We cannot speak highly enough about Benken Venue. We initially wanted a greenhouse wedding and were thrilled to find Benken, which is centrally located and very affordable. We continued to be blown away by their customer service throughout the wedding planning process. Robin is simply THE best and made our day so special. She went above and beyond to coordinate with vendors and walk us through how the day would be organized. Our guests are still talking about what a unique and beautiful venue Benken is. We especially adore our cocktail hour in the house plant area and taking pictures around the grounds and in the greenhouse. It was truly so dreamy, especially in the Atrium at night. We cannot recommend Benken enough. This is your sign to book this small business venue NOW. What a value and a treasure!

My husband and I got married in October 2023. Benken served as our venue and florist. We chose them because their venue is affordable and has built-in decorations. I loved all the ...

gourds! We worked with Robin and Tamica, both of whom were easy to work with and communicated well. They’re upfront about the costs, no hidden fees. We got MANY compliments on the uniqueness of the venue. Our guests enjoyed mingling among the plants during cocktail hour. The flowers, bouquet and centerpieces, were beautiful and exactly what we asked for. A few points: you have to use one of their preferred caterers and their supplier for alcohol. You have to order wine and beer by the case, which can get expensive fast. Unsurprisingly, if you rent their space as a venue, you have to use them as your florist. Also, they make it clear that they are a flower/plant business first. So whatever plants/decorations/supplies are up during store hours will be what’s up during the wedding in the shop areas. The venue areas can be set up as you like. You can bring in any decorations you want, they only have rules/restrictions about decorations that need to be hung up. They were very accommodating about letting us leave leftover alcohol and decorations until the next day in their storage space. I would highly recommend Benken as the venue for your next event! It’s such a unique place with very helpful and supportive staff.

When we struck out in search of a wedding venue that neither of us had been to before, we knew we were in for a struggle. However, when we stumbled upon Benken in the search for ho...

use plants, we had a feeling we found a hidden gem. We also didn’t figure that our venue would be our built in florist, but that just made the experience all the more seamless. They were easy to work with, up front about cost and logistics, and in the end, provided an incredible backdrop for our big day. Besides being a perfect setting for our celebration, the staff was incredibly accommodating for both set up the day before and clean up the following day (which ended up being a Monday since they were closed the day after our wedding). For being an active garden center, they made it incredibly easy for us to store our decor overnight the day prior to our wedding as well as allow us to work around them and their customers on the Monday to clear everything out. The wedding planning staff was also incredibly prompt and responsive whenever we had questions or concerns along the way. When a small billing discrepancy was discovered shortly after our event, it was rectified within the hour. Robin and her team were great. If you are in search of a unique, flexible venue with invested operators, you can do no better than Benken.

life. My bouquet was easily one of my favorite touches of the wedding. I still have it displayed months later. They are very affordable which was another bonus. I wouldn't bother looking any further and use H.J Benken for your wedding flower needs!
