nly does Bernie take beautiful pictures, but he is professional and courteous and his staff is as well. Every time I called the studio, they were always polite and helpful. We all know wedding photography is expensive, but with a lot of other studios, you don't really get much for what you pay. My husband and I thought the packages Bernie's studio offered were second to none--a great value for what you spend...did I mention that the pictures are amazing? Seriously, if you need a photographer--not even just for weddings, you have found one. Bernie does great work. You will not be disappointed.

Our photographer-I really really wish I could remember his name- was FANTASTIC!! Worked with the whole wedding party so well, joking, having a great time, and totally taking our input of what photos we wanted but knowing how to take them and when to give suggestions and how to do different poses. We got our 3 discs- 2000 photos!- in exactly one month, with all the rights to print and upload the photos. I could not be more happy with our choice!

The prices were comparable to other photographers and way less than some others. The pictures were high quality and the photographer was nice. The photographer was a little pushy and got in the way of the guests seeing the cake cutting though. Part of it was I didn't have much direction as to what pictures I wanted taken so she went for all the standard shots and some fun ones she knew of. The pictures after the ceremony also took longer than I expected (around an hour) but I was later told that's typical. Overall I would recommend them. It's probably a good idea to have the shots you want planned out and if the session goes on too long or you don't want to do a shot the photographer suggests make sure you let them know and you will get what you want.

our engagement shoot, he volunteered to let us take pictures off site free of charge because we'd gotten so much rain lately that the park across the street from the studio where they usually shoot wasn't very pretty. When we had to make a last minute request to have Bernie take pictures at a private ceremony at St. Luke's hospital (my dad was hospitalized but I really wanted him to walk me down the aisle), he didn't bat an eye. He was at the hospital chapel on time and ready to shoot. Many thanks to Bernie for capturing all the special moments of our day!

My husband and I work very hard but for us and our families, we don't have a lot of money, especially at that time we bought a house, I was in school. From the first meeting with Bernie with my mom I felt relieved and that we were making a great choice to go with Bernie Elking. We talked about what our ideas were and what our budget looked like. Right from the start Bernie was friendly, welcoming and explained all of our options. We were offered a free engagement session and print which was so generous. After we had decided on a package, in true fashion some things had to change months before the wedding. I had changes in my hours at work and had adjustments to what we could do. I was very stressed but even with having to make some changes, Bernie Elking was understanding and patient and continued to work with us. Our photographer was friendly, got to know us and took photos that really represented us and our style- we took a football photo with our wedding party! He took not only photos that we knew we wanted, but even great ideas he had. We love our pictures! My husband and I have been very happy with the photos especially given all the changes we have to make. After the wedding unfortunately we had family members passing and with everything, even though we loved the photos and were excited to order, it took a long time because family and other things were the priority. Bernie Elking assured us everything was fine and would continue to help and work with us. When I came in to order I had mixed up some things, but in true awesome nature, Bernie was very patient and understanding and offered to help us out. In this story I realized my husband and I come off as not knowing what to do and I feel so bad about all the things that happened. But we can't help job changes, family members passing and just the stress of life. We are so blessed that we chose Bernie Elking because their committment to customers, their service and help, and their top quality in their reps and photographers have been second to none. with our Engagement session in September, we knew Bernie would be great. The day of our engagement photos, it was hot and humid, and I felt it. I felt like my hair wasn't cooperating, and I didn't have much hopes for the pictures. But I was wrong! When we got the disc back about a week later, they were perfect! There was no evidence of a hot and sweaty day. Just a fun filled morning of happy poses. After that, I had complete faith in Bernie and his talents. The day of the wedding went very smoothly. I never felt like I was "on show", just felt like it was a familiar friend hanging around taking pictures. Bernie and Chad got thousands of great shots that we would have never seen with our eyes. Bernie was so dedicated to capturing the perfect shot that he even laid on the ground at Carondelet Park. He definitely went above and beyond our expectations. Chad captured everything we would have missed, like the wedding party laughing and having fun while my husband and I were posing. Bernie and Chad truly captured every single moment of our wedding day. There are thousands of pictures to choose from! There are so many amazing shots that it is difficult to choose a favorite. Bernie and Chad also got many pictures of our reception guests enjoying the evening. It's great to know that our guests will be part of our album as well. The bottom line: choose Bernie Elking Photography as your photographer. You will not be disappoint! Hiring Bernie was the BEST decision we made for our wedding.

wever Bernie found the perfect lighting and really made them looks awesome. I was actually happy we wound up having to do them in the dark at forest park! I feel as if he captured the best moments, both sentimental and funny :-) I have so many great pictures to chose from it's really difficult! Ultimately I am truly pleased about how all of our photographs turned out and they will be our memories forever. I would highly recommend him to any future brides and would use him for any other occasion. I really did get my money's worth and am super satisfied

I WOULD NOT recommend anyone using them and wish I would have chosen someone else since I can NEVER recreate this experience. Most likely, I will higher someone else to retake pictures of us so I can get quality ones. Completely disappointed...

Bernie managed to capture all of the traditional pictures that are must haves and some edgy, unique ones as well, and Amanda got some really creative shots, that I did not even know were being taken. My husband and I were more than elated when we received our DVD's back. They were professional the entire way through and I received many compliments about them from guests at my wedding. My sister is getting married next year and they just booked with Bernie! Truly the best photographer in St. Louis! They helped in making our day one we will never forget!

We have thousands of pictures that Bernie released to us to print on our own and have options to choose from for Bernie to create a professional album as well. Bernie felt like family the day of our wedding, super fun to work with and yet subtle - we never felt like he was keeping us from doing whatever we wanted to do and he captured so many moments of us and all our guests. I would recommend Bernie Elking Photography to any bride looking for the right photographer. We enjoyed working with him 10 years ago and 10 weeks ago! They've got a great thing going!!

I was concerned about cost, and Bernie Elking Photography was a great value for what we got. to take wonderful pictures. Our engagement session was included in the price of our wedding photo package-which is hard to find. The engagement pictures came back in a very timely manner and they are great! It was hard to pick which picture to use as our announcement, they were all beautiful. When we called Bernie Elking to confirm times as the wedding approached, everyone we talked to was extremely nice and knew who I was as soon as I said my name. This was important to us. We even ran into our photographer, Bernie, at the St. Louis Bridal Show and he recognized us right away and called us over to talk for a bit about the upcoming wedding. Our wedding day pictures are PERFECT!!! We do not have a single picture we do not LOVE! Bernie Elking has a variety of photo package options to fit any budget. They are the best photographer in the St. Louis area. Every bride and groom should choose Bernie Elking.

edding. There were very resonably priced. Every time I called I got a friendly voice and a straight answer. Scheduling was simple and flexible. Amanda, our photographer, was promt, energetic, and made the day all about what we wanted while managing to capture every moment, from posed to candid. Between our ceremony and rehersal we asked about going to a couple other locations: "Whatever you guys what to do. I'm down for anything" was her responce. I believe she went above and beyond any expectations! I would recommend this company and Amanda to anyone I can! Post wedding we recieved our photos/dvds within 2 weeks and are more then pleased with the quality and quantity of the pictures. Everything has been delivered as advertised and promised.

ession or viewing the proofs. For the wedding day itself, our photographer John was AMAZING! He arrived early and was very active in the getting ready portion of the day. We felt comfortable with him in every aspect of the day. John took some amazing creative shots during both the ceremony and reception, and his attention to detail was awesome. His work with my husband and I in our portraits was fabulous--he came up with creative, sexy, and romantic shots I'd never seen done before. He stayed longer than he had to and took WAY more photos than he had to. His patience was awesome as well, since my husband and I were hard to grab during the reception and after for some final photos. I'd say go with Bernie Elking any day!

000. I was kind of worried at first because alot of photographers start their packages at 3,000 and up from there. What drew me to Bernie was his pricing for his packages. Not only was he highly recommend, he had packages that can suite anyone's pocket book. That was a plus for me. Bernie Elking like's to work off of referals, and I say this because he is very good with customer service. If you are not please with something, he is ready and willing to fix it with no questions asked. The staff at his studio is knowledgable and helpful. I was very please on how fast I got my wedding pictures back. I received my pictures exactly 2 weeks from my wedding day. The day of the wedding I expected only Bernie to show up to take pictures. When I was down stairs getting ready at the church one of Bernie's staff members walked in and introduced herself and started snapping pictures. I thought to myself, "I think I only paid for one photographer". I turned to my mom who was with me and said, "did you surprise me and pay for two photographer"? She replied with "no". I went up and told her that I thought that Bernie was the only photographer I had. She nicely replied with "Bernie wants you to have all the pictures you can have, and since he is working with the Groomsmen right now he wanted to have someone down here with you and the girls getting ready". I was really impressed with that. She stayed with us the rest of the day and into the reception. I was blown away by this. Another plus was that we paid for 8hours with Bernie but he actually ended up staying for 11hours. Bernie showed up at noon that day and did not leave until 11:00p.m. that night. I highly recommend Bernie. If you are an undecided bride and are not sure who to go with, at least take the time and check him out. One last thing that made me confident on choosing Bernie was when you walk in his studio he has all of his awards displayed through out the studio. Not only were they recent awards but awards from reputiable sources. Hands down, Bernie Elking is a must have wedding photographer. Sincerley, Very Pleased Bride
