Best Western Plus Hood River Inn

sal dinner at a Best Western. However, I was proven wrong... the food was delicious, thoughtful, and local... they catch the salmon right there in the river! Lisa Willis was also incredible during the planning process and put all of our fears at ease with prompt, clear, and organized communication. I have worked in restaurants and events for a long time, and she is a true professional who clearly knows what she is doing! She even made a last minute judgement call to move the dinner inside, and saved us all from sizable rainstorm. The room was set up perfectly, and we still had an absolutely breathtaking view of the river. The staff was also wonderful, kind, and welcoming throughout the evening... congratulating us, and coming to the rescue during a freak wine spill. All our guests loved their experience... clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with a beautiful view and great amenities! The bar was an excellent spot to gather with everyone throughout the weekend... more gracious and caring staff here too! The only reason that we did not leave a 5 star review was that when we reserved the block of rooms, they did not offer any sort of discount, and the majority of our guests actually found significantly less expensive rooms by making reservations outside the block. This didn't really make sense to me.

uring and after our wedding (which took place on June, 2016), from top to bottom, we were dealt with the finest quality service from all staff members. But in particular, I have to point out Dean's excellency. He was so kind and helpful throughout. He answered our (many) questions and concerns with class and the utmost of manners. We truly felt completely taken care of because of his hard work and dedication to the event. He always had a kind smile on his face, (which during a wedding planning process is extremely comforting!!!!). We thank Dean and his staff for making our day the best ever and the epitome of elegance. We will not hesitate in referring anyone we know to the hood river inn for future events. Thanks you Dean and The Hood River Inn for contributing and fulfilling the best day of our lives!

ter. The staff member we worked with on the rehearsal dinner was extremely flexible and helped us plan a meal that fit with our taste and expectations. Let me just say that numerous wedding guests said it was one of the best meals they've ever had, let alone at a rehearsal dinner. The view of the Columbia River Gorge from the hotel is breathtaking as well, and was the perfect icing on the cake to a wonderful visit. We will most definitely be back to stay and relive our wonderful wedding weekend. I cannot recommend the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn enough!

k. The ceremony was right on the river's edge -- what a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony and our photos! From start to finish, the catering and events staff were a total class act to work with. Lisa Willis, the Catering Manager, was wonderful every step of the way as we chose our menu and decided on the details, and everything was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. She was so easy to work with and it took a huge load off of my shoulders to not worry about anything. I also want to mention Caroline, who was the manager on-site during the wedding and just took care of every little thing that came up. Her staff was great and very professional. Juvenal set up the room that morning and was so kind and helpful as we ran around decorating. I can't tell you how nice it was the day of my wedding to just not worry about the details. I had every confidence it would just be handled and that confidence was well-placed. The food was amazing too, and we received many compliments. Everything went according to plan and our guests all commented on how beautiful the venue was. Our hotel room was well-appointed and comfortable, and the river view is worth it. I would highly recommend the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn for any wedding or special celebration in the future.

el's mind set was "we've got this covered no need to worry the bride by emailing back and forth". The were personable. I was able to show visiting friends the space. Two weeks out from the wedding they called me to let me know that they just set up a new light system that can be used upon request. I LOVED the idea and used the lights. It looked wonderful. Most of all, the night before the wedding we realized we would not be able to use the church for a slide show. We called the hotel and they set two screens that we could show it on, and managed to do it in a way that looked professional and planned all along!

actual breakfast was included. Not just muffins and coffee.
