One of my most cherished memories from our wedding last summer was Ben Hoyt playing violin during cocktail hour. My husband and I are both professional musicians, so the bar for li...
ve music at our wedding was exceptionally high. Ben didn't just meet it, he surpassed it in every possible way. When my husband proposed the first thing I thought about for planning the wedding, was what live music we were going to have. It was a no-brainer to ask my dear former Peabody Conservatory classmate Ben, because everyone in our industry knows he is a brilliant violinist, and one of the best entertainers out there.
To this day, people still write to me about how special the live music was: how beautiful it sounded, how alive the atmosphere felt, and how much fun Ben was to listen to, watch, and chat with. His playing was fun, expressive, and musical, but just as importantly, his presence was warm, engaging, and completely in tune with the spirit of the day.
Ben took the time to truly understand the atmosphere we were hoping to create, and he shaped the music around that vision with care and artistry. He has an incredible instinct for reading a room and elevating it, and he made our wedding feel genuinely magical. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you want live music that is both world-class and deeply human, Ben is your guy.
As a wedding planner (Forever Enchanted Events), I’ve had the pleasure of working with many talented musicians over the years, but Ben Hoyt truly stands out, and we let him know. H...
is violin performances are absolutely incredible, and what stands out the most is the quality of his sound. We work with many violinists, and Ben's sound system and amplification has been specifically designed to enhance his performance and create a full, warm, sound, that stands out from his competitors in a way that literally left us in awe and asking him to explain how his sound was so much higher quality than others. He is clearly a seasoned professional and you can feel his passion and artistry in every note he plays, all the way down to how he smiles and seems to really enjoy playing throughout the event.
Ben has an extraordinary ability to set the tone for a ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception, creating an atmosphere that feels both elegant and moving, while still highlighting current songs that are easily recognizable and trendy.
I can’t recommend Ben Hoyt highly enough. If you’re looking for a violinist who will elevate your wedding experience and leave a lasting impression, Ben is a fantastic choice.
