ne call, we knew we were working with experienced professionals. John sent us a thorough information and question packet which helped us plan every detail, including a lot of things we weren't even thinking about. He worked seamlessly with our vendors and when we showed up on the day of our wedding, everything was in place and perfect. Make sure to check "Yes" for the interact with guests question on the survey because you will be absolutely blown away. John got every single one of our tables engaged and on to the dance floor with singalongs, competitions, and the BEST props. We knew our day was going to be great, but we couldn't have ever expected the amount of fun we and every one of our guests would have. Thank you John, you helped us have the perfect party!

was running smoothly! The song list is very extensive and the planning sheet made sure every detail was covered! The sound was perfect for the ceremony and everything ran smoothly! And let me tell you what the reception was an absolute party! People of all ages and both the bride and groom side were having a blast! The dancefloor was packed the entire night! They kept the crowd engaged with fun games and it really got people to feel comfortable and hit the dance floor! They gave out awesome props that everyone loved and the best table prize winners were so excited! We have had tons of guests say how amazing the DJ was! This is something that can really make or break your wedding day! But if you book with John, you are in for an awesome party!

Our DJ was Derek, who was very professional and easy to work with, remained very relaxed and not like a "hype man" DJ, and played every one of our "must plays" at exactly the right time - EXACTLY what we were looking for. We would recommend Best of Times and Derek to anyone looking for a "relaxed" DJ as we were. Our only advice is just to make sure you have a thorough call with your DJ just to make sure everyone's clear on any preferences you'd like for your day, especially if there's anything you absolutely do or absolutely don't want.

bringing toys and props for all of our guests, old and young, to playing a wonderful selection of music, they really hit all of the marks. Even planning leading up to the big day was comprehensive and really, a breeze. An important added bonus for both of us was also that Best of Times is LGBTQ+ friendly. We would truly recommend this company over and over. Friendly, professional, thorough, considerate and so much fun, you can't go wrong!

My favorite thing John did was take a song from my dinner play list That's Amore and made it special and made up little papers for the tables with the words and incorporated it into a fun sing along with the guests. Such a wonderful fun touch!!!! Overall I would highly recommend Best of Time's DJs for your next event .

we requested and had so many light up props to keep the party going all night long. Everybody kept telling us how much fun they had and the amazing energy felt at the event. I cannot recommend them enough!

rked without any glitches -The guests consistently stayed on the dance floor -They have great recommendations for all the different parts of the wedding ceremony (processional, recessional, introduction of the couple) -I have some truly crazy family members that are honestly a bit unstable, and one of the two guys with BOTDJs spent a very large amount of time dancing with, talking with, and just overall keeping very good control of these 2 family members. It was not part of their job at all but they did it consistently and it really helped the night by a lot Negatives: The general idea is that we spent an incredibly long time filling out this extensive form BOTDJs requires you to fill out. It has family names, order of operations, requested songs, last dance song, do not play list, etc. Our DJ definitely had that form, and we discussed this on the phone not once but twice to ensure he had all the songs on the list, but then they royally messed up multiple things -Right before our ceremony started, with all of our guests sitting there, he had a VERY explicit song playing along the lines of "open dat ass up bitch"...NOT great. -We got completely blindsided - he had this whole weird sing-along to That's Amore, for which he put sing-along cards on every table and he asked all of our guests to sing along to this song. And he NEVER TOLD US HE WAS GOING TO DO THIS. We just started dancing to it a minute in because it was awkward and confusing. I get having fun with a wedding, but you should NOT blindside the couple with wedding-wide sing-alongs without checking that it's okay first -He did NOT play most of the songs we requested, including the ones where we said they HAD to be played (culturally important songs). We also put on the form "no country music" and like the 10th song of the night was country. So it's weird when he doesn't play the songs we say need to be played, but does play the songs we ask him not to play. To be clear, we did have a Russian-American wedding so there were some unusual song requests, but he specifically said he had the songs we wanted then ended up not playing the majority of them.  -At the end of the night they came up and asked "hey is there a last song you want to play", despite the fact that we had written all of this down on their super long form! Like, what was the point of us doing that very long form if you're not going to even read it?! The DJ then said "now for our last song of the night" and played....New York. And asked everyone to circle around us and do the rockette kick. I'm not kidding. THEN he said "now for our last dance of the night" and finally played our last dance song.  So yeah, there were just a LOT of weird moments, not honoring our requests, blindsiding us with schticks that we wouldn't have said yes to if asked. The party succeeded despite the DJs, not thanks to them. They were very nice, and they went above and beyond for the party itself, but their base level job as DJs we are not very happy with. If we had to choose again we would go with a different company.

h and were happy to answer the numerous questions i had about the sequence of events for the reception. they always responded promptly when unable to answer the phone (which didn't happen often, they always picked up!). Great company to work with and i HIGHLY recommend them to any newlyweds looking to make their wedding unforgettable.

with before and on the day of. The greatest bonus was all the light up props they handed out to guests! It made for an elevated party and all the kids and adults loved it. They also did a contest where one of our guests won a discount or full (I am not sure) services! Best of Times is both affordable but also well worth the money and experience. I strongly recommend them!
