Bellagala Photo + Video

writing this review is because our photographer completely cancelled all services on us just days before our scheduled engagement photo shoot, after having hair/make up appointments scheduled, etc. There was minimal communication from the photographer and from Bellagala and it was overall an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. The only positive thing that came from it was that we ended up booking a photographer through an outside company and loved everything about her and her work!

eir time getting the best of the best shots. It was an honor to have such wonderful vendors at our wedding. They knew exactly what they were doing, and took great care of us! I cannot wait to see their hard work and everything they captured. Would recommend to any and everyone looking to get married in or around Philadelphia!!

xposure/editing was poor. These photos are especially dissappointing for our ceremony, where instead of having the bride and groom in focus, someone in the audience is in focus. I mean I love my family and friends, but I wanted photos of myself and my husband in focus on our wedding day. Half of the posed shots we cannot print, because they have been edited in a way that washes out all the details and features on our faces. My face goes from looking like a ghost in one picture to looking like I spent months tanning in the next. These photos they were very variable were all taken in the same location within minutes of each other. I'd avoid this photographer if possible.

ey're very quick to respond to emails! However, I was never contacted by either my photographer or my videographer without me prompting them - less than a month ahead of time. Their system is tiered, so if your budget is lower, they offer you the least experienced photographers, etc. That being said, when they tell you that the photographer you've chosen is moving away and you then find your dream photographer outside of their company, they will NOT give you any kind of refund, they'll just offer you a photographer from the next highest tier at no extra charge. The photographer I ended up working with was great, we got along really well, she was excited about all the ideas I had and seemed to honestly enjoy that we were just a chill group of girls getting dressed up and kept it pretty low stress. I was so excited to get my photos back, I felt so confident that they would be perfect! Some of them were, a lot weren't. There were an abundance of pictures of me with my bridesmaids posing with mimosas, but she didn't take a single photo of me with my mom - my only parent - on my wedding day. There was one intentional photo of the priest who said the wedding. She cut the feet off group photos. Her framing was off, and almost every posed photo from after the ceremony is crooked, which I'll have to fix. There are a bunch of posed photos where people are completely hidden - including pictures of the bridal party! The videographer was very intense, but seemed to know what he was doing - I hope! I didn't work with him as closely, and I haven't gotten the video back yet, so I can't comment on that as much. Overall, if I could turn back time, I would NOT have hired this company - it's the only thing I would have changed about my wedding day.

Elizabeth definitely has an eye for this and was able to focus the shot anywhere any time. She was also just fun to talk to and work with. The calls I had with her before the big day were always fun and she made sure all the details were done before I even had to ask about them. 100% would recommend choosing her! As for the rest of the company they are really responsive and fast. Any issues with logistical stuff was taken care of quickly and even the final pictures were fast! You get an email saying 6-8 weeks since it is peak season but we got them back a little under 4 weeks later with really popping colors and great finishing. Definitely recommend!

and reception are excellent. I am super happy with my wedding photos! She is accommodating, super friendly, professional and full of great ideas. My husband and I were clueless when it came to pose ideas, but Elizabeth directed us and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She put us as ease and made our love show in the photographs. The quality of this photographer came at an affordable price. I highly recommend Elizabeth.

Our personalities clicked right away and she quickly became my 6th bridesmaid on my wedding day as she was attentive to detail. She was kind, thoughtful, and most of all funny. She made a stressful day enjoyable. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was patient with our family photos. I would highly recommend Bellgala and Sarah as they truly made my wedding memorable. I am looking forward to seeing what memories she captured of our special day.

/smoking instead of getting the requested candids. The photos she chose for our set were lazy and blurry. Now, 9 weeks after my wedding, I’m waiting to hear from someone about my photos. The initial set I was given had about 300 photos, with the remaining 400 that we paid for being repeats. Photos of my bridesmaids in the middle of eating while getting ready or blinking. Tons of photos of the food and my mother zipping up my dress, and only 5 of my guests dancing/candids. When confronting the business about this I’ve only received rude remarks such as, “you never specified you wanted photos of your guests”... what?!? Absolutely ridiculous, would not suggest, completely disappointed in the photos when I should be elated with wonderful memories.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing pictures she captured throughout the day. She took us hiking around the venue property (outdoor barn wedding) and found some beautiful locations and took a lot of extremely creative pictures. We plan on using Kirsten for any future event photographer needs that we have and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

We ended with plenty of time to spare before the ceremony started. Meg is very sweet and has a laid back personality, which made it easy to relax during photos and enjoy my wedding day. I was surprised by the number of candid shots she was able to grab that day, which made looking through all of the pictures really fun! I would definitely recommend her for iPod wedding day.

n more thorough. I would also suggest to spend the money to get a second photographer because I feel like we missed out on pictures we wanted because our photographer was overwhelmed. He stated the company did not pay for face to face meetings so we had to discuss my vision via phone/text and I don't think that sufficient . We got the essentials but some pics were ruined due to his inattentiveness. For example, we attempted to take a picture of the bride and flower girls' manicures and when I got the finished pic the flower girl's hand are cut off. Also there are no pics of groomsmen without these big cardboard boxes behind them, a true professional would pay attention to everything including the background.

I was so busy and distracted, I didn't think to point her out. Debra insisted that we hire a second photographer to get more photos, but they never left each other's side. We only had the reception- not the wedding, and when guests were arriving, I had to get the photographers to come out to the main area to take pictures, because I felt like that was a great opportunity to take them. They were “looking at the schedule”. There was no schedule- it was entirely the reception- and this is something they should have had memorized beforehand. At times during the evening I noticed them looking back through photos- that was not the time to have been doing that. They had plenty of time to do that after the event. I like a lot of the photos, but I wish I could go back and choose someone else to capture that night. I’m sad that there were none of my cousin because we are very close, and that’s why I listed her on the short list of people I wanted in a photo. I feel like a lot of good photo opportunities were missed, and it caused unnecessary stress that evening.

we had to choose another photographer. Though panicked and worried it was actually a blessing. We got Andrew P. who was just amazing to work with on our wedding day. Our pictures were delivered in the indicated time frame and there so many precious moments caught that we can't decide what to print. It was nice to have Photo & Video from Bellagala b/c our video guy Travis worked well with Andrew to coordinate we had all moments covered. Our DJ was assigned the week before the wedding date. We got to work with Theo who did a great job following our music choices and making it great party.

n it comes to getting our pictures taken. She gave great direction and I have no doubt the pictures will be lovely. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because a lot of the transactions take place via the website, and I kept having technical issues. I was told several times that whatever I did on the website "probably" worked, which made me nervous. But other than that, things went smoothly and I'd recommend them.

e angle, out if focus and the ones that weren't the colors were wrong. When I contacted them to fix it they oversaturated and made a mess. When I contacted again they said they would send me the raw photo so I could have someone else do the work correctly and I never got them. So one year later I have no wedding photos no memory of my special day and I am so sorry that I ever picked this company they are awful!

little longer free of charge. However when it came to the editing of our photos it was pretty terrible. At bellagala the photographers are the ones who edit their own photos. They have a whole post production team who does this for the photographer. So this team is in no way attached to your photos because they didn’t take them. When I say editing I don’t mean making our faces look better or thinning us out or whatever in that composite. I mean cropping random signs out of the photos or adjusting the shadowed lighting on faces. We tried to work with the post productions team. We emailed back and forth any times asking for adjustments but they stopped communicating with us. So we cropped the photos that needed it and we learned how to edit lighting ourselves so some of the photos we liked would look better. Kind of sad that they have good photographers and not a great team behind them.

turned out magnificent. Great lighting. Great story he captured with each shot - brought instant memories of what we were doing or what our guests were thinking.
