Bethany & Dan did an incredible job capturing our wedding in May 2022. Their photographs showcased the day as we wanted to remember it - a combination of candids and posed pictures featuring all the emotions, vibes, and our surroundings. We loved their creativity and energy. Outside of their work, Bethany & Dan were wonderful to work with. Due to Covid, our June 2020 wedding was postponed 3 times. They were extremely accommodating, which made the overall process easy, fun and stress free. They are genuinely great people and couldn’t recommend them more!

Of course, the compliments will come rolling in after you share Bethany and Dan's photos. But even better is the experience on the day. We decided to elope on Peaks Island and it was perfect, in large part because Bethany and Dan helped to make the experience so magical and gorgeous. If you want to take jaw-dropping photos out in nature and don't mind trailing your fancy clothes through sand, forest, and waves, these are the photographers for you. They're genuine, funny, and great people too. We can't recommend them highly enough.

We had both our engagement photos as well as wedding performed by Bethany and Dan. They are some of the coolest and creative people we have ever met! They are so relaxed and funny, it made working with the, so easy. I am not comfortable being the center of attention or having my photo taken, but they did a wonderful job making me feel at ease. In addition to all of that, their work is gorgeous and so creative. We didn’t want cookie cutter, stereotypical photos but something more artistic and they hit that out of the park. We loved working with them and can’t recommend them highly enough!

Beth and Dan saved us when we unexpectedly lost our original wedding photographer, and we couldn't be more grateful to have worked with them. They're creative, thoughtful, extremely responsive and so fun. We did not have a videographer for the wedding and were initially worried that the feel of the wedding or important moments wouldn't be captured but Dan and Beth left captured EVERYTHING and EVERYONE <3. It was amazing going through our album, like reliving the whole day over. They really know how to capture the emotion and energy of an event. You can tell that they love what they do. They're inspired, excited to try new shots, and willing to climb/wade/crawl/get dirty for it. We have so many photographs that we absolutely love and have had the hardest time choosing which to print. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you for everything!

Bethany and Dan were great not only were they professional but also fun to be around and party with. We would definitely be friends and go surfing with Dan if we were local to Maine. They performed all photo groups we asked for plus added their own creative perspective to some shots came out great and that is something you can’t but. They are both talented in what they do and most importantly, you can tell they enjoy it which is a plus since it is your wedding day! Some friends even asked if they are willing to travel to another country to do a wedding shoot!

Bethany and Dan were amazing, from the first call to the final pictures! They answered endless questions and made us feel relaxed throughout the process. On the day you’ll probably be photographed more than any other day in your life I can recommend Bethany and Dan enough. As you can see from the samples the pictures turned out amazing!

Bethany and Dan were wonderful to work with for our elopement! They made us feel so comfortable during our session, and the pictures turned out amazing. They met with us a few times before the ceremony to make sure we were on the same page were incredibly helpful as we chose a location. I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding or elopement.

Bethany and Dan are the absolute best! From the moment we had our first skype call with them, we instantly felt connected. They are as charming, funny, and supportive as they are talented. 2020 was one heck of a year and they were along for the ride with us, from closed venues to date changes and postponements, Bethany and Dan took it all in stride and reassured us that it would all work out. They made our small and intimate wedding in November feel like an incredibly monumental day and captured all of the moments, big and small, perfectly. The only downfall—having to say goodbye to them when it was all over! :)

Bethany and Dan are the finest photographers I’ve ever worked with and, without question, the best decision my husband and I made for our wedding. When our wedding plans drastically changed amidst COVID, we both agreed that our photographers were the top priority for our small ceremony. Bethany and Dan were incredible from the very first phone call. They were so accommodating, flexible, and thorough. They are so clearly dedicated to making every client’s wedding day beautiful and special. They have a natural rapport that makes them so easy to work with and they even offer a survey to ensure they tailor their work to you. But, I feel the best summation of my very high opinion of them was right before I walked down the aisle. Bethany snapped a quick picture of me and let me have a glance on my way out. That one picture was worth every single penny.

Bethany and Dan are great at making you feel comfortable enough to let go, so your personality shines through in their photos. They give great directions, and obviously have a vision in mind for each photo they take. Plus, they're super fun! We had a blast doing something that is often a chore.

Bethany and Dan were phenomenal -- I can't say enough positive things about them as people, our experience, and the photos. My husband and I had to cancel our wedding due to COVID and switch up plans entirely for an elopement. Bethany and Dan made us so happy that we did this! The photos are so genuine and artistic -- nothing forced or staged. I couldn't recommend them more!

I cannot speak more highly of Bethany and Dan! They were INCREDIBLE to work with. They were super helpful pre-wedding in developing a schedule and setting expectations. We especially appreciated how they were totally game to take photos with us in *5* different locations on our wedding day. And along the way they captured moments big (first kiss!) and small (private moments of laughter and affection) with an authenticity and creativity that simply cannot be staged. Post-wedding they were also amazing, including creating a gif of one moment from our wedding day. We love our photos so much and just wish we had more space to display all of them!!

Bethany and Dan are the BEST! They photographed my sister-in-law's wedding 5 years ago, and when we got engaged, we knew exactly who we wanted at our wedding. If you're not used to having someone take pictures of you for hours at end (we were not), it can be extremely awkward--they make it so easy and comfortable. They are awesome to work with and they have an amazing artistic eye. Their photos are so much more than just your typical posed wedding photos--they're a work of art! We just got our wedding photos back a week ago and they are all we could have hoped for and more. They perfectly captured every moment and every detail. Bethany and Dan were nothing short of the best wedding photographers ever!!! Not only are their photos absolutely gorgeous works of art, but they are truly awesome to hang out with on one of the biggest days of your life! They were so organized, professional and helpful leading up to and on the day of and helped make the day go by incredibly smoothly. They are also super cool, laid back and are somehow able to make you feel both at ease and like a natural-born model at the same time :) Their photos are stunning. Bethany and Dan were just awesome. We had a tiny elopement in Bar Harbor so the pictures were extremely important to us. Not only do they do amazing work (which you already know if you've seen their portfolio) but they are also awesome to work with. Not only were they great with us, but also with my husband's 6 year old daughter.

Bethany and Dan are a truly amazing duo. I knew from our first phone conversation that they were so personable and fun, but I had no idea just how instantly comfortable we would be with them. Our photos are beyond beautiful. They captured EVERYTHING and in such a poignant and emotive way that makes you just go back to them to relive the day happily over and over. I can't thank them enough for how special they made us feel and the incredible amount of attention they paid to every detail. They were so creative and artistic and QUICK with getting us the resulting finished photos! It was so easy and effortless, which is not usually said about almost anything to do with weddings! We were so lucky to have Bethany and Dan as our photographers for our wedding in Freeport, Maine last year. They are fantastic - so easy and fun to work with, so professional and detail-oriented, and their photos are beautiful, too! We love every single one. My husband and I don't have professional photos taken frequently, so we were nervous about looking awkward. Bethany and Dan assured us that would not happen and then made us so comfortable that it was basically impossible. They also went through every detail of our timeline with us and our planner before our wedding day - they really helped us refine our timeline. They scouted perfect locations for our photos, too. I really can't say enough about how wonderful they are to work with. Several of our guests also commented on how awesome they are and we regularly get compliments on our stunning photos. I would recommend them to any of our friends and look forward to working with them again in the future!

I cannot overstate how great our experience was with Bethany & Dan at our wedding. Before the wedding we had a few calls with them so we could all get to know each other and learn how they work so by the time the wedding came we had total trust in them and it payed off! They did a great job at setting up wonderful posed photos and capturing natural moments throughout the entire event. All of the photos that came back were excellent and we'll cherish them forever. Bethany and Dan are, honestly, the best. They were awesome to work with with from the start, and were such a calm and happy presence on our wedding day. Even though we're usually not the type to love being in front of a camera, something about Bethany and Dan made us so much more comfortable to let loose and enjoy the moment. And the fact that they are a couple in love just makes working with them feel that much more fun and authentic – you can really tell they love what they do. Not to mention, they're great at it! Of all the wedding venders we hired, and ALL of them were excellent, I truly feel that our wedding day never would have been as amazing as it was without Bethany and Dan. Often it’s the photos the photographers send you AFTER the wedding that you treasure and appreciate, and then decide, yes, we made the right choice in our photographers. We let me tell you, not only did Bethany and Dan create ART out of our favourite wedding moments that have already impressed our friends and family that have seen the photos, but the compassion, professionalism, and care that they showed DURING our wedding were some of the moments I am forever grateful and thankful for. Additionally, they were easy to communicate with before and after the wedding, they got ALL of our photos back to us incredibly quickly, and they give you 100% access to downloading ALL of your photos at the highest resolution. Bethany and Dan were incredible. They were so easy to work with and they really captured how the day felt. From taking pictures of us dancing outside to catching my grandmother giggling in a corner, they caught all the little details. When we first began planning our wedding, photography was one of our top priorities. We knew that though many cherished memories would be made on our wedding day, photographs were what would capture those memories and moments and hold them for many years to come. It was with that in mind that we began our search. I stumbled across Bethany and Dan pretty early on. From the second I skimmed through their website I was wowed and felt I didn’t need to search any further. I reached out to them and we promptly set up a teleconference. Their work had already sold me, but getting to chat with them and get a feel for their personalities sealed the deal. From the initial planning stages through our wedding day Bethany and Dan stayed in contact, whether through email or by mail. It’s very apparent that they value their clients and that thought goes into every little thing that they do. They were always available to answer any questions we had or address any issue that came up. By the time our wedding day arrived we couldn’t wait to meet them! Bethany and Dan arrived on sight on our wedding day, and my husband and I both felt like it was meeting an old friend. They were both warm and inviting and had the type of personality that put even the most nervous of people (both of us that day!) at ease. They were an absolute joy to work with. You can tell they adore their clients, their craft, and one another. We had so much fun with them! Not only did we enjoy their presence, but our families did as well. I could hardly wait for the photos to arrive and was that bride that checked her email daily even though I knew it would weeks before anything came through. When they did, I was floored. These photographs that captured on our wedding day were beyond anything I could have ever imagined or hoped for. I cried with joy as I relived those special moments, looking through he gallery. THEY. ARE. STUNNING. I cannot begin to guess how many times I’ve looked through them. With our gallery, were able to go through and select favorites, but I couldn’t. Each and every photo is my favorite for one reason or another. Not only are we extremely happy with the photographs we received, we’ve also received countless compliments on our wedding photos from friends and family. I simply cannot say enough about these two. They’re absolutely fantastic!

Bethany and Dan were so awesome! They were an absolute pleasure to work with. We found them online and really liked their work. After meeting with them over the phone, we knew they were a good fit for us. Though they had to travel for our wedding, they were incredibly punctual (in fact, a bit early). They jumped right in once they arrived and made us feel comfortable while also ensuring that we were going to get pictures of our wedding day that captured everything we wanted. Bethany and Dan worked incredibly well together, with each throwing out different ideas, splitting us up for individual pictures, and both making sure our time was used efficiently. Dan made us feel extra special in finding and scouting out ahead of time a new place where we were able to take photos just outside of Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor. We were very happy with our "sneak peek" photos and are so excited to see the rest of them!

Bethany and Dan were lovely to work with! We were long-distance and didn't actually meet face to face until day of. But they were great about communicating a clear plan (including payment plan and day-of planning). They worked well with my coordinator to stay on schedule through weather and ten zillion family portraits. They were bossy enough to corrall family into place but laid-back enough to make us comfortable. The preview photos we've seen so far have been lovely - so excited for the full set in a few weeks!

These guys are the best! Not only do they take incredible photos, they make it fun! They came all the way out to Iceland with us to take dramatic wedding shots in some of the most beautiful places on earth. We all had a great time together and the photos came out INCREDIBLE. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a wedding photographer, you really can't find better or more talented people to work with.

Best. Photographers. EVER. Seriously, I need another occasion that I can have Bethany & Dan photograph. We were lucky enough to snag Bethany and Dan for both our engagement photos and our wedding day as well. As someone who is very into details and timelines, Bethany and Dan made me feel completely at ease on the day of the wedding. We talked prior to lay everything out. From the timeline of the day, to family photos and table photos they were there and ready! The pictures are AMAZING. I did not expect as many as we got - holy cow! And they are all awesome! In addition, my husband and I opted not to get a videographer even though we had a choreographed first dance. Bethany and Dan captured every spin and turn to perfection. Bethany & Dan Photography came highly recommended to me and I have been telling everyone about them!

Would give them a 10 if I could! These two are special people and quite amazing at their craft. Fun and professional to work with, masters at what they do artistically and they make everything easy and comfortable for you. They really take the stress and guess work out and just do an incredible job. You won't have to think about where to be who to get together the day of because they've helped you map it all out before hand and take the lead on the wedding day. Extremely organized, attentive and personable. Their photos speak for themselves!!! Couldn't recommend them more!! The absolute best! Bethany & Dan spent a lot of time leading up to the wedding making sure we felt prepared and gathering tons of information to ensure that our wedding day would not be full of questions. They were incredible professional on site, keeping my giant family in order for group photos. (How does one get a perfect photo of 40 people at once?!!). We moved very fast for our first look, they made us feel very comfortable and had direct feedback & ideas to get the best photos possible. Having the two of them working together was amazing too. Almost every single couple had a amazing photo that we could share with them after the wedding and everyone complimented about how much they felt very comfortable around them at the wedding and then that the photos were just so amazing. I'm pretty sure a few friends may have to hire them again in the future!

Bethany & Dan are AMAZING! They made us feel so comfortable and worked tirelessly to get the timeline and shot list right. They even took the time to have a call with my mom to calm her nerves when she got a bit anxious. We're still waiting to get all of the photos back, but from the few teaser photos they shared with us, I have no doubts that we'll be impressed. Definitely hire them!

Bethany and Dan Photography was far and wide the best decision we made when planning our special day. They work perfectly together as a team. Their mix of creativity and professionalism is spot on. They both make you feel so comfortable and really know how show you how to be the best you, you can be in a photo. The images they captured and created were very polished and finished and they obviously have an incredible eye for the perfect photographic moment. They captured romantic, intimate moments as well as fun, whimsical, silly photos. We felt complete trust in the direction they were going and the final product was beyond our expectations. The photos they gave us will forever remind us of how special and beyond our expectations our elopement was, and for that I am eternally grateful.

One of our highest priority items when planning our wedding was booking photographers. My husband and I are both lovers of photography and wanted to make sure we got the best of the best for our big day, as the pictures will live on. After some searching online, we decided that Bethany and Dan had the best portfolio of our options. I also loved this quote from their website: “From the mimosas during makeup, to jumping in the pool at the after party, we want to be there.” So, I contacted them and was happy to hear that they were available for our date. We also bonded over our mutual reaction at our engagement - asking “Are you sure?” It was fate! We quickly set up a time to talk with them over the phone, and after this initial call, we knew they were the right choice for us. They seemed like people we would want to be friends with. I felt I would enjoy spending my big day with them. What more could you want in your wedding photographers? We ended up getting Engagement Photos done soon after hiring them, and the photos turned out amazing. We used one of these for our Save the Date and also for our Christmas cards last year. It is so great to have these casual photos that captured us at such a special time in our lives. Bethany and Dan contacted all of our other vendors prior to our wedding day. I don’t know if this is typical of other wedding photographers. I assume it is not, because my vendors all told me about how nice it was. They shared with these vendors the write up on their blog that they did regarding our engagement photos and their “Meet the Couple” blog post about us, and the vendors seemed really happy that they got to know a little bit more about us as a couple. Our wedding was on May 30, 2015. It was such a pleasure to have Bethany and Dan with us on our big day. Their calming presence really helped to keep my nerves in check. Before our First Look, my nerves were on edge, and Bethany was so patient with me and really helped to calm me down. They were so organized during family portraits, which really helped move this along quickly. During the ceremony and reception I barely noticed them around. They have such a great way of moving around among the crowd without ever feeling in the way. We recently got our photos back. The photos are amazing. They captured our day so perfectly. One of my best friends that was not able to attend the wedding said this “I really think the photographers are great! And you know, I haven’t seen many pictures of you lately, but each time I saw a picture of you smiling or laughing or walking, it brought back memories. I thought, I’d know that smile anywhere. Besides wishing I could hear what you all were saying, I felt like I was there. They captured the moment for sure.” If you are considering hiring Bethany and Dan - DO IT. They are really the best of the best. Thank you so much Bethany and Dan for providing such precious keepsakes for us to look back at in the years to come.

We are absolutely blown away by Bethany & Dan’s work. We are SO pleased with how our photos came out and our overall experience with this amazing duo. From the start, they were easy to talk to, fun to chat with, quick to respond to emails, accommodating, and reassuring. I even had questions about their opinions on vendors and they gave some great suggestions. Their photos speak for themselves as far as the actual quality, but the small relationship we built with them over the year or so planning was also super awesome. They’re just an amazing couple who want to capture the most perfect moments on your day. It is an INVESTMENT but they are worth every single penny and more. Photography is not something you want to skimp on, on your wedding day. The guests at your wedding will forget about what kind of food or cake you had, and eventually the favors and centerpieces will be forgotten about, too…but your photographs are what you’ll have for years and years after that so it SHOULD be something you invest in. They are professional and know what they are doing, how to keep a schedule, and how to go with the flow when 281908 crazy relatives want to take a formal photo with the B&G…They were so easy to work with and helped everything run seamlessly as far as taking photos goes. We barely noticed them on the dance floor during our reception but when I got the photos back, they took the most incredible pictures! They got right up in there and really captured the party atmosphere and how much fun the night was. They are masters of their craft and we are so lucky they were our wedding photographers! We got back soooo many photos and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve looked through them. They are just amazing. All of them. Not a single one have I looked at that I haven’t fallen absolutely in love with. The hardest part is going to be picking which ones we want for our album! Thank you, Bethany & Dan. We were SO LUCKY to have found Bethany and Dan! They were SO nice, friendly and professional! Bethany really helped keep me on track in the weeks leading up to our (very intimate) wedding. I could email her and ask her opinion, and she got RIGHT back to me! They really made everything so easy! Right down to the contract and payments! Once we met them I was put right at ease (I had some wedding jitters). They are SO down to earth and sincere and NICE!!! Bethany immediately made friends with our little dog (who can be VERY territorial)! And I thought I would feel silly being the center of their attention, but I didn't! They don't expect you to know where to look or turn or put your arms--they guide you through the whole experience!!! And the day really was about my husband (now) and I! We had our ceremony and I totally forgot they were there! My husband (fiancé) at the time, didn't really "GET" why I was SO excited about finding photographers whose work I saw online and REALLY loved! When we got home and (TWO DAYS later!!!) they sent us a link to our pictures, and I put them up on the flat screen, my fiancé said #1. they were worth every penny #2. I was right, they were great #3. he LOVED so many aspects of our pictures (lighting, creativity, quality) and #4. that we're hiring them for our next big event. It takes a lot to impress my husband--and they met and EXCEEDED BOTH of our expectations! They also traveled for us! From Newton, MA to our location in New Castle, NH. And I'm so excited they're local enough for us to recommend to other friends!!! They were so sweet and I couldn't have imagined a better experience!!!

My husband and I just got married in June 2011, and Bethany and Dan were our amazing wedding photographers. I cannot sing their praises loud or often enough. From the first time we met them--at our engagement session a few months prior to the wedding--we felt completely at ease with them. Throughout the session, we collaborated and improvised, fueling each other's creativity. Bethany & Dan's enthusiasm and passion for what they do is contagious and inspiring. By the end, we were all buddies and exhausted from having tons of fun. Our engagement pictures reflected the candor and amazing energy from that day, but most of all, they perfectly expressed our relationship. In the photos, our love for each other, our quirks, our home/surroundings, everything comes through more naturally and beautifully than we ever could have imagined possible. Needless to say, photography was one thing we did not have to worry about for our wedding. After the success of our engagement session and after getting to know Bethany and Dan, we felt safe in their hands. When the wedding arrived, Bethany and Dan were there in all of their glory, snapping photos all evening long. Our guests remarked on how dedicated and hardworking our photographers seemed to be throughout the entire wedding. Their hardwork shows. We could not be happier with our wedding photos, which tell the story of our wedding day with such a moving vividness, rawness, candidness, etc. When my husband and I viewed the wedding slideshow that Bethany and Dan had made for us, we both cried because the moments that they'd captured were so intimate and real that we couldn't help but re-live that day with all of its emotions and precious details. We watched that slideshow again and again and again in utter joy! We've said it many times before, and we'll say it again--We love you, Bethany and Dan!
