Hello Future Brides, Grooms and Host of Events, My name is A’undie Specht and I am the Sales and Catering Manager at the Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center and your go to wedding guru! I am so excited to bring all my knowledge of weddings and event hosting to you! I have hosted over the years a combination of over 5000 events ranging from birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, anniversary, fashion shows, award ceremonies, pageants, symphonies, fundraisers, political, celebrity meet and greets, silent and live auctions, along with vendor events.

I liked the venue. We had our ceremony in the Symposium Room. It was not your traditional way to have a wedding. Very cozy and small. Just the way that we wanted it.

The whole process was very smooth at the Best Western. We selected our date and just went down the line from there. They give you the banquet room for free if you have a food order...

of a certain amount, and they are very clear about that in their advertising. Their food was delicious and priced well in line with other places around town. During the reception the staff was right on with everything. I could not have asked for better service there. The only thing that I can think of that would be better is to not charge so much for some of the extras with their decorating, such as lights on the trees and netting on the tables. We went without these extras and brought in our own table decorations. We had a guest reserve list of about 140 and the price was about $3000 total with tax and gratuity. They also give free appitizers with certain purchases as well.
