k out, understand, and really listen to the vision we wanted for our visuals. She communicated clearly what we could expect as well as what she needed from us in order to make it happen, and helped us navigate what would work best within our timeframe. In the time leading up to the wedding, we had peace of mind that Julia had caught and clung to our vision, and that she would make it to the day-of prepared with everything needed. Once the wedding day came, Julia was not only on time but early in order to scout the venue and find spots that could work for our shots. During the entire day, from getting ready to the ceremony to the dance party to the send-off at the very end, she was generous with her time and made sure we got shots from every part of our day, to be able to look back on each moment of it.  Julia captured all of the candid moments but also came prepared with ideas of different shots we could do, and directed us in a clear and kind way. It felt natural and comfortable being guided by her for all of our pictures. To top it all off, our wedding day was a dark, cloudy, pouring one, and Julia didn't skip a beat to still make it work. She remained calm and happy the entire time (this meant the world to me as a bride and really helped my own feelings about the rain). She was versatile and quick on her feet to pivot and find alternatives with our weather limitations. All the while we felt really cared for as people, since she was also making sure hair and makeup wouldn't get ruined or that dress and suit wouldn't get wet. The work Julia was able to produce despite the weather and the lighting really showcased her photography skills even more. We couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our wedding day! Not only is her photography work artful, but she is a wonderful person who you will feel is in your corner, which makes a huge difference on one of the biggest days of your life, and you don't always get that with any photographer. Beyond that day, I have also gotten the honor to have Julia capture other moments, and that same feeling remains true - natural and comfortable feeling in front of the lens, kind and clear communication from her end, beautiful shots and visuals as the result. I always feel like I am in the hands of someone who knows what she is doing, and I get to just relax and let her direct the magic. She really has an eye for what is and what could be, and how the two come together. I can't recommend her enough!
