ntion of everyone in the store, there was usually either no other customers or maybe one other bride in the store at a time so I could have full attention and voice my opinion. Alterations did everything I asked and then made other suggestions for what we could do. Loved this experience.

er was my grandmother. The whole experience felt like they were trying to scam me instead of help me find a dress. I left with a lowered self-worth, as did my mom. I bought a sample dress and regretted it because the salesperson assured me I could resell it if I couldn’t make the alterations I wanted. Plus, the dress was visibly damaged. The lights were kept low in the shop, which I suspect was purposeful.
I had such a lovely experience at Beckers in comparison, and their selection was much larger. They focused on finding a dress I loved rather than a quick sale, and I never felt pressured. Try there instead, it’s so worth the drive.

patient while I tried on dresses (big decisions are hard for me), and the one I picked was beautiful, but I had some requests for alterations to change the look of it slightly. All of my requests for alterations were accommodated without any trouble, and the dress was almost perfect in the end. I say "almost" because when it was bustled, it still dragged on the floor a little, and I ended up stepping on it quite a bit while I was dancing. I felt rushed to accept the alterations when I went for my fittings, so maybe if I had taken more time, I would have noticed the trouble with the length. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, though, so I would definitely recommend this shop.

verall the staff was friendly and welcoming, however, there were a few encounters where they felt pushy to get sales. The only thing I was disappointed in was the cost of alterations. I would recommend doing your research & getting alterations done elsewhere! They start at $850 minimum, and I barely had my dress taken in. have time to look at the tags or check what designer it was. She stayed in the dressing room the whole time with me, which I don’t mind, but I thought it was a little weird. It’s obvious they don’t want you to find out who makes the dress/what style it is because they want you to buy from them. I don’t blame them, they just want to get your business. They also bribe you with 15% off your first visit with them. So if you want to shop around, definitely save this place for one of your last shop stops! I told them my budget was 2000-2500 for my dress and I ended up with a beautiful Essence of Australia dress for $2435. So they kept it in my range, but I do feel like I could’ve got it for a lower price somewhere else. Also, do NOT get your dress altered by them. They charge a minimum of $850 for alterations and when I asked how much it would’ve been for my alterations, they told me that it could go up much higher than that... so there is no set budget when you go in there for that. When I went in to pick up my dress/make the final payment, I told them I wanted to look into other options and told me I didn’t have enough time, got an attitude and rushed me out after I had paid. After looking at the reviews for their alterations, I’m VERY glad I didn’t go through them. The reviews are very poor and I found a wonderful place that did an amazing job called Bella Alterations in Livonia and only paid $350 for everything! Angela and her team are very talented and she even added a bustle in for me at the last minute. DO YOUR RESEARCH LADIES & NEVER SETTLE!
