Northmoor Studios / Ben Barnes Photography

id back and easy to work with that it was so much fun working with him for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. He comes to your rehearsal and is all day coverage which was awesome-- and as a lone shooter he didn't miss a beat! (He has 2nd shooter options if needed). He told him many times he didn't have to stay until the end, but he insisted & it was certainly worth it. Our pictures make me tear up every time I see them. If your looking for a genuine local guy with high quality equipment & quick turn around (we got ours back within a month) sign on Ben now!!! Ben thank you so much for all of your work; you've gained some lifetime customers :)

the beauty shop through the end of the reception. I have so many photos from our special day, and every single one of them is stunning. He is professional, communicates quickly, and is very organized. He is one detail of my wedding that went off without a hitch. You won't find better!

go with Ben for own big day. The communication leading up to the wedding was great, and he was fantastic the day of. He was there the entire day - from the moment we all started getting ready until the last song played. My husband and I joked after the fact that he was like a ninja - we never really noticed him at the wedding and reception, yet he was able to capture so many special moments. The photos are the perfect mix of both artistic and candid shots, exactly what we wanted. If you are reading this in the midst of wedding planning and trying to figure out who will capture your big day, I highly recommend that you go with Ben Barnes. You will be so happy with the outcome!

outside after a fresh snow fall. Not only was he willing to take our pictures with a few days notice, but he was also at the park early, scoping out good places to shoot (in 20 degree weather!). Our pictures are breathtaking! For our wedding, he came to our rehearsal to get acquainted with the venue and the flow of the day. I have never seen a photographer do that before, but it was amazing and so appreciated. All throughout our wedding, he was so amazing to work with. I can't stop looking at all of our hundreds of stunning pictures. He is so talented and captures such beautiful shots. Thank you so much Ben!!!

all of our expectations. Not only did he have great ideas throughout the day for photo opportunities, but he was there the ENTIRE wedding day from the time we started getting ready until the after party was kicked off. He captured so many moments that my husband and I will cherish forever, and for that, we are very grateful! We are still receiving compliments and enjoy looking through our collection of photos to relive the day!

nt session, he had a lot of great ideas and captured some great shots. For our wedding, he was with us the entire day. He was incredibly easy to work with, we hardly knew he was there and the photos we were given showed just how hard he worked all day. For the price and quality of photos, he truly is a steal!

ob at making you feel really comfortable, which I found very important. During the wedding, I barely noticed he was there, yet he captured so many wonderful moments. The photos are BEAUTIFUL and the turnaround time was so quick! I have received so many compliments on the quality of the his photos and I can't believe how good he made us look! I have a very expressive face so I worried that I would look ridiculous in a lot of them but he made me look great :) He had a great price for the whole package. He really is the best, and I couldn't recommend him more!!!

ur wedding are photos and memories, those photos last a lifetime, and we plan to show these photos to our kids and grand-kids with pleasure. Just hope they will appreciate them as much as we do =)

lping you forget he is there, which leads to a natural look- nothing forced, nothing too "posey". I absolutely loved all of our engagement photos- it was hard to choose what to use for the Save the Date! Our wedding photos could not be more perfect. They are creative, natural, artistic, classic, and most importantly, capture the mood of the day. I have looked through my online album several times in the last couple of days, and keep reliving the most amazing wedding over and over through Ben's photos. Just perfect...

un, personable and taleneted photographer. I would recommend Ben to anyone for any event or occasion. Thank you Ben for perfectly capturing the most amazing pictures of our big day! It was such a pleasure working with you!-Ashley

ing said, my biggest concern was where we were going to take pictures. I didn't want to stay in the church as some of those pictures can be a bit sterile. I also tried to reserve the state house ahead of time, but unfortunately there was another wedding the same day. Ben had a great idea to go to the main Columbus Metropolitan Library. It was beautiful and offered unique picture opportunities. (And it was free!) He did a great job of organizing the groups and managing my husband's lack of love for taking photos. He blended in with the group and at the reception. He also stayed the entire time and was sure to say bye followed with "this was a really fun wedding." (I think if your photographer says that, you've succeeded!) He captured some really great dance shots during the party. I would HIGHLY recommend him. The best part is you get pretty much the same package and quality as the other photographers in the area...but for a reasonable price. Go for it!! He rocks!

met with a handful of photographers, keeping in mind the price point and the style, and personal rapport as I did. My fiancé and I had our engagement photos done prior to this as we don't live in Columbus, and had taken some notes with regard to what we were looking for. In our first meeting, Ben met all my criteria - he was professional yet friendly, showed a genuine interest in who we are as a couple, came in at a price point lower than other photographers I met with, and I liked his work better than many others I had seen. From the outset Ben was flexible with our photo package - since we had our engagement photos already done and it was included in the package we selected, he added in time at our rehearsal dinner. Now comes the wedding weekend - the true test! And Ben exceeded every expectation I had! He was constantly present to capture every moment, yet he was so unobtrusive you hardly even noticed he was there. I think someone in a previous review called him a ninja - and I agree! Our guests were raving about him before the night was even over - he somehow managed to be everywhere at the same time, and capture even the little moments. I really didn't think it was possible! I don't think there is enough room here to rave as much as I would like to about Ben Barnes photography. We are so happy with our photos and the whole experience. Choosing him as our photographer really is one of the best decisions I made!

ple we met- until we had the pleasure of meeting with Ben. He is so friendly and easy to get along with, and made our engagement session very fun and laid back. He showed up on our wedding day early in the morning when we started getting ready, and stayed until the very end of the reception at 11:00PM- capturing every moment that we wanted. When we got our pictures back from our wedding day (only 3 weeks after!), I could not have been more pleased with how they turned out. We felt like he really captured our personalities in our photos, and nothing felt too stiff or staged. We would highly recommend Ben!

so fast was priceless. So many photographers charge by the hour or charge more for extended days. Ben was there from the moment I said go to the music stopped at the end of the night. I loved looking back at some of the things I loved about the end of the night (including one shot with wedding crushers I it!) to my friends singing with the band on the last song. While the formal pictures are incredible, I think I a, most thankful for him being there and capturing those moments! I have beautiful pictures to hang on my wall and fun picture to remember my entire day as well! Thank you Ben from the bottom of my heart! Ladies....choose him!

n artistic documentary to the day. He also is able to totally nail posed pictures too. Ben was with us from 9am at the salon until the END of the reception (at 11pm). He also came to our rehearsal to see how the ceremony would flow so he could be even better prepared on the big day--which was his idea. We just got our pictures back this week and are speechless with what he was able to capture without us even knowing he was there! We truly didn't need a videographer (so glad we didn't pay for one) because Ben captured every moment of the entire day. He got incredibly poignant expressions and interactions between my fiancé and I, our wedding party, and guests. Looking at our pics feels like we are re-living our wedding day. Many of of my bridesmaids (who are already married)" said he was the best photographer they have ever worked with. On top of all this, Ben is down to earth, comfortable to talk to, and easy to get along with. He helped to keep the stress low on the wedding day and had a very calm presence, but was also very good at directing people in photos, even my large family. He even gave one of my bridesmaids a ride to the church from the salon so she could have extra time to do her make-up. Great communication throughout the entire process, highly professional. This guy has it all and was reasonably priced given the time, talent, and work he put into our day. You will not be disappointed with Ben!

ngaged late in the year and despite cold and gloomy weather during our "engagement session," Ben produced beautiful and stunning pictures. You could never tell from the photos that the weather wasn't great. There was also some questionable weather on our wedding day, but again Ben's amazing ability as a photography produced stunning photographs. On the wedding day, Ben provided complete coverage of the events beginning with me at the hair salon through the last dance at the reception. After we went through our pictures (which Ben got back to us very quickly), there was not one event throughout the day that he did not capture beautifully. We never had that moment saying "I wish we could have had a picture of that..." because Ben got it all. It was truly a pleasure working with Ben throughout our wedding process and I could not speak more highly of his ability as a photographer and his professionalism. We have already recommended him to all of our unmarried friends!

ove and beyond for both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures! Ben did a great job capturing all of the best moments of our wedding while remaining behind the scenes. In fact, my husband and I couldn't believe some of the shots he got because we had no idea that Ben was anywhere near us during that time! Not only my husband and I, but also our families and friends are incredibly impressed with the photos that Ben took. In addition to Ben's amazing pictures, he was incredibly friendly and very easy to work with. He definitely made us feel very comfortable. I know I emailed him numerous times with random questions and he was always willing to work with me. His turn around time for getting the pictures back to us was great too! I loved that we only had to wait a few weeks because. Ben's talent with a camera and artistic eye come through in all of the 900 and some pictures that we received. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone a thousand times over. Ben and his photos were absolutely perfect and more than I could have ever dreamed of!

best part of using Ben as our photographer though was all of the natural shots he was able to take. Ben has an amazing eye for capturing photos that aren't posed, and these ones are the best pictures from the day. The photos he took were so great that the venue has contacted us and asked if they could use some photos of our wedding for their advertisements and website. I would hire Ben again in a heartbeat.

d I so we told him our situation and he basically did an engagement package for us for 250.00 and we went back out to our wedding venue. I got back in my wedding dress and my husband re-rented his tux and Ben did 1 hour and 15min of pictures on June 9, 2013. We got them back last night and they all look amazing! He really did a great job and we really wish we had hired him in the first place! Would definitely recommend to anyone! They truely are beautiful pictures!! have asked for. Ben was professional and great to work with. He managed multiple locations on our wedding day and managed to capture every moment! After getting our wedding pictures I was even more amazed by his work. I would recommend Ben to anyone for both quality and price.

p for a life time. My husband and I could not be happier with Ben's professionalism, quality of photos, personality, and quick turn around. We highly recommend him for any event!!!

es and put us at ease. Ben was there for our rehearsal dinner, while we were getting ready for the ceremony, the ceremony (of course), and the reception all while being stealthy and we never knew he was there taking our pictures beyond the portraits. He did an excellent job capturing our emotions and story of the night. The pictures are amazing and even the DVD arrived in a beautiful booklet. Ben always stayed in touch with us before and after the wedding to keep us up to date with the happenings. We are so lucky to have found Ben. He was absolutely amazing and we recommend him a thousand times.

creativity inspired so many beautiful and candid pictures. All my husband and I could question was how he was in so many places at one time- he caught everything on camera! His kind personality put us all at ease during such a nerve-racking event, everyone enjoyed his company and we will to this day consider him a friend to us. We've also hired him since then to take family photos. Ben is so very TALENTED; his eye for lighting, candid moments and suggestions for certain pictures that now we look back and are so happy he made those suggestions. We had him photo our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, he took photos of my hair & make-up getting done the next day and every person that came to our wedding reception he got a photo of them with either my husband or I so all of our guests had something to remember that day by! He traveled to a park to take our wedding pics after the ceremony, they were so lovely! I even left my blusher veil there and Ben went back to get it. I think we had a little over a 1000 pics when it was all said and done- if I needed anything tweaked after the wedding with the photos, he gladly did it and quickly too. The prints that we got from him turned out beautifully- only the best quality and shipped quick. I could go on and on but I will close with saying that Ben was the best choice, out of all the decisions I had to make, for my wedding. Kind, funny, very talented, dependable and did whatever it took to make the day smooth...ladies, check out his website for more back-up on my statements and I would be glad to give any additional feedback if anyone needs it! -Hannah D, Columbus OH

ask on when we'd get them). He is so easy going and makes you feel completely comfortable. His photography style is fantastic; he's not intrusive AT ALL and he's a true professional. I knew after our engagement session that I was going to LOVE our wedding photos and what he provided us was so much more than I could've expected. I truly can't say enough good things about his work. The photos were amazing, all of my guests and wedding party commented that I had to have gotten 'THE BEST' photographer in the city. I truly think I did. I will recommend Ben to anyone I know needing photography needs. Choose him! Wedding Date - 10.20.12 Location - Pinnacle Golf Club

p done, and he spent the whole day at the venue. He was very quick to get the photos back to us and they look BREATHTAKING! He is such a creative photographer and the photos are stunning. He is also super responsive and very professional. I would definitely recommend him!

after the event-so quick!) and I am so happy. He captured the entire feel of the evening. I was able to re-live precious moments as I scrolled through his photos. I kept receiving compliments at our wedding about how "cool" our photographer was. He was unobtrusive, yet there for every important moment- inlcuding helping us figure out how to cut our cake! I would recommend Ben to anyone without hesitation- choosing Ben was the easiest part of our wedding planning process.

are so many pictures of everyone from us girls getting ready to all the fun at the reception. I could not be happier with the quality of the pictures because nothing looks posed, everything is candid, and he really seemed to capture every moment. He posted our pictures two weeks after we got married so there wasn't a huge wait to see his amazing work. I would absolutely recommend Ben to everyone!

ecause of the artistic and candid pictures that we saw on his website. He delivered; we love every single one of our pictures from our day. We have received many compliments on our wedding photos from family and friends. I would highly recommend Ben and I am positive that in the future we will use him again for family photos.

e day went so fast for me and my husband so it's wonderful to look at the pictures and see that all our hard work of planning payed off and that our guests were having as much fun as we did. He really captured the energy of the day, it's like watching a documentary of our wedding. Besides his amazing pictures, Ben was great to work with. He always answered emails right away and spent the entire day with us, from the time we started getting ready until the very last dance. I could not have been happier with him. I would highly recommend him to any bride!

ayed a high level of professionalism. My family and friends were also extremely impressed with his work. My expectations were more than exceeded and I could not be any happier with my pictures!

of town and he always responded to emails and I felt like he really understood what I wanted in my wedding pictures. I chose him for his artistic, photojournalistic approach and he certainly delivered! The photos seemed natural and really showed the tone and emotions of the day. The day of he blended naturally into the crowd and was unobtrusive but managed to be everywhere and get amazing shots all day long! He was there in the morning when we got ready until the end of the reception in the evening. I was thrilled when I received the link to my online gallery- I can't stop looking at the pictures! I would highly recommend choosing Ben to document your special day!

en so many compliments and we would recommend Ben to our closest friends and family. He was one of the best decisions we made when it came to vendors for the wedding. Everyone has commented that they don't know how he got some of the pictures that he did. We have over 1,000 pictures from our wedding and this is the best keepsake we could ever ask for. Trust us, for the price you won't find anything better. Ben could charge much more for the amount of pictures he provides, the time he spends on your wedding and the type of work he does. You will not regret the decision to go with Ben!

was perfect!

back and observant. He was with us the entire day of our wedding and captured moments as they happened and made us (and everyone in attendance)look good. We were more interested in candid shots than in the more traditional posed shots and he artfully documented everything. We also did traditional portraits with the family and they came out excellently. Ben offers a premium product for a very reasonable price and I wholeheartedly recommend him for wedding or other photography needs. Check out his work on his webpage, good stuff.

edding album will be unlike your friends' (in a very good way)! He worked with us literally the entire day, going to numerous locations, and taking photos from start (he attended the rehearsal the night before) to finish (the last dance at our reception). He was very open to my (unprofessional!) ideas for some photos, and, of course, made a ton of great professional suggestions as well. We ended up with over 1,300 fabulous photos of our day. Ben captured moments that I didn't even remember happening, making it awesome to look back on and see the story of our wedding day. Ben also photographed our engagement session, and those photos are equally as cherished! If you hire Ben Barnes Photography to shoot your wedding, you will not regret it.

y. The best compliment we got from a friend after seeing our pictures was, " these pictures look like a piece of art you can hang in your home.". That is exactly what we wanted. Ben was very personable and we could not believe how much time he spent with us on our wedding day capturing every moment. His ability to capture the moment was exactly what we wanted and we are so happy we used Ben Barnes.

ind the perfect balance of posed and candid pictures for us. He is very personable and easy to get along with, and he was able to capture the most amazing candid pictures throughout the day. I am able to look at our wedding photos and remember the different emotions we were all feeling at different times in the day because Ben was able to capture those real moments so perfectly! He was very respectful of our guests as he moved around the room to capture pictures, and it was easy to forget he was even there! Ben has a good eye for angles, backgrounds, etc. If you're looking for a unique but wonderful photographer, Ben is the one you want! I will continue to highly recommend him to everyone I know!

and work with) and he makes sure that you get the shots that you want, plus so many others. He even came to our rehearsal to meet everyone and took photos. Some of my favorites are the candids that he shot during the wedding and reception. It was great to see so many photos of our guests enjoying themselves...(since we were busy mingling). I would highly recommend using Ben B for your upcoming wedding!!

ally quickly after the wedding and truly every single one was stunning. I will be recommending him to anyone who is getting married. Or for any other important milestone.

sal the day before and the salon the morning of, without charging any extra. He was great on the wedding day as well-- he had wonderful ideas for formal picture settings, and he got lots of candids as well. He did a great job of getting all the right shots without being in our faces at all- He was very professional, but super friendly and even if I had to do everything over, I would still pick Ben!

ding day. He came to my rehearsal to scope out his position for pictures and figure out who everyone was and then came to the salon the morning of my wedding and stayed through the end of the reception. The day after I returned from my honeymoon he had my proofs ready and they are beautiful! He has been very easy to work work as well.

pictures and for most of the night I didn't even notice him. He just stayed in the background and captured all of these beautiful images.
