Cannot recommend Berlyn and her team more highly. Our day and planning process was truly seamless. She made our vision for design come to life and executed with open communication ...
to ensure we felt consistently supported throughout our 18 month planning timeline. Friends and family on wedding day raved about her professionalism, detail oriented nature, and many asked if they could hire her for events!
If you are newly engaged and looking to build a vendor team that feels like family, Berlyn events is the perfect planning and coordination service to book. Beginning our journey wi...
th Berlyn was so easy and efficient because she provides a lot of package options to fit your needs. My husband and I chose consultation services with 10 hours of planning services as well as day of coordination. Berlyn stood out to us from the beginning because it was important to her to have both my husband and myself on every call, email, and meeting. Many other planning services had no interest in talking to my husband about his desires and wishes for our wedding day. It was clear that Berlyn was different from the rest and understands the impact of this day on both partners.
Throughout our time working with Berlyn she was professional, communicative, and flexible. She worked around my needs as a client to find the best form of communication which included texting, voice memos, and quick phone calls to alleviate stress and the overwhelming feeling I often felt. She was willing to talk out problems and help me find solutions that were not her responsibility because we were in it together. She not only exceeded our expectations for what a coordinator could provide, but often went above and beyond what our package outlined. She helped me verbalize my design wishes and put them into visual elements for me to see, tweak, and perfect together. It helped us enjoy the weeks leading up to our day more than we would have otherwise.
The weekend of the wedding ran like a well oiled machine. Everyone in our bridal party and family was emailed with itinerary and important information. My mom and aunt both mentioned wishing they could have someone like Berlyn run their lives all the time. She was military grade, her team was on top of it, my husband and I worried about NOTHING except enjoying each other and our guests.
I owe Berlyn my life, my sanity, and my entire heart. Our day was perfect because of her and her expertise. If you want to know you are in good hands, there is no one else I would trust with something as important as this. I know you will love her as much as we do!
Planning a wedding as two full-time graduate students meant that we were not working with a huge excess of time, energy, or finances. We knew we couldn't do the process alone, but ...
before we met Berlyn, we didn't even really know what we needed. All we had was an elaborate dream of what our day might look like, and no sense of the path to take to get there. But when we met with Berlyn for the first time, and we described our vision for our wedding, she was immediately on board—with a detailed map of the path, practical advice on how to forge through the woods where no set path existed yet, and all the enthusiasm to buoy us on our journey. It was a complex vision: 250 invited guests, 20 ceremony participants, vegan/vegetarian/allergy-friendly catering, accessible, sober, and story-forward. Berlyn did not bat an eye at any of it, but rather took on all of it with verve and full support. Especially for queer and trans couples looking for a 100% affirming planner who will make sure your entire vendor team is affirming as well, I highly recommend Berlyn. She fought for us, laughed with us, cried with us, was honest with us, and, without a doubt, she did the damn thing. On our wedding day, Berlyn and her day-of team made sure that everything was seamless and painless behind the scenes, so that we felt nothing but joy and love in the foreground. Our wedding day was absolutely everything we envisioned, because of an incredible vendor team and our loving and enthusiastic family and friends, and we know it all went off so splendidly because Berlyn was steering the ship. Book her. You will not regret it.
If you're a type A person, you 100% need to read this. Everyone else does as well... hah!

ave been any different? YOU NEED BERLYN. When I tell you that I did not have ONE WORRY on my wedding day, I'm not kidding you. Of course she was incredible up to the day of as well with months of assiting us and organizing everything in spreadsheets and surveys, but the day of - I was able to breathe and take every single second in all because of her. Everyone warned me - the day will fly by... and when I tell you Berlyn made it feel like time slowed down because of her organization, I mean it.
So for those of you that think you can do it on your own - I'm sure you can. But don't. It's a huge day. Your entire experience will benefit from having Berlyn by your side! You're amazing!
I would have paid triple. Having Berlyn Events in my corner was invaluable. Now that we're here, I simply cannot imagine having anyone else by my side throughout the process. Sure,...
you know the wedding day should be stress free, but it's easy to forget all the weeks/months leading up to your wedding should be enjoyable too. Working with Berlyn allowed us to actually live our lives while planning a wedding, not the other way around.
We had a particularly challenging family dynamic. Berlyn approached it with compassion, delicacy, and understanding. She took care of communicating the details to our vendors, avoiding potentially awkward conversations and ensuring we didn't have to navigate those (already painful) conversations alone. She asked questions we never even thought to ask, taking the time to explain why they were important and the impact they could have on our plans. It's impossible to convey exactly how much "lighter" her involvement made us feel.
10/10. Five Stars. Book her, it will be the best investment you make!
We’re in the beginning stages of planning our wedding, and our conversation with Berlyn was a breath of fresh air. Our initial meeting was scheduled for about an hour- but it ended...
up going about an hour and a half. Berlyn took the time to initially get to know us as individuals- and then as a couple- offering up questions we hadn’t ever thought to ask each other and suggestions that would have never crossed our minds. By the time we were halfway into our video call, it felt less like a meeting and more like a conversation with an extremely organized and thoughtful friend. Berlyn’s package offerings can be catered to a couple’s needs- the way she described it was either her steering our limo or her giving step by step guidance on a road trip from the passenger seat- both options sound great depending on your needs! Berlyn is sweet, caring, thoughtful, prompt and professional- and any couple who has her on their side will be set for a beautiful day.
Berlyn is the most professional person I have ever met. Berlyn was extremely attentive in listening to my every detail and executing it to make it happen. She is wonderful at commu...
nication; prompt to answer texts/emails. She took the time to understand my vision to fulfill what I wanted. That said, she gives helpful advice in your best interest. . My wedding day was absolutely perfect; a dream come true. My fiance Joe and I are forever grateful to have had her on our special day. Berlyn not only was our wedding coordinator, but became a true friend.
We are so thankful Berlyn came into our lives not only as professional, but as a person. Berlyn made us feel welcome right from the beginning and eased any nervousness or stress w...
e had about our wedding. We hired her for her wedding management services since we really needed help with pulling everything together and just wanted to enjoy our day. Berlyn helped us conceptualize the whole event from start to finish including a comprehensive timeline. Her attention to detail, I cannot stress this enough, is IMPECCABLE. I am an extremely organized person, but then I met Berlyn and understood what organized really means (I'm talking spreadsheets, tracking documents, and "due dates" for homework that kept us on task). This was extremely helpful and allowed us time to breathe and relax in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
Then... the height of COVID-19 hit and eventually led us to postpone our wedding... we were so close to the date, about a month out! Berlyn was there with us every step of the way navigating our contracts, logistics, re-scheduling negotiations (thank goodness for her expertise and connections in this industry), as well as checking in with us to see how we were feeling. It was one less thing we had to worry about during all the changes (work, life, and wedding!) and navigating our emotions. Berlyn was invaluable during this time and as a result we had an extremely positive experience despite the circumstances. She was the first person (and vendor) to reach out to us weeks before letting us know about how COVID-19 might impact our wedding (ie: shipping time for decor, dresses, etc...). She kept in constant contact with us via email, phone, and even Zoom. On our what would have been our original wedding day she even stopped by our house (in a mask and social distancing of course!) to drop off a beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, and other treats! It made us feel so special and was such a sweet surprise!
Berlyn is THE BEST at what she does and is the best investment you can make for your wedding. We cannot wait to celebrate with her next year!
TL;DR- Hiring Berlyn is hands down the best thing you can do when planning your wedding. You will not be sorry having her on your side. I say this with every fiber of my being.

erlyn was by far the best thing about the whole wedding planning experience. She is compassionate, funny, and most importantly, driven. She kept my partner and I on track and her organization and communication skills are second to none. We would have been lost in the process and overwhelmed without her. The care she puts into her work shows up in every communication you have with her. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry and if you think you have everything figured out chances are you've missed something. Thankfully, Berlyn is there to point it out and offer suggestions. I seriously cannot recommend her services enough, she will be the best investment you make HANDS DOWN.
To prove my point further, our wedding was affected by COVID-19. Berlyn stepped up and communicated with all our vendors and the venue to get our big day rescheduled. She recognized that we were not in an emotional position to redo everything after planning for the past 2+ years and took it upon herself to ease our burden. If that doesn't say something about what kind of person she is I don't know what can.
I could spend the next 2,000+ characters going on and on about how amazing she is and how much of a joy it was to work with her. If you do anything for your wedding hire Berlyn. It will be by far the best investment you make and it will actually make the wedding planning process enjoyable!

w our event would be impacted and helped us make the necessary changes but still keep our vision alive. Our wedding day ran so smoothly. It was everything we could have hoped for.
There are so many amazing things that I could say about Berlyn. She was by far the best decision that we made for our wedding. She handled so many details that I am not sure I coul...
d have handled on my own, and handled them flawlessly. Any stress or apprehension I would have felt throughout the planning process and on the day itself, was nonexistent thanks to her professionalism and attention to detail. She is truly spectacular.
We chose Berlyn for our recent wedding (Nov 16, 2019) because we were very impressed with her in our first meeting, her presentation and her planning skills were on display right f...
rom the beginning.
Starting from months out, helping us get everything in order so that the stress of planning a wedding would be minimized (and believe me, she absolutely helped minimize the stress), continuing to weeks out, where she took over communication with our vendors to make sure all of our expectations were met or exceeded, all the way to the day of, she was there with us every step of the way, making everything better, easier, and stress free.
During the day of, she was able to keep any slip ups to an absolute minimum (The only thing that wasn't 100% perfect, was because of a minor VENUE slip-up, and she took care of it almost before we could even notice it). I could go on and on about how much we valued her for our most important day, but I'll break it down in a TL:DR to make it easier.
Planning: 10/10
Friendliness: 10/10
Assertiveness: 10/10
Attention to detail: 10/10
Value for price: 10/10
I cannot, simply and absolutely cannot recommend Berlyn enough for the happiest event of your life. You will not be disappointed, and she will make it so much easier for you. She'll have your back 100% of the way and you won't have to worry about a thing.
I am a wedding photographer with Exact Moments Photograhy and had a chance to work with Berlyn last year in April. This was my 1st time working with her and I am so impressed how o...
rganized she was! She arranged a phone call before the wedding, instead of an email, to talk about the details in person. On wedding day, she helped me with detail shoots while making sure everything was running smoothly. It was a rainy day so they had to move to ceremony inside, and she changed everything so smoothly. She also had snack bags for vendors- how sweet! I can't imagine the care her clients receive if she is showing this much support to their vendors. I can't recommend her enough and hope I can workwith her again:)
Absolutely Amazing!! I am the grooms mother and Berlyn kept everything running so smooth from organizing the vendors right down to corralling the wedding party. So very efficient...
. The day ran effortlessly and it was all thanks to Berlyn and her crew. I am also 100% hands down convinced this day would not have been as special for our kids or for us if she hadn't been involved. I was able to relax and genuinely enjoy the day. This was a large wedding and every detail was considered and tended to.
Berlyn is also such a sweet, genuine, caring person. She was effortlessly able to make everyone involved feel calm and relaxed. No kidding folks, she is a gem. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING!!! I wish I could give you a dozen more stars. You deserve every one!!

n with, but I'm now sure it was the single best investment I made for my wedding. My venue was in my husband's hometown near Columbus, OH and we live near Washington, DC, so that was my biggest challenge right off the bat, along with our families/attendees being incredibly diverse culturally.
I thought I could do it all myself, but found Berlyn in the nick of time (basically when I finally admitted that I was in over my head!). From our first meeting, she was the consummate professional: on time, prepared, and armed to the teeth with amazing tools to keep us organized and on track. Throughout the process, she never let one thing slip through the cracks, and was a sounding board whenever family drama threatened to rear its ugly head. She's sweet but firm, and really will *not* put up with any foolishness when it comes to your day and executing details. She also worked very well with all of my vendors and quickly adjusted when the weather didn't cooperate.
I really felt as though I had a strong advocate in my corner every step of the way. It's simply impossible to quantify just how much weight she took off my shoulders - I would have been a nervous wreck otherwise! Her involvement allowed me to enjoy my sweet day. Thank you, Berlyn!
We hired Berlyn to do full wedding planning over a year out from our date. She was extraordinarily knowledgeable about various services and options in the wedding industry and has ...
a strong working relationship with a wide array of vendors. Berlyn was a great motivator when we needed it and kept us on track with task timelines customized to our wedding. She also has a very evident creative eye and was excellent at drafting up ideas and visions of our venue, helping me visualize the big day throughout the wedding planning process. As a bride that dreads planning and decisions, Berlyn was indispensable with her expertise; I actually enjoyed the planning process considerably more knowing I had her on my team. I would fully recommend Berlyn to any couple looking to make their wedding planning less stressful.

process easier. She was very comfortable with the changes we made with a no problem attitude. I hope Berlyn had just as much fun working with us as we had working with her. HAVE BERLYN ON YOUR TEAM. DO IT! DO IT NOW!
You know you are getting a superb coordinator when she replied to your email that you sent at 12am six hours later at 6am in the morning. From the very first meeting with Berlyn at...
a local coffee shop in Cbus, to tearing down that last bit of decoration after a crazy night of wedding, she has been an absolute delight to work with. She is very professional, experienced and flexible when it comes to wedding planning and coordination. Her attention to detail is out of this world, and there is nothing Berlyn can't handle, especially for events like this where anything can happen despite all the planning. My husband and I were able to let our hair down (literally for me) during our big day and actually connect with our friends and family whom we have not seen for a while. Having a coordinator during a wedding is a must for any weddings and Berlyn is definitely a top-tier choice that eveyone should be clammering for.
Berlyn, if you see this, just know that we are happy to have you as our coordinator, but more importantly, as a friend now. We will definitely be your walking advertisement for anyone who is getting married. And we want Mr Berlyn's tee shirt.
Berlyn was our lead coordinator working directly with our event planner. We met her on the day of the rehearsal, not sure who was going to be running our big day. I honestly can't ...
say enough about how amazing she was. We had a really large wedding party and she took charge and got everyone in and out of rehearsal in 35 minutes. She catered to everyone's needs, seriously everyone. On the day of the wedding, I would look around and just see her flying about trying to do whatever it took to get things right and make it perfect. I never once worried on my wedding day because I would turn around and Berlyn would be there with a drink, a suggestion, or trying to bustle my broken dress. Don't think any further, just book her. You won't be disappointed!

I am a photographer that has recently worked with Berlyn. She was a sweetheart and absolutely amazing to work with. I have no one on my preferred planners list because all the ones...
I’ve experienced were too controlling or just plain mean. She understands when to take charge and when to let the day progress naturally without stepping on the other vendors toes. She also brought snacks for the other vendors. That’s so thoughtful because the photographers only eat in the morning at home and at the reception. Having something to munch on really keeps us going. I know all the other vendors loved her too. I’d recommend her to any bride and I want her for my wedding in the future! She’s the best! You won’t regret it!

o help me bring it across the finish line. Berlyn was absolutely wonderful from the moment she joined the wedding team! I could not have pulled off this wedding without her! She is organized, smart, and thinks five steps ahead! She has a lovely sense of humor but also makes sure that everything gets done. On the day of my wedding, all I had to worry about was walking down the aisle. I promise if you use Berlyn, you will not regret it (in fact, you will thank your lucky stars that you found her)!
I can not speak highly enough of Berlyn! She was the day of coordinator for a recent wedding of mine (I'm a photographer) and she truly made the day run perfectly smooth! From our ...
very first phone call to discuss wedding day timeline details to the end of the wedding night when she helped me call an Uber, she was such a joy to work with! She is beyond organized, communicative, extremely thoughtful, and goes above and beyond in every possible way! She gave the sweetest personalized gifts to the bride and groom, hand crafted a vow book for them, brought extra styling details to incorporate throughout the day and provided all the vendors with little care packages to keep us energized and on schedule. I only wish she could be a part of ALL my weddings!
Berlyn is always professional and personable. My wedding day went off without a hitch because of her. There was an issue with my caterer and Berlyn took care of it quickly and got ...

ctations! She gifted us hand painted moleskines with the design of our invites for our vows, and made customized yeti tumblers with our names, wedding date, and a note of what we love most about each other! These are small touches that we will cherish for years to come! Berlyn made planning for us and our parents a breeze (and we all live in different cities), and we will definitely recommend our friends and family to her!

ou information in a timely manner and make themselves available for questions without being overbearing. Berlyn advocates tirelessly for her couples while educating them on industry standards, allowing us as caterers to do our job, and thereby delivering the best possible product to our clients. Berlyn is incredibly creative, highly organized, and honest. We've worked together for two years, and our events are always a work of art. She comes prepared for anything, the I's are always dotted and T's are always crossed, but most of all, she is always a pleasure. I recommend her without reservation.

for my mom and I who did not have a lot of money to spend. Berlyn was honest with us when it came to prioritizing, offering advice on how to get the best bang for our buck.
Working with Berlyn was super convenient for a bride with a busy and varied schedule. We were able to work together and keep each other up to date without the obligation of multiple face to face meetings, though she was always available if needed. She provided sheets to help us stay ahead in the planning process, enabling us to think of things way in advance.
Friends and family still talk about how phenomenal Berlyn was during the wedding. She was out and about solving problem unbeknownst to me throughout the day. I was never stressed or worried. She checked in with me often, but still gave my party, husband and I the space we needed. The entire wedding party commented on her giving simple notes and advice before the ceremony. She directed firmly, but respectfully. She was playful and professional.
Many thanks to Berlyn again from the Haskin family! Thank you for being there for us on the best day of our lives.

She was so organized and on top of every little detail which was a huge relief for me considering I don't have any family instate to help me with all of these decisions. She coordinated everything, from getting my dress to Vegas carefully, getting my family members from Washington to Vegas, getting my Husband and I plus all our friends from Ohio to Vegas... It wasn't an easy job and I couldn't be more grateful she was there to help me. From the moment we stepped onto that plane headed to Las Vegas I was so relaxed and so happy. Thank you, Berlyn! You made all of this possible.
