When we began wedding planning, finding a great photography team was at the top of our to-do list. From the first conversation with them, we knew they were exactly the people we were looking for. Rather than feeling like an interview or sales pitch, we got to know one another to ensure we were a good match for them and them for us. This really made as feel as though we were not just another client on the list, but rather a couple whose love story Beth and John were enthusiastic about capturing. We had the unique experience of having Beth and John capture our engagement shoot over 2,200 miles away in Arches National Park, Utah. Let us start by saying that Beth and John are absolute LEGENDS as they hiked in 30 degree weather through Arches National Park to shoot us at 6AM for the ultimate sunrise photos. They were even more ready to adventure than we were AND the photos came out * S T U N N I N G *. They directed us every step of the way and helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera, even despite the glares of some grumpy morning tourists. Fast forward one year to our wedding, and Beth and John came through once again like no one else could--with of course, the beautiful photos, but also the preparedness and professionalism that is so necessary on your wedding day. From getting ready photos to family group photos to our golden hour photos, they captured every photo we could've asked for & more. They went above and beyond! For example, Beth and John scoured our hotel grounds to find the most cinematic angle of the Downtown St. Pete skyline for the backdrop of our first look. They have a great eye and are true artists. They jumped from towering natural landscapes to downtown cityscapes without missing a beat, capturing the beauty of the diverse settings we requested. As our wedding day progressed, the timeline prepared by Beth and John was lifesaving. If we were ever off-schedule, we weren't made aware of it as Beth and John practiced such professionalism that prevented us from experiencing any stress on our big day. They made sure to capture all of our intimate moments without distracting from the emotion of the day. Bottom line is Beth and John were such a critical part of our engagement and our wedding. When looking for a photographer, we wanted someone who made us feel comfortable (kissing in public can be strange), guided us for the best shots, and captured the raw emotion of our relationship. Beth and John have mastered these skills, and have all the best qualities that you hope to surround yourself with on your wedding day--patience, enthusiasm, and organization. We couldn't be more thankful for their kindness, professionalism, and artistry. We know we will be bragging about them for years to come and showing their pictures to our grandchildren someday.

They took the most amazing and beautiful photos of our wedding! The photographer was so sweet and really listened to our ideas and was very eager to help us see our ideas to fruition. She went out of her way to bring along her own props to help make our photos look more magical like a pretty ring box and things like that for our detail photos. She was also very on top of things and made sure to get all of the photographs we wanted. I absolutely recommend them. We can't imagine our wedding without Beth and John! We ended up having to plan four weddings and with each new date, we first checked that our parents could make it, and then our next call was to Beth and John. With all the craziness of 2020, they were right by our side (even sending a gift basket when our original wedding was cancelled!). They helped us plan all the new dates, navigated a few venue changes, and ultimately helped us plan our dream wedding with 6 weeks notice. Not only do they show up for you on the day of the wedding, but they also put so much work in ahead of time to ensure the day runs smoothly. I always knew they were the perfect choice, but on our wedding night it was confirmed when all of our friends kept coming up to us telling us how fun and perfect Beth and John are! Beth and John are fantastic photographers and people. I found Beth Joy Photography through instagram, what really got me to contact Beth was their Walt Disney World photos. Once getting in contact it felt so natural talking to Beth and John and after this experience I definitely feel like my Husband and I created friends and not just wedding vendors in the end. We had our engagement photos with them at Disney and they eased our minds with the whole session. They knew both of us were so nervous and walked both my husband and I through the whole thing and the photos were amazing. Oh my gosh where do I even begin, Beth and John are truly amazing. My fiance and I wanted to do engagement photos in disney. I was able to go find them on Instagram and immediately fell in love with the work they do. I felt warmth coming from their first response right away. We scheduled a time to meet in disney and she was very prompt and sent me all the details immediately. Before our engagement shoot, I was pretty nervous, once we started I was immediately comfortable. They made us have fun and laugh. We as a couple felt that we could truly be ourselves and they were able to capture that in the photos. Not only were we in a place where we loved, with ones we loved but it was being photographed. We just received the photos back today and I honestly have no words, they are just perfect!!!!I couldn't recommend Beth and John more. Beth Joy Photography was by far the best decision we made when it came to wedding planning. I looked at a zillion different photographers, and couldn’t be happier that we booked with them! They made the entire planning process so much easier and were always available to answer my many questions. They were so warm & friendly, and were even more amazing to work with in person when we met them for our engagement session. When it came to the wedding day, they were on the ball and were literally everywhere to capture every single moment. I had so many of our guests tell me how great our photographers were, and our photos are just extra proof of that. Their work is gorgeous, and attention to detail is spot on! They were by far my favorite vendor we booked for our wedding, although it feels silly calling them vendors when they feel more like friends. We are so glad they were there to capture our special day, and we would book them again in a heartbeat!

Beth Joy Photography was the best decision we made!! Beth and John are so enjoyable to work with. Not only do they make you feel comfortable, but they read the environment and adapt to what you need. I had some issues my coordinator at the wedding. They gave me time when I needed it and moved things along quickly when I felt pinched for time. They also took on some of the coordinator responsibilities that were dropped - literally doing everything to make sure the day went as smoothly as possible. And, of course, the photos are stunning - I’ve received so many compliments! I would recommend them over and over and over. Worth every single penny!!

Beth and John are amazing! I was trying to find a last minute photographer even though I had small intimate wedding we wanted pictures. Beth and John booked me 2 weeks before and worked with my budget! They were even able to give location suggestions for the Linda of shots I wanted. They were so sweet and nice! And PUNCTUAL which is a huge win from me! My photos turned out phenomenal and were done in 2 weeks (we didn’t get married during the busy wedding season). There was a wide selection of photos, some edited with the originals still available as well! Obtaining the pics was easy as well! If we ever plan our big wedding like we want I will definitely REBOOK!

Beth and John are amazing to work with. My wife requested me to meet with all of our of vendors throughout the planning process. We did not schedule any other meetings after getting to know these two. They were on time with getting our photos back to us and they were great to work with on our wedding day. If you are searching for beautiful, real photos that capture every moment of your big day, you will not be disappointed with Beth Joy Photography! I do not even know where to begin with Beth and John - we had such an amazing experience with them!! I love pictures and this was one of the most important aspects of our wedding to me. My husband and I got married in April of 2017 in Northern Michigan. I had high hopes for pictures and even then I was blown away! Beth and John are very knowledgeable and highly skilled. They gave us great advice for pictures, put in the extra effort to make sure they captured the scenery of our destination venue (the first time they had been to Castle Farms), were so accommodating and receptive to our input, and took gorgeous photos. From just a few conversations I felt like they knew us so well and what was important to us in our pictures. We are a three person family and Beth Joy made sure to help us capture both pictures of us as a couple and family ones as well. We even had our puppy join the family for engagement pictures! Photographing a child and puppy is not the easiest of tasks but Beth and John pulled it off beautifully. The whole family had fun taking pictures with Beth Joy - both at our engagement shoot and on the big day! We did engagement and wedding photos with Beth Joy Photography and on both occasions we received beautiful pictures very quickly. We even had sneak peaks before the pictures were all ready! Our engagement pictures were taken in December too so we were shocked to have our pictures back so fast during that busy month with the holidays. Bethany and John and THE BEST!! We just got married this past weekend and are so grateful that we had Bethany and John there to capture the day!! First of all, they are so friendly and fun! We met with them a few weeks before the wedding and it felt like meeting two old friends! Throughout the wedding planning process, Bethany was always available to answer any questions I had about our photo plan or just about wedding planning in general! On our actual wedding day it rained and rained and rained. They didn't blink an eye and quickly helped come up with a back-up plan for photos! I swear I didn't see them sit down for 12 hours straight, I don't think they missed a single moment at our wedding! Whether it was Bethany standing in the rain or John taking large family portraits of 30+ people while standing on a chair at the venue, they always went ABOVE AND BEYOND! All of the unedited photos they showed us throughout the night were amazing! They truly captured those small moments throughout the day that make the night so magical! Beth and John were absolutely amazing! They tailored a package to fit my needs and budget. Once they showed up, I didn't even have to do anything. They took care of it all. They're very flexible, too. We had a timeline for how the family portraits/bridal party/bride and groom photos would go, but nobody ended up being in the spot they were supposed to when they were supposed to. Bethany and John totally rolled with it, and we just worked with whoever was available. They were direct, professional, and didn't waste any time. My ultimate goal was to be able to make happy hour (we took our photos after the ceremony but before reception), and in that tight hour-and-a-half, we managed to get all the photos we wanted and then some! Best part was we were able to even make cocktail hour. I just received my photos a few weeks ago and just can't stop looking through them. They're gorgeous! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. If you want your photos to look better than all your friend's wedding photos (wink wink), Beth Joy Photography is the way to go :)

Beth and John are a DREAM TEAM!!!!!! Several months before the wedding they send a wedding questionnaire asking about all of the details of your wedding, making sure that they capture every detail, including the details you especially want to be captured! They are so much fun to work with, super nice, extremely organized, flexible, and extremely talented!!! They capture every precious detail, looking at our photos makes me feel like we're getting married all over again!!! I can't say enough great things about them! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!

After weeks of searching, emailing, and bookings falling through, my husband came across Beth Joy Photography on Instagram. She was "new-ish" to the scene, within our price range, and her photos were lovely! We reached out and from then on it was a DREAM. Bethany and her husband John are SO talented and friendly. Working with them was literally the easiest part of my wedding planning. They were so flexible when we met for our engagement photos; my husband is *not a fan* of being in front of a camera, and this often comes across as him looking uncomfortable and unhappy in a photo. Bethany and John made us laugh and feel pretty and comfortable, and our photos turned out natural and perfect! I cannot express what a miracle that is. When it came time for the wedding, Bethany and John came to our city early and shot our rehearsal so they could get a feel for the church and ceremony. This was really helpful because they could touch base with the planner and make sure to be in the right spots, as our church was particular about where the photographers could be. It was so awesome of them to come early so we could all be ready for the big day! FINALLY, on our wedding day, these two were amazing. They got all the details, photos of both my husband and myself getting ready, and everything we wanted before the ceremony, even though the time crunch seemed crazy. The photos they took of our ceremony and the bridal party sessions are nothing short of breathtaking. The couple knows how to manage a crowd of excited people, take funny and cute group photos, and glamorous, loving couple portraits. They also captured our reception and guests so wonderfully, and even the late-night dancing photos look lovely! This couple is such a wonderful team; they communicate with each other so well and the outcome is just perfect. They are sweet, friendly, dedicated, flexible, responsive, easy to work with (and once you link them with your other vendors you don't have to worry about coordinating anything!) which is PRICELESS when you are planning a wedding. Then of course you get amazing photos within the promised time frame. We still can't decide which to print because there are SO MANY that we love. Also, Bethany has the couple prepare an outline with details that help her and John (what combination of family photos you want, what special items you'll have, what time to arrive at different locations, etc), but ultimately helps YOU with planning. I used her outline as a basis for my master timeline, and it helped me be sure I wasn't forgetting anything. It's so helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this team, and would recommend them to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

There are truly no words to describe what a blessing Bethany and her husband, John, are, not only to us but our family and children to come. Honestly, Bethany was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. Bethany is truly an above and beyond photographer. Her and her husband John are totally a dream team and on the day of the wedding, they helped us stay on timeline and gave great direction (something a lot of photographers forget to do! This is so important for brides who aren't used to modeling like me and my fiance were!), and were just in general total sweethearts. They helped to make you feel so comfortable and their style is so soft and romantic! They filled in the gaps as needed and trust me when I tell you that I gave them quite a doozy of a timeline, but they still managed to capture all of the important details! We had so many traditions from merging two different cultures (Austrian and Taiwanese) so it was so much fun for them to capture all of our little details for us! They truly did a wonderful job and I can't stop recommending them to everyone! They are very reasonably priced and they certainly do travel to different locations! Check their website to see which locations they will give you a good deal for, and they are such sweet people, you can ask them anything! They were so easy to talk to and so easy to work with. They perfectly captured the rustic farm wedding that we were striving for! Protip, ask her for florist recommendations! She also knows some great florists!
