Joy made everything feel so natural and easy between both the engagement shoot and the wedding day. Joy is extremely organized and is fantastic with time management - her template for the timeline worked so well for further planning. When the ceremony ran over, she got us back on target and moving out of the church while getting all the photos we had requested. She has such great vision for small details and how things will photograph - I often said “I trust your vision!” and the photos turned out so stunning! I especially wanted to remember the day in color, and Joy absolutely delivered on that (and quickly, too - the sneak peeks came back the next day!). She truly captured the magic of a fairytale day, and I am thankful to her and her team for their hard work. Neither of us have ever had professional photos or photoshoots before, and we were nervous about looking awkward. and running (especially running AT Disney parks!), I had such a great feeling about Joy before we even met with her! Once we did meet with Joy, picking her as our photographer was a no-brainer. My fiance and I just just felt an immediate comfort and trust with Joy. When it came time for our engagement pictures, we hit a bit of a snag with our location, and so less that 48 hours before the shoot, we were having to start conversations about relocating. She was so willing to work with us and our specific requests, like including our daughter into the pictures and finding a location that would make that feasible for that. As we were driving to the location we started getting thunderstorm warnings. We got to the forest preserve and Joy worked quickly and efficiently to make sure that we got all the gorgeous pictures that we could want. She guided us easily through poses, and encouraging us when we felt awkward (which helped to continue to put us at ease and feel more comfortable. Leading up to the day of the wedding, I had zero concerns about our timeline because Joy very explicitly timed things out for me. I knew exactly where everyone needed to be and when which eased so much of my anxiety. On the day of the wedding, Joy was a friendly and calming face. She was a stage manager organizing the entire bridal party as the boys and girls were getting ready in rooms that were literally right next door, but managed to keep us separated. She was a visionary, finding the perfect spots that made for the most beautiful photographs. She was able to also keep up the spirits and keep the attentions of an 8-year-old and two 1-year-olds throughout all of the family portraits! Joy was magic. I don't have enough amazing things to say about Joy; and I think the biggest compliment I could give would be to say that I absolutely cannot wait to work with her again in the future and we most definitely will be!

ouldn't be happier with the forest preserve Joy suggested for our location to shoot - it was perfect. When the pandemic hit and threw a wrench in our initial plans, Joy was extremely accommodating and we were able to reschedule both our bridal shower and wedding to fit our mutual schedules. For our shower, Joy captured all the candid moments from my husband styling the lingerie as we opened gifts to my mom giving a heartwarming speech. We were thrilled and couldn't wait for our wedding day because we knew the quality and commitment that Joy exhibits in her work. The big day was an absolute dream and no detail was missed. Joy, Nina and Aubrey kept us laughing even when our May wedding felt more like a July wedding. In between dabbing sweat from our faces and taking breaks to cool off, no one would even know from the amazing photos we received that we were sweating the whole time.
