nd I were excited to partner with Paul for our ceremony. After meeting with Paul and a few other officiants, we felt that Paul's style best suited our vision and we asked him to be the officiant for our big day. We had the one initial meeting via Skype and corresponded with Paul via the occasional email for the rest of the planning process. Paul was helpful throughout the process and worked with us through two date changes due to the pandemic. Things went downhill fast as our wedding date finally approached. The week of our wedding, I received an email from Paul followed by a text message informing us that he would no longer be officiating our wedding. He offered to have a colleague stand in for him. We were shocked to receive this communication for quite a few reasons. It was the week of our wedding and to get this change last minute was jarring. We specifically wanted to work with Paul because we enjoyed our video meeting with him and felt that he understood our vision. To be jostled to an officiant we’d never met at the last minute right before our wedding did not sit well with us. I'm sure the other officiant is good at what he does but we certainly did not want our first meeting with him to be at the alter! Not to mention that Paul did not call us with this change to give us a warm introduction to the stand-in officiant so that we could at least share with him our story as a couple. When we expressed our concerns to Paul he offered to move things around so that he could officiate our wedding and have his colleague officiate the wedding he had bumped us for. Paul said that he forgot that we met virtually and he didn’t realize that having him officiate our wedding meant anything to us. At this point, we were not comfortable with Paul officiating our ceremony. He is in a business where emotional intelligence is critical and to be unaware that a couple would care about who officiates their wedding ceremony is appalling. We asked Paul to return our $265 deposit as we no longer felt comfortable partnering with Best Wedding Officiant; however, Paul was unwilling to return our money. In the end, we lost the deposit and Paul profited for one 30-minute video call and a few email exchanges. To my now husband and I, the lost money was worth it in order to have our ceremony officiated by someone who cared. Our wedding was low priority for Best Wedding Officiant. This was evidenced by the fact that they bumped our wedding the week of to accommodate another wedding. If Paul had called us to discuss the changes that would have made us feel like he at least cared to some extent. We are very shocked and disheartened by our experience with Best Wedding Officiant.

I asked him to please stop contacting me and told him that I felt it was very disrespectful to ask me if my wedding was called off - and he continued to call/text me several more times asking if I still needed an officiant. I ended up having to block his number to make it stop. VERY unprofessional.

We were able to pick out what was important to us and what we wanted included in our ceremony, sent it right to Paul, who always replied super quickly, he sent us back a draft, we signed off on it and that was all we had to do! Paul speaks very well, held everyone's attention, our ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point. (We got a ton of compliments on it as well!) He filed our marriage license for us with the town and told us exactly how to get it. We are definitely happy with our choice of using Paul and would recommend!! Thank you Paul!

wanted to keep things really short.

credit there he was very persistent, so last month we finally decided to book him for our wedding, so we used PayPal to pay Paul, after we paid him we realized we over paid him, not by much only by 25 dollars so my wife emailed Paul to let him know that we over paid him he responded with "I gave you guys the deal of a life time so the overage you paid me pretty much covers the taxes" could not believe the response we just received gave us both a terrible taste in our mouth but at this point we were too close to the wedding and he was already on our marriage license so we took it on the chin. IT GETS WORSE lets fast forward to sunday 10/22/17 the day me and my wife tie the knot the most important day of our lives.... our wedding was set to start at 4pm the venue didn't have us walk out until 430 to make sure everyone was there for us to walk out.... 4pm comes around Paul has the nerve to go to the bridal suite and grab my wife and complain to here that the ceremony was supposed to start at 4 not 430 and that he had another wedding that was booked and now were going to cut into there time, she apologized and stated it was not our fault, (never once said anything to me by the way) lets fast forward to 430pm, were at the alter his saying his things we get to the vows Paul completely shortened our vows and left out everything except for once line for us to repeat our ceremony was no longer then 5 minutes..... I can not make any of this up he was a complete joke we didn't let him ruin our day but he was so bad even the venue the Hamilton manor who referred him apologized deeply for how much a joke this guy was and took him off of their vendor list please people don't trust this guy he was completely unprofessional and down right terrible Please take your time to read this it s a big day for people don't let someone like this guy ruin it he even gave him self a good google review referring to him self in third person praising himself should have been the first red flag

ll the payments it takes to plan a wedding, I accidentally overpaid him. When I brought it to his attention he told me “That about covers the tax I have to pay. I typically charge 500 so you are getting the deal of the lifetime”. On my actual wedding day he pulled me out of my Bridal suite to complain about the ceremony not starting at 4... it was 4:08 when he complained. He told me that he doubled booked weddings and that the other bride would have to suffer because of me. During my ceremony he cut out our vows. COMPLETELY OUT. We said no vows. Every single one of my guest pointed out how completely unprofessional he was and could tell something was not right. My venue could not believe the lack of professionalism he had and due to his actions he is completely off the vendors list. Please do not be fooled by these great reviews like I was.

Paul was very flexible and came earlier as requested, to sign our Marriage license before the ceremony to make our day run smoother. Paul assured me that if the day of I was too nervous he would say them and we would repeat back- which ended up happening. We also took the beer unity from his website as well which was a big hit! ALL and I mean ALL of our guests thought Paul was flawless. His execution and eye contact were noticed. If you want an amazing officiant and experience use Paul as your officiant!

eremony we chose (a literal tying of the knot) I had to YouTube how to tie this special sailors knot with two pieces of rope because the directions provided by Paul were a little confusing. I also had to go out to Home Depot and buy my own strands of rope for the ceremony. Again, considering how much Paul costs I was a little annoyed at having to go out and buy my own supplies.

He was professional from the start, and the whole process was seamless. When I called him, he was available to talk right away and then my husband and I met him shortly after. We decided to go with Paul immediately, and gave him a deposit. He emailed us sample scripts, and then we decided on what fit our vision for our wedding. We wanted it short and sweet. Paul officiated the ceremony with his charming personality, and delivered the vows just the way we wanted. He was always available by email, or phone if we had a question, which made it incredibly worry free when so much other planning is taking place! Before the wedding date, he confirmed with us the details on when he would be arriving, and final payment info. Our guests complimented us during the receiving line and throughout the wedding on how nicely the ceremony was prepared. We are in and out of training and deployments, and every priest we spoke to said that we had to be affiliated with a church and go through weeks of pre marriage courses and interviews. We were cutting it so close in my mind I didn't know if we were actually going to be able to make it work. My wedding planner got me in touch with Paul and we couldn't have been more blessed, we were saved! He worked wonderfully with the Rabbi. He gave us plenty of options on how we wanted the service to go, and he was extremely flexible with my time constraints (being so close to the wedding). Thank you paul for everything, our special day wouldn't have been the same with out you being a part of it!
