Set within a three-acre landscaped estate in the beautiful shoreline community of Madison, Connecticut, Beech Tree Cottages is a charming venue for brides looking for a vintage backyard setting to host their weekend wedding.
Our property includes eight seasonal cottages and our venue includes a 1,600 square foot patio with custom tent, plus a sprawling central lawn. Our events are elegant and refined with a relaxed backyard feeling; and we strive above all to provide our clients with personalized service, a quality homemade menu, a comfortable and enjoyable evening, and a unforgettable event at a unique venue.

ur hometowns in Cape Cod and Upstate NY. We loved how they only had one wedding per weekend, and having all the cottages filled with our guests made it feel like a larger event rather than just a day.
Beyond that the real selling point was Amanda. Other venues had point people that represented the venue’s interest, but at our first meeting it was clear that she represented our interest as well. She walked us through all of the rental and food options, and was very flexible in working with our vision. On the day she worked with all of our vendors, and was always available to email about questions, concerns, freak outs, advice, and suggestions.
The family and larger Beech Tree Staff were also great to work with. They did a great job with setting up all the decor I had accumulated, and the tablescapes looked better than what I had imagined. Everyone was complimenting the bartenders. They make their own in-house BBQ solely for weddings, and it was worth the hype. Multiple people have said to us it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding!

g for. Amanda was amazing at working with us through all of the details and she made the sure the day went incredibly smooth. The venue itself was pretty yet laid back and the food was INCREDIBLE. The menu was not a determining factor for us however it was some of the best BBQ I have had in CT. Our guests could not stop talking about it! As a planner myself, I was so happy to work with a venue that let me really design and execute my vision and did all they could to help bring it to life. I am so happy with the venue and the team at Beech Tree and am endlessly grateful for all they staff there did for us and our event.

Leading up to the event, Amanda and Liz were so helpful with all aspects of planning and arranging our event. On the day of the wedding, we had about 100 guests. It was so convenient to get ready in our beautiful cabins, and then go right outside for the ceremony. The ceremony location was absolutely beautiful. Then, there were many great locations for formal photographs at the venue and at the beach across the road (we took photos at both). All over the venue, everything was beautifully arranged and decorated. The dinner tent and cocktail hour/dancing tent were perfect for the party. The food, which Beech Tree makes on site, was delicious - our guests literally keep talking about it!
Amanda and Liz did an incredible job taking our vision and making it a reality. The whole staff was helpful, kind, welcoming, and professional. We got compliments from many guests about the staff and what a great party they hosted. The event ran smoothly, and we felt very supported by the folks at Beech Tree leading up to, and during, the event. We would strongly recommend this venue!

and Liz were very accommodating of all of our needs for the 7 months from when we booked to our wedding. They were super responsive, helpful, and patient. Our wedding day was smooth thanks to them. Everyone absolutely loved the food and the venue is gorgeous. Amanda kept everything on track and made sure I was taken care of throughout the weekend, particularly on my wedding day!
