Bethany exceeded our expectations as a photographer for our special day! She is the most kind, sweet-hearted, and respectful person and truly made the stressful task of finding a photographer, arranging engagement photos remotely (planning an Iowa wedding from Chicago; did engagement photos in Chicago), and then coordinating our photos for the big day so simple. We appreciated that she went out of her way to really get to know us as a couple and then capturing our personalities together on camera. If Aric and I were unsure about anything she was always offering suggestions and always respected any requests from the families (aka moms of bride and groom). :) We would highly recommend Bethany for any special occasion you want captured on camera! I cannot say enough good things about Bethany. She is truly a gem and we are THRILLED with our engagement and wedding photos. What I liked most about Bethany is that she is not pushy or needy. I've been in weddings before where the photographer was constantly bugging the bride about schedule or what shots she wanted - on my wedding day, Bethany knew exactly what I wanted because we had worked together on a questionnaire prior to the day. She was completely in the background and I hardly knew she was there yet she was always there when she was supposed to be. She's also incredibly adaptable. We had planned to board a bus to take us offsite for photos, but the bus broke down on the way to get us. Bethany immediately found a good location at the venue and didn't miss a beat. She has a very calm demeanor, which kept everyone very relaxed and natural looking for the photos. Lastly, we really value how Bethany treats her clients like friends and you can tell she's very invested in getting the shots that you want and that you will look at and cherish for the rest of your life. Choose Bethany and you will not be disappointed.

When I got engaged there was no doubt in my mind who I wanted to do our wedding photography. I had met Bethany McNeill Photography the previous spring at my brothers wedding and fell in love with how she worked as well as her pictures. She wants you to be yourself while still making you feel like you are the star of the show. Her pictures are absolutely amazing and I would go to her for any special event that I would have in the future. From the Starbucks date to where we first met with her, to the card she sent before the wedding to tell us to go have some alone time at Starbucks. Everything she does is to make you feel comfortable. She is extremely accommodating as well. We had plans to go to several sites and take pictures after the wedding but we decided to just spend time with out amazing bridal party instead. She is willing to drive to you and trust me you will not be disappointed. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Bethany McNeill Photography for capturing our amazing day.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Bethany, is absolutely one of the best photographers I have ever seen. Working with her was the greatest experience! She made everything so easy and fun and I couldn’t have had a better time with her! She worked with me on everything and always had such a positive attitude. She has great ideas and a brilliant mind. She is extremely talented and I highly recommend her!!!! Also her photos are beautiful.

Bethany is absolutely AMAZING!! We were planning our Iowa wedding from Texas, and Bethany made the stressful task of finding a photographer so easy. She met with us and got to know who we are as a couple, she listened to our requests and offered perfect suggestions, and when it came time for our photos she captured us so naturally and effortlessly! Our photos, for both our engagement and wedding day, portray who we are as a couple. There are not a lot of people in this business who can capture moments so authentically and beautifully as Bethany. She treats every session as if they were her own photos, and takes care of you in the same way. She is so easy to work with, can roll with situations on the fly, and provided an environment that made us feel very relaxed with her (which was perfect for a wedding day!). She knows how to capture events in a way that really take us back to the moment, and I couldn't have picked a more perfect person to document our special day. There aren't enough "Thank You's" to express our gratitude to her!! We 100% recommend her to capture your special moments, and once you meet her you will definitely agree with us!

Bethany was our photographer for our engagement and wedding! We can not say enough kind words about her! For our engagement photos she was so flexible and open when it came to us picking a location. Even though it was two hours away in southern Iowa, the location was important to us so she was on board in a heart beat. Once we received our engagement photos she stole our hearts with her attention to detail and the love she capture in each photo. Then came out big day. She was so calm through all chaos but so energetic and passionate about taking our photos! She was so helpful with planning a timeline for our big day which helped make the day so smoothly! Bethany was by our side through every important moment that day to make sure she could capture it all, which she did. Our wedding photos were breathtaking. We haven’t been able to stop looking at them and it’s been two months since the big day. I recommend Bethany to all those engaged couples out there! You don’t just get a photographer, you get the whole package!
