Hired Robin and Janine for my wedding on May 5th, 2022. We initially had a zoom call last year and we all seemed to really click, so I hired them. As time went on, it was a bit har...
d to get a hold of them in attempts to discuss the day of music and what not. That was understandable, considering it is one of the busiest wedding seasons. I eventually got a chance to inform them of what specific songs we wanted for our ceremony. Fast forward to the day of, the ceremony begins, my nervous husband tells them it’s the wrong song (he was wrong- it actually was the right song) So, in my opinion, once this happened they should have stopped everything and all music to confirm with the bride and groom exactly what should be played. Instead, they guessed and played a random Cat Stevens song that no one ever told them to play. This then caused the situation to get worse, and more chaotic. Then they changed the music again mid-song to the song that I (the bride) was supposed to walk down to. However, the wedding party was only half way down the isle. So the timing was completely off. I understand mistakes happen, but I believe they handled this issue in a very inexperienced and unprofessional way. This was one of the most important moments I had been looking forward to for the past two years. Over and over this played in my head as the day grew closer. To add insult to injury, neither Robin or Janine apologized for the mishaps or their mistakes (and still haven’t!). I think this outcome could have totally been avoided if they were more experienced and better with communicating.

oughtful about our music and sound needs.
Janine, our DJ, took the time to truly listen to the type of vibe we wanted and had a few brainstorm sessions with us to curate the perfect song lists. Janine is both knowledgable and genuinely interested in different kinds of music. I provided her some Indian music very last minute and she expertly wove them into dinner reception and dance floor music. She’s also very kind, friendly and easy to work with. We loved working with her before and during the event!
Robin, our sound engineer, is talented at his craft. Our sound needs were a little complicated - our venue had volume limitations and restrictions on placement of speakers. We also had a one hour Indian ceremony that had a blend of live music, singing and speaking at the microphone of multiple people. Robin took the time to understand the requirements and devised clever ways of making sure our guests had a great sound experience.
We were so happy with our choice of using Best Wedding Sound for our wedding! Thank you Janine and Robin!
