Thalia was very responsive while booking and leading up to our event. She answered all of our questions and helped us understand what to expect from their services. The day of Bill showed up with great energy and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He listened to what we wanted and pushed us out of our comfort zone in the best way. Our photos came out absolutely stunning!

Bill was so amazing to work with. He shot our beach wedding on 12.31.23. His personality is 🔥, he had so many awesome ideas/poses, and was overall perfection. His photos came out stunning and he captured our perfect day so well! Bill and my husband are both Vets and had some good laughs between each other. So glad we found Behind A Lens!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Thalia and Bill for my wedding on 3/14/24. If you're looking for a wedding photographer who will work with you on your niche requests, big bridal party personalities and with a specific budget, look no further as you will NOT sacrifice quality with this company. Behind A Lens was an absolute pleasure to work with. We'd do it again! From the very first discovery phone call, we were met with professionalism and transparency. I spoke with Bill about all of our needs and big questions. He is a delightful, professional, well-spoken individual who went above and beyond to make us feel like we were making the best decision for our photography needs. I booked their services within a 10 minute conversation. As the wedding drew closer, Thalia worked with us on the details and payment schedule. They were transparent, flexible, and incredibly communicative so we knew exactly what to expect. She finalized the shot list well in advance, she texted with me last minute about schedule changes around potential rain, and they never missed a beat. We haven't even talked about the pictures yet! I asked Bill to arrive for our first set of pre-wedding photos at 2pm. At 1:15, 45 minutes early, he was ready, camera in-hand to take 'getting ready' photos which wasn't even included in our schedule!! I was like, "what are you doing here?!" and he was like, "don't you want to remember this part too??" When we moved on to my portraits, he gave me and the bridal party clear instructions to ensure we got the quality shots we wanted. This continued throughout the day, and he seamlessly blended into our ceremony to take some candid shots without disrupting any sort of flow. When you're working with a group like ours, I knew we required a patient photographer who could reel in the group. Bill did exactly that without hesitation. He even re-did our entire groomsmen's ties because they had no idea what they were doing LOL Within a day following the wedding, Thalia and Bill gave us access to 25 'sneak-peek' photos. Thalia asked if I had any requests. I mentioned the ceremony was particularly exciting to see, and she provided that and more. Thank you Behind A Lens, you are the best option in the Austin Area. Our photographer was the best and was so personable. I am so happy that I choose this company to take pictures of my day. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and make me want to cry every time I look at them. You can feel and see the love and emotion. When looking for a photographer I wanted someone that captured all my loved ones at my wedding. I wanted to see everyone happy, talking, and dancing. Based on the vibe I got from the previews I took a dive for Behind a Lens. Honestly I was blown away. Bill was light hearted, fun, easy to work with, and lead us along so we could enjoy ourselves even in photos. There were so many fantastic candid shots that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. The colors are vibrant and setting ideas are both classic and innovative. He played off the energy of my guests and he's always looking to make the best possible photo everytime. The communication even after our wedding was fantastic. Timely and fast with photos. Also very happy to make adjustments and easy to communicate with. Also you're able to upgrade your wedding photography package later. I would absolutely recommend Behind a Lens. It's so affordable but the quality is premium.
