My husband and I are from Texas, however, we decided that we wanted to get married in Washington state so that my extended family would be able to attend our big day. As a result of work, school, and other obligations, we were too busy to fl...y up to Washington to scout locations for our August 2011 wedding. We saw the Belle site online and how beautiful the pictures of the venue were and decided to call for information. After a very informative discussion with Larry (one of the owners), we found out that there were only 2 dates left in our time frame. We needed to act fast. After a lot of research (reading reviews and talking to other vendors), we decided that Belle would be perfect for our wedding/reception to be held. The first time we actually saw the venue in it's full glory was the day before our wedding, and I cannot begin to express how beautiful it is. Anyone you talk to will say that those pictures do not do the venue justice. From the flowers, apple trees, and the gorgeous Victorian-style house, to the picture-perfect areas (the boat on the pond, the old-fashioned truck, and the Secret Garden), it was as though this venue was built specific to all of my wants/needs. To top it off, the owners are far more than that. They were both incredibly involved on the wedding day with the setup, take-down, pouring the champagne (which they provided), and much more. Larry is an excellent groundskeeper and the venue was almost surreal how clean and crisp looking it was. Pam was so incredbily helpful. She has a background in alterations, cakes, and pretty much anything having to do with a wedding, so anytime an issue came up she was able to find a solution. A perfect example is my troublesome bustle. My dress was very detailed and had a lot of lace on it, so it was difficult for my bridesmaids to find where the loops were. Pam noticed that they were having difficulty and she got right down on her knees and started working with them to get me "bustled up". The fact that they were so involved and they took care of everything allowed me to focus on the fact that I was getting married and not to stress out about the details. Probably my favorite spot on their property is their "photo booth", which is an area for you and guests to take some fun pictures behind some photo frames. There are a lot of props to use (boas, hats, mustaches, lips, glasses, etc.) and it was a huge hit at our reception. All of the guests loved it and it made for some really fun pictures. Also, there are so many picturesque locations on their property that your guests enjoy taking some of their own romantic pictures and it has been so much fun seeing all of their profile pictures change on Facebook to show our wedding venue. At the end of the night, Pam and Larry helped pack our stuff up in the car (so we wouldn't have to deal with it) and Pam had even saved us a plate of food and cake (in case we had been too busy to eat!). I cannot express enough how fantastic our experience was with Belle Victorian Gardens. If you have the opportunity to have your event there, I wouldn't pass it up. My wedding/reception was so stress-free, and Pam and Larry were a large part of that. Thank you so much Belle!
