My fiancé and I are not the sort of people who take a lot of pics, let alone romantic pics. We were stunned by how amazingly comfortable Betsy made us feel, and how we actually had fun at our shoot. And then there were the photos... she managed to capture the fun and joy of our relationship, and, of course, the love. It's so hard to make this stuff not cheesy but she did. I have no doubt she would have brought the same eye and energy to shooting our wedding. She made me feel like a star on our big day, and knew I had an attention for detail, so she was very good about helping catch the "fly away" hairs, unflattering angles, etc that she knew we would not want. Her positive affirmations while shooting kept me pumped, even after my face started to spasm from smiling and taking so many pictures! She kept everyone laughing all while keeping a strict focus and timeline. We received our sneak peak while on our honeymoon just a few days after the wedding, and it is definitely going to tide us over because the shots she shared are amazing. The pictures are so bright and happy, and I can see no difference between any shots from her and the 2nd photographer (who we are so glad we had because she was great and definitely helped us to enjoy more of our wedding because we were able to get so many more photos done at once!) I could go on forever about Betsy, and just how lucky we were to have her capture our big day. We will be forever grateful!

a really what to ask and Betsy explained everything so confidently, I knew she was the one! Every correspondence up until the wedding was amazing. Absolutely no complaints! Betsy answered all of my emails and had great suggestions when I didn't know what to do. My husband and I are not models nor do we really feel comfortable in front of a camera, but Betsy made everything feel so easy and natural. She brought a second shooter with her and the second shooter went to my husband's side to photograph him, groomsmen, family, etc. and Betsy stayed with me as we decided not to do a first look. They both were amazing and honestly were the best fit for each side. My husband loved his shooter and I, of course, loved Betsy. She was genuinely so happy to be there shooting my wedding and that just made me feel so good. I was unsure about a lot of wedding details and as things do go wrong on the wedding day, I was feeling like my wedding was matching my vision. Well, even if that was true, you would have no idea by looking at the photos Betsy took. She showed me some little 'details' shots she took while we were getting ready and the photos looked exactly as I wanted them to. Betsy was so positive and up beat, she made me feel so comfortable right away, I completely trusted her and let her do her thing. One thing my husband was worried about was that we would be able to tell a difference between what Betsy shot and what her second shooter shot and looking at the photos, there's no way to tell! They matched their exposure perfectly and they all look so amazing!! Betsy and her shooter ended up taking over 1600 photos! I was shocked when she said that! About a month after our wedding, Betsy sent over a sneak peek of 20-30 photos and honestly, it was the best day! I had been waiting so long to see them and they were absolutely perfect. Even my husband was shocked at how good they were and said he knew they were going to be good, but not that good. He was truly blown away by how amazing our photos look. Betsy did a great job editing all 1600 photos and sent all for us to see! The platform she sent them on is really easy to use, view, share and get prints. I am so beyond happy that we chose Betsy to shoot our wedding and I am recommending her to everyone. Even one of my bridesmaids said she's 100% hiring Betsy when she gets married because of how amazing she was and the beautiful work she did with our photos. rld class musicians bring on their tours to capture the magic? Betsy. Who do celebrities get to draw out their personalities and personal branding through still images? Betsy. What's most striking about Betsy's work is that she's not just an amazing photographer who understands angles, camera settings and lighting, she's an amazing artist and post-production editor. She'll get the perfect shot even if the real-world conditions were far from pristine or perfect. If I had to summarize Betsy's magic it's this: sometimes the world, background, lighting, etc. isn't as picture-perfect as the magic and happiness you feel living in the actual moment. But, in Betsy's photographs, each image — even the ones I felt would be "blah" while she was shooting—came out looking just as incredible and magical as the ones I thought would be my best shots while she was snapping away. There were no bad pics. This is perhaps Betsy's artistic genius. She makes the backgrounds more vibrant and beautiful without raising any suspicion that they've been retouched. I've seen engagement photos before where the retouching is obvious and makes the pictures look unreal—artificial. But Betsy's take on a silver screen effect, similar to how multi-million dollar movies get colorized by professionals who make the film subtly vibrant. You can't tell the image has been retouched, but it depicts the background so much better than any other image of the location you've ever seen. For comparison: one of my friends was at my proposal taking photos on her DSLR, I got her pictures immediately and color adjusted them myself with professional software. It was a painstaking process that consumed hours of my weekend. Ultimately, my DIY pics came out solid and I was very pleased with myself—but my images still paled in comparison to Betsy's pics. Despite my raving about colorization, don't lose sight of Betsy's equally compelling talents. Betsy's photos look like they belong in the Library of Congress because she understands the intricacies and foundations that are necessary during the shoot, before post-editing starts. Her photographs of your special moment will look like they belong in a museum. They'll make you feel emotions that photos of yourself have never made you feel before. My entire family, my fiancé's family, my fiancé, and I literally cried tears of joy as we went through them, multiple times! We were hot messes, both figuratively and literally. You will be too. Lastly, Betsy has a background in theater and attended one of the best colleges for theater, the University of Southern California. I bring this up only to say that Betsy's artistry and creativity run deep. Her vision is multi-layered and she gets things about framing and presentation that the typical professional photographer isn't tuned into. Betsy, you're a true Renaissance woman of contemporary times. A goddess who literally manipulates time and space. I promise you're going to hang the photos she takes on walls and they'll upstage every other pic around them...making you want her to shoot every special moment you have for as long as you live. #life-long-besty-fan-following. For what you get in priceless memories, her rate is beyond worth it.

Shortly after our engagement, we had Betsy shoot our engagement photos, and the session was so lovely. My husband HATES having his picture taken, but Betsy made the session so comfortable for us both. She is such a bright light, with such amazing positive energy, that the 2 hour shoot went by in a flash.
