Before the veil did amazing! My hair and makeup looked great and stayed all day! They were accommodating with all my changes and helpful with suggestions when I didn't really know what I wanted. They were very professional on the day of my wedding and my sisters loved their hair and makeup too. Very happy I booked with Before the Veil!

I couldn’t be happier with my makeup! Myself and 4 others from my bridal party also got their makeup done. Amanda was very nice and did a wonderful job on everyone. She managed her tune well and made the experience very nice and easy.

Amanda, Shelley and Jenny did a phenomenal job on my bridal party, mother's and bride makeup! They were so fun to work with, nice to talk to and very professional. Amanda was great at corresponding for my trial, wedding day schedule and any general questions. The team was ahead of schedule with 12 services to do and were able to do makeup and hair on a variety of skin and hair types. Our makeup lasted all day & even my husband said he was so glad we booked Before the Veil because we all felt so confident and beautiful! Highly recommend!

Amanda and her partners are INCREDIBLE! They beautifully brought my vision to life for my wedding hair and makeup, and also did a wonderful job on my mother and bridesmaids. They were also super friendly and fun to talk to, which made the getting ready process go really smoothly. A day or so before the wedding, Amanda let me know she wouldn't be able to make it due to a family emergency, but she immediately found a replacement makeup artist to send in her place who did an incredible job. So if you book Before the Veil you will definitely be in good hands!! I can't recommend them enough!

I had Amanda & shelli do my makeup for my wedding & then a few days later for couples portraits. They are amazing!!! I felt absolutely beautiful & my hair and makeup lasted all night. I had 2 bridesmaids who love to glam, and 1 who doesn’t really wear makeup at all, and everyone looked gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would without question use them again if I needed my hair and makeup professionally done

The bridal party had a quick window before photos and the team showed up on time and were so much fun to get ready with. I only wish they could have stayed and partied at the wedding with us! The hair and makeup at my wedding from Before the Veil was nothing short of perfect! All 11 of us that got our makeup done looked better than ever! Shelly and team also did amazing on everyone's hair. My hair has issues holding normally and it still looked perfect by the end of the almost 12 hour day! Amanda and her team is AMAZING! My bridal make up was perfection. Amanda gave me exactly what I wanted and made sure I liked the look as we went along. I felt so comfortable with her doing my make up and she was very COVID-conscious which we really appreciated. She also did my mom’s make up and it was stunning. Having mature skin, my mom was worried it would be difficult to make her look great, but Amanda is so skilled! We wish we could have her do our make up every day! Shelley did the most beautiful hairstyle and I was so pleased with the outcome. She also took the time to discuss my vision and executed it flawlessly. I had my bridal party's makeup and hair done by Before The Veil and we each loved all their work and planning up to the day Amanda was fantastic to work & communicate with - she was always prompt on returning my correspondence and so kind! Shelby did our makeup and I absolutely adored my look, I did have her do a trial on me prior to the day and so we were able to really nail my makeup for the big day. Shelby did our hair and while we didn't do a trial beforehand, she really listened and paid attention to the pictures of inspiration I brought to show her - my hair and makeup were spot on for what I had envisioned (the absolute most beautiful version of myself!) I am so happy I hired Before the Veil!

I loved Amanda and her team! They did a great job at my wedding and were very accommodating. I had a total of 9 people get make up and hair and because my ceremony was at 11, we had to be up SUPER early. We were all done before 10am. Our make up and hair was beautiful and it lasted all day( my wedding ended at 1am). I definitely recommend them for your wedding as they listen to everything you ask for. I actually didn’t get to have a trial run and even without it everything was great. She was available and answering questions about extensions days before the day. I’m so glad I went with them for all my hair and makeup and will for sure go to Amanda for any make up needs I have!

Amanda is an absolutely wonderful person to work with and does beautiful work! She was a joy to be with and truly created a happy, yet professional environment while getting ready. The morning of your wedding can be stressful and anxiety inducing, so being with people that are calm, cool and collected (and funny!) really helps. She did makeup for me, my bridesmaids, mothers, a grandmother and a touch of sweet makeup for the flower girl. She also did the makeup for my portrait which we treated as a trial run for wedding. I’m so happy we found Before the Veil! I was looking for a makeup artist with a cruelty-free and preferably vegan kit -- apparently a tall order in the makeup world -- and was lucky to have found Amanda! My wedding was in Austin, which meant we didn’t do a trial run before the actual event, but both my hair and makeup turned out exactly how I was envisioning. Amanda nailed the rose gold glam I was hoping for! She was totally down to chat about the products she recommended and what my shade was in complexion products. My wedding day had some unexpected twists and turns and Amanda and her team were compassionate and flexible, and managed to fit SO much work into a very crunched timeline. I am so happy with my decision to hire Before the Veil!

Amanda was amazing to work with! Very kind and professional! I had never had my makeup professionally done before and wanted to keep a relatively natural look for my wedding. Since my face is super oily, she left my maid of honor some powder that I could use throughout the day to control the shine. Amanda is AMAZING! Not only is she insanely talented, but she's incredibly sweet and made me feel so comfortable. She listened to all of my concerns about how I wanted my makeup day-of to look and executed it with a precision I'm still floored by. She made all of my bridesmaids look incredible and she made sure they were comfortable with their makeup as well which I really appreciated! I've been a bridesmaid in so many weddings and felt like a stranger to myself when I got out of the makeup chair. So to know they all felt happy and beautiful made me so happy. As for coverage, she used traditional application and did so much amazing color-correction work (on me at least) the makeup felt SO light and comfortable but lasted all day! I was shocked we didn't have to use airbrushing but Amanda is just that amazing! Book her, I promise you'll be so so glad you did.

Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Planning a wedding in Texas from California was not easy at all but she was so helpful and accommodating with scheduling a trial around the couple of days I was in town. Not many people will open up their house for a makeup trial, but she did and it speaks volumes about the type of person she is. Amanda made sure I loved everything and was able to excute the exact look I dreamed about for my wedding day. I felt absolutely radiant and beautiful the entire day! Amanda is amazing! She did my sister's and my make up about a year ago for my sister's wedding. We loved her so much that we asked her to come back for my big day too! She arrived early, listened to exactly what we all wanted, and created the exact natural look that I was going for. As someone who normally wears only mascara, it was important to me to not lose that natural look I love so much. The make up lasted all day, even in the heat during our pictures. Highly recommend!

I have been in several weddings with all of my childhood best friends getting married and I have had Amanda do my bridesmaids make up in every single wedding I’ve been in. She is seriously the best. I ask for her every time I know the bride books her. She listens to what you like, what you don’t like. She will also ask you how dramatic you like your eye shadow, blush, eye liner, basically whatever you can think of! She is very thorough with her brush cleaning and making sure she never double dips her mascara and lip color wands! Another plus is she makes sure you either want or don’t want a touch up before she packs up to leave. Gives you a chance to see how everyone else’s faces look and if you want a little more of this or that. I LOVE that. She is amazing at applying make up for girls who don’t wear a lot of make up usually and girls like me who like it known they have make up on! 5 out of 5 stars you won’t regret booking her for your special day!!!

I am by far the pickiest when it comes to my makeup. I mean, who knows your face better than you? Well, Amanda. Amanda does. She was the ONLY person I considered hiring for my big day. I mean, after my trial, my future husband turned to me, bright eyed, and said "you look amazing." She was SO attentive, made me feel SO comfortable with her, and listened to EXACTLY what I wanted. Sometimes its hard to ask any artist to tweek their work, but Amanda opens the floor for it before you even get the chance to ask. She'll ask you, "is there anything else you might want?." My skin looked flawless the day of and my eye makeup suited my face. She just has the eye for it and that is so hard to come by. I cannot rant and rave enough about her. I have a MUA for life now. I met Amanda as a bridesmaid in a wedding. She did such amazing job that I have continued to use her at least 6-10 times a year for events. If you are looking for that absolutely flawless contoured face but yet not caked on she is your woman! She one of the best make-up artist I have ever used, which is saying something as I have had numerous artist including Trish McEvoy herself do my makeup. Beyond that she is prompt, kind hearted, and a joy to be around.

Amanda has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She did my makeup at a wedding I was in and I absolutely felt so beautiful. Amanda is AWESOME!!! I am TERRIFIED of getting my makeup done, because it always looks so fake and I never feel like myself. Amanda was the best makeup artist hands down! She did makeup for both my engagement pictures and wedding day. We had to schedule our engagements picture pretty last minute because my photographer was in between traveling and Amanda was extremely flexible and was able to fit me in on a short notice. I usually wear very light makeup so Amanda took into account all my concerns about not wanting to look extremely different but still capturing a natural look that would make me feel bomb AF for both my engagement pics and wedding day! Her and her assistant did all my bridesmaids makeup as well and we had zero complaints. I’ve actually had multiple people on social media ask for her information because they loved all of our looks. They both cared for each individual bridesmaid and would account for any questions or concerns they had. I opted not to have a hairstylist because my bridesmaids knew we could help on each others hair and since Amanda finished up a bit earlier than planned she offered to jump in and help a couple of us with that as well. She even gave us tips and advice on makeup for our everyday looks. I cannot express enough how amazing she was and how beautiful she made all of us feel! She’s truly an expert in the beauty field!

I can't say enough good things about Before the Veil! Amanda did my bridal makeup, as well as my bridesmaids and MOB's. She can do any style of makeup, but what makes her the best is that she actually listens to each person's individual preferences. I did two makeup trials with other companies and felt like they didn't listen to anything I said. When I did my trial with Amanda she listened to my ideas and put all my fears to rest. I wanted a natural look with a little bit of pop, and she blew my expectations out of the water. A few of my bridesmaids wanted their makeup to be a little more done up, and Amanda executed flawlessly. They can do it all and they are very easy going. I highly recommend Before the Veil for your big day!

As we all know one of the most important things about preparing for the wedding day is making sure we look and feel ABSOLUTELY Beautiful when we walk down the isle to the man we're about to say "I do" to!! I must say I have never felt more Gorgeous than I did on my wedding day and I have Misty, Amanda + the whole team of ladies they brought to thank for that!! From the moment the day started they were there promptly + on time to our what seemed like forever + far away venue! I arrived with 4 of my 10 bridesmaids already seated + getting their makeup + hair done!! I was pretty specific in the look I wanted for each woman from makeup to hair + they completely nailed my expectations!! My mom was so nervous to have her hair + makeup done because she won't ever let anyone do hers except herself lol but after I had worked with Amanda + Misty for both my engagement photo's + my bridals she was sold on how great they were + gave them a shot + I must say my mom looked absolutely flawless as did the rest of my bridal party!! My now husband :) was in love with how beautiful they made me look on our big day!! They did so good on my makeup + hair that (I'm a little embarrassed to say) I even slept with my makeup on + hair down + woke up the next morning still looking like the day before lol TRUE STORY!! Hey every girl wants to still feel like she did the night of her wedding the next day haha!! Thank you ladies for making me feel + look like a Princess on my wedding day!! I couldn't have asked for a better team to have have made me + all my possy feel + look as beautiful as you all did!! What can I say about Amanda besides the fact that she is a true artist and the most talented makeup artist I have had the pleasure of meeting. To say that I am incredibly picky about who I let touch my face would be an understatement. My makeup was the MOST important thing to me for my wedding and I did no less than 6 trials with different makeup artists before I found Amanda. And from the first time we talked and I sent her pictures of the wedding look I was going for, she got it. I remember texting my now husband : ) and being so excited saying "OMG I THINK I FOUND MY MAKEUP ARTIST! SHE JUST GETS IT!!!!" I couldn't wait to do my trial with her to see if my instinct was right. And it was! She is the makeup dream team. I have never felt or looked so beautiful in my life thanks to this amazing and talented woman. I'm now looking for any excuse I can to have her do my makeup again. She will be the only one from here on that I will ever let touch my face. Uh words can NOT describe this woman's gifts. And I feel so incredibly lucky to have found her.

Amanda is AMAZING. She is an incredibly talented makeup artist. Her pricing is reasonable and she is willing to travel. She also has contacts for hair as well! She was so fun to work with and gave me exactly what I was wanting for my special day. I highly recommend Amanda. 10 out of 10 all day every day!

Amanda is incredible! My mom, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and I looked gorgeous! I have terrible skin which she somehow made look flawless! We also used her hairstylist, Shelley, who is equally as amazing! We all looked beautiful all night long without any touch ups! Amanda and Shelley are super responsive and easy to work with. They had us all ready 15 minutes earlier than promised and even fit in our tiny diva of a flower girl :) I cannot stop staring at pictures of myself. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day!

Amanda was so easy to work with and everyone loved the way they looked. My friends and I are not huge makeup people and Amanda listened to us and made everyone look incredible! I would recommend her to anyone!

Amanda is truly a makeup Goddess and an amazing artist!! She was able to give me the exact bridal look I wanted and it stayed on after crying my way through my husbands letter, pictures and dancing!! She also has an awesome personality and her response time is super quick! Absolutely my favorite!

Amanda was such a gift! Not only did she do my makeup for my boudoir shoot, she made me feel so gorgeous I had to have her for my big day. I was so lucky she was free! She was so professional and was able to make me, my bridesmaids, and my mom look and feel beautiful! She came prepared for all skin types and took each individual into account to personalize our looks for the camera. For me, it was my eyes (play them up!). For my matron of honor, she loved the lips. Each look was perfect, and I will cherish the photos of my big day forever.

Amanda did my wedding makeup on 9/2/17 and was amazing!!! I have never felt more beautiful in my life. Seriously, my makeup was flawless. She listened to my vision and executed it perfectly. She also did the makeup of my mom, mother of groom, and 5 bridesmaids. They looked stunning. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she's so fun to be around, which is nice when you're nervous on your wedding day! Highly recommend!

Amanda was absolutely incredible! She spent so much time communicating with me before my wedding day to make sure everything would be perfect when the time came and the work she did was amazing. As much as I hate to admit it, I have a hard time trusting people with my vision. As a wedding photographer, I have seen the ins and outs of the wedding industry and I didn't want anything to go wrong on my wedding day. I had a vision and I didn't want any vendor to disrupt it. I think Amanda could sense my timidity and she made me feel super comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She was also so down-to-earth and easy to talk to which was a huge plus. I cried when I saw my face for the first time. Amanda took the vision that I had and went above and beyond. I wanted my makeup to look natural and bridal and also to reflect who I was. I was nervous about the fake eyelashes because I had seen them go wrong before. I was really blown away. Nothing looked fake or over-the-top, but it all looked angelic and bridal. Everyone in that room could see my face light up and I think that's when I was finally able to relax. I cannot recommend Amanda enough. Her experience, skill and reviews all speak for themselves - and her sweet spirit is an added bonus! Thank you for EVERYTHING, Amanda!

Amanda was amazing! From the moment she showed up to do my trial , I was amazed by her talent. She truly loves what she does, and she knows exactly what colors, and style looks best. Amanda did my makeup for a wedding I attended and she was the most rad down the earth chic! And can I say talented?!!
