If Frozen Desserts could receive a Michelin Award...
Jon spent more than a decade working in various Michelin-starred restaurants before opening Bernie's Italian Ice. As a chef, he loved doing the simple things exceptionally, and his frozen desserts are no different. Crafted with care and always crowd-pleasing, Jon's desserts are bright, balanced, mouthwatering, and never overly sweet.
So, What is Italian Ice?
Italian ice is made from real fruit, water, and all-natural ingredients. It is similar to Sicilian granita, found in cities along the east coast, and is naturally dairy-free and gluten-free, so fun for all the family and friends. You can arrange a private meeting with a member of Bernie's Italian Ice and find out firsthand how polished, calm, and easy they are to work with. It's your wedding day, so remember to relax and grab a spoon.

Hiring Bernie's Italian Ice for our Capri garden themed wedding was one of our best choices, both for the vibes but also the pure deliciousness of the treat that transported you to...
simpler times of summers past. Jon from Bernie's couldn't have made the planning more easy, enjoyable, and seamless.
Insane attention to detail. We had a color scheme that we really wanted to stick within and Bernies really helped bring our vision to life. It was also really surprising how it was...
probably the most photographed thing at our wedding. Toasted meringue was more of a star than we anticipated!
I discovered Bernie’s after a trip to Smorgasburg in DTLA with a friend, and after a taste I knew I had to bring my husband to give it a go. We ended up hiring Bernie’s Italian Ice...
for our wedding and it was truly one of the biggest hits of the night! Our guests absolutely loved it and many went back for seconds (and even thirds). For most of our guests, it was their first time trying it, and they couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was. My mom has been begging me to take her to Smorgasburg to have some more!
My husband and our guests raved about how the staff was so fun and nice and they really enjoyed how interactive it felt with the blow torch for the meringue. The blow torch finish on the meringue added such a wow factor.
From a planning perspective, they were also fantastic to work with. Jon was super receptive via email and he made everything easy (which is a godsend with all the stressful planning). Jon helped us set up a visit at one of their stands so we could sample flavors ahead of time — which made us even more confident in our choice because every single flavor was delicious.
If you’re looking for a unique dessert experience that your guests will remember, Bernie’s is it. We’re so happy we booked them and would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat!
This was the PERFECT unique dessert experience at my wedding. Jon was so communicative around planning and made everything so easy. And everyone was obsessed. Highly recommend!!!

fted and never too sweet. And the gorgeous cart was so fun and cute! My favorite is definitely the Pineapple Coconut flavor, but they're all so good! Highly recommend Bernie's for any and all celebrations wanting a truly elevated and special dessert!
