Beth Mailand, Harpist

Beth came recommended by another harpist who no longer plays weddings and other events. I contacted her and a few others and decided on Beth after listening to her version of a few songs as compared to the others. Communication was good throughout the selection process. She said she'd arrive at the venue an hour or so prior to the start of the ceremony. On the day of, Beth called my now husband to ask him for help loading in her equipment; this was never discussed prior to that day. Also she told me she wouldn't begin playing until the final payment was in her hand (I thought odd but was ok with it) and she made sure our caterer (who was not serving as a day of planner) came to ask me for her check before she'd start playing. She played beautifully but we were a little put off by the communication breakdown on the day of (she apparently called my husband several times to demand help).
