Jennifer was the photographer for my secluded wedding in Bat Cave. She was an absolute joy to work with and was prompt with her emails. From the minute she arrived to the minute she left, she was such a calm presence amidst a typically chaotic day. I did not give her much direction, which led her to be creative and capture what she thought was beautiful and boy did she not disappoint! She captured all of the small moments that I would have missed out as the bride and we are so thankful she was there for our special day!

They really stood out to me compared to all of the other wedding photographers who's styles were dark and moody. Her photography style is truly timeless & I've received numerous compliments on them! Jennifer Callahan is the best photographer we could have ever picked for our wedding, she went above and beyond! From the very beginning Jennifer was extremely organized and provided us with a list of questions of what we wanted captured at our wedding. She even made a timeline with a map of all the events for our special day and met with us before the wedding to go over all the details and pick our favorite spots around the venue. Every single picture she took looks amazing and you can tell how much time she put in every single detail! She brought a second photographer with her to capture the groomsmen getting ready, and Angie did a wonderful job with the guys! We could not have been happier with them capturing our special day!

Jennifer took photographs for our July wedding at the NC Arboretum and welcome dinner at a family member's farm and she knocked it out of the park, going above and beyond to prepare and make sure we got all the photos we wanted (and our families wanted)! She was extremely professional, and we relied on her for her experience working with different vendors in Asheville, since we were planning from afar. We did a lot of research on wedding photographers, and I am so glad we chose Jennifer and that she had our date available because her photos are ones we will treasure for a lifetime. Jennifer Callahan is an incredible person and photographer. As a graphic designer, photography was one of the most important things to me in selecting vendors for our wedding and I reviewed lots of portfolios in the area. Jennifer stood out to me because even over the phone (I was planning from Colorado) she had a down-to-earth, easy-going personality and I felt comfortable talking to her. Meeting in person for our engagement photos was even better! She guided us through different poses, while keeping us feeling completely natural and even making us forget the camera was there. When we had to unexpectedly move the wedding up 6 months due to a family member's health, she was amazingly helpful. My husband and I teared up over the phone to find out she was available for our new date! We were struggling to find a caterer for the new last-minute date and Jennifer went above and beyond to reach out to her contacts in the area and connect us with someone. She helped guide us through every step of the process, including a schedule for the day to make sure we got all the shots we wanted. I love her natural photo-journalist style and our photos really reflect all of the moments, large and small, that occurred throughout the whole day. Even later in the evening, every time I would turn to take a photo with someone, she would be right there, finger on the shutter, ready to take the shot. I really can't stress enough how much I love the photos. You see so many photographers with wedding albums with over-edited, contrived, and forced shots and Jennifer's work is the complete opposite. The photos are natural, elegant, and very high quality. Everything from the posed portraits, to the little in-between moments, to the reception was captured perfectly. They are absolutely gorgeous!

We could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding and rehearsal - Jennifer was truly amazing! We originally booked Jennifer for a May 2020 date, but had to change the wedding date due to a family illness and were SO RELIEVED when Jennifer could do our back-up date as well. We live in Colorado and our wedding was back east, and Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure that we could do a quick engagement shoot on one of our brief visits back east. It was rainy and we didn't have a ton of time, yet the engagement pictures looked AMAZING - we couldn't believe it! Of course, the photos for the actual wedding and rehearsal dinner were amazing as well. She really captured the atmosphere and environment of the wedding very well in her shots. My favorite thing about working with Jennifer, even more than her great photography skills, was how relaxing she was to be around and how I generally felt that she added to my wedding experience. She had a calming personality that you really need on such a big day. She was EVERYWHERE during the wedding, but never actually felt like it. My wife and I came away from our experience with Jennifer thinking "wow, the photos are great...but we really want to be friends with her after all of this is over!" Would recommend Jennifer whole-heartedly!

Jennifer was so sweet and provided us with hundreds of fun and beautiful wedding day photos! She really knew how to use light perfectly to get amazing shots. We did an engagement session with her as well and got some really great shots, while getting comfortable being on camera for so long. I will cherish our photos forever!!

Jennifer was our wedding day photographer in at a winery in Asheville, NC. She was so wonderful to work with prior to and on our wedding day. She was so organized and moved from one pose to the next quickly which was nice so we could really enjoy the reception. She captured everything little thing about our day and we couldn't be happier with the result.

I contacted Jennifer Callahan after reviewing her lovely images online. She had been recommended, along with three other photographers, by the venue that had been selected for my sons February, 2017 wedding. Having several accomplished photographers in our family who would be very active for the candid style shots, Jennifer was hired for the formal bridal, family, wedding party, ceremony photography. She was very accommodating and seemed to quickly discern the types of formal shots we were looking for , emailing a list to confirm family groupings, special relatives to pose with the bride and groom etc. The day of the wedding was lovely and the background of a mountain lake sparkling under a blue sky created excitement regarding the lovely family bridal photography we would have to choose from for the album. Unfortunately, after nearly three months after the wedding, and countless requests for the images, we were informed by Jennifer that all the formal family, wedding party photographs she had taken after the ceremony had somehow “DISAPPEARED”! She still provided the contracted for number of photos which included 100 of the cake and perhaps half as many of the table with the unity candle. I am only slightly exaggerating. No photography remained of the bride and groom with the grandparents, aunts and uncles, siblings, cousins or mothers/fathers of the bride and groom. The very biggest part of the photography we had contracted for and posed for, somehow lost forever.! No back up. No real explanation. No refund. No apology. No attempt to offer options. No concern for how upset the bride and I were. And when a financial request for some type of refund was made, I received a letter from her lawyer. Because she had uploaded the promised number of photographs, because you can never have too many shots of the place settings or the bridal veil being blown by the lake breeze. The few portrait photos of the couple are beautiful. The lack of family portraits is heartbreaking.

Jennifer did our wedding photos (and rehearsal dinner photos) this April. We could not be happier. She was extremely helpful even in the lead-up to the wedding, helping us plan the best timeline for her and our second photographer to make sure everything we wanted to be captured was. She was extremely professional, which I really appreciated on such a special occasion. We both have big families and she expertly coordinate what seemed like endless group photos!! We got tons of great pictures that are a joy to look at and really captured our wedding day the way we wanted it to be captured!!

Jennifer was a wonderful photographer and put everyone at ease before and during our wedding! She was also incredibly helpful in the stressful weeks leading up to our wedding (which we planned in 7 weeks from another country, venue site unseen). She offered recommendations on makeup, hair, venues, and all with a calm demeanor that was exactly what was needed :) We're now happily choosing which photos to frame for our wall - a tough decision with so many good ones!

I found Jennifer from a list recommended by my wedding venue. I had several ideas for my bridal portraits and she went above and beyond to help capture those ideas. On the day of the wedding she arrived early and made everyone feel comfortable while taking portraits. She is very easy going and has a creative eye for beautiful photos.
