I couldn’t be any happier with my decision in choosing Ben to play at my small wedding of 35 people. Ben was extremely helpful with guiding me through the music planning process (yes there’s a process and he knew exactly what to do)! He offered a wide variety of songs to choose from and gave fantastic suggestions on what songs to play throughout the event as well. The music set up was minimal and discreet, and he was mindful with not being the center of my big day. He was such a pleasure to work with and my guests absolutely loved him! Thank you again Ben!!

Even before Ben came to play music at our event, he was very helpful when providing pricing estimates. We had reached out to many different artists, but Ben was not only the first to get back to us, but he consistently provided timely, professional work. As for the quality of his performance, it was outstanding, and many had complimented his good job during and after the event. We will be asking him to come back next year!

We hired Ben to do our ceremony and cocktail hour music and he did such a great job! He was super easy to communicate with and was very accommodating with our requests. His list of known music was so beyond extensive, which is perfect for accommodating any requests. I am so glad we ended up decided on adding a live music aspect to our wedding.

Ben was simply amazing and helped to make our wedding day absolutely perfect! From learning two specific songs that had significant meaning to us, to being able to read the audience and provide beautiful music that was appreciated by everyone, he was the best! We hired Ben to play the music during our ceremony and we cannot recommend him enough! He is such a nice person and I will forever be thankful for the absolutely BEAUTIFUL rendition of I Want to Hold Your Hand that he played as I walked down the aisle. That song is very special to me and I am so beyond grateful that he was able to make it a part of such a special moment in my life. Ben also played a song for a special moment during our ceremony and he knew exactly how to time everything perfectly even without having any rehearsal. Ben is an absolute GEM! He is incredibly kind, talented, and has a clear passion for music. He graciously learned my preferred song to walk down the aisle to (Better Together by Jack Johnson), as well as our first dance song so we could have our dance to live music during cocktail hour. While I watched a few videos online before hiring him, I was completely blown away by experiencing his music live, in-person. He was an absolute highlight for our day and our guests are still singing his praises!

SINGLE BEST WEDDING DECISION in the choice of Ben Simcox for my daughter's wedding music. He performed processional/recessional/hymns at the small chapel ceremony (with his mother on keyboard), played acoustic for the outside cocktail hour and then DJ'd the reception for 150 people @Bluestone Estates.
From beginning to end, he was passionate, inspirational and informative with his ideas, organized, responsive and professional. He catered directly to our desires in playlists, inclusive music for all ages, and the dance floor was full the entire evening. We are so thankful to have found you Ben! You hit it out of the park :)

Ben was such a bright point of our wedding. We had over half of our guests come up to us asking where we found him and if he could do their events. He made the focus entirely on my husband and I and did everything we asked with ZERO issues. We couldn’t be happier having him be apart of our big day.
We wanted a subtle vibe with live music and Ben was able to conform to exactly that. The music was beautiful, people thought our first dance song was being played from a playlist but it was live. Not only was the music great but he was the easiest vendor to deal with. Flexible, willing to help, and attentive. Ben was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much!!!!

Ben was a fantastic DJ for our wedding! During the planning process he was responsive and professional. We had him do live music (guitar and singing) during dinner, and it was so incredible it sounded like a flawless recording. His live music created magic during dinner, really setting the romantic tone. Then during the reception, Ben did a great job getting everyone dancing and having a good time! He really knows his art and we highly recommend him!!

We hired Ben to play live music and DJ our wedding. He’s incredibly accommodating, working with us along the way, and then he handled the event flawlessly. Ben had plenty of helpful suggestions to guide us through the process of getting ready for our big day. We knew we didn’t have to worry about the musical aspect, because he had it all under control. We had plenty of people asking about him because he did such a great job. Our wedding had a very chill vibe and Ben‘s down to earth personality fit perfectly.
Ben is an absolutely fantastic and talented musician playing the guitar, harmonica, cymbal and bass drum while singing and putting his own spin on songs. We now go to establishments just to see him. I’d highly recommend Ben for any event!

Ben did an amazing job with my son's wedding. He worked with us on a very short notice and was awesome from beginning to end.
On the day of the wedding, he went above and beyond what I could have expected. I highly recommend him you will not be disappointed.
From day one when I spoke with Ben, I felt so secure in knowing we made the best decision for our wedding. I could recognize over the phone, check ins and messages Ben had my best interest at heart. I loved that we were able to brain storm and make the day truly unique for me. Unlike other musicians I spoke to, he wasn’t trying to upsell a product, it was a truthful genuine conversation. Ben played at my daughters micro wedding, held in our backyard, during Covid. He is a wonderful musician. Everyone raved about his voice and music. I found him to be so accommodating, generous and kind. He decided to join us for the rehearsal so my daughter would be more comfortable. Ben is professional, punctual and you will not find anyone better for a small wedding or shower.

We can't say enough good things about Ben! He was the perfect way to end our wedding festivities. After our DJ began to wrap up inside, Ben arrived to play acoustic guitar and sing and sing outside on the patio. The guests loved it. He took requests and really catered to the group. Ben is an extremely talented musician and and all around joy to be around. His personality, communication, timeliness, knowledge of music/weddings are top notch. Live music has been and continues to be a key influencer in my life. From singing in choirs and church to performing in private and public venues, I especially enjoy the connection that music makes possible. Yes...live music can be a performance, but my desire is to facilitate connection rather than to be the focus of attention. I'm also kind of a renaissance man, and I believe that variety of interests is represented in the range of musical genres that I cover as well as in the songs that I write.
When I'm not playing music I enjoy spending plenty of time with my wife and three daughters.
