Penny was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! After COVID flipped our original wedding plans from a large Juneau wedding to an intimate Lake Tahoe wedding, we we're afraid we'd be looking for a new photographer. Amazingly, when we talked to Penny about our change of plans her response was "wherever you need me, I'll be there" and she truly was! Penny went so above and beyond as a photographer. Even when an unexpected rain storm blew in on our outdoor dinner reception, Penny and her husband Bill hustled with the rest of the wedding party to shift our dinner indoors. Penny's calming and supportive personality really allowed for my husband and I to feel at complete ease and resulted in the most amazing photos from our big day. Throughout the entire process, Penny felt more like a family friend than a vendor. In the words of my mom "I just want to adopt her into our family!" We cannot wait to work with Penny in the coming years as we grow our family.

Words cannot articulate the experience Penny gave us. We came up for a micro wedding from PA unsure of the lay of the land.. Penny made sure to utilize our time wisely and take us to the MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOTS! She spent time consulting with us via zoom before our big day to ensure any requests or visual expectations were met! On our big day she was there promptly and kept everyone moving on our timeline. She did not let COVID stop my husband and I from having our special day, even after we had to reschedule and relocate the location of our intimate ceremony. Penny from becoming Images is one of the kindest human being I have ever met, and her talent matches her kindness. My husband and and I eloped in Alaska, and were so lucky to find Her. She came to get us in Juneau which was one of the port where we got off, she put us in contact with an amazing officient, and flower shop, and they all worked together to make our day magical. Penny orchestrated everything so that we wouldn’t be stressed, and found the most beautiful peaceful beach for us to get married on, and took us around Juneau and took pictures at different locations, which was great as we had never been there. Penny makes you feel very comfortable during the shoot, and knows how to capture the true you, while mixing in her personal touch. My husband and I feel we could not have had a better day, and we owe it all to Penny! We love the wedding pictures she took, and all the people and places she recommended. She is AMAZING!

I cannot begin to express how happy we were to work with Becoming Images for my daughters engagement and wedding photos. From our first phone call, Penny took time to get to know the bride and groom and what was most important to them. This was my first time planning a wedding, and Penny was so helpful from start to finish. Penny flew from Alaska for the engagement session and again for the wedding a year later. She was both professional and personable and made us all feel very comfortable with the process. We also booked the day after adventure package and were absolutely amazed with the beautiful shots and the relaxed pace. I would highly recommend considering booking the extra session to get a relaxed and focused session after the busyness of the wedding day. I have been a wedding planner for over 25 years. This past October I had the pleasure of working with Penny from Becoming Images. She was a fantastic vendor and a delightful photographer. I wish every photographer was this amazing.

Penny shot our engagement photos, wedding, and day after the wedding (which I highly recommend to get the shots you want that you didn't have time for.) She flew all the way from Alaska to Virginia for both days. She was so professional and kind. She made us feel comfortable and was attentive to our needs. She listens and collaborates with you in order to get your dream photos. For the photos and time spent it is a great price and penny is willing to work with you. We had so much fun laughing with her and getting to know her. Not to mention her photos are something out of a magazine or movie. I highly recommend her to anybody looking for a wedding photographer. She's a magician. We were lucky she was a part of our day.

I honestly don’t know where to start with Penny.. Penny is absolutely everything and more I could dream of in a photographer. I was traveling to Clolorado and stumbled across her on Instagram and fell in LOVE with her images. I immediately booked her for my engagement shoot while visiting without even meeting her! This was the best decision of my life. She is SO fun, loving, caring, so many amazing things. Sometimes photos can feel uncomfortable for your husband or even yourself if you don’t like being behind the camera but not with Penny! She makes you feel so amazing the entire time and towards the end your working that camera! My photos turned out absolutely amazing that I booked her to fly from Alaska to Minnesota to shoot my wedding day.. 1 year later she was back in MN for another wedding and you guessed it I had to book a shoot while she was here! I truly can’t say enough amazing things about her asides go book you won’t regret!

Penny was absolutely amazing!! Her assistant Lindsey was also so fun and did a great job of making us smile. The photos are incredible and the experience was truly one of the best. We will be using her again for other photos one day!

I did an outdoor boudoir session with Penny as a gift to my husband, and it was such an amazing experience! She made me feel comfortable and beautiful, and my session with her was SO much fun! I am obsessed with my images, they are absolutely stunning. I would work with Penny again in a heartbeat!

Penny is the best! We hired her to be the photographer for our wedding. She was punctual, professional, and very proactive in interacting with the venue and catering hosts, as well as members of the wedding party. Aside from the photos we posed for, she was very much in the background and we hardly noticed she was there. I did notice her taking photos at the reception as she was singing along to the music. She totally fit in with our crowd! The photos were incredible! Now that we have found Penny, she will always be our family photographer!

Like many engaged couples of 2020, we married in an elopement ceremony and pushed our larger wedding farther down the timeline. Our elopement was planned within a month or two, and it was important for us to spend our money wisely since we also had a wedding in our future. I reached out to Penny with our ideas, and she helped me and my spouse develop a price and plan to exactly what we requested. She shot both our engagement photos, followed by our elopement less than a month later. We received both galleries within a month from each session. Penny was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I couldn't be more happy that we hired her to help us out in this crazy time. I truly feel that my husband and I gained a friend here in Juneau.

She was extremely punctual and professional! In the chaos she was a calm presence that made everyone feel level! I absolutely loved how beautiful and special she made us feel and on top of all that, her pictures are AMAZING!

I’ve known Penny's family for years and watched her knack for photographing her family grow from a hobby into her “Becoming Images” business. After perusing through her website's photos and showing them to my then-fiancée we knew she was the photographer we wanted for our wedding. Before our wedding date I had never seen Penny at work and how she has melded her incredibly warm personality with directions for her subjects to capture the best images. She’s having fun, but I could see the professional side working in her eyes behind her always-present smile. Afterwards in discussions with the bridal party, family and friends; all were very pleased with her touch and presence from the rehearsal through the wedding and reception. “[Penny] didn’t miss anything” is a comment I heard from the bride’s mother referring to the photo angles, and different settings of the whole wedding portfolio. And, well, a happy Mother-in-law makes a quality photographer well worth the price.

We found Becoming Images through our wedding planner when we decided to get married in Alaska. Sometimes with these recommendations it's hard to determine if you're going to get a quality service or if there is some pre-arrangement between wedding service folks in different areas regardless of quality. This was clearly NOT the case with Becoming Images. Penny had a wonderful photo gallery online showcasing her work. When we contacted her she was very professional and took the time to ask what kind of photos we were looking for, how long we wanted to take photos, and any props or locations we wanted to incorporate. She went so far to offer to bring gloves and such if it happened to be really cold that day (we're from Louisiana so we don't have that kind of stuff just lying around)! Since she's from the area she also had some wonderful recommendations for photo opportunities. When we met Penny on the day of our wedding she was flexible so that we could enjoy every moment of the day but she was also focused on staging us (naturally) so we would have beautiful photos to document our special day for ages! She even gave us the option to extend our session if we decided there were other photos/locations we wanted to incorporate at the last minute. While we didn't do this is was great to know we had the option! The photos turned out to be spectacular. Penny did a fabulous job of capturing our wedding against the beautiful Alaskan landscape. If we could do it again we would absolutely go with Becoming Images all over again! Our only possible regret is that we didn't increase the number of images in our package, but we just had to draw the line somewhere since they were all so stunning. Thanks Penny and Becoming Images for a once in a lifetime experience!

Becoming Images captured our wedding perfectly. We fell in love with Penny and will continue to use her for all of our future photography needs. Our engagement and wedding pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Penny was able to capture every important moment in the wedding. It was so difficult to choose which ones to order for our walls and albums because each image is beautiful. We were able to have a mixture of candid, traditional and fashion-flair photography, which was amazing! Penny is so warm, creative, talented,professional and personable. Not only is she extremely gifted as what she does, but she makes the atmosphere so much fun! We were able to have an after wedding shoot with her where we put our wedding attire back on after we returned from our honeymoon and headed to the beach for a photo-shoot. I highly recommend this to every couple! Our images from this shoot are absolutely incredible! I would argue that pictures are one of the most important pieces of the wedding and I could not be happier that we put this responsibility in Penny's hands.
