I was referred to Jackie and Bellawood Photography by a family member, and from the moment I met her, I knew I'd found the right photographer. I could tell it was a top priority fo...r her to 'get' the concept of what we wanted, and despite the fact that I couldn't find the words to explain it, she was able to understand it and did it brilliantly. While never anything less than professional and knowledgeable about her job, Jackie is also flexible, is always open to ideas no matter how vague, and has a wonderful sense of humour. I'm a notoriously unphotogenic person, but Jackie made me look as good as I felt and got every single shot I wanted, along with hundreds that I love but wouldn't have thought of on my own. She makes helpful suggestions rather than barking orders and even gave us some fun ideas for the less-traditional shots. Looking at my photos, I've never seen another album I like as much. Jackie even used one of the bouquet photos as the printed image on the DVD the photos came on (she knew the bouquets in particular were full of meaning for me, as the vivid blue hydrangeas were for my late grandmother), and gave us the DVD in a gift bag. Talk about a nice touch! I really felt like it was a gift, and in a very real way, it was.
