I had an Indian wedding with traditional Indian rituals and I was so impressed with Berit's true interest in getting to know my culture and rituals on her own initiative so that she could do the best job possible. She reached out to me and asked me to send her information about our rituals, what they meant and what were important aspects to be captured photographically. Berit met with my husband and I to plan out our wedding day and photo sessions in so much detail that it actually helped me plan the rest of my wedding day timeline. She was by far the most professional vendor at my wedding and has been truly amazing to work with.

Berit has such an amazing talent in finding such beautiful shots and capturing amazing candid moments. Her work is truly art! She made our photo sessions so comfortable and so fun that we barely noticed the cameras. Berit and her partner Jason were an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day. My husband, Jeff, and his groomsmen had nothing but great things to say about Jason. Jeff loved the fact that Jason took time to shoot photos of his special wedding car that was such an important part of our wedding. I'll also never forget how calming Berit was when we were taking our wedding photos and the strap of my wedding dress broke off. She reassured me throughout the whole thing that everything would be ok and that our photos would still be perfect. And of course they were! You can't even tell that my dress was broken in our photos. I'm so thankful for her optimism and calmness in that moment because you can imagine the frustration and anxiety going through a bride's mind in a moment like that. Stacey, Berit's Administrative Manager, was also such an amazing and professional person to work with. We've never actually met as all our correspondences have been via e-mail, but she played a huge role in our wedding plans. I really felt like we all got to know each other very well throughout this whole process. Stacey was so thorough with her emails and explanations, that made everything so much easier. We can't wait for more of our friends and family to start getting married so we can recommend Berit and her team's amazing work! From the very first moment we selected Berit to be our photographer, we knew immediately that we made the right decision. Berit is an incredibly talented photographer first of all. Her vision and photography is far better than anyone else in the area. How would you describe Berit's work and your experience working with her to friends and family? Berit has done already 5 family members weddings- she is the absolute best! My bridesmaids have already asked about getting Berit for their upcoming nuptials too! She is accomodating, understanding, patient but knows when to speak up to get the job done! From the moment that my husband and I met Berit we knew that she would be our photographer. y; Berit seemed more like a friend then our wedding photographer. She was available 24/7 when I had questions or concerns and shared very valuable advice throughout the entire process. Berit had amazing ideas and options to make our day go smoothly and include everything we wanted and more. Her presence at my home while the bridesmaids and I were getting ready was excited and electric and her energy is contagious. She is both patient and direct which made for a casual yet organized day. I am somewhat uncomfortable being in front of the camera, but both Berit and Carly made our wedding day so great and comfortable and it totally showed in their photos. I think Berit is different from other vendors out there because as I said above, Berit felt like a friend who knew what she was doing with the camera more than a stranger. She came VERY highly recommended by my cousin and I am SO thrilled she was available on 09/17/16. She knew all of my family members and the wedding party by name and was able to invoke energy, romance, order, and fun with ease. Her and Carly were both invisible yet encouraging all day long. e at the time couldn't make the first meeting and she was happy to grab a coffee with him about a month out from the wedding just so he could meet her so he felt better on the wedding day. It was raining during our wedding :( but Berit was able to capture the beauty of the day regardless. Her second shooter, Barb was also wonderful, as well as her other assistant. Everyone knows that taking a bunch of photographs can be stressful for anyone involved--Berit and her team helped ease that stress and ran around in the rain capturing our day flawlessly. o go back and look at the photos. Each time I see something new which keeps one of the most special days of my life thus far fresh in my mind. The entire process of collaborating with her has been wonderful. We knew from the start that we would celebrate our day in a very different way and Berit was on board from the beginning. From photographing a bride who chose to wear black, to photographing us in Riverside Park as dogs and bikers whizzed by, she was unabashedly enthusiastic to create a collection of images that represented our love for each other, our families, and New York City.
