Bel-Air Bay Club

My wife & I got married at Bel Air Bay Club 2 weeks ago and it was nothing short of incredible. It’s on the pricier side, but worth every penny. We got so many compliments from guests on our wedding, with lots saying it was one of the best weddings (if not the best) that they’d ever been to. Beyond how gorgeous the venue itself is, surrounded with palm trees and with a lovely view of the pacific ocean, the staff are really what make it a top-notch experience. The BABC staff was so on top of it, knew our timeline well, and were ready to go at every moment. Want to call out a few specific people that we worked with at the venue who were above and beyond: Our first point of contact when looking into the venue was Liz Phan. She responded to our initial inquiry about the venue, and also gave my wife & I a tour of the venue when we came in to visit. She was always so thorough in responding to all of my questions and SO upbeat/happy the entire time. She also was very helpful in allowing us to place holds on some of our desired dates, while we were still making up our mind and always very transparent about whether or not there were others expressing interest in our dates. She also provided some personalized quotes for us on what our overall event price would look like based on our guest count and some initial food options that we were thinking of. Our main coordinator that helped us plan all the details of our wedding in the months leading up to it was Alissa Barrera who was AMAZING. I had lots of questions and specific requests (ice cream bar during the ceremony, having guests come back onto the lawn for the sunset, coordinating a surprise speech from a bridesmaid who couldn’t attend for my wife on the BABC TV) and she was always so accommodating and gracious in her responses. Having now dealt with many vendors for the past ~6-12 months and seeing the entire spectrum of communication styles, Alissa was by far the best to communicate with. She always responded inline to every single one of my questions I emailed and never missed anything. I never had to repeat myself, and everything we discussed was promptly updated and reflected in our BEO, floorplans, etc. I really can’t say enough positive things about Alissa - she was truly incredible and working with her made the wedding planning process so much more enjoyable. My only regret is that I didn’t get a chance to see and thank her in person on the morning of our wedding. The last person that I want to shout out is the bridal attendant, Marielena, who was also so incredible. She really attended to my wife’s every need, brought out a plate full of hors d’eurves and drinks to us at cocktail hour, more drinks at the reception, and even gave us a bag of desserts/late night snacks for us to take home at the end of the night. It was so much more than that though - when my mom had a wardrobe malfunction she literally sewed her into her dress, and she even helped my wife use the bathroom in her extremely heavy lehenga skirt. She even ran into the shuttle at the end of the night to give my wife her phone, which she had forgotten! Overall, our experience with the venue and its staff was sublime. It’s expensive for a reason, but worth every penny if it’s within your means. My wife had some reservations about the venue going into the event, but after it was done was so thankful/relieved and told me that she was so glad that I convinced her to choose BABC as our wedding venue. Our dream wedding!

When we were looking for a venue, we had two criteria in mind: a beautiful location for the ceremony and large space to throw the greatest party of our lives. Bel-Air Bay Club hit all the marks, with the ceremony right on the lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the reception hall catering our wedding party and turning into the night court to fit our starry night theme, we couldn't have imaginged a better venue to host our wedding. Not only was the venue beautiful, it also came with the best food catering that we have had the pleasure of enjoying at a wedding. The team at BABC was able to make our wedding a banquet with buffet-style stations that had our guest saying the quality was top notch. They were able to accomodate mutiple different cuisine from traditional American to Asian-fusion to vegatarian options for our wide variety of guests. The team at BABC was very accommodating and wonderful to work with and the staff were very helpful throughout the wedding event. Anytime we or our planner had a question, they worked with us to achieve the best possible outcome. It truly felt that we were on the same team. The day of, their staff ran the wedding seamlessly and and made sure everyone was taken care of in terms of food, beverage, and desserts. We truly felt like royalty! Thank you to the BABC team for providing such a lovely venue and making our special night one to remember! We definitely recommend this venue to any couples looking to find the right combination of beauty and fun all in one package.
