They arrived on time the day of our wedding and it was so cool to have them smoking food in front of our guests. The smells were mouth watering. Arriving an hour early to set up catering for the reception would require them showing up in the middle of the ceremony. after talking to her 3 times I kept trying to say we could have them arrive after the ceremony and set up then. She insisted that they would arrive an hour before my ceremony and it wouldn't disrupt at all. I said fine because I was tired of talking to her and lo and behold they were late and we had to push back the ceremony while we waited for them to set up. No idea why she wouldn't just agree for them to set up after the ceremony.
3. A month before my wedding, I called to confirm something with her. She sends a confirmation email but part of it doesn't make sense to. I email asking for clarification and she doesn't answer me. At that point I had given up talking to her since she never answered. Then it's time for my final deposit, I send her the final count and she sends me the amount due. I call her to once again verify that the caterers will not affect my ceremony and she says they won't. oh and I forgot to ask but what kind of alcohol did you want for the bar. Because she never answered my emails, she didn't have all the info she should have asked for previously. After confirming the menu (which included removing an appetizer I was looking forward to because "the price increased"), the final invoice was a few hundred dollars higher than the email she sent. Which wouldn't have been a big deal if she had called or confirmed at a time that wasn't a week before my wedding. Zero attention to detail. Zero communication.

d the additional hour set up time, at no charge, to facilitate your event so that you and your guests would not have to wait an additional hour after the ceremony without having anything to eat or drink. The event staff commented on how happy you were with everything that day, which you also wrote on their paperwork. I do apologize if you did not receive all our emails. We have the email history, and each email did receive a prompt reply, so perhaps something may have gone to spam? We always finalize our events one full week before the event date and at that time get any remaining details cleared up such as final guest counts and outstanding menu item selections. There was a complete supply chain shortage of crabmeat everywhere at that time, and many places were unable to offer crab cakes or were charging 2-3x regular prices, but we were able to work everything out with you beforehand to help keep your pricing the same. We are sorry again for any misunderstandings. We all work really hard to make each wedding a 5-star experience. If you reach out to us directly, we are happy to talk through any concerns to help clear things up and make things right.

ried about the most. Before my wedding, I attended another wedding catering by Beefalo Bob and did address my concerns regarding that with the caterer manager. At the end of the night they did not clean up the buffet area before leaving, and my planner was left with that. My husband did ask them to stay longer, which we were willing to pay for; however, that request was not fulfilled. With that information, I would not use them again. The food was great, but the service needs to match it, especially when the client is willing to pay for the staff to stay longer. The low score is based on the services, not the food.

ra cost. The bride and groom had our staff scheduled to leave before the event was over. We always recommend having our staff stay until the end for all weddings. To prevent any potential issues that day, our catering coordinator called the bride's wedding coordinator a week in advance to let her know she would need to do the final food cleanup and breakdown at the end of the event after our staff was scheduled to leave. The day of, the coordinator did not want to maintain the food after the staff left the leftovers behind neatly panned up for any remaining guests who may have still been hungry. When we recently spoke with the bride, she was very understanding and grateful for the staff staying the extra time and explained that she thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff’s service that day. She was very happy that our staff went above and beyond the day of the event and provided her additional services at no extra charge to ensure everything went perfectly.

But, the best info to give you is that they catered our outside wedding on the night of the Ellicott City flood on July 30, 2016 (the wedding was in Clarksville). It was raining like crazy (happily, not until the ceremony, cocktail hour, and photos were finished). The catering station was outside of the tent, so the staff got very wet.... they continued to smile through it all and were very pleasant! The tent company that they used was Grand Rental and they did a wonderful job.... the tent stayed up through the "deluge" and kept us dry! I wish I could give Beefalo Bob's more than 5 stars!

When I came across Beefalo Bob's I thought, these prices are too good to be true. Turns out, I was wrong!
For $18.95 a person, we got apps (cheese, crackers & veggies), all four meats (beef, ham, turkey, pulled pork), an entree (baked ziti, AMAZING!), 2 cold sides, and 3 hot! It was so much food, and made it easy to make sure each and every one of our guests were satisfied, including our gluten free friends.
Everything was amazing and the staff who served us was very attentive. FYI, the above price did not include the beverages or alcohol, we provided our own. I also wasn't thrilled with their dinnerware so I ordered my own, they did however bring along their own just in case I ran out. Or in our case, forgot that we might want bowls for the salad.
Michelle was in charge of our account and was completely on top of things. Whenever I emailed her I had a response almost immediately. I felt like I was driving her crazy but she assured me, it was her job to answer all of my questions and to ask as many as I wanted.
I would recommend Beefalo Bobs to anyone looking for a rustic menu, wedding or not. And will certainly look to them for my next catered party!

When I wanted to add, change or remove a menu item, shave a few dollars off our bill, or just get some input/advice/information, she was always on hand to deliver it in a fast and friendly way!
On the day of, **all** of the staff ran the show professionally, even though we had made the most relaxed "timeline" ever and on top of that, were running over an hour late getting started. Two of the staff were very attentive to my husband and I, making sure we got to eat and drink amid all of the chaos. They also checked in with me a few times to make sure everything was as expected - they were helpful and attentive without being demanding or overwhelming, or drawing us away from our guests or fun. They made sure everything was cleaned up and put away, and made sure we were satisfied before they left us. We loved the food, and the entire time, they were accommodating and never obtrusive.
After our event they checked on us via email to make sure everything was to our satisfaction - it was! We were super happy with everything - the food, the drinks, the service, the staff - and have NO complaints whatsoever!

o add and remove things from our contract for months.They provided food for the cocktail hour and dinner, drinks (warm and cold), table linens, chairs, place settings, servers - the servers were a huge help. When my husband and I sat down at our table, a couple of them immediately brought us a plate loaded with everything so that we wouldn't have to get up and go through the buffet to get it. They also cut the cake for the guests (the cake being from a different vendor).
The food is fantastic. I really had my heart set on barbecue and boy did they deliver. The meats and sauces are delicious. The only thing that I wasn't sure of for a while was the mac n' cheese - I love mac n' cheese, and every time we ordered it at their restaurant location, it tasted fairly bland. We decided to risk including it as a side anyway, and it came out great for the wedding.
I highly recommend choosing them for your caterer. They're very easy to work with, their prices are reasonable, and there's the added bonus of being able to visit their restaurant whenever you want to relive your wedding dinner!

Our account was handed over to Michelle with little confusion and she was able to pick up right where it was left off. Michelle always answered all of my questions within a few hours and was always patient and accommodating. She always had my contract updated immediately with any change I contacted her with. She was amazing to work with. The delivery and pickup of the rentals went smoothly. The day of the wedding, the staff who was present was equally as accommodating. They really went above and beyond their duties as caterers. They set up and cleaned up and were really pleasant to work with.

dinators were really friendly and helpful. We went for a tasting and got to try everything we were interested in. The girls who set up your contract really helped narrow down details so you don't forget anything. It was also really convenient that they offer DJ services as part of their packages. That really helped tie the timeframes together and eliminate one more detail from the list of planning. They served our sweetheart table and checked back with us several times to make sure everything was okay. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone having a rustic or casual wedding.

to use the grill we had reserved at a much larger event on the same day as our wedding. They offered us a huge discount and promised all else with our contract would remain completely the same. While talking with them through phone calls they then trie dto change the termsin which we originaly discussed. We finally agreed to what I was originally told would be the deal; Everything onmy contract would remain exactly the same with the exception of the on site grill. Well on my wedding day, while my entire wedding party and myself were trying to get ready they show up with out tables to set up on. My husband had to call the main office and take timeaway from the photographer to handle this problem. In the end they told him they could send 1 table (in which we needed 2-3 tables)but it would take several hours to get there. My father in-law and hired bartenders had to take care of the problem and borrow tables from the local bar. The staff at Beefalo Bob's seem very uninterested in rectifying thier mistake.

Ordinarily I would not respond to a review, but unfortunately, this one contains some incorrect information that needs to be clarified. While we did give the client an option to change her event at her discretion in order to save her some money...
on her event, the terms in the discussion never changed at any time, and detailed notes of every conversation were recorded in our catering program. When the bride had called back the next day after thinking everything over, she had a few misunderstandings that were cleared up for her. For the sake of clarity, we went over all the details again with her and specifically discussed that the food would be the same and that the only difference besides the grill would be that there would not be a buffet tent or buffet tables. The updated contract that the bride signed also stated that the event was to be done as a delivery and setup with those terms, which do not include a buffet tent or buffet tables.
Because we understand that brides have a lot of things they discuss and have to remember, when the groom initially called that day and said he needed us to provide the tables, we then immediately started looking to see if we had anyone we could send. Although we were completely booked and all our vehicles were on other events, we managed to send one of our cooks in another employee’s personal vehicle out to the site with multiple buffet tables (not one). The groom was called back with this information about five minutes after he had initially called. He was also told that we were sending our employee out on that 45 minute drive and that it would be at no additional cost, since the bride had said she didn’t remember the conversation regarding the tables and we wanted to make sure they were happy. Once the driver arrived, they had already located two tables elsewhere and our food was already set up.
Ultimately, the customers had indicated they were happy with the food and service our staff provided at the event, and the guests raved over everything as well. In fact, on the driver’s copy of the order, she wrote that she was satisfied with everything she received and also wrote, “Thank you Nicole for a great job!”. We always strive for complete satisfaction with every order, and we feel that by sending out that staff member for that long trip with tables that were not paid for, and that were not on the contract, at no additional charge, that we went above and beyond what should have been expected from us for this event, and in the end the event turned out great.
The food was perfect, and the price was fantastic! Everyone raved about the food and the servings were so big we were able to send leftovers home for lunch before the wedding!

The food was incredible and all our guests raved about it! I have never had food for that number of people that wasn't on the drier side. The staff onsite were wonderful and made sure that my husband and I had plenty of food and a space to eat. The one particular staff person kept coming to get us as we were forever getting side-tracked on our way to our plates! They were very professional and far exceeded all of our expectations! If you are looking for a fun, more casual wedding meal, this is the way to go!
