We had the pleasure of working with Benoit & McCarthy Photography , at Black Swan Country Club, and I would totally recommend working with both David & Gaby! We first contacted David after seeing their work at Black Swan hung up on the walls. The quality and uniqueness stood out to us right away! We were looking for a photographer who would have fun with us but also get us timeless photos. After speaking with David and letting him know I would be having a darker wedding, I knew right away we were making the right decision. I had one single request and he NAILED IT! We also ended up adding the Photo Booth option, which every single person who used it has went out of their way to tell us how much fun it was. They were able to receive their photos instantly and we got a link with all the photos from the night. If you are looking for timeless photography and want someone who will listen to your wants and go above and beyond that look no further. We will treasure our photos forever. Incredible. I’d give 10/5 stars if I could. We worked with Gaby for both our engagement photos and wedding day and we’re so glad that we did! Professional, prompt and fun to work with, Gaby made us feel comfortable and like we were models the entire time!!! Engagement photos came out awesome and were turned around to us very quickly; our wedding was just recently so while we haven’t seen the wedding photos yet, we have super high expectations. Prices were also among the most competitive. Thank you for helping to make our day perfect.

Gaby and her team did such a fantastic job photographing my wedding this past July. She was super nice and easy to work with leading up to the event, and she was extremely professional, did a great job to kept us all on schedule - one less thing to stress about on your wedding day! She was also was very efficient so we didn't miss out on too much time with our guests! The pictures came back very quickly too and they turned out AMAZING! Benoit also did our photobooth which was a bit hit! Highly recommend!

We were incredibly pleased with our experience with Benoit & McCarthy!! What a team, Gaby & David are. They did our engagement photos back in May and we were very happy with them as well. So many different shots of us in relaxed "lifestyle" poses that we loved them. During our wedding preparation, Gaby communicated with us clearly & often to let us know exactly what would transpire on our special day. A timeline of the photo taking was created and it made us confident as how the day would unfold. I highly recommend Benoit & McCarthy Photography! Gaby Benoit is extremely talented, professional, and personable. She made us feel so comfortable and natural when she took our engagement and wedding photos, and we were so happy with how everything came out! Gaby was very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process, and leading up to the wedding day she helped us put together our timeline which alleviated a lot of stress. It rained on and off during our cocktail hour, and Gaby and Kamal quickly adapted and made sure we still got incredible photos. We received 1,000+ wedding photos less than three weeks after our wedding and they were BEAUTIFUL!

Gaby Benoit was a stellar photographer and everything we could have asked for. She was timely and professional, not to mention extremely talented. She participated in several planning calls to make sure she knew exactly what we were looking for, and even pivoted from indoor to outdoor photos when the weather proved dreary and rainy. She had excellent suggestions and kept the entire group on schedule. We were lucky enough to have David as our second photographer; he has an impressive eye and captured some truly stunning photos for us as well. We received our final photos very quickly and are extremely pleased with Benoit & McCarthy. We even recommended them to another friend who is getting married, and she liked them so much she decided to work with them too!

(July 2022- The Commons) Benoit and McCarthy was a preferred vendor through our venue/worked with our DJ (NuImage) and we truly are so glad we contacted them because working with them throughout planning, day of, and now seeing the beautiful photos they captured we could not be more pleased with how it all turned out! We working with David and his second photographer Jurek and they were a joy to work with and very professional. Thier familiarity with our venueand the other vendors was an added bonus. Meeting with David he truly listened to what we wanted captured from the wedding day and seamlessly made adjustments day of based on the flow of the day as well. Our goal was spending as much time enjoying ourselves with our guests rather than taking portrait photo andDavid helped us achieve this and more! We have beautiful portraits that were taken efficiently time wise and even more beuatiful candids enjoying ourselves with our wedding party and friends thorughout the whole special day! Highly reccomend!!

We started our search for photographers with a preferred list from our wedding vendor and didn't have to look any further after talking with Gabby. Having her familiar with our venue was an added bonus. Going into the wedding planning process, we knew that we wanted someone who could guide us through those signature wedding shots and poses and suggest when/where to take them. We felt so confident after our first interactions that she and her team were going to take care of us. We also had our young nieces and nephews included in the wedding party and photos. As can be expected with toddlers, the younger ones began to lose interest in having their picture taken - but Gabby and her partner interacted so well with the little ones to gather their attention back to the camera and had us all smiling and laughing. We can't thank Gabby and her team enough - we are just in love with every single photo they took!

I worked with Dave Benoit for my wedding and I was very satisfied, the photos were perfect! Planning with him over the phone in advance of the wedding day was very smooth and he was more than happy to sync briefly over a call the week of the wedding to nail down the last details. All this pre-wedding prep was extremely helpful in making the wedding day schedule go very smoothly. On the wedding day, Dave was right on time and we were ready for him thankfully. He got right to it with his assistant taking all sorts of photos and providing guidance on how to pose. Throughout the day, he made sure to get all the important candid shots and guided us through all the important posed shots. He was more than willing to go along with any ideas we had as well. He was very professional and it was a pleasure to work with him and his assistant during the wedding. When he finished processing the photos, we got them ~1.5 months after the wedding which I expected (photo editing takes so long if done right). For 6.5 hours of photography (including 1.5 hours of travel where no photos were taken), I got ~1,050 photos. The photos were so much fun to look through and they were so lovely. Extremely happy with the final set and I can't wait to print some out for albums and frames in the future. Will 100% be recommending Benoit & McCarthy Photography to all my friends in the future (and side tip - Since their booking is handled by NuImage, if you book Benoit & McCarthy photography and a NuImage DJ [and the DJ was great too!], you should definitely ask the booking agent for a discount [I got $400 off the DJ & photography package which made it affordable for me!]).

Benoit & McCarthy was our top pick for our wedding photographer and boy let me tell you, choose them!! You will not regret it!!  We had Dave and Tom the day of our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!! We are absolutely in LOVE with all of our photos!!! Everything during the process (booking to planning to day of) was amazing! Dave was able to capture me getting ready, while Tom went with my husband and his groomsmen. They were both able to capture so many aspects of the small details to different angles from our ceremony to our reception! We were a little worried with our photos because when my husband and I normally take photos, one of us is smiling and the other isn't, but Dave and Tom were great! They told us when to smile and when to be serious, or give a little bit more attitude!  To be honest, we didn't even see them capture our big moments, because we were so present in what was going on that we didn't even notice our vendors. So being able to see what they captured is truly amazing and we're in awe!! We can't stop looking at them. We are so thrilled with the amount of photos we received, and all the different places we took photos! I'm so glad that Dave & Tom pulled us for photos and had us take as many as we did! We can't even pick just one favorite because we have over 100 that we are absolutely in love with!!! Thank you so, so much, Dave & Tom!! You are the BEST!! Choose Benoit & McCarthy!!!

Gaby and Kamal were such fantastic wedding photographers! They executed on everything exactly the way we wanted it. The photos came out phenomenal and the photographers made us feel so natural taking them. They were truly able to capture the happiness of our special day. The communication was quick and easy, the team went above and beyond to do what I was looking for, even last minute add-ons! Gaby was absolutely phenomenal! We first learned of Benoit & McCarthy at a wedding expo and their team at Nu Image was super helpful, transparent, and warm! Their sample images were stunning and when we went in for a meeting they made us feel at ease and were true professionals. We chose them for our wedding because the value for the product felt like a great buy. Then…..we had Gaby for our engagement photos….she blew me away. We were dodging rain all day, and she was more than accommodating with us on time and location. She was able to scope out a new location, since we had to reschedule, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! She made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and really captured our love and personality in film. We got the photos back super fast, and had so many to choose from! Fast forward to the wedding, she captured all of the small things and big things. She accommodated families, extended families, and friends---and did all of that with swift expertise! The pictures are TIMELESS and her gift is a treasure.

She has a mind filled with creative imagery, an eye for the perfect shot and lighting, and a patient, relaxed demeanor that made her a fun and easy person to work with. Picking a photographer is so nerve wrecking, I must have contacted about 50 different ones. Then I talked to Benoit & McCarthy, they were so easy to talk to, answered all of my questions and had great prices. We did not do an engagement session so I was a little nervous how we would interact with the photographers on the day of, however Gaby and Kamal were amazing!! We talked a multiple days prior to the wedding so I felt more comfortable and then the day of, it was so easy going, it felt like we had been working together for years. Taking the photos was effortless! They went with the flow and we even went to an extra location the day of. They are experts at their job and it shows. Our family and friends loved them, we loved them and I would recommend them over and over again. We just got our photos back and they are AMAZING!! I haven't stopped getting compliments from family and friends!! They helped make our day absolutely perfect!

I would choose Benoit & McCarthy photography over and over again to capture the most amazing day of my life! Gaby and Kamal shot both my brother and sister's weddings and did an absolutely incredible job hence why we decided to go with them when it came time for our big day. David and his assistant made me feel so comfortable throughout my wedding. He arrived and went straight to work and coordinated all of the beautiful pictures in the autumnal Salem scenery. It was magical and I’m so appreciative for their kindness in what was the scariest day of my life, myself being an introvert! Their vision, hard work and pricing is unmatched by other wedding photographers I’ve seen, and you can truly tell they enjoy what they do.

Let me start by saying I am not usually the kind of girl who likes her picture taken. I’m shy, and usually pretty nervous. One of the reasons I chose Gaby is because she made these feelings go away. Gaby was a “preferred vendor” at my venue, Misselwood. After seeing the photos that Gaby, and her equally talented spouse David, were able to create, I had to have her. Gaby did my engagement photos, and after an amazing session at the beautiful Good Harbor Beach (Gaby’s suggestion!) I knew she was my perfect match. When Gaby arrived at my mother’s house on my wedding day she had such a calm and professional vibe. I was able to relax and focus on ME because I knew Gaby had the ever-important wedding pictures totally covered.

I’m not quite sure how I could ever thank Gaby and Kamal for their amazing work and help on our wedding day. They are so fun and easy going but true professionals with an eye for magical moments. My jaw absolutely dropped when we opened the link to our photos. All 900 are truly gorgeous. We loved being able to look through them and re-live the day again and again. And they captured exactly what we wanted without even having to be asked! The guests loved them, we loved them, and we will forever be grateful for their beautiful work. Gaby was wonderful to work with! During our conversations before our wedding she made sure to get a list of important family/friends and anything we requested photographed, even thinking up some ideas that didn't even occur to us. During the wedding she worked with an assistant and even had a drone for some perfect shots with amazing lighting and editing. We are trilled with the results and would recommend them to anyone!

Gaby and her team were better than I could have hoped. Showing up early, staying late, making sure to capture all the important moments, members, and guests. Even come up with on the spot creative locations for the first look and group photos. Having problems narrowing down how many photos to print - so many good ones!

Gaby and Kamal recently shot our wedding and it could not have been a better fit. My husband and I aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera but that didn’t matter for Gaby. She gave us direct instructions in a supportive manner and it made picture taking easy! Gaby was very flexible when I changed plans about timing last minute and spoke with me over the phone for over an hour to make sure she understood exactly what I had in mind. Both Gaby and Kamal were very professional, flexible, and easy to work with. And the pictures are incredible, obsessed!

Breathtaking Photography I'm not sure where to even begin with this review! Gaby and Kamal were AaaaaMAZING! The pictures of our wedding day are something that I will cherish forever; and I have the Benoit and McCarthy Team to THANK for this! From the day my husband and I got engaged my number one prioritiy was choosing an amazing photographer because pictures are what make our memories last forever, and I must say I've always been a picture person. The day I met Gaby I knew I had chosen the perfect person! She is so sweet, warm, kind, and understood everything and anything I wanted with my vision! I had 11 of my nieces and nephews in my big Greek wedding ranging from 16 years old through 1 years old; there is a picture of each and everyone of them! Gaby and Kamal were amazing! My husband and I have never really been comfortable in front of cameras but they made us feel at ease and knew how to deal with our crazy families! They managed to get us all together for every picture we wanted and still have time for extra pictures, and they were able to get our somewhat difficult niece and nephew to smile for pictures, which we can never do! If we ever need more professional pictures in the future we definitely know who we are coming back to 100%!!

Gaby wasn't just a wedding photographer for us; she was the glue that held the whole day together. For everyone that complimented me on my dress, the same amount of people (or more) complimented us on our photographer choice. Not only is Gaby hilarious, which resulted in all our friends and family looking natural and relaxed in the pictures, but she is also so thoughtful and sweet. She makes it her life mission to capture just the right moment at just the right angle, even if it means braving it outside with the whipping wind, laying/sitting on the ground, and racing against a fast-fading sunset. She makes sure to understand what you want, and she does everything in her power to make it happen. Basically, Gaby is magic. And the best part is, the second shooter she brought with her was just as magical. Kamal created the perfect lighting, took phenomenal and unique pictures, and even helped me walk and hold my dress up the entire time we battled the wind outside. He also directed us on where to stand, the best ways to pose, etc. Together, Gaby and Kamal were an unstoppable team, and I couldn't be happier with how smoothly they made everything go. Now, fast forward to one and a half weeks after the wedding: We. Received. All. Of. Our. Pictures. All of them. Just a little over a week. And that is absolutely unheard of with wedding photography. I have friends that had to wait months. I even have friends that still don't have their pictures, and they got married a year ago! I have been a writer for a number of years, but words are failing me now when I try to explain just how perfect the pictures came out. They look like something straight out of a wedding magazine. Weddings can be extremely expensive, and when things start adding up, it feels easy to just say you'll go the cheaper route for some things. Maybe you'd even throw $500 at your friend with the best iPhone and tell them to take pictures for you. But I am telling you right now, don't. When the wedding is over, all you will have is dried up flowers, sore feet, and selfies that are too dark. You need Gaby. You need her because she makes your wedding day last forever. You need her because she proves to you that all of your stress, planning, and love can make something so beautiful that you'll never want to put it down. And I have never been happier with a decision of mine. Well, except maybe marrying my husband. But Gaby is a close second.

My husband and I got married just a few weeks back. We had the pleasure of working with both Gaby and Kamal who were both amazing people and photographers. Gaby and Kamal took our wedding photos and they were absolutely AMAZING!!! Gaby touched base with us beforehand to find out which photos were most important to us, and she managed to capture everything and more. We were hoping for a light snowfall for our NYE wedding, and Gaby was sure to sneak us outside quick just as the rain turned to light flurries to capture the most perfect shot for us. For our wedding at Turner Hill we hired David to capture our special day. I can say with utmost confidence that we made the right decision. He knows the venue SO well and it showed- he knew all the right things to do and ways to get the best pictures in such a unique venue. He unbelievably captured our wedding day through our photographs. We were speechless looking through them all. He got our pictures back to us in an extremely timely fashion, has been easy to work with, and responsive to our questions. He made us feel comfortable through every step of the process. We also had a wonderful engagement session at the Crane Estate with Dave and he has given us memories through all our photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you Dave!!!!!!

Out of all our wedding vendors Gaby was by far our favorite. She captured all the photos we wanted and was super professional! She kept the ball rolling and kept us on track for our wedding timeline! Gaby and Kamal were the best!!!! I first met Gaby during our engagement session, she is so sweet and professional (with a great accent), I knew we were in good hands. I always liked meeting the vendors before the big day, so it was great that I had Gaby for both events. I had Gaby and Kamal for our wedding day and people were blown away. Sean was telling his groomsmen "You guys are going to love Gaby." The minute she showed up, the guys already knew what Sean was talking about. Her and Kamal work so well together, you really don't have to worry about anything. You go where they tell you to go and you will be fine. I got all of our pictures back on the last day of our honeymoon! Coincidence? I think not! It made going home a little easier. The pictures were amazing. They captured everything, and then some! I originally heard about Gaby and Kamal from one of my bridesmaids that used them. Gaby and Kamal were amazing to work with and I am so happy I used them for our wedding. You can tell they love what they do! Anyone that hires Benoit and McCarthy is making a great decision!

We feel extremely fortunate to have had David Benoit photograph our September, 2018 wedding in Gloucester, MA. We are an older couple and had, what many would consider, a non-traditional wedding. David, and his assistant Tom, had an easy-going manner and made us feel very comfortable. Our photos came out amazing. We are grateful for David's artistry and the manner in which he beautifully captured every moment of our special day.

When we first got engaged, we knew we wanted to work with Gaby afree seeing her work. She was prompt to answer questions/concerns leading up to our wedding day. We got married on 10/6/18. Upon arrival, Gaby jumped right into taking pictures. After the ceremony, we took all our formal pictures and Gaby honored all of our requests for certain pictures and so much more! We LOVE all of our pictures and couldn't be happier we chose to work with Gaby on our big day!!

Gaby and Kamal were great! They were efficient and listened to what we wanted. They also offered suggestions based off their knowledge/experience and gave pointers that helped us get some better pictures. They captured so many great moments throughout the day and we are so excited we have their photos to look back on and remember our amazing day. Thank you, Gaby and Kamal!

We recently got married and had Jon from Benoit and McCarthy Photography capture our special day. We couldn't have been happier with the choice that we made! He was very professional and had a lot of helpful tips the day of the wedding. We couldn't believe how great the pictures came out. We are getting so many compliments about how beautiful they all are. His attention to detail is exceptional. We would highly recommend using Jon as a photographer. He was so easy to work with!
