For decorations, we didn’t have to add much since the place was so beautiful but they also offer options from their own storage. We got so many compliments on our special day and most were about the venue. I definitely recommend you consider Bel-wood for your wedding day!

enue does not have a backup plan so you should be prepared to do it yourself. They will attempt to take credit for planning and bribe you with token payments in order to appease you.

30 minutes before we were to start the ceremony. Narnia and the Bel-Wood staff made everyone perfect in the ballroom. We were able to share our vision and my saved pinterest inspiration pictures and hand everything over to them and they made it even better. The service and staff were amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests about how impressed they were with the space and the staff. Bel-Wood offers a space that is special and beautiful for your wedding day.

It was an absolutely perfect day. Everything was beautiful, and we had the best night. We couldn’t have done it without the help from Narnia. She helped with every last detail. She had also made huge improvements to the ball room with new carpeting, and repainting the walls Being able to have our ceremony on the grounds in front of the waterfall was a dream. We can’t say better things about our wedding or the experience we received from Narnia. Highly recommended!

had was the inconsistency of the event coordinator. When we booked our reception, there wasn't an event coordinator but the manager at the time gave us a tour. The next time we came in April for our taste testing, the manager was gone but now there was a new event coordinator. She was wonderful and we enjoyed working with her. Fast forward to October, there was once again a new coordinator that we loved. She helped us with every little detail and made our night wonderful.

The venue is beautiful. There are so many beautiful places to take pictures and they let you take a golf cart to go far out on the course. The room was perfect for our 170 guests. They provide almost everything which made it cheaper and easy to clean up afterwards. They provide great things for centerpieces. The outdoors is great to have during cocktail hour! I would be just very clear on what you want with them with the food. Even with a few bumps in the road - we would highly recommend Bel- Wood to anyone!!

She worked seamlessly with our florist, wedding bakery, photographer and DJ. We have had multiple compliments from family and friends on the delicious food - thanks to Chef Tom. We feel a great time was had by all and are so thankful that we chose Bel-Wood.

n having a hard time finding a venue that offered everything we wanted, but we were fortunate enough to stumble across Bel-Wood after months of searching. All it took was one visit to their grounds to fall in love with the setting: it’s not too far away from the city that it’s hard to get to, but it’s far enough that you feel like it’s a well-kept secret. The landscaping is lovely, and the clubhouse itself is so picturesque, all tucked away in the woods. As an added bonus, the packages Bel-Wood offers are more affordable and inclusive than those at other places we’d checked out. The ballroom was the perfect size for our wedding—we had 200 guests—and the staff did an amazing job helping our big day go smoothly. Another big plus was the food: everything that we served was delicious, and we received many compliments from our guests. As impressed as I was with Bel-Wood itself, though, I believe it’s worth noting that none of this would have been as wonderful, or even possible, without Sadie, the event coordinator. After the previous coordinator abruptly left in early April, I was very nervous to start working with someone new just a month and a half before the wedding. However, Sadie put my mind at ease from the very beginning. Not only did she make sure that she was up to speed on everything that we had already decided upon, but she also went out of her way to assist us with planning the rehearsal, setup times, and day-of schedule. My husband and I had worked in many special details to make it “our” wedding, and Sadie embraced this and helped us to make those ideas a reality. I truly can’t thank her enough for all of her efforts; I can honestly say that I don’t think my wedding would have been the special, memorable day that it was if it wasn’t for her. If you want to work with someone who will make your big day as worry-free as possible at a venue that will help you create beautiful memories for years to come, I would strongly encourage you to consider the Bel-Wood Country Club.

beautifully landscaped with a deck that has a perfect view of lake, trees and golf course. The amenities and service were all top notch from the food (which is by far the best from any wedding venue I've been to) to the small details like having employees shuttle guests from the parking lot to the reception hall. The food was our favorite part of planning as we had multiple tastings at Bel-Wood where the chef talked directly to us. It has a good feeling like a family run business, the owner of the whole country club actually sat down with us at one of our meetings. I cannot say enough about how impressed we were with Sadie as well. Our original coordinator left a few weeks prior to our wedding and Sadie came in, and to say the wedding didn't miss a step is an understatement. She was responsive and it was a pleasure to work with her and seemed like she had been at Bel-Wood for decades with how well prepared she was. I would recommend this venue over any other reception hall in the Cincinnati/Dayton metros. I promise you will be told that your reception is absolutely beautiful and that you will not be disappointed.

Toni the even coordinator was fantastic, she contacted the DJ and baker we had and arranged times for them to set up. Which as a bride one less thing to worry about is very nice. The food and bar was great, we were even able to switch out some of the beers we weren't so keen on for things that suited our taste! We had a great experience at Bel-Wood. It is a little pricier, but you are definitely paying a fair price for great service, food and fun.

Toni understood both what our daughter wanted and what we parents could manage, then she worked hard to make the whole day perfect for all of us. There was not one detail that was missed! Every time I thought of the next item on the agenda, it was already completed. Our guests raved about the ambiance, the dance floor, the view, the sound, the bar and the food! The set-up was as planned and the lounges for the bridal party were comfortable and lovely. The lounges had drinks for the bridal party as promised, too, and the golf cart was ready and waiting for bride and groom photos among the stunning trees. The venue was set up and available to us days in advance, and clean up could not have been easier. Bel-wood did everything right! We served 158 people an Octoberfest menu, with appetizers and an extra cocktail hour, full premium bar, with full service buffet and clean up for under $12,000! That included 6 full hours with ceremony time, all room fees and service fees, as well as three prior hours for photos on the grounds and getting ready on site. Toni was able to quickly provide a menu to choose entrees from for our guests and the smaller room we had was absolutely perfect. She was even there at the last minute for me to drop off some flowers for our table setting. They had navy blue napkins which matched our colors and theme of the wedding. The food was AMAZING. You won't find better tasting food for a better price. The waiting staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful as well. We had miscounted a few kids and they quickly set up table placements for them with a smile on their face. Bel-Wood also offers some beautiful scenery for photos. They say when one door closes another one opens. Bel-Wood answered the call and helped take our special day above and beyond anything we could have imagined.

The quality of what you get for what you pay is unreal and my husband and I were so impressed. We originally had our wedding scheduled for October but had to unexpectedly push it up. Toni was able to accommodate us for June without any issues. Toni and the rest of the Bel-Wood staff made the whole process stress-free for us! They took care of everything. We had about 180 guests and received so many compliments on the food (SOOOOO GOOOOD!!) and how beautiful the venue was. The presentation was so classy and I am still surprised how affordable the food and bar package were for what we received. I could not be happier. Toni is AWESOME! She is not only so easy going but is SO nice and will make you feel comfortable. She cares about what you want and will do whatever she can to ensure you are happy. I loved our day and am so happy we chose Bel-Wood.

The event planner was wonderful to work with and made helpful suggestions. The locker rooms are nicely decorated and a great place to dress a bride. I think the overall value is excellent. From the location (away from town but not too far to be comfortable) to the atmosphere (VERY family-oriented and friendly) to the staff (NEVER saw even one of the employees with a frown or scowl) you'd be very hard pressed to find something better. When we first sought out a venue, the Bel-Wood was in the middle of some renewal efforts. These have paid off with huge dividends-the place is the PERFECT spot if you like a variety of trees, gorgeous sunsets, peacefulness, a place that can accommodate both indoor and outdoor functions and food that is beyond compare (even a week after our ceremony, people are telling us of how wonderful the food was); it's a place that just "feels good." The main ballroom is large enough to seat a considerable amount of people (we had approximately 135 people and it was apparent there was still room for more). Layout and accessibility for those requiring additional assistance or accommodations is terrific-it's very apparent much thought has gone into making this a place that is above reproach when it comes to fulfilling the needs of a facility for large groups of people (i.e. weddings, banquets, etc.) or just visiting the restaurant for a meal and enjoying the scenery. One final note: Toni Toepfert, the Even Coordinator, is BY FAR the most thorough, thoughtful, respectful and complete planner, hostess and supporter any bride & groom-to-be could ever have hoped for! She learned her craft from the "bottom up" and has a true knack for what people want. She also knows how to put the couple at ease-from answering a battery of questions, to calming fears and finding ways to get the most for the customer-while continuing to represent both herself and the Bel-Wood in a professional manner. We consider her not only a consummate professional, but a personal friend! Thanks, Toni-you made our day THE BEST EVER!! :)

the beauty of the golf course and surrounding area, the spacious and elegant ballroom, and the convenient dressing rooms, location and price were no longer the only draws. Throw in a day at the salt water pool and a round of golf, and we couldn't resist! We worked with Nidhi through Elements, and she was FANTASTIC! We wanted an outdoor ceremony and were able to personalize our ceremony on the deck. Our outdoor ceremony and ballroom reception matched our vision of the perfect wedding day. The table and chair linens along with their simple centerpieces were elegant, the food was great, the dance floor was fantastic, and our photos were beautiful, thanks in part to Michael Bambino and his staff. We then recommended Bel-Wood to my daughter this year, and although the staff has changed, they were very good, and her wedding was just as beautiful!

Like the previous reviewer, we also had some trouble with our coordinators changing and not getting notified, but it didn't cause any problems with our wedding overall. We had a few unique ideas for our wedding and reception and the staff there made all the adjustments neccessary to accomodate us! The food is also AMAZING!! We had quite a few of our guests comment on how good it was. All in all the staff at the Bel-wood really made our dream wedding come to life and were extremely accomodating! We would recommend them to any future bride and groom!

event coordinator stopped contacting me and stopped responding to emails and phone calls. I was not a needy bride, I did pretty much everything on my own, but a month away from the wedding and I was not able to get in contact with the event coordinator and that was not a good feeling. Apparently, she was no longer there and it took Bel-Wood over a month to contact me and let me know what was going on. I had to drive two hours out of my way AGAIN to go through what the previous coordinator and I had discussed for the day of the wedding. This was not her fault and she was very helpful throughout and did her best to honor everything that had been previously discussed. I was very determined to have the ceremony outside for the reasons I had shared earlier, and because it was suppose to rain, I was told that I needed to make a decision on the weather by Saturday, and our wedding was Sunday. When we had signed our contract in January we were told that we could have a Plan B if it rained that day, in the sense of we could make that decision on the day of. We eventually were able to decide on Sunday but with a fight, and happily it did not rain! :) Then things that we had asked for such as dimming the lights seemed to be a huge deal for some reason and the bar issue. We had paid for a premium package of $21 per person, so our guests could drink and have fun and enjoy themselves, it was for the guests. We were told that Absolute and Dewer's were Bel-Woods premium liquors. It was a huge disappointment because this is obviously not what the previous coordinator and I had discussed. I do not think anyone would consider Absolute vodka a premium liquor. After my husband had addressed this with the new coordinator she argued about the issue then went a retrieved a bottle of Grey Goose, well obviously Bel-Wood does have premium liquor after all! It defeated the point because like I had mentioned it was for the guests, not for my husband and me. I do think that with the new coordinator things will go smoother in the future for brides, but how bel-Wood handled the lack of contact, and the false information that the previous Bel-wood employee had told us, it made for a hectic time that was unnecessary. Also, for sodas and beers that were delivered to the dressing rooms while we were getting dressed, instead of settling that issue up with my husband and me or our parents the night of, I received 3 emails while I was on my honeymoon still dealing with bel-wood. It was not a good experience....and I think that there is hope in the future once the new coordinator gets her head wrapped around everything. All in all it was our wedding, so it was a good day regardless!

The new Bel-Wood staff was abolutely wonderful too. The food was deliscious and they even adapted to a few changes I gave them that day. I would totally recommend Bel-Wood to any Cincinnati Bride.

She's very energetic and willing to do anything to please you and make your vision happen. She coordinated the entire wedding and did a wonderful job! The only slight downside, in my opinion, is that the food wasn't anything too special.
