BABC layout works perfectly for a wedding. the ceremony is square to the Pacific Ocean and the way the day was planned allowed for a dramatic sunset wedding ceremony. The cocktail hour is held inside and out in their lovely courtyard. The fireplace and strung lights set the tone for the kickoff to the party. Moving into the ballroom and utilizing their living room overlooking the pacific makes for one of the most beautiful settings one could ask for. What also adds to how special Bel Air Bay Club is the food. It is like taking your guests to a dinner at a restaurant. The selection is varied and whatever is chosen was excellent and served hot! The unsung heroes are the staff! They know what they are doing and make your event special from the personal assistants to the wait staff to the bartenders they are only interested in the success of your party. Cannot say enough about how special the BABC is and was!

On the day of the wedding, Ben was an uplifting presence and ensured everything ran smoothly despite the occurrence of some hiccups. He was always available to answer questions and handle any last-minute changes, allowing us to fully enjoy our day without any worries. Overall, the staff at Bel-Air Bay Club went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. With regards to the unusual situation that arose during our ceremony, BABC probably could not have handled it better. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their clients is evident in everything they do. We highly recommend Bel-Air Bay Club to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding service.

ue gorgeous...the service, the food, the drinks, everything is nothing short of amazing. First, the service - Ashley was so great to work with, she answered all of my crazy, nit picky, detail questions without batting an eye. She made me and my in laws feel comfortable with what we were getting and what we were paying for (which by the way the cost of everything is so worth it and reasonable!). Next - Ben!!! Ben, oh how everyone loved you! He was so attentive, and made the day run so smooth, literally nothing went wrong. During the wedding, he made sure everyone was taken care of and really went above and beyond. Food - the food here is top notch. I can't tell you how many guests we had comment on how amazing the food is. From the apps, to the entrees, to the desserts - people were asking for to go boxes by the end of the night that's how much they loved it! The one thing you always worry about when planning a wedding is food, I am here to tell you - you don't need to worry about that with Bel Air. Drinks - the drinks were goooooood! We had a few signature cocktails and all of our guests absolutely loved them! The wine was delicious, champagne was great, and all of the bartenders and servers were so lovely and gracious. The service here is really just 10/10. If you are thinking of booking with Bel Air...just do it. You won't regret it. This venue is beautiful cloudy, sunny, hot, cold - doesn't matter (coming from a bride who had a cloudy and windy day, I will tell you first hand that did NOT take away from Bel Air's beauty). Our guests were in awe of the space and kept commenting on how absolutely gorgeous it was. I wish I could get married again and again at Bel Air and am truly sad the experience is over.

g backdrop for the ceremony and such an awesome indoor reception space that acts more like a blank canvas allowing for a couples to really create a space that embodies their vision and personality, no matter your budget. For the couples that our budget conscious, the venue is all encompassing and does not require you add a ton of decor but for those who want to go over the top there is plenty of space to doll it up. We were somewhere in between as we did not want to spend a huge amount on venue decorations, which is why this venue was perfect for us. The staff at the venue from Jenny to Kira were super helpful in answering all of our questions from start to finish. They had great communication from the moment we filled out the inquiry form to the day of our wedding. They did have a few staff transitions but been with that, communication was great in the handoff process. The true MVP was my wedding concierge - she was AMAZING!! She made sure I was taken care of from wiping my tears to making sure I was eating throughout the entire night. She even took a few pics that was such a sweet treat to look at the end of our wedding night. The tasting was really good as well. It was great being able to try their popular selections for food and wine; many of the items we chose for our wedding day. The day of our wedding, the dinner did not wow us like how it did in the tasting but the guests could not stop raving about the flatbread and ceviche during the cocktail hour. We wished we had the flexibility to to confirm our rehearsal date/time sooner than 14 days as you can imagine our wedding party and parents had a ton of questions on where to be and by when as they planned out their own travel logistics. It was an inconvenience for members of wedding party who were flying in from out of town to book hotels and flights 14 days out. This impacted their ability to take advantage of our hotel room block and ultimately had the wedding party split up across various hotels in Santa Monica which did not allow for them to take advantage of some of the pre-wedding festivities the day of our wedding. Also, payment options are only limited to check payments. Given our experiences with guests not receiving our mailed save the dates and wedding invitations we were concerned about the checks getting lost in the mail. Luckily all payments were received on time but given the digital era it would have been more efficient to send these payments via wire transfer. General wedding advice, make sure you actually read the contracts in full for all of your vendors. We wouldn’t say there were surprises but you should fully understand what the Food and Beverage (F&B) minimum is. We interpreted it as a contract/venue minimum but we found out later it is purely a minimum that can only be reached through food and beverage purchases. It was a slight inconvenience as we were thinking about some of the upgrades (i.e chairs, chargers, dance floor etc.) could be included in reaching this minimum. Otherwise, this venue was amazing and so happy we did our due diligence in researching! BABC met our expectations and if we could do it again….we would pick this place 1,000 times over!! Also highly recommend the passed champagne for your guests upon entry to your ceremony, you won’t regret it!!!

Ashley fielded our many many questions with such patience and clarity, and always responded quickly. All information and deadlines were given in a clear and timely fashion. We also booked one of the hotel rooms on site and that department was equally as helpful and responsive. On the day of, our planners were so complimentary of all the staff, especially the GM. One of our planners said that he was always present and accommodating whenever they needed anything. We received so many compliments on the food, with many guests saying that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Overall, we had a great experience having our wedding at BABC and would highly recommend it!

vice! We worked with Ashley, and she made our experience joyous and easy from the very beginning! She was communicative and always willing to answer whatever questions we had. We were fortunate to work with her through the entire process and it was always a breeze. Btw - go to the menu tasting! The food was so good, and you see options for everything you'll need to decide on (linens, tableware, glassware, votives, etc)! In the last month leading up to the wedding day, we always remained in touch to confirm everything was accurate and good to move forward! Usually, we made these confirmations through email, but we did also have a couple of Zooms! When wedding day arrived, everything went smoothly and we had zero issues (disclaimer: we did have a coordinator who was helping with the flow). My bridesmaids, mom, MIL, and I got ready in their room downstairs and we had more than enough space (10 people in total, plus a 4 month old)! When we arrived, someone on the BABC team came to greet us, and asked if we needed anything and would periodically check in to ensure we were having the best experience (and we were)! We got married here in February which helped with the cost, but this venue can get pricey. I will say, you get tons of value for what you spend. I would just make sure to ask any questions you have so you know what to expect! I really could not recommend BABC (and their team) enough!! The team is so kind, attentive, warm, and truly a pleasure to work with. From bartenders, waitstaff, parking lot attendants, day of coordinator, site manager, etc., we are so grateful for how hard they all worked together to make the day and experience so wonderful for our guests and ourselves!

We couldn't have dreamed of a more special day, and everything from the food to the service was impeccable. The staff here is absolutely amazing and we would like to give a shoutout to Steve the Director of Banquets, Maria Elena our bridal assistant (a true gem who literally treated us like king and queen), Jacob the sweetest waiter who handled our VIP tables, our day of coordinators Maddie and Ben, and the valet team who worked hard all night in the storm and ensured our guests stayed dry in the rain. Our guests also couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food and drinks were, how smooth the day went, and the true elegance the Bel-Air Bay Club evokes. The food presentation was absolutely beautiful. Even though we had to move everything inside due to the weather, the wedding resulted in an absolutely magical space and we wouldn't have changed a thing! We are incredibly happy that we got married here and highly recommend it for your wedding venue. Thank you to everyone at BABC you are amazing!!!!

Ashley Hann was our special events coordinating manager who was phenomenal to work with - she was patient, professional, and had high attention to detail as we worked out all the details and plans for our special day. It was incredible to have such a beautiful estate-like/country club venue all to yourself for a day, which separates the Bel-Air Bay Club from hotel-like competitors. There was excellent staff there helping with every detail on our wedding day, making sure everything was executed as planned.

I specifically worked with Jenny and Ashley - who are just unbelievable!!! Jenny helped me source my planner and truly helped guide me on my event when I knew nothing. And, Ashley was our partner throughout the entire process ensuring every detail was perfect. The club is just full of pros, and not to mention the INCREDIBLE FOOD!!!! This place is just top notch!!!!

The bar never had a long line, servers were constantly clearing plates and organizing napkins, and the food was exceptional. One of my favorite things I was told from guests were that the waitstaff were going out of their way to even refresh guest's cocktails, which I've never seen done at a venue before. There is no way that I could not also talk about the beauty of the venue. The views are unlike anywhere else. It really is a fairytale, and I'd gladly host an event there again. Regarding the flatware and linens, I wish they had more/upgraded options so I didn’t have to spend money on an outside vendor for this. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Ashley was so extremely patient with us especially since we were hosting a tea ceremony in the morning and a wedding in afternoon. She was able to make it happen for us! She answered ALL of our endless emails and all our crazy questions thoroughly and quickly since the day we booked the venue which was about a little under 2 years ago. I would 100% recommend this venue to all our family and friends in the future. I would also like to thank Maria Elena for taking such great care of us and for helping us with all the details on the day of the wedding! She was one of the highlights that night! The food was delicious and there were so many options. They were also so accommodating to special requests and dietary restrictions. I will say the building is on the older side so just be aware of that. We lost electricity on one side of the room in the bridal getting ready room but they were able to fix that right away. There will be hiccups like that but they do get it fixed right away and are on top of it. They are strict about outside alcohol when you’re getting ready but you can bring your own food for breakfast and lunch which is amazing and a great way to save money. We also booked out all the rooms for our wedding which came in clutch for our family and getting ready! I would definitely recommend booking out the rooms if you can! It’s also such a gorgeous location with a beautiful view. There is so much included already in their wedding packages from dance floors to candles to chairs! There’s also so much outdoor space that guests can enjoy throughout the wedding which is so special. We toured so many wedding venues and this definitely was our favorite. We’re so happy to go with BABC. The staff were also so friendly throughout the whole day. I also did have an outside wedding planner who interacted with them the most. So I can’t speak about working with them without a wedding planner. But I definitely always recommend a wedding planner! She has said BABC is one of the easiest and best venues to work with. The absolute best part of BABC is their bridal attendant, Maria. She was so on top of it. From helping me bustle my dress to making sure I was fed to taking BTS photos. She also helped packed up the getting ready room. She definitely made our day. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us. Helped me changed dresses. Carried my lipstick with me. Packed things up. Made sure I was drinking water. Fanned me. She legit bandaged my toe after I stubbed it. She is the absolute best part of it. And after talking to our wedding planner, BABC is one of the only venues that has a bridal attendant! So def keep that in mind!

Planning a wedding is very stressful, but Liz was there every step of the way. She would give us advice and guidance and always looked out for us. She was always available when I had questions. Thanks to her, our special day was absolutely perfect. In the midst of world breaking SoCal rainfalls and storms, we are beyond thankful the sun decided to make an appearance that one day of the week and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful ocean views during our ceremony which is one of the main reasons we chose this venue. The views are breathtaking, the staff is very friendly, and the venue offered many things like a ceremony arch, wooden dance floor, wooden chairs, and other wedding reception items that were included in our overall pricing. We had researched and visited a number of venues until we found BABC and I knew this was the place I wanted to get married at the minute I saw the stunning views and met the staff. I would also like to thank Maria Elena, my bridal assistant for that day. She was just amazing and the absolute best! She really is BABC’s best hidden secret! She was like my fairy godmother the entire time - from the beginning till the end of our night. Anything I needed or my husband needed, she was always there to help. We are so grateful for BABC’s amazing staff and service and beautiful venue. Literally our wedding dreams come true.

ndemic. We thank BABC so much for being understanding and flexible with the rescheduling. After 3.5 years of waiting, we arrived on July 15, 2022 and had the most spectacular day of our lives. This was re-echoed by many of our guests saying the "best wedding" and/or "most beautiful venue" ever. The BABC staff was 110% supportive and on their A-game guiding us throughout the day. You can certainly save your money on a "day of" wedding planner, because the BABC Wedding Coordinator Ashley ran things so effectively during our rehearsal, pre-wedding, and during the wedding. They were also very very attentive to my wife Rose Mary in the bridal room, especially during our private moment, helping with her dress, any concerns, and checking in on our mental well-being with everything going on (LOL). Also, the staff from the bartenders, servers, chefs, cooks, the security guard, and front office people... just world-class service all around. We are forever thankful for the experience we had at BABC and we fully recommend them to the moon to have your wedding at their venue.

s jaw dropping panoramic ocean views, a beautiful cocktail hour patio, and a stunning indoor ballroom reception area, this venue has it all plus more. They are booked pretty much every day of the week (even week days) because you get so much value for the price! So, prepare to book about 1.5 years in advance if you want a Friday or Saturday wedding (or 3 years if you’re a COVID bride like I was). Their food and beverage minimum varies on which day your wedding is held, but includes not only the best food and appetizers I have ever had at any wedding or restaurant in LA, but also tables, linens, chargers, flatware, stemware, a chuppa, chairs, and aisle if requested. They also have a spacious bridal getting ready suite and groom getting ready suite. Our bridal party also booked their 9 hotel rooms the day before and night of the wedding which I would highly recommend. Although the venue is breathtaking, the true beauty of Bel Air Bay Club is their extraordinary staff. Everyone is amazing and extremely quick in email response time (which is a must for us stressed brides) but I have to give my immense gratitude specifically to Liz Phan. She was my primary correspondent in planning and she was so on top of everything. She constantly went above and beyond in helping me remain calm and answering my numerous questions. She frequently (and graciously) adjusted our Banquet Event Order multiple times because our guest count kept changing, even a week before the event, until I was completely satisfied! She zoom called me more than once after her work hours just to make sure I was completely happy. She cares about her brides so much and you can really tell! Seriously, Liz’s work ethic is beyond compare, and she is the person who truly made having our wedding at BABC the best day of my life!

On the day of the wedding, she gave me the best wedding gift which was the option to upgrade to gold chiavari chairs on the ceremony lawn, which was not allowed prior to that day. That made my ceremony even more spectacular. Thank you so much for everything Ashley! stressful ordeal the BABC stood by us and eventually we managed to get a date on the books! The BABC is a one of a kind venue. From day one...and I mean 2020, they were amazing to work with. You just can't beat the setting. Breathtaking ocean views, the ceremony on the lawn, a gorgeous reception room , beautiful living room also with the ocean views, beautiful patio for the cocktail hour. From the beginning it was very clear that they are a well oiled machine. I had looked at other venues and they did not come close to this. And although it is somewhat costly, it was actually more reasonable than one might think and I consider it a great value. When you take into consideration all that comes with it, you just can't beat it. The setting alone is stunning.The "getting ready rooms" are great. Various beautiful settings for gorgeous photos and first look. They also have rooms on site that have an ocean view and a small terrace. They are so convenient. One of the things that was important to us was to have a venue that was private. We didn't want to share our moment with the public. Our event coordinator Ashley Hann was amazing. Always quick to respond to our emails. She kept us on track and was so helpful in every way and was very patient with us. Absolutely lovely to work with. The food was great as was the wait staff. We had so many comments on the food...especially the short ribs!!! I can honestly say it was a perfect venue. So many of our guest commented that everyone working there were so nice, professional and helpful. For guest that were from out of town they were just blown away. Maria was our wedding attendant from the BABC. She is an angel. She helped my daughter in so many ways. Her dress, veil, went to the dressing room to get her dancing shoes, put her shoes on for her....hard to do yourself in a wedding gown and Made sure she was in good form for the photographer. She took a ton of wonderful photos and sent them to me. We had so many guest tell us it was worth the wait and it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I could go on and on, but to sum it up...while on the dance floor my daughter told me she was so happy. That it was perfect and exceeded her expectations. So after 3yrs of planning and replanning our daughter and now son in law had the wedding of their dreams. We could not be happier!

o many errors with things as simple as placing the lawn chairs in the right layout, following the dining room floor plan, and having the ceremony podium set up. You spend so much time working out the details with the coordinator that you would think this would be a no-brainer. Plus, a minor but annoying issue, we saw food that we paid for being taken to staff right in front of us while the event was still happening. WTF! Maybe they were short staffed or the on-site coordinator was overworked, but when you know a place like this has done so many weddings, you'd expect them to be a little more on point. We made the day memorable thanks to family and friends, but it would have been nice if Bel-Air Bay Club didn't add unnecessary stress.

On the day of the wedding, their staff was so polite and so helpful. All my guests complimented the service and how beautiful the venue itself was. 100% recommend this venue!

e upon, and thank goodness we did. Here are thoughts on the various aspects: Location/Venue: GORGEOUS! I don't think you could find a more perfect spot. We had our ceremony on the lawn, which is up off the PCH so our guests had a unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. Many, many photos were taken :) The venue itself is also beautiful, with plenty of private spots for first look and golden hour photo options. The patio, where we had cocktail hour, has an almost Spanish vibe with the stone work, fountain and strung lights. Such a pretty setting that was just elevated with our string quartet playing in the background. The living room provided more space for our guests to enjoy the ocean view and we were able to set up additional stations (escort cards, memorial table, guest book) throughout. And then the ballroom also has ocean views along the whole west facing wall, and is flexible for a range of wedding sizes. We had 120 and it felt spacious yet intimate at the same time. Many guests have commented that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to! Plus there are spacious get-ready rooms for both the bride and groom, so we didn't have to bother figuring all that out. Planning Process + Team: From the very first inquiry through the entire planning process, with the complexity of COVID and all, the BABC team is super professional, responsive, and always kind. We had a bunch of cancellations because of COVID during the weeks (and days!) before, and Esmeralda was so accommodating and understanding. We had a change of coordinators a few months before, and there was no issue at all during the transition. During the rehearsal and on the day of, Sophie and Ariana managed the whole wedding party throughout the key moments, and we had a bridal attendant, Maria Elena, who was so on point! She made sure we were hydrated, fed, and looking perfect through the whole night. Food & Beverage: We've heard from multiple guests that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding! We had some hearty appetizers during cocktail hour (sliders, truffle fries, lobster bisque, spanakopita), and then some popular options for dinner (short rib, halibut and a vegetarian pasta). Everything was so tasty! Since we got married on a Sunday, the wedding had to shut down by 10, so we didn't need late night snacks, but that would have been a fun way to end the night. In terms of beverage, we had 3 specialty cocktails and all 3 were SO GOOD - again, we still have guests telling us how good they were, that they tried all three and loved them all :) Rooms: the BABC has 9 guest rooms that you have the option of booking, which we did because we got married SuperBowl weekend and weren't able to get a hotel block (doh). It was so convenient to be on site, I can't reiterate that enough. The rooms all have an ocean facing balcony, and you can hear the waves crashing even with the doors closed - so lovely. Additional note: I did not have a wedding planner/coordinator, because 1) I'm pretty detail oriented and knew I could handle the planning process, and 2) Sophie & Ariana, the BABC day-of coordinators (along with my MOH) made sure the wedding details were all taken care of. I don't regret a thing! HIGHLY recommend the BABC!

lace. Esmeralda was our staff person for our son's wedding, and she organized an array of services and staffing for our event that ran like clockwork. During the planning phase, she answered every question promptly. worked with our son and his bride on details, and had a list of local vendors from which they could choose (florists, hair/makeup artists, photographer/videographer, etc.) who had worked at the venue before. The attention to detail, and the staff and team members’ care for the bridal party and guests were extraordinary. Everything from having refreshments in the bridesmaids' and groomsmen' dressing rooms to lint brushing of the men's suits were such thoughtful touches. I needed to change into sneakers partway through the event, and staff ran to make sure the dressing room was open so I could make the shoe switch. The set up for the ceremony was seamless, the cocktail and food service was perfect. It was worth every penny our families spent to have such a professionally run venue and such great staff. Highly recommend this venue.

They will not fill the role of a full wedding planner (hiring external vendors, creating color schemes, event design, etc), but you just let them guide you to create a timeline, layout, and menu, hand them your list of vendor contact information, and they will handle all vendors and coordination on the day-of. Our wonderful Special Events Coordinators Gabriella and Esmeralda fully handled and recorded every weird request we had and helped guide us through the process up until the day-of, and the onsite coordinator Sophie + her assistant worked with us and our external vendors on the day-of. Jenny guided us through their pricing structure, and there were no hidden fees whatsoever, everything was upfront. They provide extensive documentation to clarify what they do and don't do, any options you'd like to add on, and they are also very responsive to any questions. They were extremely flexible, even when we had last-minute requests due to Covid (changing the whole layout, seating arrangements, even switched out a guest who cancelled with another guest who asked last minute if she could come). Everything went off without a hitch, we were totally relaxed without a worry on our special day and the staff handled everything. They even provided a wonderful bridal attendant Maria who helped so much, carrying my veil and train so they didn't get messed up for photos, bringing me drinks, and taking tons and tons of photos throughout the day which was a wonderful supplement to what our photographers were able to capture. She's an absolute gem. The venue is so beautiful that (in my opinion) it does not need much decoration if you would like to be budget conscious in that regard. Just something on the ceremony arch and some centerpieces are all that's necessary. The wait staff were extremely efficient and made sure everyone got their meals in a timely manner. All the food was delicious, nothing was disappointing. It was served at the perfect temperature, it was all very flavorful, and none of the steak or fish was overcooked (very impressive, I've never been to a large event where everything was cooked perfectly). We chose to serve raw oysters during appetizers and they were extremely fresh and delicious. The cocktails were perfect as well. My now-husband and I are pretty critical of how food is cooked usually and it fully exceeded our expectations in a delightful way. Guests made so many comments on how amazing the food and drinks were, how insanely beautiful the view & venue were, how "you guys really know how to throw a party". Our families were simply blown away, they'd never been to a wedding where the family could just sit and relax, especially with that kind of view. It was truly the best wedding we'd ever been to. We are realists; we weren't necessarily looking to create a "dream wedding;" we just wanted to put together an event that we ourselves would remember and enjoy attending as guests; but an absolute 100% DREAM WEDDING is what we experienced with the guidance and support from the wonderful staff.
