Betsy Couture

through every detail of the alteration and it turned out beautifully. I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to help create the perfect veil for our perfect day!!

re perfect seamstress. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. She is the BEST. A++! If you need anything altered. I recommend her 1,000%!

o find the perfect color, shape, and design for my gown to make sure I looked and felt as beautiful as possible for the big day. We met a few times for further fittings and consultations and were all set to have my dress ready by June. Then in late January, my fiance got very sick. Not wanting to postpone any possible surgeries or treatments, and not wanting to push back our wedding, we decided to move the wedding up to late March. As we began adjusting our plans, I was heartbroken when I realized I will likely have to figure something else out for my dress with now less than two months till the wedding. I called Betsy and told her about the situation, and asked if she could possibly make me a very simple dress, or even alter another one for me, knowing there may not even be enough time for that with such short notice. She was so understanding of our situation, and to my relief said: “We’ll make it work!”. She worked tirelessly to make sure that I could still have my dream dress in time for the wedding, and was always so kind and compassionate toward my future husband and I during his health struggles. Betsy is wonderful! Not only is she one of the most talented people I have ever met, but she is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I came away from our consultations with not just my dream dress, but a close and cherished friend. There’s no one quite like Betsy. You couldn’t choose better!

ways prepared for our appointment with a personality to boot. Love that laugh ! We had an idea of what we wanted the dress to look like. Betsy created "the dress" added her special touch that made it beyond our vision. Thumbs up Five Star 10 Star if I could.

would like to wear my Mothers wedding dress. Well of course the dress needed some altering. Little did we understand exactly how much. The entire top of the dress needed to be recreated and the lace would be a challenge to find and match plus the lace was no longer a true white color. Betsy assured us, changes could be made and would not sacrifice the beauty of the original dress. She searched high and low from East to West coast for lace. We had given up hope and then a miracle. Lace was found with a vendor that Betsy works with. My daughter and I picked apart the top saving the lace and all the buttons. The dress was taken from short to long sleeve and the lace from the original dress was hand sewn to the new lace to create the new top. Betsy was always on time, warm and welcoming. Her attention to detail, and creativity made the beauty of the dress flawless. Everything my daughter wanted. She was absolutely radiant and glowing on her wedding day. My Mother is no longer with us but I have no doubt she was extremely happy as I was, seeing her granddaughter in the dress from 1963. Hugs to you Betsy and Thank You for making my daughters dream of wearing her Grandmothers wedding dress a reality!

comfortable. Her friends didn’t even know it was there. It looked like the dress came that way. We plan to buy more Lizzy’s in the future. Such an amazing solution to today’s fashions.

isite workmanship. My daughter and I felt very taken care of throughout the quick process, as we were under a time crunch to secure a dress for her wedding. I would definitely recommend her!

uld have both with removable skirts. I even had a bonus straight skirt getaway dress underneath! She was spectacular! The design progressed as Betsy got to know me, helped me pick fabric to match my skin tone, and added details that fit my personality as well. My dress had a lace back, which I love and is gorgeous, but I didn't want my underwear to show. I wore a Nude Lizzy Slip under my dress and no one could tell the difference; it was light, flexible, and didn't stick to my skin or get caught in my armpits. She seriously is a one stop shop! It would have been the same cost for me to buy a dress and alter it, but I never would have gotten what I dreamed up with Betsy! She worked magic within my budget.

to have someone work on it. What I wanted was also very challenging- I wanted to use my mom's dress, but I didn't like very much about it! Elizabeth worked with me every step of the way to transform the dress into something that I genuinely love! Elizabeth is very professional, creative, and extremely talented. She made me feel totally at ease with something that held a lot of tension and emotion for me. She is very easy to communicate with and her prices are very fair. Can't emphasize enough how great Besty Couture is! I consider myself extremely lucky to have found her!

and literally created the dress of my dreams. The end product was a beautiful vintage 50’s heirloom tea length dress that was everything I wanted and more. Betsy is so friendly and easy to work with and makes sure to create something you love and does so with a pristine attention to detail. If you want a unique and meaningful piece of art, Betsy is your gal. Couldn’t have been happier!

uth. With the amount of work that needed to go into my dress I did a LOT of research and decided to go to Betsy. That was the best decision I could have made. She was very upfront about everything (what we could do, what we couldn't, and the pricing). The amount of beading and layers on my dress didn't make her job easy but my dress turned out perfect!! She charges by the hour which I really appreciated. I feel like some other places rush through their work and are going to charge you the same fee regardless. Pricing ended up being right at about what I was expecting and hoping to pay when I first bought the dress to Betsy and the dress came out better than I could have imagined!

g up the beautiful masterpiece, Betsy made sure every detail was perfect. Every time we met with her, you would have thought she was ONLY working on my daughter's gown, which we very well knew was not true but the importance placed there was felt and a friendship was made because of it. Do yourself a favor. Get your one-of-a-kind dream dress from Betsy Couture. You won't regret it.

an my grandmother was. We searched high and low to find matching lace since my grandmother's gown had yellowed with age. Besty was amazing at pointing us in the right direction and finding exactly what we needed. She truly made my dream dress come to life. I can't thank her enough for her sweet demeanor, attention to detail, and kindness through the whole process. Besty is an absolute joy and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. She will make your dreams come true!

s I wanted. She had me look at all different fabrics and touch them and hold them up to other fabrics to see the differences. This was amazing to me! I didn’t realize how many different fabrics there were to choose from but with the help of Betsy we came up with the perfect fabric. Betsy was very flexible with my schedule. She made sure to tell me what our next appointment would involve and what to bring. She had so many great tips. My dress is so beautiful and has personal details that are perfect for me. I was sad when it was my last final fitting. I told Betsy I have enjoyed our time so much together that I didn’t want it to be my final fitting. She is very welcoming to family and friends at the dress fitting. 5 stars!

t looks beautiful! Betsy definitely knows what she's doing and listens to you to make sure you get what you want. She was also very prompt about getting my dress done, so I had no stress about making sure it was ready on time. My appointments with Betsy were so fun and full of laughter. I'm very excited to wear my new vintage dress on my big day! I cannot recommend her enough!

it less 80's (she didn't have puffy sleeves, but there was the Queen Anne neckline). I also wanted it to be kind of Boho, but didn't want to take away too much from the original dress. Betsy was the perfect person for the job! Plus, when some stitching came undone after bridals and before the wedding, she happily had us bring it by to fix at no extra charge (even though them coming undone was my fault). Not to mention being in her studio feels homey and comfortable, which is important when someone is poking and prodding you to alter a dress! And her pricing is totally fair for what she does and how quickly she can do it. I cannot say enough good things about Betsy. Everyone should go to her.

me of her work! When I tried on my dress after the final alterations my only thought was, "It's absolutely perfect!" Betsy has a depth of skill and experience that allows her to take any project and create a customized masterpiece. It was such a pleasure to work with her and if I had to do it again I would 100% choose Betsy. If you're looking for a reliable place for alterations, I definitely recommend Betsy's Couture!!

tudio, I could tell I made the right choice: it was a professional and inspirational space. She was attentice and consultative, and even got my dress done earlier than I expected. Highly recommend!

one super quickly and for a very reasonable price. A week or two before my wedding I started panicking that my dress might be too long. Betsy took the time to meet with me again in her studio to look at the length again. It ended up being the perfect length the day of - she knew what she was doing! Weddings can be stressful and you want everything to be perfect and it was so great for her to take the time to meet with me again and make sure I was 100% happy. The dress was perfect on the day of, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

me of her custom wedding dress designs - gorgeous! She spent time getting to know us and hearing plans for our daughter and SIL’s big day. Overall, a great experience.

rtable. My girls (ages 3 and 9) wore them for hours at to two separate receptions without complaints and they still ask to wear them whenever we have to go somewhere "fancy". The quality and style were incomparable. We will definitely be back for future occasion dresses.

Slip kept me covered without distracting from the gorgeous lace pattern. No one knew I had a layer under. Add to that how thin they are and I almost forgot myself that I was wearing an additional layer. If you are looking for an under slip to keep you covered and modest, Lizzy Slips are a must have!!

y heirloom that it is. She even added a few features that I loved. It was perfection. Could not have been happier!!

o be sized up, which I figured would be tough. Betsy did a beautiful job - the dress looked like it was made for me, and she even updated the silhouette so it looked timeless. I was also coming in from out of town, and she was great about working with my travel schedule for fittings. I highly recommend Betsy Couture!

d beautiful. Originally we were going to have to do a lot of work to make it fit ( I had just had a baby) but I was able to lose enough weight where we only had to do minimal alternations. She is warm, welcoming and definitely an expert in wedding dress creation and re purposing vintage dresses. Highly recommend her!

possible alterations, who turned out to be very rude and would not listen to my needs. I had found Betsy from some online reviews, and even though her specialty is custom gowns, and gown redesigns I decided to check with her about just doing some alterations. I am so happy I did! Betsy assured me that what I wanted was possible, but also gave me options that fit within my desired budget! She ended up working with us to hem my moms dress as well! I could not be more grateful that she was willing to work with us. I can't wait to find an excuse to have her design a custom dress for me!!

over to pic out the right color champagne/nude fabric, and texture to suit me well, and look good next to her other maids. It was refreshing to work with Betsy Couture as it was timely, organized, and VERY detail oriented! She is very upfront and personal about the design process, and flexible with me as I figured out what I really wanted. I will definitely be going back for my wedding gown! Best part is no need to hassle with alterations when it's made just for my body! Love her to Bits!!

ly complemented my figure. She emphasized all of my best assets. Then we picked out the perfect shade of fabric to match my skin. Fittings went smoothly and Betsy was a joy to work with. Betsy even hand-sewed lace onto my dress to create the perfect design!!! My dress was completely unique!! No one had ever seen anything so elegant!!! I would highly recommend Betsy to everyone!!!

about what she does and the individuals she's doing it for. If you are looking for the PERFECT dress, for a fabulous price built and tailored to you, then look no further because Betsy Couture is the best place to look your best and the biggest day of your life!!!!!

challenge! I appreciated how honest she was about the difficulty of the process, but I immediately trusted her and her skills. When I came back a few weeks later, not only had she finished my dress flawlessly, but she had found a way to do it that made the entire process more cost-effective! But above all that, I think the best part about working with Betsy was becoming friends with her. My mom and I still talk about how fun it is to be around her, and we're wishing we were still having a dress worked on so we had an excuse to go back to see her. :) I would recommend Betsy to any and EVERY bride--whether they're looking for a custom gown or alterations.

paper and then into reality. The dress fit perfectly and I got so many compliments. I loved that this was a one of a kind dress, that it wasn’t a dress from a factory that everyone else wore. Betsy is very skilled and she even changed some things last minute. She is very timely and professional and organized. She made me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day which is something I’ll never forget

be able to wear her dress. It was a dream come true! Working with Betsy was such a pleasure and I always felt calm and happy to spend time with her - a great reprieve from normal wedding planning! She is so sweet and personable. It was easy to describe my vision to her. She even made me barefoot sandals from some extra lace - even though she had never done it before - and they turned out perfect! The dress turned out so beautiful; classy and whimsical, just my style - though way better than I imagined. And it altogether cost less than I thought I would spend if I bought a dress at a store. I felt so beautiful and honored on my wedding. I wish Betsy could make all of my dresses! She is really one of a kind - so if you want to be a one of a kind bride.....you have found the right place! Thank you, Betsy!

ng warm and friendly as well as very professional. We relied heavily upon her experience and design expertise as my daughter described exactly what she envisioned for her wedding dress. The dress is fantastic! It is a perfect reflection of my daughter, class and elegance, with her dreams woven in. We felt great trust in Betsy the moment we met her and our instincts were not wrong! I would highly recommend Betsy Couture!

the best one you'll ever have in Utah Valley. Absolutely love her!

my body type. As a result on my special day the dress fit perfectly, and I never thought I could look and feel so beautiful and confident in a dress. Everyone has commented on how beautiful and unique my dress was, and most people have said they wish their dress would have fit as well as mine did. A lot of bridal shops have the same fabric/material making you feel like you will run into someone who will have a dress similar to yours. Betsy's fabric is hand-picked and unique, you won't find a bride who has your same material. Betsy has a passion for what she does, and she will work until she and you feel like your dress is perfect. Also I loved working with Betsy because she was so personable, and I felt comfortable telling her what I did and didn't want. Another thing to consider is Betsy's Lizzy slips, this made my dress light-weight, and easy to move in. Overall, I loved working with Betsy. If you want dress envy from future brides and past brides go to her because everyone will be jealous of your dress.

ress turned out better than I imagined and I felt like a true princess on my wedding day. She made the whole process fun and exciting and included me in every step. I’m so glad that I chose Betsy!

s! It was functional, beautiful and very comfortable! I would highly recommend Betsy for any wedding gown. She is easy to work with and gets things done!

to bring my idea to life. She created a beautiful, elegant tea length light blue gown with a sheer jacket. My wedding was in July and I received many complements on my dress. She is a joy to work with. She has a wonderful patient persona and a great sense of humor. She is a true professional and created a dress that far exceeded my expectations. If you want a beautiful custome dress, you can't go wrong with Betsy

p with. Betsy was straightforward and extremely helpful when we came to her and was honest about what using my grandmothers dress would entail. I eventually decided not to use the old dress and instead had Betsy make me a new dress from the ground up. Creating my one of a kind dress with Betsy was an astounding experience. She listened to everything to every desire/opinion/taste we had and ended up making me the perfect dress. Not only did I get the exact dress I wanted, it turned out even better than I had imagined. Betsy is always kind, funny, responsive, flexible, and reliable. I would recommend her to anyone!

me and my mom to decide what to keep and what to change. I absolutely cannot wait to wear my dress on my wedding day. Betsy is a magician!

Everything was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. She was so patient with me and really took into consideration what was important to both myself and my mother in the final pieces. Betsy was incredibly accommodating the appointments so my family and bridal party, who were all out of state, could attend.
