Our wedding day was truly The Best Day Ever thanks to Erica and Nicole. Everything was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted- a small, meaningful beach wedding. We were looking for a beautiful, beach wedding and that is exactly what Best Day Ever gave us!! Nicole and Erika’s assistance was invaluable and actually allowed us to enjoy our wedding instead of stressing out over the planning.
What my wife and I really liked about Nicole and Erika is that they took the time to get to know us and understand what our vision for the wedding was. We were really impressed with their professionalism, communication and patience.
As it turns out my wife and I made some changes to our initial plans for the venue and Nicole offered some wonderful options that helped us reshape our decision. She did extra research to accommodate us and the process moved forward smoothly. We really appreciated the way she adapted and was so flexible.
My wife and I opted for the full coordination plan. We were very impressed with the Best Day Ever team’s suggestions and vendor references. The toughest job for us was to select a best option amongst a group wonderfully qualified vendor candidates.
Having a destination and multi-language wedding seemed like a daunting task for us. However, we were ecstatic with the results and our guests gave us so many wonderful compliments on our special day. None of this would have been possible without Best Day Ever. Through the year plus of working with Best Day Ever they kept us on track and offered so many wonderful suggestions to make sure we got exactly the wedding we were hoping for.
What impressed us the most though was the seamless way ceremony and reception went. Erika and Nicole were there every step of the way with us. From assisting me with my bow tie, to wrangling guests for photos, to helping keep us on time for both our speeches and sunset photos, they were there to take care of any and all of the little unexpected things that might occur on this day.

We hired Best Day Ever for our wedding last month based on Nicole and Erika's reviews - my husband and I both agreed that it was the best investment we made in our wedding! I'm a bit of a control freak but was worried about ordering the rentals for our site (we had to bring in EVERYTHING) and didn't want to have to run around frantically on the day of our wedding, so we opted for the month-of planning package with an event coordination add-on (they determined our needs and organized all of our rentals, from table and chairs to silverware). I liked that we were able to customize their services to our needs, since I felt confident I could hire the right vendors and had a clear vision of what we wanted for our big day but realized we needed help if we wanted to truly enjoy our wedding.
The month of our wedding rolled around before we knew it, and as promised Nicole took over all of our contracts. I was happily surprised that she took over all communication with vendors - I didn't have to interact with anyone but Nicole the month before my wedding, and she responded quickly to every request, communicating all our needs to our vendors. The week before the wedding we met with Nicole to go over last minute details; she provided us with the most detailed timeline imaginable and took all the decor items to bring to the wedding venue.
The timeline gave me confidence that she had a great handle on all the wedding details but the best part was that I didn't have to look at the timeline at all - on the day of our wedding, Nicole directed the day flawlessly and deftly coordinated our many vendors.
I can say without reservation that Best Day Ever met and exceeded our expectations - we are so grateful to them for making our wedding day beautiful, fun, and most importantly, worry-free!
I wish I could give six stars to Erika and Nicole from Best Day Ever! Although at the beginning of my wedding planning I was one of those brides who thought she could do everything by herself, I realized I needed some outside help after having super stressful wedding nightmares. From the first meeting with the team, I knew that Best Day Ever would be a huge help during an event with a ton of moving parts. I went with the Month Of Package but I wish I had gone to them earlier and used one of their more complete packages.
On my wedding day, I was able to relax and fully enjoy the day, unlike a lot of friends of mine who decided to go without a wedding planner. Nicole and Erika helped with everything from sewing my dress back together when it started coming apart after my grand entrance, to helping the MC with the program, to seamlessly coordinating family photos and the wedding rehearsal, to coming up with creative solutions for wedding games, to perfectly placing wedding details, to organizing a flawless wedding timeline, among many, many other things that I wouldn't even have thought of on my own. Not only were they incredibly organized, they are two of the sweetest people I've ever met. They worked really well with all my vendors, even though they hadn't chosen them. I loved Nicole and Erika's energy, dedication, organization, and positive attitude throughout the whole process. I already want to plan a renewal of vows or other events just so I can work with them again :) I wholeheartedly recommend Best Day Ever for your wedding planning needs!
We were half way across the World in England and didn't know the first thing about how to plan a Wedding in Hawaii. I am so glad we had Erika, Nicole and Kelli. They sorted out absolutely everything for us. They knew which vendors were professional and trustworthy and found us a wonderful driver, a perfect florist, a superb photographer, a lovely makeup artist and the perfect Kahu.
All of our friends who have married before us have always been so stressed before and even during their wedding day but we were so relaxed the whole time and that was all thanks to Erika, Nicole and Kelli. They had been busy contacting us in the months before the Wedding finding out exactly how we wanted our day and thought of all the things we would have forgotten about.
They were also available 24/7 to answer any questions we had leading up the wedding always replying straight away. They made the whole process seem so easy for us.
On the day everything went without a hitch, they had coordinated everything to run like clockwork. From the makeup in the morning, to the collection of the flowers, to the return journey all the vendors were timed perfectly.
The sweetest thing was that when we got home we found out that Erika and Nicole had made a video for us of our wedding without us noticing which they edited and set to music themselves. This was such a nice surprise especially since we had not paid for a videographer. We have enjoyed so much showing that video to everyone back in the UK and it brings tears to many who watch it!
The girls were worth every cent and I would recommend them to anyone. It felt as if they always went above and beyond their contracted duty to make sure we had an extra special day; we really felt well looked after.

My and the missus wanted a simple Hawaii beach wedding with just the two of us. (no guests) You'd think this would be trivial to organize on your own, and you'd be wrong- even seemingly simple weddings like this take a lot of planning and organising. We chose Best Day Ever because they have good reviews. We are glad we did!
Best Day Ever did a great job taking care of bureaucratic formalities (beach permits etc) and recommending and picking location, officiant, photographer, musician, limo service, dress & tux service, make-up artist, restaurant etc according to our needs and preferences. Some of those Best Day Ever contacted and organised for us, others (photographer, limo, dress & tux, make-up artist and restaurant if I remember correctly) we organised ourselves after having them recommended and introduced to us.
Best Day Ever had great execution throughout, always answering questions in a timely, friendly and professional manner. The end result was perfect: our wedding day was simply *perfect* and *exactly* what we wanted.

Coming from New Zealand being on another side of the world and having an internet as your only guide is a bit difficult. Found these beautiful ladies through Yelp. I’m soooo glad we were able to work with them, so easy, hassle free at no stage I had a feeling of uncertainty. They were always responding to the emails, answered every single question I had :) (trust me I had many he-he!)
Everything was planned at the rite time; they were suggesting me what I should be thinking of next etc.
We had a small wedding with only three guests selected the Basic Destination Wedding package, it had everything we needed.
All the suggestions that Nicole made and every advice was thoughtful made for our wedding and our day. They truly understand what the bride (the couple) is after. They are professionals and know their staff. People who they work with are the best and have only positive words to share.

My Fiance now Husband and I live in LA- I am from LA and he is Australian. I work in Entertainment and he runs a non profit...we have crazy day to day and knew that planning the kind of wedding that we would want (super fun, unforgettable and won't put us in the poor house.) we would need help.
Hawaii is the middle for our American and Australia guests. SO we knew we were going somewhere in Hawaii! I cross referenced every review and these blogs and it was an easy choice Best Day Ever - Nicole and Erika deserve every review. They helped us pick the Island - Oahu - They gave us the best list of locations and we picked the Ihilani at the JW Marriott they connected us with the most fabulous range of vendors and set up trial runs and meetings. They basically made wedding planning fun and easy. I do not know much about flowers or cakes or anything..and they brought me the best in their field and we picked from there. Nic and Erika get to know you and help you fill in the blanks when you may not be able to articulate what you want "but you know what you want" they helped us stay on and in our budget.
AVAILABILITY - They emailed and called and were available to us 24/7..they would always get back to emails in a timely fashion and were efficient and effective with our time and theirs. Couldn't ask for more.
COST - They have a package style for every budget and every need. We went full package because we didn't have the time really. But there is no doubt that their cost is offset by the deals and savings they negotiate. Hawaii is not a simple place to navigate price wise you need these girls on your side. Save yourself time and money and peace of mind.
Overall, Best Day Ever and these girls have Hawaii wired they know how to do what they are doing and you as a bride/groom get to benefit because of their awesome relationships and stellar reputations. They have gone above and beyond in so many instances I can't even count. Hire BEST DAY EVER to plan your wedding. It will be the best decision you make (other than picking your future spouse.) Our wedding is on their blog check it out. It was 125 people and the budget didn't break our banks.
But the biggest reason to bring the Best Day Ever team on is because they prioritize your wedding like it is their own...they are purest in the best use of the term. On a personal note I was not excited to have a wedding because planning it was a constant reminder that I lost my father last year and lost my mom to cancer a few years back. No mom to help me do the fun mother daughter planning and no dad to walk me down the aisle and all the things as parents they looked forward to doing. Nic and Erika made sure to make sure my parents were present in the ceremony in a unique hawaiian spiritual way they did something I didn't think possible. They created moments for my parents for me and my family and that is priceless. They just want to make your wedding the very best experience in your life and they truly care about creating that for their couples. Life for us is about experiences with friends and family because you never know how long you will have people. Life is precious and we wanted our wedding to be an opportunity to shower our friends with love and have them share the most special moment of our lives together. Yes we could have used the wedding budget towards buying a house but to us the wedding was a bigger investment and it was wisely spent because we had BEST DAY EVER.

Erika & Nicole from Best Day Ever Hawaii were our wedding coordinators--thank God! As a super-organized and completely involved bride/groom couple, we thought we could handle everything...until a few months before the wedding and we realized that our wedding nightmares were causing us more stress then we could handle! Haha. Insert--BDE. They were recommended to us through a friend who also used them for a wedding and gave a good review. We set up a meeting and signed the contract! Since all of the major work was done, we signed up for the month-of coordination.
Like many other brides, we didn't really leave room in our budget for a coordinator as we didn't think we would need one for our small, intimate wedding of 75 guests. But come the day of our wedding I couldn't stop saying.."I'm so glad we have a wedding coordinator!" When we realized just how organized BDE was and how helpful it would be to have coordinators since we had 2 separate venues, we knew it would be loads of help. I thought I was organized with all of my excel sheets and wedding binder--they were the most organized I could ever dream of! So many small details that I would've never considered, they had it all down pat! Even when I through some last minute details in, they made it happen.
Wedding week was busier than I anticipated, with small odd tasks taking more time and family coming in daily. The few days before the wedding, I barely had time to talk to my guests as I was running errands, but I'm SO thankful that BDE were communicating all the important details to the bridal party and family. It was nice to have someone else answer all of the many questions my family and bridal party had, and not having to repeat myself and worry if everyone knew what to do. They really gave us peace of mind and I knew we'd be able to enjoy our wedding day.
And of course---the wedding day went off without a hitch! Everything was BEYOND perfect--and I know a lot of it was due to their behind the scenes work. I didn't have to worry about a thing, and I was so happy to enjoy the day we had spent over a year to plan! (Not to mention all that money ;)
All in all, I would highly recommend this vendor! Even working with them for such a small amount of time, they felt like close friends:) It was truly a dream come true wedding and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!
Can't say enough good comments about BDE. A destination wedding can be difficult to plan, one that is occurring during 2 historic hurricanes could become a nightmare.Nicole and Erika were extremely competent, calm and collected. They made sure all our back ups were in place and all vendors and parties knew about them. Speaking of vendors we were very pleased about their recommendations and who we choose. These planners came thru a challenging event with our confidence. We did not really know which venue we could use until 3 hrs before the ceremony. All went flawlessly. Very personable while they took care of us. The little gift surprises were appreciated. You will not go wrong with these 2 wedding planners.
Nicole and Erika was easily the best investment we made when we got married. They were kind, organised, had great vendor connections (in quality and price) and definitely made planning the wedding from Australia that much easier.
BDE really captured our vision and were there for us for all our stresses and worries during the planning period. The girls went above and beyond, when it came to our big day they had everything under control even the smaller things that we didn't even think about.
Together with our 100+ guests (who flew in from all over the world), we were all blown away with the ceremony and reception and the whole vibe on our special day, to this day we are all still raving on and reminiscing about our wedding day.

First of all, I want to take the moment to thank Nicole and Erika for their hard work. We found them through Yelp because they had the best reviews! And it turned out that we made the best choice by handing over the entire wedding planning to them.
Before I start the review, I do want to highlight for anyone who is interested in working with the Best Day Ever gals. They are amazing, thoughtful and hard working people with just awesome personalities - like the Hawaii sunshine. They will deliver your dream wedding to you and exceed your expectations. The wedding planning process can have frustrating and challenging moments. What we have been doing is to take a deep breath and call up Nicole or Erika to let them deal with it (thanks for being there for us all the time, I meant, really, all the time). Meanwhile, trust them and have faith in their abilities.
Anyways, here goes the detailed review and it is probably useful for the couples out there wondering what to do with their exciting wedding planning.
1. Price: Hawaiian wedding costs can vary. It really depends on what you wanted. My wife and I are middle class workers who just want to have an intimate dream wedding in Hawaii. We chose the full package because we simply don't have enough time to be spared from working life on the wedding planning. I have to say I was worried about exceeding our entire budget by spending much on the planners :) However, I was totally surprised and I am still not sure how Nicole and Erika made it happen but apparently Best day Ever gals used their magic and saved us over $10K in total and delivered the exact dream wedding setup for us. (I am guessing they have a very good local vendor connections and it seems like vendors really enjoy working with them) One thing I am pretty sure is that we will not be able to find such good deals with each vendor if we ordered by ourselves and we definitely will not be able to manage them all at the same time.
2. Availability and Service: As I mentioned earlier, Erika and Nicole were available to us pretty much 24/7 although we didn't want to abuse it by calling them 4 in the morning (time zone difference between california and Hawaii).They are very responsive to questions and concerns. They were able to answer every single question thoroughly and follow up on the action items immediately. We had a great time with Erika and Nicole because they really listen carefully and pay attention to the details. We weren't sure about many details on how to setup the wedding in the beginning but Erika and Nicole were patient and they presented us many possible solutions to pick. I have to say there are so many details that we could have missed if we planned the wedding by ourselves. Nicole and Erika are very knowledge and professional to cover every single detail for us. On the wedding day, we missed one of the computer cables and we couldn't use the computer for our family photo presentations. Nicole volunteered to drive all the way back home during traffic hour to pick up the right cables for us (thank you Nicole btw).
Overall, Best Days Ever is not like any other service businesses that I have dealt with. Their core value is not to make money. They are there to bring you the ultimate happiness. I did get a very strong feeling that the goal of Best Days Ever is not only to deliver the dream wedding - what the couple have asked for, but also to exceed everyone’s expectations by bringing their unique hawaiian spirits.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. It was everything we could have ever imagined and so much more, all thanks to the expertise, hard work, and attention to detail of Erika and Nicole at Best Day Ever! We were initially hesitant to hire wedding planners, unsure of whether or not it was worth the cost. Yet, after taking part in a particularly hectic wedding earlier in the year, my mind was set – we needed help. We wanted to be able to enjoy our wedding day with our family and friends without all of the stress of planning such a big event.
I’m a particularly organized person myself, yet from our very first meeting with Nicole and Erika, I was completely impressed with the level of care and detail that they put into their work. Since we had already secured most of our vendors, we decided to go with their month-of planning package. However, Erika and Nicole continued to stay in touch with us throughout the year, constantly checking in and offering advice. As a bride, it was really nice to know that someone had my back amidst the craziness of planning a wedding. They were definitely a calming force and always helped to keep me centered.
A month before our wedding date, we handed everything off to Best Day Ever! and in doing so breathed a big sigh of relief. Everything was prepped and ready to go and all we needed to do was show up, Nicole and Erika took care of everything else. We didn’t need to ask our family to shoulder any burdens, our friends could just show up and enjoy the festivities, and we could literally sit back and soak in our big day.
Looking back, choosing Erika and Nicole to be a part of our big day was the best decision we made. Throughout the year we worked with them, they became more than just wedding planners they became our friends. We would highly recommend Best Day Ever!
A self-proclaimed uber organizer, I was a little hesitant to hire a wedding coordinator and turn over my most important day to someone else. Living in Las Vegas and planning my wedding in Waikiki, my mother insisted that I find one and I'm glad she was so persistent. I reached out to a few companies, but knew as soon as I had my initial meeting with Nicole from Best Day Ever that I had found the perfect coordinators.
Erika & Nicole were on point with everything - extremely organized and thorough. I booked the Bonnie & Clyde package. The girls met with my parents and I during our only planning trip months before the wedding and my parents instantly fell in love with them. They were very easy to work with and responded to all of my emails in a timely manner. Turning everything that I had worked on over to them when the time came was a lot easier than I thought it would be because I trusted them fully with my wedding. Erika assisted with my layouts and timeline and had everything down to the T. She was as organized as I hoped to be and then some.
During my wedding week, Best Day Ever went above and beyond what I excepted. The girls ran my rehearsal and made sure everyone was comfortable with their roles. On the day of my wedding, Best Day Ever definitely did not disappoint. They were there the ENTIRE day, from setting up the ceremony to reviewing/signing the final BEO at the end of the night. They also handled a few minor issues that we ran into throughout the day. Having them as our go-to people on my wedding day allowed my parents to enjoy my wedding A LOT more because they were confident that Nicole and Erika were taking care of everything. Knowing that we had Best Day Ever on our side took a big weight off of my and my parents' shoulders.
Looking back on this whole wedding journey, hiring Best Day Ever was definitely one of the best decisions we made. I recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of wedding coordination. They were truly awesome and my husband and I definitely had our Best Day Ever.
I am so grateful and appreciative of you guys! Initially, I didn't think I needed help planning my very small and intimate wedding, but w/ Nicole's expertise, she suggested many details (I wouldn't have thought of myself) which made the ceremony extra special. We were extremely satisfied with the photographer, officiant, and private chef recommended by "Best Day Ever" - they have the best connections!
In addition, Nicole was kind enough to make my bouquet and flower crown when I couldn't find a florist with the specific flowers I wanted. She designed and created exactly what I had in mind.
Not only are they detail oriented but extremely artistic and creative. I realize now how important it is to have a wedding planner on your special day. Erika and Nicole were a huge help the whole year before our wedding. When my fiancé and I got engaged, we knew we'd need help planning our wedding in Hawaii since we lived in California and weren't able to take care of everything on our own.
The best part about having Nicole and Erika was that once we told them the general look and feel we were going for, they were able to help us execute and plan out all the little details.
I can't count the number of times the girls brought up issues and things to consider, stuff we never would've thought of on our own. Their insight alone saved us so much stress, time, and money, and we can honestly say their services were worth every penny.
They're extremely on-task, organized, and efficient, and those qualities really kept us at ease. The month or two leading up to our wedding day, there were so many contracts to keep track of and wedding details to iron out, but Nicole and Erika kept us calm and helped us through each one. On top of that, whenever we had late-night freak-outs, they were always available via text and email to answer questions. Super awesome.
Our wedding day went flawlessly, exactly like we had hoped. If there were any issues, Nicole and Erika handled them perfectly and we had no idea :)

I can't thank Nicole and Erika enough. They made my wedding planning as smooth as butter. They provided vendor recommendations, set up appointments, reviewed contracts, provided information for name change for after the wedding and so much more (even saved me some money with a few vendors). They kept me well informed throughout the planning process and were prompt to respond to all my concerns.
The girls at Best Day Ever did a great job making my vision for the wedding a reality. They were able to accommodate all my request (like making sure I got my ice cream truck) and provided information on a lot of DIY stuff I wanted to do. If your not a DIY person BDE provides event design or graphic design packages. Although my budget did not allow for me to use their graphic design services, I did get to see some samples and it looked fantastic.
The day of the wedding my groom and I were completely stress free (my groom even took a nap that day!). Even my mother did not have to do a thing so she started to make up things to stress out about (she one of those people who always needs to be doing something). It was truly a memorable day for my husband and I and all our guest. Everyone had a blast.
I highly recommend BDE if you planning a wedding. If you can't afford full coordination, I still would highly suggest using them for day of coordination in order to have a stress free day.
I actually found BDE on YELP because their high ratings. I know it's not a big firm but almost all customers gave very good feedback, and that's why I was interested too.
Nicole was the one answered my phone call and she worked with me throughout the preparation. She is very patient, a good listener and flexible on things. She is also quite creative and always give me different options. She suggested selected vendors and tailored the wedding well to meet my flavor.
There were few difficulties such as settling payment with vendors, and Nicole helped to solve them. I really appreciated that.

I am very happy about the Hawaii wedding with Nicole and Erika's help. I think they are passionate about their job and very professional. And comparing to other organizers, I chose them because the flexibility they can provide.
The BEST thing about Best Day Ever is that Erika and Nicole were the BEST people to work with! They have such big hearts and truly want to help you out with your special day. They made my husband and I feel very important from our first meeting and communicated with us very well throughout the entire planning process. Honestly, I originally thought I didn't need a wedding coordinator and could do it all by myself! Haha! Hiring them turned out to be a huge relief and they are so much fun to work with! My husband and I have said to each other several times since our wedding that hiring Erika and Nicole was one of the best decisions we made. We were the type of couple that had a very distinct picture of how we wanted our wedding day to be. We spent several months planning and coordinating things ourselves, but knew when it came to the big day that we wanted to completely relax and enjoy ourselves. Our florist at the time offered “Day of Coordination” services, but she had to back out of the commitment about a month before the wedding. So we were in a bit of a pinch and needed to find new coordination. We researched and consulted with different coordinators before we decided wholeheartedly on Best Day Ever, and boy was it the best decision ever!
Not only did they offer day of coordination services, but they agreed to come on just one-month before our wedding. They poured through our contracts, coordinated with vendors, and met with us about once a week. Their goal was to make sure our vision for the big day was being carried out exactly how we wanted it.
When it came to our wedding day, I can truly say we were able to relax because of Erika and Nicole. They day of our wedding began with pouring ran and they reassured us by routinely checking on me and telling me that the pouring rain would stop and the sun would come out, based off the weather reports they kept following. Sure enough the sun did come out and dried everything up just two hours before the ceremony! When it came to the wedding itself, they were like two well-oiled machines. We needed to make a couple of adjustments to the layout because of the rains, but it was totally handled without issues.
These two lovely ladies make a great pair. Nicole has a background in design and helped us create a postcard (which everybody loved) for our out-of -town guests. Erika was the only person who could get our 2-½ year old flower girl to keep the beautiful rose haku lei on her head during our photos! Together they ran the show.
Erika and Nicole went above and beyond on our wedding day. We had a few glitches with our Bartending Service. They were understaffed and didn’t have anyone to bus the glassware, so Erika and Nicole took it upon themselves to do it. We were married at an outdoor venue and weren’t allowed to smoke. Some family members busted out cigars at the end of the night, and we later learned that Erika and Nicole were walking around with flashlights picking up cigar butts. Trust me, these girls know what they’re doing and work their butts off to make your wedding day a success. My husband and I cannot vouch for them enough! So if you want your wedding day to go off without any glitches and want piece-of-mind that you and any of your family members will not have to stress on the big day, then hire Best Day Ever – they were worth every penny!
My husband is in the Military and with him leaving all the time I was on my own. Our Guest list contained people from all over the US so not only did I have to plan our wedding I had to coordinate everyone flights their transportation, and events once they got here.
I started to look for vendors on my own and that's when I realized it was a pain in the butt. Every vendor I looked at kept me on hold forever or always transferred me to someone else and having to have different services was just to much for me. I was a full time student and I worked full time as well so having the time to go through all the vendors was time I didn't have.
That is when I decided to search for wedding planners. I called up several wedding planners and schedule meetings. One wedding planner I spoke to was very rude. I gave them my budget and my ideas and they told me that it wasn't enough money; then when I spoke to Nicole from Best Day Ever her and Erika spent a week researching everything before we had our first official.
Erika and Nicole spent a week researching what I wanted for our wedding with the budget I had and before meeting them I all ready knew they were the wedding planners for us! I was so happy!! Then when I meant them their energy just re-enforced the feelings I had already had for them.
Months went by and everything was great!! Erika and Nicole both did, what I like to call "the dirty work" they contacted all the vendors and dealt with everything. I just had to choose everything I wanted and any paper work they sent it to me; I never had to contact the vendors for anything.. any questions I had, they got back to me very quickly and it took so much stress off my shoulders!!
Friends and family flew in a week to two weeks before the weeding... so I call it the "weeding week" I didn't have to worry about the wedding at all. I just spent time with my family and friends.
I found out that one of my brides maids wasn't going to be in the wedding and so I had a back up bridesmaid but with no dress! :( Nicole was nice enough to let me borrow one of her personal dresses that matched my pink color!! I was so thankful because we couldn't find anything in the rose pink color and Davids bridal didn't have that dress in stock.
The wedding day I felt like a queen!! Everything was perfect!! Erika and Nicole was very professional and had everything so perfect... They were everywhere! helping with the bridal party, the groomsmen, the vendors setting everything up and of coarse me, the bride :) It was our "Best Day Ever!"
I would like to highly recommend Best day Ever as your wedding coordinators they are willing to work with whatever your budget and are willing to go on beyond to help you. We are so happy that we went this route because of all the family and friends that flew in my husband and I were all over the place with different people trying to spend time with everyone and since none of them have ever been to Hawaii we were also calling shuttle services and setting up entertainment. If you go with best day ever you won't regret it and you will have your Best Day Ever!!
My bride and myself decided that we were going to plan and coordinate our own wedding. Well, just a couple months into the planning process we realized that with a guest list of close to 180 we had bitten off more than we could chew. With four months until the big day we decided to get some help. After sitting down with Nicole and Erika we fell in love with their energy. Even though they were the first coordinators we meet with, my bride knew instantly they were the ones she wanted. Even though I wanted to do a little comparison shopping, my bride said "No need. They are the ones" and we hired them on the spot.
I have to admit that I was a little turned off at first after receiving the contract and noticing they had added and extra fee because we were having an outdoor wedding. After voicing my displeasure with the unexpected fee, they were quick to put me at ease and apologized for not informing us during our initial meeting and then offered a discount for the misunderstanding. I also take responsibility for not fully reading the package details where it did clearly state the added fee. They could have easily said that the fee is listed in the package and stuck to their price but with excellent customer service they scored big points in my book.
Nicole and Erika were awesome over the next few months. With the stresses of the wedding planning now off our shoulders, they presented us with various vendors to choose from and experienced advice. Even though we had in mind what we wanted for our centerpieces, they suggested we go with a wider low profile one due to the fact that we would be outdoors and the location the reception was in was know for being windy. Boy were we glad we listened. Sure enough, the wind was blowing that day and if we had went with the taller centerpieces we originally wanted, they would have blown over into our guests laps. They even found discrepancies in two vendor contracts we had signed previous to hiring them and found money we had over paid. They contacted the vendors and got us refunds for the overpayment. Wow! Job very well done!
The wedding was perfect. Everything we had pictured and with the extra details and design package they suggested, it was even better than we had dreamed. We got nothing but good compliments from our guest saying it was one of the better weddings they had attended and it was all because Nicole and Erika had the skills to pull it off. So very glad we found them. It was the Best Day Ever!
I usually do not write reviews that are negative. But, I could not be at ease if I did not do my part in hopefully preventing someone from going through the same situation that I was placed in or worse. Of course, as always this is my own experience and others may have had completely different interactions with this vendor.
So here it goes...
I contracted Best Day Ever (BDE) as my Day of Coordinators through a Bridal Expo. I obtained the contract with a promotional pricing that alotted a discounted fee to the first 5-10 brides who contacted them. My client-vendor relationship began roughly in Oct 2011. As day of coordinators, our contact was minimal and inquires were responded within 5-7 business days.
Everything was peachy up until this past week, with less than 40 days until my wedding date. I received an email that read as follows:
[Also, I wanted to let you know that after going over the details of your wedding, we may need to bring on one extra helper to make sure we have enough hands to execute your dream wedding flawlessly. Because you have such a large wedding, we need an extra person to assist. With larger weddings 200+ we always bring on at least one extra person.. with 300 we usually bring on two, but with your wedding in particular I think we can do with one. There will be an extra charge for this which will be $225 (includes one additional professional planner on hand for 8hrs). Of course we go over all the details of your wedding with him/her ahead of time and they will have their own tasks to take care of.
I know this is an extra fee you weren't expecting, but in all honesty, most of, in fact, all of our couples have had to pay an extra "Large Wedding Fee" which is $250 (250-299 guests) and $400 (300-349 guests) plus an multiple venue fee which is usually between $100 & $300 depending on the locations of your ceremony and reception... which usually covers this expense + others involved with having a wedding at two venues instead of one, however, because we booked you so long ago and because you had that special, we never applied these fees to you, and you actually got a really great deal. Probably the best deal we've ever done! ]
As I sat there, completely overwhelmed with my ever increasing budget... I re-read the contract which does not in any way mention these fees. To be honest, I was very stressed out and upset that this was not mentioned earlier in the past 9 months or at any meeting that was held with BDE. It completely blind-sided me.
My response was to breakdown each possible fee and how it pertained to the contract (which was no relation at all!) And in my response I added the following:
[I understand that this is business agreement and expense for additional personnel will be incurred to successfully coordinate the event. However, while we did receive a good deal on the day of coordination, it is a promotion that the company provided. Moreover, I feel like it is under false pretense that we signed a contract for solely day of coordination and now we are incurring these fees with less than 2 months until the day of the event. I don't want to feel that because we were given the promotional/deal that we will incur and be charged excess fees to simply compensate the difference between the deal/promotion pricing with the regular/nonpromotional pricing.
I feel like BDE is putting me in a difficult position where should I disagree with these out of scope fees, BDE will find some reaso
Best Day Ever was fantastic! I would highly recommend a day-of coordinator. Erika & Nicole came to our rescue when our other day of wedding coordinator, Alicia Means, bailed out on us at the last minute without a word. What you pay for is peace of mind on your biggest day, and that is exactly what Erika and Nicole delivered.
From the first meeting, Erika and Nicole's thoroughness and warmth reassured us that our wedding would be handled carefully and professionally. Their wedding timeline was precise down to the minute (but also allowed flexibility), and both Nicole and Erika were constantly in touch with questions about our vision of our wedding, and to warn us of issues we had not thought of ourselves.
Another wonderful trait of Best Day Ever was their promptness. We were surprised to find so many people in the wedding business are very late or lazy in replying to correspondence. We loved that Nicole and Erika were very very prompt with replies. This further reassured us that they would handle any important issues as soon as they arose.
Also, just a story to illustrate how Nicole and Erika went the extra mile for us: On the day of the wedding, as I was getting ready, we could not find my wedding shoes. They were blue flats that were supposed to be my "something blue." Not only did Erika offer her own slippers for the time being, but then they somehow found time during that hectic pre-ceremony period to buy cute blue slippers for our beach ceremony. Throughout the lead up and during the ceremony and reception, Nicole and Erika handled every request of ours patiently and expertly. We really felt we were in good hands from the get-go, and this allowed myself and my husband to relax and enjoy the wedding. Both stayed until the end of the reception, and we were just so happy with their help. In sum, Nicole and Erika were kind problem solvers throughout, and invaluable.

We had Best Day Ever do a full coordination for our wedding in November and couldn't be happier. There are a lot of planners to choose from but I'm really glad we went with them. They did a great job with the whole event, but what really sets them apart from others is the attention to detail and the design ideas that we couldn't find anywhere else. It really created a personal experience that we are still getting compliments for two months later.
I was on the fence about about getting a coordinator for a while, but now that it is all over, I realize how worth it it was. They really took the load of work off us and did a much better job than we could have done on our own. Best Day Ever really came through and gave it that personal feel.
