Update: We recently received our "documentary film" and we were blown away with how wonderful the editing was of the pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception. Phil captured the ceremony from multiple angles and it's hard to believe he was the only videographer! We have loved watching and re-watching footage of the toasts and reception dancing (over 30 minutes of fun, high quality video of dancing). We enthusiastically recommend Phil!

From the very beginning, Phil conducted himself with the most outstanding service and professionalism and he made me feel comfortable right away. He made the whole process so easy from initially booking to a month before the wedding asking for a timeline for the day of, then calling a few days before to see if we had any questions. We got our highlight video about 10 days after the wedding and we’re blown away how he could capture so much love, happiness and fun in 4 and a half minutes. he wedding was easy and comfortable- Phil knows how wedding days tend to run and he makes sure that his team is prepared for the schedule of your day. Then on the day of the wedding, they were so fun to work with! During the ceremony and reception, we honestly lost track of where they were because they are so subtle and non-invasive. When we were looking through the pictures they captured of our day, we were surprised to see some of the shots they got because we had no recollection of them being in the positions that they were obviously in to snap those shots! During the pre-ceremony and post-ceremony picture taking, the team was enjoyable to work with and so knowledgeable about their craft. They were constantly re-positioning with the moving light of the sun, talking with each other about what to change in their shots, and offering suggestions to us for positions and combinations while posing. When we got the finished product of our photos and video, we were blown away! We like Bella Star's style of natural editing. Our pictures from them are timeless and not trendy. They capture what was happening on that day- they don't look fake or over-edited. The video is such a fun way to relive the day, and we are so glad we had Bella Star do both photo and video. Lastly, Bella Star was a great choice for our budget. Weddings get expensive very quickly, and we found that Bella Star was the most reasonably priced combination photo/video on the market! Most first time brides can relate that it is somewhat intimidating calling the vendors . . or it was for me anyways . . . because I had no idea what questions to ask. When I called Phil to ask about Bella Star he basically led the conversation with everything I needed to know! I had my wedding at the Courthouse in Washington DC which is where my (now) husband and I live and we had our reception in Buffalo, NY which is where we went to grad school and all our friends and family are. Phil flew down to Washington DC and spent the entire day (for no extra cost) with us shooting our wedding day and we had so much fun - not only is he good at what he does, he is really fun to be around and truly gets to know his bride and helps her stay calm (Yes, you need that!). He then covered our wedding reception in Buffalo that weekend and was there on time doing what he does best. Our 16 minute feature film that he put together (literally 5 days after the wedding) was AMAZING and I haven't stopped getting compliments on it. I watch it all the time because it is truly hard for me to remember how fast the day went - I cannot thank Phil enough for capturing every important moment with such perfection... My feature film looks like it was shot in Bollywood (I'm from India and that is a HUGGGGEEE compliment) - all of us look like professional actors when in reality we didn't even know that Phil had cameras pointed at us...
