Ben and his brother Sam played guitar and violin for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Brownfield, ME this past weekend and I can not get over how beautifully they played. ...
They truly made the day extra special. Ben also made everything so easy, starting with a helpful questionnaire, huge list of song options, and seamless set up the day of. I didn't have to think about a thing the day of our wedding! They also learned a new song for our processional and it was perfect!! Thank you so very much!

Ben was absolutely fantastic at our wedding! We loved having him play guitar alongside his colleague on violin—the live music was beautiful and made our ceremony and cocktail hour ...
feel so special. He also did an amazing job as our DJ and MC, keeping the reception fun and upbeat with great music and announcements throughout the night. He brought such great energy to the day and helped make our wedding everything we hoped it would be. We’re so glad we chose Ben and would recommend him to anyone looking for live music and a DJ for their wedding!
We had a fantastic experience working with Ben Lyons for our wedding this summer. Ben and his duo partner were both incredibly talented musicians, and the live music added so much ...
to the atmosphere of the day.
Ben was organized, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He even learned a song specifically for us, which made the music feel especially personal. Everything came together beautifully, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We’d highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for live music for their wedding or event.
We can’t say enough good things about Ben Lyons! He played violin during our ceremony and then DJed the reception, and having one person handle both made everything feel seamless. ...
The violin set a beautiful, emotional tone as we walked down the aisle, and our guests are still talking about it.
Once the reception started, Ben kept the dance floor packed all night. He had everyone singing along to “Pink Pony Club,” and he made sure to work in all of our special requests, including the Little Big Band, our personal request. He read the room perfectly and struck just the right balance between our picks and crowd favorites. To playing, where is my husband, very on theme!
What really stood out was how personable and easy to work with he was. Ben responded quickly to every question, listened carefully to what we wanted, and made the planning process completely stress-free. On the day itself, he was professional, warm, and clearly cared about making our wedding special.
If you’re looking for a talented musician and DJ who’s a genuine pleasure to work with, we highly recommend Ben. Thank you for helping make our day unforgettable!

rocessional song and recorded a demo to play while he played the guitar part live since it was an orchestra only song. We had a couple goofy requests for reception entrances and he nailed them all! Ben had the most thorough questionnaire which was super helpful for us while planning because we hadn’t thought about quite a few things! He was quick to respond during the planning process and so kind.
There simply aren't enough positive things to say about Ben and his incredible ability to bring our wedding entertainment vision to life!

etail were truly impressive. He took a tremendous amount of pressure off our shoulders because we felt completely confident in his abilities and professionalism. Knowing we could trust him allowed us to focus on other aspects of our wedding weekend without feeling the need to micromanage such an important vendor.
Second, his dedication to ensuring we had exactly what we wanted was outstanding. Ben invited us to attend one of his live performances so we could experience his talent firsthand. He even performed several songs we were considering for our wedding, giving us the opportunity to hear them before making our final selections. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the planning process even more special.
Finally, his talent is absolutely unbelievable. Every single guest at our wedding was amazed by his performance. Ben has a remarkable ability to cover a wide variety of songs while adding his own unique style and personality—and honestly, in my opinion, making them even better!
Throughout the entire process, Ben was kind, responsive, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. He delivered perfection.

k with, was very detail oriented and on top of everything. Not to mention he sounded amazing! Having him play live was one of the highlights of the wedding! He also did a fabulous job DJing and catering toward both the younger guests, and the older generation. Hiring Ben Lyons was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He is a truly talented musician, a professional DJ, and simply a wonderful person to work with.

ng our search, the cost savings and convenience of hiring one person to handle both our ceremony/cocktail music and the reception DJ services were a huge factor. Ben delivered on this promise flawlessly. The transition from his beautiful, live solo acoustic set during the ceremony and cocktail hour to the high-energy DJ reception was executed perfectly and felt completely seamless. It was the perfect "one-stop-shop" package.
From the start, communication with Ben was outstanding—he was easy to reach and responded quickly to all our inquiries. We particularly appreciated his meticulous planning process. He provides a detailed form that guides you through every aspect of your wedding day preferences, and his extensive song lists allow you to specify exactly which songs you want or, just as importantly, which ones you don't want him to play. This level of organization made us feel completely confident in his hands. As a full-time musician, his professionalism and organization shine through.
His ability to adapt on the fly was truly remarkable. When the father of the groom decided to give a spontaneous speech, I quickly mouthed the cue to Ben from across the room. He seamlessly announced the speaker, making the unplanned moment feel organized and intentional, rather than a disruption.
Ben was overall just great to work with and a very kind human. He is organized, responsive, talented, and flexible—even able to adapt on the fly when needed. We wholeheartedly recommend Ben Lyons to any couple looking for a polished, talented, and affordable music solution for their entire wedding day.

You do not want to miss out at having this caring and kind musician at your wedding. He was determined to make sure that the event was successful (performed in our desired areas, speakers in the right place, etc…) and communication was always timely.
Now to the music - I am a music teacher and professional violinist myself. This guy is a top notch player with an amazing voice. He plays it all - the band even played an old Taking Back Sunday song for us that we requested to be played that night. Our guests raved about the music and still do to this day! He made sure that the music was never a worry on our big day.
You got to book this guy!
