Best night ever DJ& events is not only true to its name but delivers an above and beyond experience you will never forget!
I met Mike 2 years ago at his booth at a wedding expo where he told me all about himself and what he does / offers and immediately I had a good feeling about him. He just gives off such good vibes and actually loves what he does and it truly shows in his actions.
Fast forward a few weeks later I decided to book, sent an email to Mike, and we set up a time to talk. Once we had a phone call, he sent his one page contract to me which I signed and sent back. Very straightforward and simple. Something you don’t come across often these days, most contracts are almost 5-10 pgs with complicated wording.
Mike then sent me his “wedding planner tool” which lists everything you’ll need to make decisions on.
About a year and half later my husband and I met up with mike to discuss everything to expect on the wedding day. Then that night he sent us his amazing very simple timeline of events.
Mike gave us a lot of advice and answered a lot of our dumb questions along the way. He really knows his stuff and has done so many weddings, he knows what works well and what doesn’t work well. He will be upfront and honest but if you still want something different he will do whatever you want on your day. it’s nice to have someone like him during the wedding planning process who knows what the hell to do lol.
During this 2 year planning process Mike, my husband and I actually became friends with the abundance of phone calls/ texts between us. Planning a wedding is not easy, especially ours which was 160 people and the venue only came with tables and chairs. We are extremely fortunate to have found Mike at that bridal expo because he sure is a diamond in the ruff.
A few other things mike did for us:
1. during our cocktail hour when we were taking photos he got us a drink and then stood there with our drink on the side running in to give us a sip on pose changes
2. He communicated with us the entire night
3. He got us food and drinks during dinner and guarded our table so we didn’t get bombarded while we ate - this was HUGE. something my wedding coordinator should have been doing but she wasn’t so Mike stepped in. Another one of those things he knows happens at weddings and is prepared for.
4. He won’t let anybody do any crazy things on the microphone before asking you first. My aunt actually asked to sing my husband and I a song on the microphone. We said yes and it was terrible but point is that Mike double checked with us first.
I could go on at the abundance of things Mike did for us on our wedding day. We highly highly recommend you book Mike for your wedding RIGHT NOW! seriously no need to keep looking because this is your guy. We love you Mike thank you again for everything and never forget when in doubt “mikes got you”

The Dance Floor and Pool
The consistently full dance floor was a testament to Michael's talent. Our guests, young and old, had an amazing time. Amazing enough they quite literally jumped into the pool!
DJ Mike really did a phenomenal job, especially considering the fact he was booked within less than a month before our big day. He worked with us beforehand to make sure he knew our vibe and I can easily say it was met at our reception! Our guests have given us several compliments about how much fun they had, crediting some of that to him!
Mike was an absolute rockstar from the beginning. He listened to the vision of our wedding day during the introduction call and went above and beyond on our wedding day.
Mike went table to table and got song requests from guests, got people excited to dance, perfectly executed the walk-down-the-aisle and recessional music, set the stage for the evening with his own equipment and customized lighting, made, made outstanding announcements to keep people and the event moving in the right direction, and had the dance floor going ALL NIGHT!
This is how much Mike cares - he went and got us drinks and asked if we needed anything multiple times throughout the entire day.
Even more, we found out the venue event coordinator quit a week before the wedding. Mike got on the phone with us quickly and said not to worry, “I got you covered.”

From the first phone with Mike, we absolutely knew he was the DJ for our special day. He is full of energy with a great sense of humor with an immense amount of knowledge needed to help out with wedding timelines, give tips, and most importantly keep your wedding party rocking! Mike was the reason for our time-line coming out perfectly for ourselves and guests. We were all over the place with times and what we wanted.. Mike stepped up and said can I give you my suggestion. We are SO thankful for his advice to keep the night moving along, getting the important stuff done first to ensure we had plenty of party-dance time for two whole hours! He also surprised us with making a custom golf ball with our names on it (our theme was garden-golf) It was the sweetest gesture and warmed our hearts. He incorporated lighting near our columns of florals near the cake table truly making the cake stand out! Mike became more than a DJ - truly a friend. Our guests are still talking about Mike's charism and humor throughout the evening. He brought more than music to the table -- he announced where our guests traveled from and kept the crowd laughing with asking about old school AOL screennames. We were very concerned about not getting any time to eat during the wedding while we were at our sweet heart table and so graciously asked guests to let us have a few minutes to ourself. We were able to give Mike several songs for our ceremony, and reception entrance songs. My dad had a speech he wanted to make and as he was wrapping it up he wanted him to throw on a specific AC/DC song and Mike couldn't have timed that moment any better. For the reception my husband gave him a list of songs - not to play each one, just to get an idea of our style for the wedding.. and to add the cherry on top he went around to each table to ask for song requests. I've been to numerous weddings and have never seen such a kind gesture to incorporate our guests. Mike had our guests partying until the VERY end, and he was the reason why we have so many awesome videos captured to last a longtime. If you're looking for a DJ that doubles as a coordinator, and friend - look no more. Thank you, Mike! You MADE our day.
Mike was the dj for our wedding on May 24th. I really liked from the start that he felt genuinely invested in myself and my fiance. We were able to become friends on Facebook prior to the wedding and Mike worked with us to meet before the wedding to get to know us better and answer any questions. He is always quick to respond when I message him. For the wedding, we got everything from him-ceremony music, lighting for the reception, the monogram and photobooth. He did a wonderful job with each of these items. I loved the monogram on the wall and the guests rocked the photo booth and dance floor all night long. He kept the party going for sure. I appreciate the wedding planner for fixing our plates of food for us during the reception and for Mike grabbing our drinks for us so we didn't have to get up. It was nice to sit and relax at our sweetheart table after standing through a ceremony and then an hour of pictures before the reception started.
Mike was the best choice we could’ve made for a dj! Music aside I don’t think I ever saw the bar because he was grabbing me and my wife drinks all night. His professionalism was top notch he made all the planning so much easier for us and his song choice throughout the night was perfect. There were so many requests from every guest and yet Mike made everyone happy which I wouldn’t this was possible with so many people with different tastes. I don’t think anyone left the dance floor the entire night and that’s the most you can ask out of your dj. I will recommend Mike to anyone that needs music entertainment in South Carolina!
We truly had such an amazing time getting to know Mike and having him DJ our wedding reception! He went out of his way to meet with us prior to our party. He got to know us and what we wanted out of our party, which truly translated into the success and fun that we had. There is nothing that we would change looking back on it, and would do it all over again the same.
Michael was the best vendor at our wedding! Because we are local to Myrtle beach, we met prior for drinks and apps and chatted about our expectations for the day.. which I loved! It made us feel comfortable to know who was going to be there on the wedding day. During cocktail hour, we were taking photos and he came out of the venue to hand us drinks and check on us?! He did a better job at that than the coordinator lol.. I got multiple compliments on our dj from people of all ages throughout and after the event. After reading other raving reviews, that’s what helped me choose the Best Night Ever DJ for our special event and we were not disappointed! 10/10 recommend, we couldn’t appreciate him enough.

DJ Mike is absolutely amazing!! Not only did he go out of his way to make sure our ceremony and reception music was exactly as we wanted, but he also gave amazing suggestions for other areas of wedding planning as well. He actually suggested a great photo opportunity for us to get a picture with each of our guests and everyone loved it!! At the end of the night, our guests could not stop raving about what a great DJ he is:) Mike is affordable, caring, professional, organized, detail oriented, and fun!! :) If you're looking for a DJ that will go above and beyond for your wedding, Mike is your guy!!
Dj Mike was absolutely amazing! He kept the party alive!! He was quick on his feet, flexible to any last minute changes. I decided at the very last second to do a bouquet toss and he said “let’s make it happen!” with no hesitation. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we were good on drinks and if we needed anything. He even fixed my dress bustle for me a couple of times and came in handy with this wire to keep it in place!! This man can do it all!
Mike listened to what we wanted regarding the vibe of our event and in no way disregarded how important that was to us. The conversations we had beforehand left me completely assured and I was right to fell that way. He is dedicated to the success of an event and it shows. We’re very grateful for the attention to detail; his ability to do whatever he can, even on the fly, to tailor your event to what you want and love is apparent. We had the best night ever 🙌🏻

Not only did he make sure the day was 100% about my husband and I but he also helped us in many other ways, like bringing us drinks during our photos and making sure we had the Best Night Ever!! Not only is Michael extremely affordable, he brings the energy to any wedding or event. His playlist making skills are top notch and he nailed the vibe we were going for. He takes the stress out of the music choosing process and can also provide insight to wedding details you may not think about just through his experience in doing them. If you are looking for a DJ I cannot recommend him enough. You will not be disappointed. He even went the extra mile to capture pictures and videos after our photographer left.
Could not have asked for a better DJ for our special day! We were not very expressive on music we like because we arent too picky, but with what little we gave him, he did amazing playing all types of music. There was not a single dull moment and EVERYONE loved him! Our photographer even left before our last private dance and he made it a point to get pictures and a video for us! He made sure leading up to the wedding, I was calm as the bride and offered any help he could. We will be using him again in the future for ANYTHING that may need music! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

He really took his time to listen to what we wanted and offered advice, suggestions, and answered all of our questions. He blended songs perfectly, customized the music selection to what we wanted, and even incorporated our guests' suggestions! He was also flexible in maneuvering and keeping the dance floor alive and was able to make sure our little personal checklist of songs made it into the night even when we hit a time crunch! His communication way before the wedding and the day of was fantastic, he made sure everything ran well the day of, the speeches and all! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ, he really did way surpass our expectations and delivered exactly what we hoped for! He was a crucial cog in our wedding machine and the experience was all the more better because of his invaluable contributions and experience. You can't go wrong here!
Truly, THE BEST DJ EVER! Cliche considering his name, but Michael really did provide us the Best Night EVER! From our first phone call, he was friendly, upfront with what he could provide, and got us soo excited to work with him. After the conversation, it was a definitely for us that we wanted him as our DJ. Finding a DJ for a wedding is a stressful thing - you can’t really “test them out” - you just have to trust that they’re great and find out if they live up to that day of. But let me tell y’all - Michael is AMAZING and does just that and sooo much more. He is super laid back, listened to what we wanted, and got the party GOING! He truly didn’t miss a beat - everything we asked for, he pulled through with on his end. It is also so stressful with wedding planning trusting a lot of vendors to do what they say they will do, but with Michael, I can assure you it will all be done and it will all be done great! From the ceremony set up, ceremony music/mics, to cocktail hour, to the dance floor - everything was perfect! And the BEST bang for your buck - everything is provided and he doesn’t charge extra for the “extras,” yet essentials, like a microphone or the dance floor lights. He includes it all in his very reasonable price. He caught all the vibes and kept the party going allll night long! He even got my husband and I refills on our drinks, took lots of videos/photos for us throughout the night, and was great and checking in with us without being too overbearing. Also, I think it is important to add he didn’t try to make our wedding a “presentation” or a “show” like a lot of DJs seem to do. He wasn’t talking over the mic constantly or trying to get people hype by talking to the crowd. I literally cannot say enough good things about him - I want to refer him to everyone I know! If you need a DJ for ANY event, choose Michael with Best Night Ever DJ and Events! You will NOT regret it!! We love him!!!!

Mike was AMAZING!! He truly lives up to the name best night ever DJ. I met him at a wedding expo right after my husband and I got engaged and his energy and helpful advice were so great!!! So I looked at his reviews and the amazing things people said about him made me book him right away. He was so helpful throughout the whole process and even made our rehearsal(we were lost on how it would flow). He guided us through the whole process because believe me he knows what he’s doing!!! He offered us drinks when he saw we didn’t have anything, talked to the guest not on a microphone behind his booth but out at the tables and ultimately just rocked!! My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend mike!!

We found Mike just by searching online for DJs for our wedding in Pawleys Island, SC. We live in Anderson, SC so it was hard for us to find vendors being so far away. When our live music entertainment cancelled 2 weeks prior to our wedding ceremony, we frantically searched for a replacement, sending out several emails in hopes of finding someone that could contribute to making our special day memorable, and then we received a reply from Mike. He was personable, professional and knew all the right questions to ask that we had not considered in order to make everything go smoothly. He was very good at communicating, formed our wedding day timeline with us, gave us tips and advice about planning the flow of the reception, and made adjustments on the fly as the night went on. I hired Mike for our wedding in May and I had a wonderful experience! He was extremely helpful and was always willing to answer my millions of questions. During our phone meeting, he walked me through the typical order and how it all worked. He also went around to the tables at my wedding and got song requests which gave everyone a chance to dance to what they enjoyed. Not only is he the best dj, but he is thoughtful as well. It shows that he has done many weddings. Prior to the reception starting and during cocktail hour while we were taking pictures, he came out to find myself and my husband to see if he could get us any drinks. Mike listens to EVERY word you say , to the point of if you have DO NOT PLAY songs... he will not play them unless the BRIDE or GROOM approves it!
He is superb at knowing when it comes to the genre of music you are looking for yet keeping it mixed up for the crowd and how you want your night to flow. He is super attentive to the guests , what they respond to dancing and mingling wise, and what is going on in the room as well.
We had our wedding at Oceanic Restaurant and Pier in Wrightsville Beach, NC on April 7, 2023 and it of course...Easter weekend..RAINED literally 15 mins before our ceremony start time. Our ceremony was to be on the pier so we had our guests notified that we were going to delay just a few minutes. The rain and wind created too much damp weather outdoors for us to have audio on the pier for our ceremony , Which turned out it stopped raining as we decided to walk down anyway to no music and it could not have turned out any more intimate and special! But in the middle of the reception, Mike ended up introducing the wedding party (Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, RingBearer, & Bride) to the music they were supposed to walk down the aisle to!!! It was such a special touch and we had no idea he was going to do this. It truly made our night!
Mike is super professional, he listens to your requests, makes sure you have what you need and want, and is in touch immediately if you need to chat. He has become a personal friend of ours since the wedding and as a fellow vendor in the wedding biz, he will always be the Dj I recommend for the coastal areas! Just hire the man already!

Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He’s a seasoned DJ who has done hundreds of weddings and it shows! He’s ready for any question or situation and provided us with tremendous guidance that helped make our event perfect. His music playlists were perfectly tailored and he did a great job keeping everything running smoothly all while taking requests from every table and making sure everyone heard the music they wanted to hear. Every interaction with Mike is a real pleasure, you can tell that he truly loves what he does. My husband and I couldn’t recommend him enough!
DJ Mike went above and beyond what I expected. We did not have a wedding planner so he acted as a day of coordinator without me even asking him to. We booked Michael (Best Night Ever DJ) at the Florence Bridal show on the spot way in advance of my daughters wedding. His enthusiasm is infectious, very personable and reliable and most of all FUN. We met Mike at a wedding showcase and ended up booking him on the spot! He was very helpful with all the questions we had and was accommodating with last minute change ups! Helped us throughout the day, keeping us on track and all around very organized. From the minute of us booking him to the day of, we knew what was going on. Mike was amazing. He is so organized and after his meeting I pretty much had my timelime done for the entire day! I threw a few curve balls at him one being forgetting to tell him that I added a reading to my ceremony but he adjusted and made it happen. Also two people who where in my bridal party got sick and didn't make it which was another adjustment. He communicated with be from the day I booked until even after our wedding day. A hurricaine hit just a day or 2 before and there was alot of stress for me worrying if it was going to stall and hit, or if there would he damage. Mike made sure to address everything, make sure we have a backup plan and help calm my nerves. 10/10 recommend him!!
Highly recommend using Mike as your DJ for your events! He did a fantastic job from building our timeline during the wedding planning process to having everyone dancing all night long. He showed up early to set up and was easy to work with! He not only listened to our wants, but our guests too! We loved that he went around to every table to ask everyone for song requests. He made our reception so fun! We had multiple comments throughout the night about how great of a DJ he was. We even asked if he could stay an extra hour and he was very flexible! Best Night Ever DJ truly helped make our wedding night the BEST NIGHT Ever. Planning was a breeze from the first communication. Michael listens and is supportive. We planned our wedding 900 miles in NY away utilizing email and messenger. He made it easy and smooth. We would highly recommend!!
This Dj goes above and beyond the job! Affordable pricing too! There was a lot of details to worry about before and the day of the wedding but this DJ was never a worry or an issue. He took special care into making sure the music was scheduled correctly. My mother doesn’t live here but he stepped in and walked my venue with me to make sure everything was planned like I wanted it. 11 out of 10!
The absolute best decision we made in our wedding planning! Mike helped walk us through the types of songs we may want to consider for different parts of ceremony and reception and guided us based on the kind of vibe we wanted to go for. He helped us set up our timeline for both ceremony and reception. He arrived early and get set up with battery powered mics for officiant and our own vow reading. Everyone commented on loving the music playing before the start of the ceremony (all him!). He kept people dancing and even made rounds to talk to most of our guests during dinner to ask if anyone had special song requests. He checked in with us through the day to ask if there was anything else or anything different we wanted to hear (even went and got us drinks during dinner!). He’ll remain a friend and an absolute 100% easy recommendation for others getting married.
Seriously the BEST DJ EVER. I mean that with every ounce of the words. Mike is so nice, he cares about even the smallest detail and it honestly makes a huge difference on the day of the wedding. I was super anxious and was sure I was going to pass out (or barf) waiting for the ceremony and he was the best cheerleader through it, which I couldn’t have appreciated more! The reception was so much fun and he took such care to make sure my husband and I were happy. And I’m glad to say thanks to his help, I did not pass out (or barf) and everyone really had an amazing time! Thank you SO much for everything!
Mike was very communicative and open to our requests during all the leading up to our wedding and the day of. He was kind, fun but formal, and attentive! Mike’s value is well beyond fair - you get a personable DJ who actually listens to your thoughts for what you want and just a genuinely nice person. He went out of his way to change the lighting for our reception to meet my OCD needs and always made sure my husband and I had a glass of wine or water in our hand all evening. He checked in on our friends and family and coordinated wonderfully with our planner and event staff. Mike is highly recommended in our book.
Mike DJed our wedding at Alhambra Hall. From our first FaceTime meeting he was super organized and professional. Throughout the process he was great at communicating and listened to everything we wanted.. including a list of Brazilian songs. The day of was perfect and everyone danced the night away. Highly recommend!

Michael did a fantastic job DJ’ing our wedding at the Litchfield Country Club in Pawleys Island. We were coming from out of state and he really made the whole process stress free. Michael worked with the venue and created a timeline for us, it was perfect. Every one of our guests danced the whole night! Best night of our lives! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.
BEST DJ EVER!!! from the moment we contacted him inquiring if he was available for our wedding Mike has been insanely helpful! Everyone that attended our wedding has been non-stop saying “you have the best dj” “your dj must have cost a fortune he was awesome!” Best part is he was waayyyyyy cheaper than anyone else and 100x nicer to us! He made our reception a non-stop dance party and it was truly the best night ever!!! If I could give him 10 stars I would! You must book him for your event!!!

Best DJ ever. Mike was an absolute dream of a DJ to work with, from our initial consultation meeting Mike was very caring, professional and accommodating. I immediately knew I booked the right guy. He is extremely responsive and patient and will craft the perfect playlist and flow of events for your special day. He kept the dance floor busy and everyone enjoyed his work. We had asked Michael to be our DJ after a friends recommendation and we could not have been any happier. He lives up to all the things said about him in these reviews and was a major part of what made our wedding perfect to us. He was willing ot travel for our wedding which was a relief from the start but he also was very helpful through the entire planning process. We had multiple video and phone calls that he was also flexible with our schedules, polite and professional. He set of the sound system for an outdoor ceremony in a field that allowed everyone to still hear the music, Pastor and Vows perfectly. And then he blew it out of the water when during the Reception. he was helpful with dismissing tables to get food while also distracting family so me and my husband could have some time alone to eat! We did not give him too much direction on the song choices and instead trusted him and he did not dissapoint. The dance floor was fulll all night and everyone loved the songs he played.
The biggest point I want to emphasize is that Michael was an ambsolutly amazing DJ but he was so much more than that on our wedding day. He was so helpful and involved in all the workings of the day to help give us our best night ever.

If you are in search of a responsive, intuitive, fun loving and professional DJ, look no further. I (the Bride) am an OCD Event Planner and Michael did not run away screaming. Anything and everything I brought to Michael was handled with an immediate response, and cheerfully to boot. This includes replying to numerous texts with questions that had absolutely nothing to do with music. He could not have been more helpful as I was planning my own wedding from 2 states away. I don't think I could have pulled it off without him. As far as the music goes, Michael was nothing short of perfect! I created a moment by moment timeline for the ceremony which required expert timing (cue musical reference here) and Michael killed it! Then, at the reception, he intuitively read the crowd playing the right song at the right time, easily including multiple requests while staying true to the the playlist including my list of favorites and dedications. I have no clue how he pulled this off, but rest assured, he did.
I cannot recommend Michael Marshall of Best Night Ever DJ and Events more highly! If you are in need of the perfect DJ, look no further.

He took time to understand exactly what atmosphere we wanted for our wedding, and offered recommendations to fully maximize our reception experience. Michael was helpful from the moment we booked him. When we had our video call before the wedding to go over song details, he asked many questions my mom nor I would have ever thought about!! In the days leading up to the wedding we messaged almost daily. It was very clear that he wanted to make this night so special for us. I can honestly say he exceeded our expectations! Michael has Personality plus and is a super fun guy!!! He kept us laughing and we are just so thrilled with how everything turned out. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that my DJ would bustle my dress but he did just that when my mom and best friend were having a hard time! He walked up and said I can help with that! My mom said right then and there, before we even had the reception that he was the best DJ ever. And he truly made last night the best night ever for my husband and I!! Thank you so much again for everything Michael!!

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon DJ Mike on Facebook. We truly had the best wedding night ever! Mike was so helpful, professional and made sure my husband and I had the best night! He got everyone up on the dance floor, we even had venue coordinators tell us they’ve never seen so many people up and dancing before! He truly is a great DJ and a great person overall! Mike gave great suggestions when we were stuck on a song choice and was there for us every step of the way! He provided lighting too which created the perfect ambience for our reception! Highly recommend!
