Offering dance lessons to couples tying the knot in Lake Norman-Charlotte area of NC, Bell’s Ballroom helps ensure the perfect first dance on your wedding day!
My promise to couples is that dance lessons will be FUN and relaxed, providing excellent date opportunities amidst all the stress of wedding planning. Whether the goal is to have a simple, intimate dance just upgraded from the "stand & sway" or you want an extravagant performance to impress your guests, I'd be honored to play a role in such a special part of your big day.
While the first dance is often the main focus, I also work with any family or wedding party members who need to prepare: father/daughter, mother/son, wedding party group routines, reception intros, line dances, & general reception dancing for anyone who wants to feel more comfortable on the dance floor!
The location I teach out of is Dynamic Ballroom in Cornelius, NC. The studio offers additional resources like group classes & practice parties that can help supplement lessons and add to the relaxed/fun aspect of the experience, and we can schedule lessons around those events if desired! Couples can learn much faster in person as it's easier to demonstrate the lead & follow aspect of partner dancing - however, for couples that are a bit too far away or have very limited availability, I am happy to offer virtual lessons via zoom (contact for alternate pricing).

Vanessa was an absolute dream to work with when coordinating and choreographing our first dance for our upcoming wedding. Vanessa catered to our desire for our wedding day & crafted a beautiful first dance that left every wedding guest in awe!! Vanessa was extremely patient with our lack of coordination and nonexistent dance skills. She made each lesson so fun that we looked forward to it as a “date night” each week leading up to the wedding! We’ve enjoyed it so much we’re considering booking more lessons to keep the dancing date night tradition going!!! We would highly recommend Vanessa to any couple looking to add some flare to their wedding day or to those needing to restore joy to the stressful wedding planning season!!

We had a wonderful experience with Vanessa! My fiancé and I both brought our parents to a lesson to learn a basic box step and tips and tricks for our wedding. Vanessa led us through group instruction and we all learned very quickly. She also helped us learn spins and dips for different moments throughout the wedding! We loved our time with Vanessa and walked away feeling much more prepared!

We absolutely LOVED our experience with Vanessa! It was the perfect weekly date leading up to our wedding. We started with ZERO experience dancing and Vanessa got us to a point where we felt so comfortable for our first dance. She is fabulous at taking things slow and explaining them for a beginner. 20/10 would recommend!!!

Vanessa was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I are very different skip levels of dance and she was able to teach both of us very well. She also helped to choreograph our wedding dance. We highly recommend!

My husband and I worked with Vanessa to choreograph our first dance for our wedding. Vanessa was AMAZING and worked with us to create a dance that fit our skill level (none), our intention (fun and romantic), and our timeline for learning (5 lessons). Our dance turned out to be everything we wanted and more. And Vanessa helped us perfect our dip! We loved working with Vanessa and she has inspired us to continue taking classes and learning more dances together. We originally came in thinking we just need a few steps so we don’t step on each others toes and we now feel so confident and dance together every night to practice! She makes it easy even if you don’t have any experience at all.
