Lizbeth was incredibly unprofessional from start to finish. Starting when I initially reached out on the Knot, there were several occasions in which I had to send multiple messages... just to get a reply from her, which was frustrating as a potential client trying to pay for a service.
Upon booking and sending the down payment, I did not receive any confirmation of receipt or follow-up from her whatsoever. I emailed her directly to let her know that I sent the deposit and to ask what she needed from me, and once again I never received a response.
6 weeks later, I still had not had any further correspondence from Lizbeth despite it being less than 3 months from my wedding day and myself having given her almost $400 for the deposit. I reached out to her once again to inquire about booking my trial, of which it, once again, took me multiple attempts to get any response from her.
When I was finally able to get a reply from her, she sent me a calendar link to book my trial and I did it directly. Not long after, I got a text message from Lizbeth saying that she needed to move my trial appointment because she had a client scheduled 30 minutes before (?) and wanted to make sure she had enough time for me. I explained to her that that’s fine, but that I would be traveling over an hour and also needed to rearrange childcare for my toddler, so I really needed to make this appointment based off of her true availability. She “cancelled” the other client and kept my initial booking time.
On the morning of the trial, she texted me that she was running about 10 minutes late. This is understandable and was no problem for me so I told her I’d hangout in the car and to just text me when to come inside. I sat outside and did not hear back again from her until almost 40 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start.
Leading up to the wedding, I could not get ahold of her once again. My texts went unanswered despite multiple attempts at a time to get a reply. I asked for an itemized breakdown of what the bridesmaids would owe her (which I never got) and despite asking several times, I did not receive a schedule or timeline from her until the night before my rehearsal dinner.
On the morning of my wedding day, I received a text 10 minutes after she was already supposed to be there that she was 20 minutes away, so 30 minutes late in total. Her hair stylist was 15 minutes late to setup.
When it was time for my bridal makeup to be done, I brought a couple of products to her and said I usually use these when I put makeup on. She told me that she already had everything she needed and then did not do one single step of prep, primer, moisturizer, nor did she ask if I had anything on already. At one point a bridesmaid gave me a sip of a protein shake while I was in the chair and it got on my lip. Lizbeth got angry and snapped at me in front of everyone for messing her up.
My makeup looked fine when she was done but completely melted off by the time I got to the venue shortly after. My entire time in the bridal suite was spent by my bridesmaids trying to reapply and fix my makeup before as best as they could before I had to down the aisle.
Getting our wedding photos back made me cry. I am not skilled at glam so I was really excited to feel pretty and special, but instead I look messy and nothing at all like I pictured. I am so disappointed and upset that I was let down by such an expensive vendor throughout my entire wedding planning experience.
