We were so AMAZED at the renovation of Bella Dawn! Signing on and trusting the process was nerve wracking, but Wendy and everyone at the venue SMASHED IT! Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect from the ceremony to the reception. Wendy, was so friendly and helpful she really put our minds at ease and made sure the day went smoothly… and even the two days leading up to the event. Can’t recommend this venue and staff enough!

Bella Dawn Events is a gorgeous, historic wedding and event venue in Garrettsville, Ohio. Dating back to the 1820s, it is one of the oldest buildings in the county and has stood the test of time, serving as a chapel, store, school gym, and bakery throughout its rich history.
Complete with its original stained-glass windows and renovated wood beams and paneling, Bella Dawn offers classic rustic elegance with modern luxury. Inside, you can find an elegant open floor plan with a balcony, overlook, and abundant natural lighting. This magical location includes indoor and outdoor spaces on over 5 acres of wood and grassland. The property also features an on-site bridal cottage housed in a beautifully restored 1875 colonial home — a beautifully appointed private space for the bride, bridesmaids, and mothers to enjoy throughout the day, complete with a charming meeting area, kitchenette, and modern glam room. The venue comfortably accommodates up to 175 guests.
Founded in 2022 by Laurel Hermann and her daughter Wendy Christopher, Bella Dawn Events is a proud women-owned, mother-daughter operated business serving Northeast Ohio including Portage, Trumbull, Summit, Geauga, Stark, and Lake Counties.
The friendly team at Bella Dawn will work hand in hand with you throughout the planning process — helping select vendors, handling all setup and cleanup, and staying on-site for large weddings until the last guest departs. A lifelong resident of Northeast, Ohio, Wendy has a background in business and finance. Always interested in the wedding industry, she has her certification in floral design from Hixson's School.
She is a proud mother of three kids. Wendy and her Mother, Laurie Hermann, founded Bella Dawn Events in 2022.
