Working with DJ Benny was a pleasure. He made our day 4/13/24 one to remember and listened to everything we were looking for. DJ Benny Goodman absolutely killed it! He took the time to get to know us ahead of time and took extra time in making our special requests happen, even last minute! No one stopped dancing all night! Benny is a consummate professional. The event he did here with us (at Northeastern University) is our annual 50th anniversary dinner - this year the class of 1973. He played hits of that era, and also treated the audience to some piano playing as well. I'd recommend Benny for any event of any size for any demographic.

Stop your search because Benny NEEDS to be your DJ. Looking for a DJ was a little overwhelming... a photographer can show you their portfolio but you are really trusting that a DJ can do what they say they can. We had a cocktail style reception, meaning no seated dinner and mostly dancing. That really put the pressure on Benny and boy did he deliver. Benny really made an effort to get to know us as a couple and learn about our taste in music. He felt the vibe of our guests and really played to the crowd, which meant the dance floor was always packed. Every DJ plays that one song that makes people leave the dance floor to grab a drink and hit the bathroom... not Benny. Non-stop killer music the entire time. I'm so grateful we found Benny and Alicia, I honestly can say our wedding would've suffered without them! 5 stars aren't enough.

Finding a DJ for our wedding was definitely not an easy task. There are so many companies out there that it was almost overwhelming. When my husband and I saw Benny's video we knew already we were watching the right guy. As soon as we called him he picked up right away and spent almost an hour explaining the whole wedding industry, what we should be looking for and not even selling himself as much as trying to help us. Honestly all I can say is UNBELIEVABLE! Benny is the real deal. I can't say enough good things about our experience. My fiancé Joe and I saw Benny at our friends wedding and were just blown away. We have been doing the typical summer wedding thing and have been seeing band after DJ after band and no one has really resonated with us. We had DJ Benny Goodman and his Speak EZ Band for our corporate party and we genuinely could not have been happier. Benny helped coordinate our huge annual event we had where we flew in our team from around the country and was able to make the whole night seamless despite multiple changes, he rolled with the punches and acted "as if." The Speak EZ Band was something else altogether. They played a variety of music old and new (we have people from 30-60 so this was appreciated) and did so flawlessly. Benny's piano is truly phenomenal and the rest of the band were fantastic. Our team kept asking how we even got them to play! When it came down to Benny DJing he had everyone up and dancing the entire time even though there wasn't even really a dancefloor! Not only was Benny and the band a pleasure to work with, but we are still getting compliments from the team to come back to Boston! This review is LONG OVERDUE! My husband and I got married on New Years Eve this year (12/31/18). Our main goal was to throw an epic party to celebrate our marriage as well as the New Year. We knew that in order to accomplish our goal we needed the perfect DJ. Benny went above and beyond and by passed all expectations! He was professional, brilliant, and responded within an hour to any question or worry we sent his way. Not only was he the DJ for our reception but he also played classical music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony music was absolutely magical, Benny was able to blend two of our favorite songs! The music during the cocktail hour was also perfect. Benny knows how to read a dance floor and is able to make the night flow smoothly. He played hit after hit after hit. My husband and I never left the dance floor and neither did our guests. Benny and his assistant would come to us throughout the night to run ideas by us or even tells us their thoughts on what to do next. Every idea or comment they had was spot on! From the moment the dancing started eveyone was on the dance floor till the very last song (which was epic), and even then they didnt want to leave. My husband actually required physical therapy (luckily my MOH is a PT) the day after our wedding because he danced so hard! Even months after our wedding we are still getting comments about how amazing it was, how it was the best wedding they had ever been to and how amazing our DJ was. If you want a beautiful ceremony, with music that means something to you, hire Benny. If you want to party and dance all night long, hire Benny. If you want an epic dance floor where people never leave, hire Benny. If you want to feel so sore the next day because you partied your buns off, hire Benny! Whenever I need a DJ in the future, I will ALWAYS hire Benny!

My wife put me in charge of finding a DJ and I’ll be totally honest, I hadn’t a clue of what I was doing. I called a few different companies and spoke to a bunch of DJs and when we got to Benny, within the first two minutes we knew we wanted him to be a part of our wedding. Throughout the entire process, from signing the contract until he left for the night after the wedding, he was professional, friendly, accommodating and, most importantly, accessible. I can’t tell you how many times I sent him emails or texts at all hours of the day with ideas or concerns, and he always got back to me. He was readily available with suggestions to my wedding timeline, giving me expert advice on what he’s seen work and what might be a better solution. We also hired him to play piano for our cocktail hour, and it was amazing! Benny is extremely hard-working, communicative, and positive; we had a great time working with him throughout preparation for our wedding (for which he & his band provided both live music and DJing). My wife and I got married a few months ago at the Seaport Hotel. Finding a DJ was supposed to be my thing so I went and talked to like 5 different companies and 10 DJs. From the first call I knew that Benny was our guy. He was confident, knew our venue, and this was clearly second nature for him. I dont normally write reviews..... but I felt compelled to refute the comments of a certain James R. who is literally the only bad review out of 84. So you can do the math on who is full of S*it or not. I am a groom to be and was charged on finding a DJ for my wedding. I found Benny's profile and since Im not much for emails I decided to give him a total cold call. Out of the 10 other calls I made that day Benny was one of two DJs that picked up an unknown number! Long story short... We quickly established that he was unavailable for the our date. This is where it get awesome... He stayed on the phone with me for an hour and a half! answered every question I had and gave me a ton of information I didnt even know I needed. At the end of our call he gave me two great reco's (one who I ended up hiring) and put me in touch with another contact that he thought could help. If you want a DJ who is going to rock your party, take the time to get to know you and the feeling of the event you are looking for Benny is your guy for sure. My best advice is look to book him close to a year out as people know whats good when they see it and he books fast!

Where do I begin!? I can honestly say that my wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was without Benny. He was professional, punctual and kept the dance floor PACKED the entire night. As a bride, I had fears that I would have an empty floor with no one busting any moves. Benny made sure that did NOT happen. In fact, he helped my husband's band set up a surprise set for me, had my 5 year old niece surprise me with a song (stealing the show might I add) as well as my dad and a close friend also getting on the mic! From the planning (which was an out of state wedding he traveled to) to the after party, Benny was there for it ALL. To this day we have guest two years later STILL talking about how amazing the wedding was. Every detail and song was so well thought out, I barely had time away from the dance floor! I am SO excited to say that he will be the DJ at my sister's wedding this summer! Benny is outstanding at what he does and will not disappoint. Don't let this one get away!

Sorry for writing this so late, but Benny went above and beyond for our wedding. Not only did he make sure every moment was flawless for our big day, but he went so far as to setup a full band for myself (and other musicians of course) to Have a surprise performance for my wife. The dance floor was never empty, and two years later I still have people telling me how much fun they had at our wedding. Benny did such an amazing job that he will be DJing at my sister in law’s wedding as well this coming year. I would 100% recommend Benny for any event. He is professional, punctual and knows how to keep the night going!

Benny DJ'd our company party and he was nothing but a delight to deal with. He kept the flow of everything going, got the dancefloor happening, and even helped raise money when it came to raffle time. Between the music, the lights, and his attention to detail, we will definitely be working with Benny again.

We could not be more complementary of Benny. After many weddings with average DJs we were particularly interested in making sure that we had someone that could meet (or exceed, in this case) our expectations. Benny was a true professional and oriented his approach to exactly the type of reception that we wanted. I am sure that he could have MC/DJ'd any kind of wedding, but the fact that we made our's unique and special was in part due to Benny. The music was absolutely spot on. The dance floor was full the entire night...and electric. He got us excited, but was not overbearing at all. Contrary to many DJs that we have seen, he did not make it about him, he made it about my wife and I, at every turn. We had at least 50 people (out of 200) tell us that is was the best reception and dance floor that they have been a part of - usually you get a few of those... but 50? We have Benny to thank for a lot of that. Every one of our vendors did a great job on event day, it was a flawless 16 hours. But another important part of the equation is how vendors act leading up to the event, and after. This is equally important in our minds. Of all our vendors, Benny was by far: 1) the easiest to get in touch with 2) most responsive 3) most courteous 4) most available 5) most energetic 6) most organized 7) most flexible 8) best money that we spent on our wedding It is with all these things in mind that I couldn't give a higher recommendation to Benny. Five stars... ten stars, if we could. We got married at our alma mater, had the reception at the Colonnade hotel in downtown Boston, and 200 guests attended. Benny adapted to the situation and our unique wants and aspirations. I am sure that he could and would do the same if you were hosting a wedding similar to ours or something completely different. I cannot say enough good things about Benny Goodman! He was AMAZING! Our guests are cannot stop talking about how great our DJ was. Not only was he on time, professional and full of energy, he made our reception an absolute BLAST! He had all our guest pumped and they didn’t leave the dance floor. Leading up to the wedding he took the time to talk with my husband and myself and get to know each of us. We both like very different music and I don’t know how Benny did it, but he managed to include a piece of each of us in his music selections. We had specific songs that needed to be played and he helped us select the best times to do it so it wouldn’t ruin the vibe of the wedding. For cocktail hour, the venue had a piano and Benny was able to play the piano for our guests which set the tone for the night. Prior to the wedding I had some people question my choice to get a DJ over a band, but after listening to Benny play the piano and then DJ the reception they realized this wasn’t your ordinary DJ. I even had people coming up and asking me how I knew Benny, because they thought for sure he was either a family member or a friend, just by the way he engaged with the crowd. I want to have another event just so I can hire Benny again! You need this man at your wedding!

We were going back and forth on whether we wanted a DJ or a band for our wedding at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, MA on 8/18/18. We really wanted a DJ to play all the songs we love, but a band to bring a fun energy to the ceremony and cocktail hour. We spent a lot of time researching our options, and believe us, you will not be disappointed if you pick Benny and his team. We could not have been happier with our decision, and our guests would say the same about them. Benny and his Speak EZ band are unique in that they can provide BOTH a band and DJ option for your wedding day. Not only were Benny and his team extremely responsive, professional, and helpful throughout the entire planning process, but they were truly outstanding at reading the dance floor and selecting the best music for everyone! We had the band play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and part of dinner, and then Benny switched the DJ'ing for the rest of the night. First, I'll start with the band. They absolutely crushed it. They played all of those feel-good songs that got everyone excited to be there and be a part of our day. Guests kept coming up to us and complimenting the band and the singer, Adam. They can really execute any genre, tweak songs to make them unique, and sound amazing when doing it. We were really impressed with Adam's singing, the guitarist, and of course Benny on the keyboard. They brought the exact ambiance we were hoping to have during both the ceremony and cocktail hour. The band even went above and beyond to learn and perfect a Florida Georgia line song for us ("Meant to Be") prior to the wedding day, so that they could perfectly perform it for us during our recessional. They had never played it for anyone else before, and it was clear that they were willing to work hard and learn a new song just to make us happy on our big day. They really impressed us! When we switched to DJ'ing during the reception, Benny was a fun awesome energetic MC, and he really knows how to read the dance floor. He tactfully selected each song to get all of our guests of all ages out onto the dance floor, and keep them there all night! He works off of the energy in the room, and knows exactly when to switch up the songs to keep everyone dancing. We even had some guests who never dance out on the dance floor having the best time. All of our guests were coming up to us throughout the night to compliment the DJ & band. We are so so so happy we chose Benny and his band to perform at our wedding. You will be so incredibly happy on your big day if you choose them as your vendors, we highly recommend them! Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but these guys are on top of it all! They clearly know what they are doing when it comes to throwing a great party. If we could give them 10 stars, we would :)

DJ Benny is a very responsive, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. His energy adds a life to your event that music alone cannot do. We would highly recommend him to DJ your event. He is quick to answer questions that arise throughout the planning phase and respectfully offers suggestions that fit your taste. He is flexible to communicate through many forms of communication preferred by the couple such as email, phone calls, and text messages. He reviews every detail down to the last days before the wedding including names of the wedding party to ensure that there are no hiccups on the big day. If we had to do it all over again, we would have DJ Benny DJ our wedding.

What can I say? Saw Benny and my best friends wedding and it was the most fun me and my fiance have had in a long time. We didn't stop dancing and he didn't seem to either. It didn't hurt that he had a killer light show. We will be in touch Benny. Thanks!!!

It was an absolute delight to have Benny DJ our wedding at The Bohlin in Newport, RI. From the first time we spoke with him, we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. He's professional, thorough, attentive, collaborative, and full of non-stop positive energy. He worked closely with us in the months leading up to help craft our wedding day. He always had great feedback and opinions on all our emails, never sparing how the logistics and details would work. It was fantastic to not be worried one bit about the entertainment ahead of time, and on the wedding day he delivered an incredible playlist that had everybody dancing all night. And in addition to DJ'ing the reception, he played keyboard with his band during the ceremony! We'd highly recommend using Benny for any event, especially if you want a very memorable wedding!

Through just a few phone calls and emails with Benny, my wife and I gave him a list of songs we liked (and disliked) and he perfectly nailed the playlist for our wedding this past weekend. He showed up early, setup his equipment and was well prepared. Vibes were great and everyone was dancing. I have a tendency to stress over minor details but never needed to with Benny, I knew we were in good hands. Benny’s positive attitude and excitement for what he does is infectious. He’s an exceptional, personable DJ who has no issues reading a room and is incredibly easy to work with. Worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! *never mind his top notch sound system, but his light show?! You want it.

I saw Benny DJ my boyfriend's Grad party and he made the night worth while. Everyone knows that these things are all about the music and we were on the dance floor until they kicked us out! Not only did he play all our favorite songs, but he was very personable! Everyone loved him and the atmosphere he created. This guy knows a crowd and gave us just what we needed to have an epic grad night. Thank you Benny Goodman, and thank you whoever hired him for my big man's big night. Could not have asked for a better DJ.

We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Benny was incredible to have. From first contact to the final note, he made it so easy and seamless for us. The amount of options you have in working with someone like Benny was a huge draw for us. From setting up a PA for our outdoor ceremony and playing the songs we selected for those special moments, to moving into cocktail hour and playing a grand piano, and ending with a funky dance party into the night. Benny read the room and the vibe of the day the entire time. He played songs referenced in some of the speeches, or songs from memories he heard as people reminisced; really thoughtful! You can't go wrong with this Benny, his band, or any combination thereof! He takes care of everything, he's a great MC, and people respond to him. A true talent and a pleasure to work with. Hire him, and throw yourselves a damn party! You won't regret it!

I was the maid of honor at my sisters wedding and Benny was our DJ. I wanted to do something special for her and make a song/megamix for my speech and Benny put it together like a pro. He was so much fun and everyone had an absolute blast. He paid attention to the details, was professional, and ran everything perfectly. That is besides the fact he is an incredible musician, too!!!

We hired Benny for our graduation party and he was great. He knew exactly what to play to get people going and changed it up to keep everyone happy! He was also extremely easy to work and professional. I am glad we chose Benny and would recommend him for any event.

We had asked Benny to be a part of our charity event to raise money for our foundation to help assist sending young teens to school and he was ever so gracious. He came in and helped plan the event, played piano, emceed, and DJd for the night. We were able to raise over 40k with much help from Benny who not only was fabulous with both the piano and the DJing, but was extremely helpful with garnering donations and engaging our crowd. Benny is as good as they come and we truly appreciate him lending us his vast expertise.
