choosing our DJ was the one decision I felt completely confident in. Best Night Ever DJ and Events was the first vendor we booked. Our venue was 2-3 hours outside of his usual area, but thankfully he was willing to make the trip because I’m not sure the wedding would have come together without him! He kept up communication with us from the first phone call, made sure we were staying on track of wedding planning, helped us with song ideas for the ceremony, reached out to our Day-of Coordinator to help finalize our timeline, and most importantly, kept me from going crazy. Lol He played all our favorite songs, put together a great playlist, took requests, and had everyone on the dance floor. We didn’t invite a ton of guests, so I was worried we’d end up with most sitting around and a few brave people awkwardly dancing in the center. But Mike had us all dancing and singing the whole night. I was getting texts for the rest of the weekend about how much fun our wedding was. Mike really did make it the Best Night Ever!

We were all over the place with times and what we wanted.. Mike stepped up and said can I give you my suggestion. We are SO thankful for his advice to keep the night moving along, getting the important stuff done first to ensure we had plenty of party-dance time for two whole hours! He also surprised us with making a custom golf ball with our names on it (our theme was garden-golf) It was the sweetest gesture and warmed our hearts. He incorporated lighting near our columns of florals near the cake table truly making the cake stand out! Mike became more than a DJ - truly a friend. Our guests are still talking about Mike's charism and humor throughout the evening. He brought more than music to the table -- he announced where our guests traveled from and kept the crowd laughing with asking about old school AOL screennames. We were very concerned about not getting any time to eat during the wedding while we were at our sweet heart table and so graciously asked guests to let us have a few minutes to ourself. We were able to give Mike several songs for our ceremony, and reception entrance songs. My dad had a speech he wanted to make and as he was wrapping it up he wanted him to throw on a specific AC/DC song and Mike couldn't have timed that moment any better. For the reception my husband gave him a list of songs - not to play each one, just to get an idea of our style for the wedding.. and to add the cherry on top he went around to each table to ask for song requests. I've been to numerous weddings and have never seen such a kind gesture to incorporate our guests. Mike had our guests partying until the VERY end, and he was the reason why we have so many awesome videos captured to last a longtime. For the wedding, we got everything from him-ceremony music, lighting for the reception, the monogram and photobooth. He did a wonderful job with each of these items. I loved the monogram on the wall and the guests rocked the photo booth and dance floor all night long. He kept the party going for sure. I appreciate the wedding planner for fixing our plates of food for us during the reception and for Mike grabbing our drinks for us so we didn't have to get up. It was nice to sit and relax at our sweetheart table after standing through a ceremony and then an hour of pictures before the reception started.

He just gives off such good vibes and actually loves what he does and it truly shows in his actions. Fast forward a few weeks later I decided to book, sent an email to Mike, and we set up a time to talk. Once we had a phone call, he sent his one page contract to me which I signed and sent back. Very straightforward and simple. Something you don’t come across often these days, most contracts are almost 5-10 pgs with complicated wording. Mike then sent me his “wedding planner tool” which lists everything you’ll need to make decisions on. About a year and half later my husband and I met up with mike to discuss everything to expect on the wedding day. Then that night he sent us his amazing very simple timeline of events. Mike gave us a lot of advice and answered a lot of our dumb questions along the way. He really knows his stuff and has done so many weddings, he knows what works well and what doesn’t work well. He will be upfront and honest but if you still want something different he will do whatever you want on your day. it’s nice to have someone like him during the wedding planning process who knows what the hell to do lol. During this 2 year planning process Mike, my husband and I actually became friends with the abundance of phone calls/ texts between us. Planning a wedding is not easy, especially ours which was 160 people and the venue only came with tables and chairs. We are extremely fortunate to have found Mike at that bridal expo because he sure is a diamond in the ruff. A few other things mike did for us: 1. during our cocktail hour when we were taking photos he got us a drink and then stood there with our drink on the side running in to give us a sip on pose changes 2. He communicated with us the entire night 3. He got us food and drinks during dinner and guarded our table so we didn’t get bombarded while we ate - this was HUGE. something my wedding coordinator should have been doing but she wasn’t so Mike stepped in. Another one of those things he knows happens at weddings and is prepared for. 4. He won’t let anybody do any crazy things on the microphone before asking you first. My aunt actually asked to sing my husband and I a song on the microphone. We said yes and it was terrible but point is that Mike double checked with us first. I could go on at the abundance of things Mike did for us on our wedding day. He even got my husband and I refills on our drinks, took lots of videos/photos for us throughout the night, and was great and checking in with us without being too overbearing. Also, I think it is important to add he didn’t try to make our wedding a “presentation” or a “show” like a lot of DJs seem to do. He wasn’t talking over the mic constantly or trying to get people hype by talking to the crowd. I literally cannot say enough good things about him - I want to refer him to everyone I know!
