ergreens are decidedly not fluff. They are thoughtful artists, hardcore adventurers, and two of the loveliest, kindest people you could hope to know. The pictures they take are brilliant beyond words; I have photographers in my family and even they were floored by the artistry and quality. If you want awesome photos and want to have an awesome time taking them, hire the Bergreens. You should especially call them if you have an adventurous shoot in mind (they can keep up, promise), if you like to explore amazing places (they know all the good spots) and/or if you just like hanging out with wonderful people (pretty easy to look good in photos when you are enjoying yourself and at ease). Can't say enough good things about Marc and Brenda!

Marc & Brenda have such a nice, kind vibe - they made us so comfortable and all the photo taking felt very natural and progressed super smoothly. They are a joy to be around, and I had so much fun spending time and getting to know them on Engagement “PhotoDate”, our wedding day, and throughout the entire process, which made the whole process even more fun. Their photography is absolutely stunning. They captured such great moments throughout the entire day, including of my toddler nephews, and managed to capture amazing scenery into these photos and moments. They also had such great ideas for photos and were also game to go down to the river (and skip over stones) to take photos after our ceremony. You simply can’t go wrong with hiring Marc and Brenda—they are such a great team, make the process so easy, and deliver a stunning product. Cannot recommend them more.

after seeing their work at our friends’ RMNP wedding because we wanted photographers who would capture our love for each other and for the outdoors in a way that was genuine, beautiful, and not forced. We opted to do an engagement shoot alongside our wedding shoot and the pictures from the alpine lakes we all hiked to still take our breath away. Our wedding happened last year so we had to do some quick change of plans due to COVID. Marc and Brenda were unbelievably accommodating and even offered a wide range of solutions for us. We decided to postpone the reception and they made it so incredibly easy to do so! Our wedding took place on a freezing, rainy peak and they handled it like the outdoor adventurers they are: masks, rain jackets, hiking boots, and cheers when we said I do. I’m so happy to share that we just had our reception last weekend and Marc and Brenda were there to not only capture the love and joy of our close friends and family, but to also celebrate us! I know that the pictures will be just as amazing as the last two rounds and can’t wait to share them with the world. I want to make it clear that, while I like to consider myself a very chill and relaxed person, I also had very specific visions for our engagement, wedding, and reception photos. Marc and Brenda knew exactly what I meant by “candid but still pretty, like a Patagonia model” and were able to translate that into their work with us. We’ve become close with the two of them across the last 2 years, and I truly admire both of them as professionals, artists, and humans. They make sure to prioritize their family just as much as their clients, which helps them be better photographers because they’re constantly “filling their cup” so to speak. (Also, their family trips are sometimes documented on social media and I’ve gotten at least 4 different camping trip ideas from them…) If you are looking for true care, artistry, and professionalism, Marc and Brenda are worth every penny. They book up FAST (especially post-2020) because they’re wanted for such a wide range of projects so be sure to reach out to them with plenty of time to discuss the details! I honestly can’t say enough good things about these two.

hat Marc communicated as his availability. Marc does not return calls and only will respond via email (seems a bit shady). I requested to get on his schedule and for a date that he said would work for him and instructed him to send me the agreement. After I sent that email, I got a response stating he was no longer available, even though it was only 1 day since he said he was available and 2 days before the agreed upon day for the shoot. After this first last minute reschedule, he did supply some alternate days/times and I emailed back stating I would like to secure one. I asked for the agreement to be sent and to actually be added to their schedule to avoid the previous last minute change. He did indicate that I was on the schedule now and to finalize everything I would need to sign the agreement linked to the email. In that email, he also informed me that it would be his wife taking the pictures, not Marc which was a bit surprising but I decided, OK since this is time sensitive and I assume she is qualified. After reviewing the agreement I had several questions I wanted to ask prior to making a payment and asked to speak on the phone to avoid multiple emails again. I left a VM and sent an email stating this as I wanted to make the payment ASAP. After waiting multiple days for a phone call back I finally got an email stating that neither one of them can do the photo shoot now and suggested I find someone else stating they are too busy. Is it that they did not want to deal with my questions and would of had to actually talk to me on phone? My guess is that it was not enough money for them even though they are the ones who set the price. It would have been nice to let me know that upfront so I did not waste multiple weeks assuming I had a photographer for this time sensitive shoot. What would have happened if I had signed the agreement and put my money down only to find out at the last minute they are too busy? Terrible customer experience and they apparently will not speak to you on the phone to discuss details or answer questions. I would avoid Bergreen Photography unless you want to deal with them only via email, have a high dollar shoot, have no questions, and are prepared to deal with multiple reschedules at the last minute.

apher (not to mention two). I knew I wanted Marc and Brenda for my own wedding. They are both super personable and instantly feel like old friends. They want to make sure that they know you before the wedding so that they can make you feel at ease on the big day. We ended up Skyping with them several times before the wedding to go over things and get to know them. This is important when it comes to wedding photography because I was worried that it would feel awkward having a bunch of photos taken, but Marc managed to blend into the background. Our wedding was scheduled for June of 2020 up in the sequoias and in the months leading up to the wedding date there was a ton of uncertainty surrounding whether or not we could have our wedding. Marc and Brenda were amazing. They were very flexible and reassuring the entire time. I was impressed by how easy they made the uncertainty for us, since we didn't have any answers. We ended up having a small 10 person wedding. The Bergreens worked with us and Marc photographed the event. He instantly blended in with the family, while still taking incredible photos. Marc was able to capture such intimate, candid, authentic photos because we were not posing for pictures. He just captured the moments as they happened naturally. This got rid of all of the awkwardness because it was not staged and I didn't feel like I was an actor. I absolutely love the photos that resulted. They are gorgeous and perfectly captured the emotion, beauty, and joy of our day. Marc did an amazing job of finding beautiful locations to capture Giant Sequoias, stunning mountain vistas, and meadow wildflowers. He took incredible nature shots that happened to also have us highlighted in them. He went above and beyond to scout out areas ahead of time and even did a sunrise photo shoot with us on top of a mountain. They also got all of the photos back to us fast. I mean in under two weeks fast. I can't really express how awesome the Bergreens are and I wholeheartedly recommend them for your wedding. P.S. My father-in-law wants to know when he can hang out with Marc again.

renda trekked up to Shrine Ridge with us for an amazing sunset engagement shoot AND turned some pretty uncooperative wedding day weather into absolutely stunning photos! They helped make sure we made time for the photos we'd said we wanted but were super flexible with some pretty major game time changes on our wedding day. You'd be hard pressed to find a duo that works so well together and having multiple points of view on every moment truly captured the emotion & energy of the day. We'd stressed that we really loved candid shots of family and friends at the wedding and dance party and they exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend!!

s all over, other than the marriage, the memories are what you keep. Photography is a big part of cherishing those memories. Before meeting them on our wedding day, they had kept good contact with us through e-mail, phone, and Skype throughout the year. They even sent us a beautiful care package for out wedding! Our experience was all together adventurous, memorable, and spiritual. We met early in the morning at Sequoia the day of our wedding just before sunrise. Standing on this peak looking over the distant mountains and misty valley below as sunlight broke across the landscape was magical, and it’s a moment you only get once. Marc and Brenda knew exactly where and when they could capture the best shots. It was everything and more than we wanted and envisioned. Marc and Brenda were wonderful throughout the morning shoot, even sharing their incredible knowledge about the park! They moved around and took pictures from every angle imaginable; they were humorous and good conversationalists as well as minimal with posing instructions. They made us feel at ease and comfortable; we found ourselves cracking jokes, dancing, and making up silly vows while posing. While we were having fun, Marc and Brenda took care of the rest. Quite the opposite from what many may dread from a photo shoot, we felt refreshed, invigorated and already married! We still talk about this as a positive springboard into our actual wedding day. The photographs Marc and Brenda took of the ceremony and reception were just as stunning as the pictures they took on Moro rock. At one point, Marc was up in a tree off to the side getting a great bird’s eye view of the reception. Brenda and Marc excel at catching spontaneous moments when everyone is just having fun and being themselves. We did one more photo session in Yosemite. Again, team Bergreen was fantastic! They knew the area, where to get the best photos, and how to get there with minimal hassle. In summation working with Bergreen we got more than just beautiful photos. We got those moments, the hikes, the sunrise at Moro Rock, kissing inside the trunk of a Sequoia tree with dogwoods flowers blooming nearby, dancing under the sunbeams on a hiking trail, climbing atop boulders and tree trunks, strapping on hiking boots with our wedding clothes on, walking through the crowds at Glacier point, testing our nerves at the very edge of Taft point, and looking across all the beauty and majesty of these national parks in breathless wonder. We got an adventure that infused our wedding day with joy, beauty, nature, and love; we can’t recommend them enough!! Thank you Marc and Brenda for all the memories, we’ll keep them for a lifetime.

me getting to know exactly what we wanted from our engagement photos and wedding photos, and then they really followed through! We were really attached to having our engagement photos involve mountain biking, and after two snow storms thwarted our plans in Colorado they came all the way to Moab with us to get the most epic shots ever! We were both not excited about posing for photos, and they did a wonderful job getting shots of the two of us without us ever feeling awkward and fake. The photos really demonstrated this. All of our favorites were the moments they caught while we were just being us (giggling, crying, embracing and dancing!!). Having two of them there made a huge difference, getting two vantage points of those big moments is so crucial, it cannot be overstated how much that can make a difference to really capture the full mood. They were lightning fast at getting images back to us, in fact, we were at the airport waiting to depart for our honeymoon just one week later when we got the online gallery, what a way to set out on that journey! I admit that I was skeptical about the value of the wedding album that comes with their package, but now that I have it, I am SO GLAD I got it. Professional quality and expert page lay outs. I couldn't be happier (actually I could, if I had sprung for the larger book)! We ended up blowing our original budget to go with Bergreen Photography because we loved them and their style of photography so much and I can say that I will never regret that decision. At the end of the day, the photos are truly the thing you have to keep those memories alive...what you ate that day....not so much.

tting the natural beauty of pictures shine through. After seeing their work at a wedding expo in Denver, we knew they would be perfect for capturing our special day. During the initial conversation to discuss our engagement photos they had such wonderful ideas and picked the perfect location for us. Courtney and I had just moved to Colorado and we wanted to show off how beautiful our new home was and our engagement shoot at Mount Evans did not disappoint. We had so many of our friends and family comment that our photos were the most amazing they had ever seen. I distinctly remember one photo in particular; a recreation of me getting down on one knee on a rock that jutted out from the mountain, over 14,000+ feet in the air) - where Mark traversed a few hundred feet of rocks to capture one of my all-time favorite photos. This was just one example of the lengths that the Bergreen's were willing to go to capture our perfect memories. Beyond just their amazing eye for photography, Marc and Brenda were so nice and wonderful to work with. They always incorporated our requests and suggestions and made the entire experience a dream come true! From Mount Evans to Rocky Mountain National Park to Estes Park, we could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Marc and Brenda to anyone and everyone we can!

hankful we came across this team for our Yosemite National Park elopement! As our only "guests", they made the day incredibly fun, yet made sure we had the intimate elopement vibe we were going for. They are so knowledgeable and passionate about the parks and their process. We loved having two shooters to provide different perspectives. Nearly a year later and we still hear from family and friends how blown away they are by our photos. I can't wait to have another reason to meet them out for a day of exploring and shooting. y and fun. It started with meeting them via Face Time since my wife and I were living in New Orleans at the time. Once we met them, we knew they would be great to work with and, we were so right. Marc and Brenda made the process so easy, they really understood what we wanted and worked with our crazy travel schedule and found us the best spot for both our photo date and the first look the day of our wedding. Their slogan about loving adventurously is 100% true, they are willing do what ever it takes to make your day wonderful. The photos captured our wedding day so well, and yet it felt like there were invisible during the reception and ceremony. It goes beyond the photos though with the Bergreen's, to me it always felt like we had known them a long time, and that made the photos even better. After the wedding it does not stop either, the way they put the album together is great and really felt like it told the story of our wedding and our lives together. I could go on and on about the quality of their photos but really it is so much more. The Bergreen's captured our wedding but also captured who we were. I would recommend them to everyone they were truly great.

We have never had professional photos taken and they made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. The turn around for our engagement pictures was quick and they were perfect. We were married at Piney River Ranch and we really wanted our pictures to capture the beauty of the surroundings. They certainly did this and more. They took so many pictures and we have great variations of close ups as well as pictures that capture the beauty of the environment. They really listened to our vision and made sure to give us exactly what we wanted. got married in Yosemite and wanted photographers who were specifically experienced in the park. I found a few that looked okay, but I wasn't sold. The moment I came across Bergreen I knew they were the ones! As soon as we met them it felt like hanging out with old friends! They are relaxed, easy going, and so accommodating! They truly made this all about us from the get go. They worked with us to make sure we had the package that fit us the best, even if it was slightly outside the box! The photo date (engagement session) was a blast! They let us choose the locale we wanted and they were totally game to go wherever we wanted! We went to Point Reyes Seashore and it just so happens they are experienced there as well and knew all the best spots. They went above and beyond meeting us 2 days before our wedding in Yosemite Valley to take our wedding portraits so that we didn't have to worry about that on our wedding day. Everytime I look at our photos I am taken right back to that magical day. It could not have been captured better and I will cherish these photos forever. zing landscapes at Yosemite. They are both extremely talented photographers! Not only that, but they are also both very kind and cool people and made the photography experience very laid back and fun. Leading up to the event, they did a great job staying connected and getting the details of what we were looking for. They were extremely responsive to emails/questions and very organized in planning the day so we would get all the pictures we wanted. We had a reception about 3 days after the wedding and asked if it would be possible to have a few pictures we could display at the reception. They turned around almost 80 extremely high quality pictures for us in 2 days!! It made our reception so much more fun to be able to relive the ceremony through the great photograph. We could not have asked for more talented photographers, or for more awesome people to have spent the day with! Very highly recommended!

wanted to take photos within Rocky Mountain National Park in the middle of winter and they didn't hesitate to make that happen! They put the most amazing wedding album together as well. We have received so many complements on it! We are so thankful to have had them capture our big day and we now have the most spectacular photos that will last a lifetime!

All of our family and friends were blown away by the quality, creativity, and fairytale quality of the images (not to mention the sheer quantity). The photos are a really balanced mix of the small details that made our wedding personal (e.g. cake, rings, centerpieces), the people we love, and the gorgeous outdoor setting that we really wanted to incorporate. They even had a brief running slideshow on a tablet at one of our tables during dinner of the photos they had just taken hours before (so cool! Our guests were thrilled!). The photobook we received recently is one of our most treasured keepsakes and will help us relive the magic every time we look at it. back on to remember your special day. Choosing Marc and Brenda was, without a doubt, the best wedding investment we made! The first time my husband Tim and I met the Bergreens was at Starbucks and we chatted over a cup of coffee. It was a casual setting and not stuffy at all; and that’s just the way we like things! They made us feel comfortable from the get-go. Tim feels pretty awkward in any picture-taking event, so it was very important to have someone photographing us without adding any stress. Our engagement photo-date in Sequoia National Park was such a fun day! Marc and Brenda did give us some direction, but basically let us do our own thing. They have a keen eye and were able to capture moments that I would have completely overlooked. The time between our engagement photo-date and wedding day, they kept in touch with us and if we had any questions, they got back to us in a very timely manner. The day of the wedding went by so quick; most of my memories are from the pictures that were taken. I cherish every single candid snapshot Marc and Brenda gave to us. One last thing that I highly enjoyed was all the little gifts they sent us; like the wedding “emergency kit,” the notebook, and even the wrapping our photo album came in. They pay attention to the details, and it makes things that much more magical. They are the epitome of professionalism and are great people in general! We cannot thank Marc and Brenda enough!

My husband and I were very nervous about the engagement shoot (neither of us enjoy being photographed) but within minutes with Marc & Brenda, we were totally at ease and actually ended up having a great time! They also really do live up to their "Love Adventurously" motto and were more than happy to go to any of our off the beaten path locations. Not only that, but they had taken the time to scout the locations prior to our shoots to make sure to get the best shots. When they heard that my husband was going surfing the morning of our wedding, they showed up bright and early to tag along. Brenda was waste deep in the freezing water (September, north of Santa Cruz= no joke.) to capture some amazing photos! We also received a photo book as a part of our package. Marc & Brenda put together dozens of spreads for us to review, within weeks of our wedding. I was extremely impressed by how quickly they had turned around the photos. Other friends of mine have had nightmare stories of getting their wedding photos. Not with Marc & Brenda. Overall, we were impressed and are happy with our beautiful photographs!

he second we sat down and had a conversation with them. Not only do they take AMAZING photos but they make you feel like friends not another customer and we loved that about them. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like you are getting the best you can get. At our photo date they brought us a marriage survival kit. It had champagne and chocolate and massage oil and candles, and they told us to relax and enjoy it while they got set up! After the wedding was done my husband and I got to work with them to put together our wedding album. The quality of the wedding album is by far nothing I've ever scene! And just when you think the fun surprises stop, Marc and Brenda throw in their crafty touch! Our wedding pictures were sent to us on a handmade flash drive in a handmade little bag with charms on it, we were blown away. We highly recommend Bergreen Photography to be your photographers for any event you have coming up. You will not be let down by their quality of work. Marc and Brenda were the best part of our wedding experience and we will always cherish our new friendship and work experience with them:)

Having both of them working on the day of the wedding was also a plus, because there were many shots during the ceremony one photographer working on his own would have missed. The actual quality of the pictures are quite good, and a handful of the pictures are just magical. Now we have beautiful pictures of our wedding to share with family and friends, and Brenda is doing a very artful job of designing layouts for our wedding album. For the service they provide, their weddign package was a great deal. Would definitely hire them again!
