already knew we were in great hands—but he still went above and beyond.
His planning app made everything so easy—all our details, song choices, and timelines were organized and synced right into his system. It took so much stress off our plates and kept everything running perfectly.
The night went off without a hitch—no worries about equipment, timing, or professionalism. The dance floor was full all night, and we heard nothing but great things from our guests about the music and energy.
He’s such a great guy—easy to work with, organized, and genuinely cares about making your day perfect. If you want a DJ you can completely trust to keep the party going, Behind the Board DJs is the one!

and what we had planned for our big day. He utilized an app that made planning so easy and ensuring we had the music we wanted on our day. He even let us customize it a bit to allow for a Disney/Showtunes hour which was so incredibly fun on our day! He was happy to flex and adjust to make sure the day went so smoothly!
He was fun, full of energy, extremely talented at managing a crowd and was so professional. My guests continue to rave about our wedding DJ, six months later.
We highly recommend Behind the Board DJ for your next event, you won't be disappointed!

ing all night, read the room perfectly, and had everyone raving about his enthusiasm and talent. His app made planning easy and fun — my wife and I loved filling out the questionnaires and picking songs together that we wanted to hear throughout the night. Steve went above and beyond, coordinating with our minister and event planner well in advance to make sure every detail was covered. His equipment is top-notch, his timing flawless, and his speeches perfectly timed and heartfelt. There wasn’t a stone left unturned, and everything went perfectly thanks to him. We’re so glad we chose DJ Steve — he truly made our wedding unforgettable!
Steve is an expert at his craft. He provides much more than a song selector. We were so pleased with his professionalism, attention to detail, and advice. He works closely with you...
and all involved in your event to ensure success. You won't regret working with someone as dedicated as Steve and he's going to provide a top notch level of service without the variability and randomness you will get by working with other companies. There's really no reason to look elsewhere because Steve is truly a MASTER of ceremonies and highly recommend

He knows how to read the room and play the music to keep people on the dance floor and having a good time. The way he interacts with the crowd is amazing and fun! We had people telling us at our wedding that they wanted to hire Steve for their wedding. Hiring Steve and letting Steve be Steve is the best decision we ever made for a DJ/MC at our wedding! Would 100% hire Steve over again!

Not only were we pleased, but we heard many compliments from our guests on how much they liked him too!

nts. He makes you feel like family. Things have been stressful with COVID but he was with us every single step of the way. We debated on if we even needed a DJ anymore since we decided to do just a casual backyard wedding, but we were SOO glad we decided to stay with DJ Steve. He is MORE than just a DJ. He is so involved in ever aspect, connects with your vendors, and is so easy to work with. His passion for people and music is evident. He always was quick to respond to our texts or emails. At the reception, he did an awesome job reading the room and had the dance floor packed the entire night! He even got out of the DJ booth and danced with us a few times, which my guests and I loved. It was honestly one of the most fun nights I've ever had, and I can not thank Steve enough! I would recommend him to anyone!

fast, reminded me to breath once in while, and I just had so much confidence in him before the wedding. I love how excited he was about everything as well, he met with my wedding coordinator to check in on how to set things up that made the most sense. He just went so far above and beyond what a typical dj does that I was wow'd by him. At the wedding he made sure everyone had fun, that it went smooth, did announcements, I love when DJ's get on the floor and dance with you & he totally did - Great dancer too! Our guests loved him, thought he was so cool and fun. He was perfect for our day and I'm so happy that we went with him. He made the experience so much fun.
