BeLoved Ceremony helped make our day perfect!

Susan provided an absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony for us. She spent time in the weeks prior to the ceremony getting to know us and what we wanted in our ceremony. She crafted a ceremony that was beautiful and very "us". We loved her suggestion to do a love letter box and expect it will be a cherished part of our marriage. Susan walked us through everything so that we could focus on what was important- being present as we committed to each other in marriage. We were planning our entire ceremony from several hours away, and it was a blessing to know that everything was in Susan's capable hands. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a special, love filled ceremony.

Susan was wonderful to work with. We reached out as a recommendation from our wedding planner local to the Asheville area. We held a couple planning calls following our initial introduction where we were able to refine the ceremony elements to best fit our relationship and the celebration of our marriage. Susan took the time to ask questions about us and our preferences before diving into the "typical" ceremony content she has ready to use and brought it to life with what she learned about us. We ultimately used a lot of her "typical" content with some customization that really suited us. Our guests gave us tremendous feedback about the delivery of the ceremony and shared that it really "captured the essence" of our relationship and the celebration. We would highly recommend.

Susan was incredibly patient with us in the planning of our ceremony. She had wonderful ideas to make it really special and unique, and made it abundantly clear that it was our ceremony and we could do what we wanted, but she helped guide us to make sure we had thoughtful moments throughout which made it so very special for everyone there (the ideas that we did go with- the love letter box, the wine exchange and tokens for each other's parents were so great, and we never would have thought of those on our own. We didn't want anything cheesy and these weren't- they were awesome, and the ceremony was a perfect 25 or so minutes). She was very responsive to phone calls and emails leading up to the day, and she had no issues at all with minor changes or additions to the ceremony right up to go-time. You can truly be as hands-on or as hands-off as you like, and Susan will nail it for you. We have received so many compliments from guests saying that Susan was wonderful, and that our ceremony was unlike any they'd seen. She even handled the mailing of the marriage license for us so we didn't have to worry about that before leaving for our honeymoon (you only have ten days!). I would absolutely recommend Susan if you want a ceremony that is incredibly special. She is assertive, confident and so cool, and I can't imagine that day without her.

Susan was an amazing officiant on our wedding day. We eloped from out of state, she called me right away to plan the ceremony and had very good ideas to incorporate. Logan and I loved working with Susan! We wanted a spiritual but not religious ceremony and she was able to take our desires and put them into a beautiful heartfelt ceremony that reflected our love and beliefs perfectly. She wants the ceremony to be exactly what you want and will even let you make changes to it the day of your wedding if you want. Her voice is very calm and soothing and she is a poet with her words. My husband's parents have passed away and she made a special effort to honor them during the ceremony and it meant so much to us! Susan was the best officiant that we could ask for. She makes the ceremony completely unique to each couple and takes in a lot of input prior to writing everything. She scheduled multiple calls with us way in advance before the ceremony and was very helpful while we were planning our ceremony as well. You could tell that she was prepared and loved what she does. We were blown away with how experienced Susan was during our initial over-the-phone conversation. Her ceremony was personal, just the right amount of spiritual, and blew our guests away. We had so many kind words from guests about how they’d never heard such a unique and couple-centered ceremony which meant the world to us. My husband and I had received Susan's name as a potential officiant for our wedding from a friend and we decided to give her a call. During our phone conversation, it quickly became obvious that it had to be her. Chris and I were both in tears by the end of the conversation, we were so happy (I'm not sure if she even knew that, but we were). She gave us many options for the format, the language involved, and even had a wonderful idea that Chris and I made a part of our wedding with what she calls "the love letter box". We wrote a letter to each other, sealed them, and during the ceremony, placed them in a beautiful wooden box we purchased. On our first anniversary, we will ......well, just ask her....she'll tell you. She's simply amazing. Thank you again, Susan, for making our day so special and beautiful.

Susan was a marvelous officiator for our wedding. She was readily available to discuss whatever was needed for the wedding, be it a change or to answer any questions. She had many options to choose from for a ceremony so that you could make it truly your own for your wedding. Finding the perfect person to officiate your wedding can be a daunting task. However, Susan shined above and beyond anyone else. Her calm demeanor and soothing tone, made everything feel as though it would be just perfect, and it surely was. Our search for a wedding officiant in Asheville, NC began online. Many local officiants have unusually low fees, but are unwilling to meet you in person prior to your wedding day, which was not an option for us. When Susan met us, we didn't know what to expect, but she laid out her entire plan for the ceremony, asking questions along the way to customize it to our liking. We wrote our own vows which she was happy to have us recite along with her, and we decided to do a love letter box and wine exchange. Being able to personalize our ceremony and use wording that was not religious, but would leave room for interpretation, really meant a lot to us. I had looked through many officiants' pages on Wedding Wire and was immediately drawn to the way Susan expressed herself. It was evident she had a wealth of experience and a deep passion for what she does. (Some officiants are part time, but this is Susan's full-time calling!) Our guests were very moved by what she had to say, and remarked that she held their attention throughout the ceremony. Aaron and I were brought to tears by her eloquence, and couldn't be happier that we chose Susan for our ceremony!

Susan at beloved ceremonies was amazing and made sure our day was as intimate and special as possible. She did a great job of making sure that we both had the readings that represented ourselves and the love we share. She had everyone at the wedding crying! We loved her.

Susan made our special day so memorable with her warm, thoughtful and professional nature; helping us to feel very much at ease in her presence. Susan was the perfect fit for our wedding. During our first phone call with her, both of us were unprepared for the emotion we'd feel just from a ceremony run through! We were running late and took the call in our car and were both crying when we hung up. She made it clear that there would be no surprises or off script moments and her confidence in performing the ceremony put us both at ease. We walked through words we wanted and didn't want and added an 'in memoriam' moment for my husband's late father which made all 22 of our guests sob with emotion. She was flexible and amenable to changes even to the minutes before our ceremony and was willing to try something new. We wanted a ring warming ceremony which she had never done but embraced it completely. I am so grateful she did because it was such a beautiful part of our wedding. Immediately after, we had so many compliments on how personal, heartfelt, and intimate the ceremony was and it was ALL Susan. In fact, it felt so personalized that guests asked if we had written the entire thing ourselves (again, all Susan). Even my 79 year old grandfather (who always has his own opinions about everything) said it was the best ceremony he had ever been to. Susan has touched so many hearts and will continue to do so but we are so glad she was there for our day especially.

Susan was confident, organized, and efficient from start to finish. She was prompt on responding to all communications throughout the entire process. In the beginning, she painted a very vivid picture of how the ceremony would go. Once we booked her, she supplied us with an electronic copy of the ceremony trialogue, and allowed us to tailor it into our own. She offered to be at the rehearsal but said it wouldn't be necessary, and I agree with her. When the day came, she showed up and completed all needed pre-ceremony tasks with time to spare, and lead the ceremony without a hitch except the hitching of us;-).

We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding than Susan Marlan and BeLoved Ceremony. From our first chat over the phone all the way up until the day of, she was with us every step of the way. She worked with us to craft a ceremony that was unique to us as a couple, incorporating traditions from our backgrounds with modern touches.
