Before the veil did amazing! My hair and makeup looked great and stayed all day! They were accommodating with all my changes and helpful with suggestions when I didn't really know what I wanted. They were very professional on the day of my wedding and my sisters loved their hair and makeup too. Very happy I booked with Before the Veil!

I couldn’t be happier with my makeup! Myself and 4 others from my bridal party also got their makeup done. Amanda was very nice and did a wonderful job on everyone. She managed her tune well and made the experience very nice and easy.

Amanda, Shelley and Jenny did a phenomenal job on my bridal party, mother's and bride makeup! They were so fun to work with, nice to talk to and very professional. Amanda was great at corresponding for my trial, wedding day schedule and any general questions. The team was ahead of schedule with 12 services to do and were able to do makeup and hair on a variety of skin and hair types. Our makeup lasted all day & even my husband said he was so glad we booked Before the Veil because we all felt so confident and beautiful! Highly recommend!

Amanda and her partners are INCREDIBLE! They beautifully brought my vision to life for my wedding hair and makeup, and also did a wonderful job on my mother and bridesmaids. They were also super friendly and fun to talk to, which made the getting ready process go really smoothly. A day or so before the wedding, Amanda let me know she wouldn't be able to make it due to a family emergency, but she immediately found a replacement makeup artist to send in her place who did an incredible job. So if you book Before the Veil you will definitely be in good hands!! I can't recommend them enough!

I had Amanda & shelli do my makeup for my wedding & then a few days later for couples portraits. They are amazing!!! I felt absolutely beautiful & my hair and makeup lasted all night. I had 2 bridesmaids who love to glam, and 1 who doesn’t really wear makeup at all, and everyone looked gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would without question use them again if I needed my hair and makeup professionally done

The bridal party had a quick window before photos and the team showed up on time and were so much fun to get ready with. I only wish they could have stayed and partied at the wedding with us! The hair and makeup at my wedding from Before the Veil was nothing short of perfect! All 11 of us that got our makeup done looked better than ever! Amanda and Shelby listened to what each of us wanted and also put there input where necessary to make us look our best. Everyone looked flawless and stood out perfectly. Shelly and team also did amazing on everyone's hair. My hair has issues holding normally and it still looked perfect by the end of the almost 12 hour day! I would use them again for any event and highly recommend for wedding HAMU. So easy to work with!

Amanda and her team is AMAZING! My bridal make up was perfection. Amanda gave me exactly what I wanted and made sure I liked the look as we went along. I felt so comfortable with her doing my make up and she was very COVID-conscious which we really appreciated. She also did my mom’s make up and it was stunning. Having mature skin, my mom was worried it would be difficult to make her look great, but Amanda is so skilled! We wish we could have her do our make up every day! Shelley did the most beautiful hairstyle and I was so pleased with the outcome. She also took the time to discuss my vision and executed it flawlessly. I had my bridal party's makeup and hair done by Before The Veil and we each loved all their work and planning up to the day Amanda was fantastic to work & communicate with - she was always prompt on returning my correspondence and so kind! Shelby did our makeup and I absolutely adored my look, I did have her do a trial on me prior to the day and so we were able to really nail my makeup for the big day. Shelby did our hair and while we didn't do a trial beforehand, she really listened and paid attention to the pictures of inspiration I brought to show her - my hair and makeup were spot on for what I had envisioned (the absolute most beautiful version of myself!) I am so happy I hired Before the Veil!

I loved Amanda and her team! They did a great job at my wedding and were very accommodating. I had a total of 9 people get make up and hair and because my ceremony was at 11, we had to be up SUPER early. We were all done before 10am. Our make up and hair was beautiful and it lasted all day( my wedding ended at 1am). I definitely recommend them for your wedding as they listen to everything you ask for. I actually didn’t get to have a trial run and even without it everything was great. She was available and answering questions about extensions days before the day. I’m so glad I went with them for all my hair and makeup and will for sure go to Amanda for any make up needs I have!

Amanda is an absolutely wonderful person to work with and does beautiful work! She was a joy to be with and truly created a happy, yet professional environment while getting ready. The morning of your wedding can be stressful and anxiety inducing, so being with people that are calm, cool and collected (and funny!) really helps. She did makeup for me, my bridesmaids, mothers, a grandmother and a touch of sweet makeup for the flower girl. She also did the makeup for my portrait which we treated as a trial run for wedding. She is so talented and did phenomenal work!

I’m so happy we found Before the Veil! I was looking for a makeup artist with a cruelty-free and preferably vegan kit -- apparently a tall order in the makeup world -- and was lucky to have found Amanda! My wedding was in Austin, which meant we didn’t do a trial run before the actual event, but both my hair and makeup turned out exactly how I was envisioning. Amanda nailed the rose gold glam I was hoping for! She was totally down to chat about the products she recommended and what my shade was in complexion products. My wedding day had some unexpected twists and turns and Amanda and her team were compassionate and flexible, and managed to fit SO much work into a very crunched timeline. I am so happy with my decision to hire Before the Veil!

Amanda (makeup) and Shelley (hair) were amazing to work with for my wedding day. S They worked with all my bridesmaids, my mom, mother in law and myself and made all of us look amazing. Amanda was amazing to work with! Very kind and professional! I had never had my makeup professionally done before and wanted to keep a relatively natural look for my wedding. I shared with her my makeup vision and she executed it perfectly. I felt confident and beautiful, and I received many compliments on my makeup. It also lasted all day! Since my face is super oily, she left my maid of honor some powder that I could use throughout the day to control the shine. Amanda was also flexible with time and adjusted to make sure we all got ready in time. She made my wedding makeup dreams come true!

Amanda was amazing! I spoke to her on the phone and we were able to talk about what I wanted exactly. I sent her inspo pictures and we communicated through out the time until it was the time for my wedding. Amanda is AMAZING! Not only is she insanely talented, but she's incredibly sweet and made me feel so comfortable. She listened to all of my concerns about how I wanted my makeup day-of to look and executed it with a precision I'm still floored by. She made all of my bridesmaids look incredible and she made sure they were comfortable with their makeup as well which I really appreciated! I've been a bridesmaid in so many weddings and felt like a stranger to myself when I got out of the makeup chair. So to know they all felt happy and beautiful made me so happy. As for coverage, she used traditional application and did so much amazing color-correction work (on me at least) the makeup felt SO light and comfortable but lasted all day! I was shocked we didn't have to use airbrushing but Amanda is just that amazing! Book her, I promise you'll be so so glad you did.

Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Planning a wedding in Texas from California was not easy at all but she was so helpful and accommodating with scheduling a trial around the couple of days I was in town. Not many people will open up their house for a makeup trial, but she did and it speaks volumes about the type of person she is. Amanda made sure I loved everything and was able to excute the exact look I dreamed about for my wedding day. I felt absolutely radiant and beautiful the entire day! (As did my bridesmaids, mom and MIL.) All night, people were commenting on how beautiful all of our makeup looked and how natural it was. I met Amanda over 9 years ago when she worked at MAC and have referred multiple friends to her for weddings and events. She is always punctual, professional and very clean. She is extremely friendly and has a wonderful way of putting people at ease on stressful days. Her work is obviously incredible as well, she knows how to accent the best features of a person. Amanda is amazing! She did my sister's and my make up about a year ago for my sister's wedding. We loved her so much that we asked her to come back for my big day too! She arrived early, listened to exactly what we all wanted, and created the exact natural look that I was going for. As someone who normally wears only mascara, it was important to me to not lose that natural look I love so much. The make up lasted all day, even in the heat during our pictures. Highly recommend!

But, when deciding on who was going to be my makeup artist for the wedding, choosing Amanda was one of the easiest and best decision I could have ever made. I have been in several weddings with all of my childhood best friends getting married and I have had Amanda do my bridesmaids make up in every single wedding I’ve been in. She is seriously the best. I ask for her every time I know the bride books her. She listens to what you like, what you don’t like. She will also ask you how dramatic you like your eye shadow, blush, eye liner, basically whatever you can think of! She is very thorough with her brush cleaning and making sure she never double dips her mascara and lip color wands! Another plus is she makes sure you either want or don’t want a touch up before she packs up to leave. Gives you a chance to see how everyone else’s faces look and if you want a little more of this or that. I LOVE that. She is amazing at applying make up for girls who don’t wear a lot of make up usually and girls like me who like it known they have make up on! 5 out of 5 stars you won’t regret booking her for your special day!!!

I am by far the pickiest when it comes to my makeup. I mean, who knows your face better than you? Well, Amanda. Amanda does. She was the ONLY person I considered hiring for my big day. I mean, after my trial, my future husband turned to me, bright eyed, and said "you look amazing." She was SO attentive, made me feel SO comfortable with her, and listened to EXACTLY what I wanted. Sometimes its hard to ask any artist to tweek their work, but Amanda opens the floor for it before you even get the chance to ask. She'll ask you, "is there anything else you might want?." My skin looked flawless the day of and my eye makeup suited my face. She just has the eye for it and that is so hard to come by. I cannot rant and rave enough about her. I have a MUA for life now. I met Amanda as a bridesmaid in a wedding. She did such amazing job that I have continued to use her at least 6-10 times a year for events. If you are looking for that absolutely flawless contoured face but yet not caked on she is your woman! She one of the best make-up artist I have ever used, which is saying something as I have had numerous artist including Trish McEvoy herself do my makeup. Beyond that she is prompt, kind hearted, and a joy to be around.

Amanda has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She did my makeup at a wedding I was in and I absolutely felt so beautiful.
