Bella Luz Imagery is a down-to-earth husband and wife duo working out of Ghent, NY. The pair operates on a 6-month rotation in the United States and Costa Rica. They strive to capture those life-defining moments in ways that accurately represent each couple. With an honest love for one another and weddings, these experts give everything they’ve got on your biggest day.
The business is owned and operated by Madison and Alvaro Baltodano, the latter being native to the company’s sole original location, Costa Rica. After four years in the tropical paradise, they decided to share their time with Madison’s home in New York City. Chasing the prime summer seasons, the duo felt it was the best decision for themselves and their company. The two are both talented individuals in their ways. By using a refined photojournalistic approach to their photography, they aim to capture the moments as they happen without any interference. Pictures appear honest and authentic, reflecting genuine emotion in a uniquely creative way.
The pair’s friendly nature will bring endless amounts of smiles and laughter to each photoshoot. They offer several options from engagements to portraits, daf-after, and trash-the-dress sessions. Alvaro and Madison are also capable of providing cinematography services, saving couples the hassle of having to hire an extra videographer as well. Once the big occasion has concluded, the newlyweds have the option of acquiring printed photographs, wedding albums, and digital copies of their special images.

(If you’re debating getting the video package- I can’t encourage it enough! It’s the most incredible way to relive your day!! We diy-ed most of our decor, so her incredible detail shots meant a lot to us and will be a great addition to our album. She also captured so many of our guests in the moment of the celebration. You're so busy at your own wedding, so you miss so much of what your guests experience. We are excited to give out some of her guest shots to friends for Christmas! And, of course, the rest of her photographs were spot on too. I loved her professionalism, creativity and attention to detail. My mom had passed away a year before the wedding, so we had a bouquet on her seat and a sign for her. Madi captured the most beautiful shots of my dad during the ceremony with his arm around her seat. She also made sure to take a close up shot of the ribbon on my bouquet that I'd upcycled from my mom's wedding bouquet. Overall, Madi went above and beyond.
