Working with Nick at Bella Ballroom Dance Studio for our first dance lessons was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very first lesson, he took the time to get to know us as a couple: our personalities, our comfort levels, and even the little inside jokes that ended up finding their way into the choreography. He was patient, encouraging, and clearly knew exactly how to design a routine that felt authentic to us rather than some generic wedding dance we'd seen a hundred times before.
What could've been a stressful part of wedding planning turned into one of our favorite pre-wedding memories. We looked forward to our lessons every week, and Nick always kept the mood light and fun, even when we were fumbling through a new step for the first time. He broke everything down in a way that made it easy to follow, and he was great about adjusting the choreography as we went so it always felt manageable instead of overwhelming.

Hector and I have zero experience when it comes to dancing, but even from our first meeting, Thomas made us feel so comfortable, and made everything so fun! He broke things down in a way that felt manageable for us as beginners, but also challenged us to keep growing, and was always so encouraging and supportive! Nick was also a great teacher, and had so many fun jokes! They both worked with us to choreograph a First Dance that felt right for my Husband and I, and we absolutely LOVED the way it turned out. We even got to spend a few of our sessions working a little on some moves for my Father-Daughter dance, and even learned a little Salsa just for fun!
Thomas also did a great job of getting us in the right mindset for our First Dance. I tend to be more shy, and hate performing in front of people, but by the day of our Wedding, I felt ready and confident to do our First Dance in front of all our guests, and everyone loved it!! Our guests were really surprised by some of the cool leans, dips, and the lift in the middle of our song!
Hector and I have no regrets – we are SO happy we decided to do dance lessons at Bella Ballroom, and I cannot recommend them enough! They are all so friendly, professional, and encouraging, and our results were absolutely top notch! And honestly, it was just so fun to dance every week amidst all the stress of wedding planning… I’d recommend dance lessons for that reason alone! Seriously, make an appointment with Bella Ballroom and start dancing the way to your wedding!!!

She is kind, hilarious, unbelievably talented, and incredibly patient. Every lesson was something we looked forward to because she made learning fun instead of stressful. She also somehow survived all of our random ideas and shenanigans without ever missing a beat.
Our favorite moment? About a minute into the dance everyone started clapping because they thought we were done... nope! We still had two more lifts left! The reactions were unforgettable.

nestly felt pretty uncomfortable and intimidated. But Nick completely changed that from day one. He made us feel at ease, broke everything down in a way that was approachable, and created such a fun, supportive environment.
He choreographed a dance that felt so us—natural, charming, and not overly complicated, but still impressive and memorable. It never felt forced or overly “performative,” which was really important to us.
By the end of the process, not only did we feel confident on the dance floor, but we actually enjoyed it. Now, we’ll randomly look at each other and say, “hey, want to do our dance?”—which says everything about how much fun we had learning it.
Nick also helped us prepare for our first dances with our parents at the wedding, even though our parents were not able to attend the dance lessons themselves. We learned enough to guide them with a quick rehearsal and we could tell it took them from being uncertain to genuinely looking forward to sharing a first dance with us.
The first dances were something we almost opted out of, and turned out to being one of our favorite memories from our wedding!
If you’re even slightly nervous about your first dance, Bella Ballroom (and especially Nick) is the best decision you can make. We couldn’t recommend them more!

She was incredibly patient, creative, and encouraging throughout the entire process. When we decided to change our song midway through our lessons, she was flexible and adjusted the choreography to match our new song. She also enthusiastically supported our decision to add a salsa section to the end of our routine, which made our first dance as a married couple even more fun and memorable.
Mallory built beautiful pauses and highlights that were perfect for photos. Our photographers were given a chance to capture amazing shots that we absolutely love and we received so many compliments from our guests about how polished and fun our first dance looked.
The lessons were truly worth it. Not only did we feel confident and fully prepared for our first dance, but the lessons themselves became a fun date night for us during the busy wedding planning season. We’re so grateful for Mallory’s support and would highly recommend her to any couple wanting to feel comfortable, prepared, and excited for their first dance.
Lastly, the studio was clean, everyone working there was friendly, and it was easy to book lessons. We definitely recommend.

She helped choreograph and teach our wedding dance only a week prior to our wedding. We weren’t looking for anything crazy, just wanted to get pointers, but she ended up making a dance routine that we will never forget. Simple but elegant moves that really had the crowd cheering like a dancing with the stars finale. We are even getting family members requesting a repeat performance at family events now! Lol! e for our wedding, the idea of dancing in front of over 80 guests made us pretty uncomfortable. But then we met Mallory, our dance instructor, and everything changed.
From the very first lesson, Mallory was so sweet and made us feel completely at ease. Over the course of five lessons, she created a beautiful three-minute dance routine from scratch, tailoring each move to our comfort level. She was incredibly flexible and open to feedback, happily adjusting anything that felt awkward or uncomfortable for us.
By our last lesson, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye! Even though our wedding was still more than four weeks away and we were open to more refresher lessons, Mallory made sure we were fully prepared, writing down all the details and going over everything as if it were our final session.
When the big day came, we nailed our dance perfectly, and we have Mallory to thank for that! Her knowledge, instruction, and contagious positivity made all the difference. Any couple would be lucky to learn from her!

One of the highlights was when Mallory taught us how to do a perfect dip and kiss at the end of the aisle after the ceremony. It added such a special touch to our day, and our guests absolutely loved it!
The progress we made in a short amount of time was incredible, and we owe it all to Mallory’s guidance. On our wedding day, our first dance was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guests were amazed, and we received so many compliments on our performance.
