Vanessa was an absolutely AMAZING teacher! Our first dance was a hit and everyone loved it! Our classes ended up being a fun date night every other week or so leading up to our wedding. I would definitely recommend taking classes with Vanessa! She made our first dance so much more than we would have been able to do on our own and she taught us how to dip which is a definite must to learn before the wedding day!! lol thank you so so much!!
We had such a wonderful experience working with Vanessa for our wedding first dance! We came in as complete beginners with basically no dance experience, and she made us feel so comfortable and confident from the very first lesson.
She choreographed a beautiful dance for us that felt natural and achievable, and she was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. She explained and demonstrated everything so clearly and was always encouraging, even when we needed to repeat steps multiple times. We were amazed at how quickly we were able to learn thanks to her teaching style!
Not only is she talented, but she also made the lessons genuinely fun and something we looked forward to! We’re so excited to perform our dance at our wedding and couldn’t recommend her more highly to any couple looking for first dance lessons!

Offering dance lessons to couples tying the knot in Lake Norman-Charlotte area of NC, Bell’s Ballroom helps ensure the perfect first dance on your wedding day!
My promise to couples is that dance lessons will be FUN and relaxed, providing excellent date opportunities amidst all the stress of wedding planning. Whether the goal is to have a simple, intimate dance just upgraded from the "stand & sway" or you want an extravagant performance to impress your guests, I'd be honored to play a role in such a special part of your big day.
While the first dance is often the main focus, I also work with any family or wedding party members who need to prepare: father/daughter, mother/son, wedding party group routines, reception intros, line dances, & general reception dancing for anyone who wants to feel more comfortable on the dance floor!
The location I teach out of is Dynamic Ballroom in Cornelius, NC. The studio offers additional resources like group classes & practice parties that can help supplement lessons and add to the relaxed/fun aspect of the experience, and we can schedule lessons around those events if desired! Couples can learn much faster in person as it's easier to demonstrate the lead & follow aspect of partner dancing - however, for couples that are a bit too far away or have very limited availability, I am happy to offer virtual lessons via zoom (contact for alternate pricing).
