Cliff Notes Review: Freddy Fresh says that he will keep the dance floor full and he means it. If dancing at your reception is important to you, then go with Fred! He was very easy to work with, his prices offered a great value. He has been doing this for many years and his knowledge of the wedding process is spot on. He needed very little guidance and was self sufficient taking a *huge* load off our shoulders on the day of. The music was a home run, there was not a single moment the floor was empty all evening! I'll offer a more in depth review for people that may be on the fence. Freddy Fresh did such a good job we feel we owe him a proper review. Communication: From the first point of contact Freddy Fresh was on the ball. I contacted him three separate times until the wedding day and he responded within hours all three times if not immediately. He is an easy going guy, and an effective communicator. There was no gray area in my understanding of the process or what he needed from us to make things go off without a hitch. Master of Ceremony: From the moment he stepped onto the wedding/reception site you can tell that Fred has done this many times. He found the owner of the venue, and figured out his power situation for the reception as well as the ceremony. He had himself set up an hour+ in advance with little to no guidance from us. Which is a massive help, as we had so many other things on our plate. He is very self sufficient, and this took a lot of stress away. After he was set up he came over to talk about specifics for the ceremony ,bridal party entrance, speeches, cocktail hour music, etc. And then he took it from there. His timing was spot on for the entire evening, and everything went off without a hitch. Music: When you hire any vendor you see the reviews, but you just don't know how it's going to go until the day of. I can say with 100% confidence that Freddy Fresh surpassed all expectations. The DJ was one of the most important decisions for us since a wedding is a celebration after all. He has an great website where you give him 20-50 songs that you want to hear throughout the evening and then he will build an evening of dancing based off your tastes. We had Country, Oldies, Rap, EDM, the classics (cha cha slide), etc. And he was able to mix them together so that the dance floor was hopping at all times. He is an extremely attentive DJ and reads the dance floor constantly. If the crowd wasn't feeling a genre change, he'd change it back or try another. If people weren't ready to slow down, he'd pick the pace back up. I said it above, but if dancing is important to you. Freddy Fresh is a sure bet!

Fred helped create the wedding of our dreams. He showed us confidence and reassurance from the moment we inquired about our wedding date. He created such a fun atmosphere that kept the party going until the very end. Any time we had a question or an idea, he was right there supporting us! He is professional, responsive, creative and so much fun to be around.

If you want your dance floor packed all night long, amazing mixing, and someone who will be more than just someone hitting play, do not go anywhere else. We had the pleasure of having Damian at our wedding and we had so many people tell us how awesome the music was and how much fun they had. Leading up to the big day he made everything so easy and was fantastic at communicating throughout it all. He mixed songs and had the perfect level of interaction with our guests throughout the night. Would not hesitate to do it again with them!

We cannot recommend Freddy enough! Freddy arrived early to set up and was extremely attentive to our unique requests. He handled the audio for our ceremony, set up speakers outside, and played music indoors, all while doing an incredible job. The party was rocking the entire time! Guests came up to us and complimented Freddy on his awesome song mixing!

Best DJ we could possibly have asked for! The resources made planning easy, and they made sure that our experience as a couple was at the forefront of the entire process. Our DJ was a true professional and did a great job of keeping the dance floor crowded and fun all night while seamlessly blending in our “must play” list. The music was curated to our personal style for every portion of the celebration. It was so nice to know we didn’t have to worry about a thing the entire night - Our DJ kept things running smoothly and kept the party going. We were incredibly pleased with the excellent level of service provided, and highly recommend this company!

Hiring Freddy Fresh to DJ our wedding was the BEST planning decision we made! As a musician, I was looking for someone who is a true artist (i.e. someone who pays attention to changing keys and tempos) in addition to someone who knows how to throw a party. I wanted more than a "press play" DJ, and I got exactly that! Freddy Fresh was THE. MAN. He mixed live, generating sick beats that helped keep our crowd on the dance floor all night long. I had numerous guests approach me both during and after the wedding to specifically compliment our DJ. In fact, he was so good that he had the entire bridal party jumping around the table and chanting his name. I cannot describe how happy I am with the Better DJs service and would recommend to literally everyone in the greater Twin Cities and Wisconsin area. Do yourself a favor: skip the unnecessary internet research and book Better DJs for your next event!

We just had our wedding a couple weeks ago and I still cannot get over how much fun we had! One of our main priorities when planning our wedding was that we want everyone to think it was the best reception they’ve ever been to and that we don’t want anyone to leave the dance floor. Freddy Fresh was the only person I thought I could trust to make that happen and he absolutely delivered. We had a very specific playlist we wanted and Freddy was able to really make the night have high energy from start to finish. His mixing was amazing, his transitions were on point, and he knew when to switch the song up. His ability to read a crowd and keep everyone dancing was seriously impressive. I couldn’t tell you how many people came up to us throughout the night telling us it was the best reception they had ever been to!! If you really want y our reception to stand out amongst other weddings, Freddy Fresh is your guy!!

DJ Freddy Fresh was fantastic. He stepped up last minute to play our ceremony music after our original plan fell through, and the switch-up went seamlessly - the ceremony was perfect! He also did a great job with announcements during the reception, and kept the dance floor active, playing a variety of music that catered to guests of different ages and interests. Thank you Fred!

Freddy was very professional and always maintained open communication. We needed to make a few changes, and he was always very receptive and played every music genre we wanted for our wedding (I still have blisters on my heels). He allowed us to use his mics and speakers as my cousin sang a song in the processional. I would recommend his services in a heartbeat!

Freddy dj’d my partner’s surprise birthday party at Watershed Spa in NE Minneapolis. Freddy did an amazing job creating a set using her favorite songs spanning a wide variety of genres even including Hanson. He also mixed in some music I asked for that was wildly different from her favorites. Freddy was communicative, professional, punctual, and fun to work with. He also recorded his set and shared it with us after the party! My partner listens to it all the time. I’d recommend Freddy for any events large or small and I am planning to book him again for future events. Thanks Freddy for an awesome evening!

DJ Freddy Fresh provided ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music for our wedding, and did an amazing job! He was very thorough in ensuring he had the correct versions of songs for the ceremony and entrances. During the reception, he was great at reading the room and adjusting what was played accordingly to keep the dance floor packed all night. He’s not just pressing play on a playlist, he’s an artist - live mixing, tempo matching, mashing, across all genres throughout the night. We had so many complements from our guests. Our British friends knew who he was and wanted pictures with him! Freddy was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with!

Excellent service, very professional, and on point with all the dances we had prepared, our family members are Spanish speakers and our DJ did an amazing job providing all the announcements in Spanish and English. We danced all night long! Thanks for helping us to make our day even more fun!

DJ Fred was incredible! Love that he is passionate about music like we were. Fred kept the dance floor packed for 3 hours and really read the crowd. He even went above and beyond to help do a custom mix for our recessional. He was professional and communicative - he even jumped through hoops for our venue insurance!

Looking for a real DJ? Look no further than Freddy Fresh! My husband and I hired Freddy as our wedding reception DJ, and he did an amazing job. We were very picky in choosing a DJ for our big day as we didn’t want a run-of-the-mill person who would simply create a playlist and press “play.” Freddy used his skills to feel out the crowd and match the music to the crowd’s movements. We received so many compliments about the music, and were so happy with our decision to choose Freddy. We wanted a great vibe, good transitions, and a great MC. Freddy ticked all those boxes and more. He was also communicative (but not too much), professional (but not stuffy), and personable (but not annoying). He read the room well, didn’t play anything on our no play list (which was extensive), and had our friends and family on the dance floor all night. Multiple guests asked me how I found him because he was so great! 11/10 would recommend.

We used DJ Fred for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception and he did fabulous. The music sounded clear and amazing, the transitions were incredibly smooth, and he was very talented at reading the crowd. 10/10 recommend him for any wedding or party that wants to have a good time! Very easy to communicate with and get in contact with as well!

Freddy Fresh was incredible! For anyone choosing a DJ for their wedding, I wouldn’t look any further. Such talent, easy to work with, and really reasonable rate. My wife and I have very particular and eclectic tastes in music. We provided a playlist to Fred a few months before so he could get an idea of what we like and he absolutely BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN!!! It wasn’t a religious wedding, but DJ Freddy Fresh TOOK US TO CHURCH! Day-of, he was extremely flexible as we last minute moved our dance floor outside, he accommodated quickly and got the party going! I highly recommend him to any couple, but especially anyone that wants all their guests raving about the DJ, a stress-free planning and day-of, and a DJ that gets people that don’t settle for top-40.

He is highly knowledgeable and experienced, took plenty of time to talk and meet with us to hear our wedding music dreams, and most importantly, our dance floor was packed the entire night. Everyone had the most fantastic time dancing and celebrating. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

DJ Freddy Fresh was absolutely great to work with! He was very professional, communicative, and it was clear from our first interaction with him that he was drawing upon a wealth of previous experience. This benefited not only our planning phase (Freddy was basically the only vendor we weren't at least a little concerned about), but when the event came, everything went very smoothly. He timed announcements expertly, he knew how to read the room, and he was very responsive to our timing as some small things fluctuated. Working with Freddy was more similar to working with a teammate than coordinating with a vendor! And of course, everyone had a blast!

Fred was extremely professional and responsive to our emails and texts. He collaborated with us on our music and made sure he had all the details - keeping up with our changes. We loved how energetic he always was. He met us at our venue as soon as we arrived to reassure us he was all set up. He played all the songs on our playlist and is super awesome at mixing music and keeping people dancing. Everyone who commented about him only had very positive things to say and had a great time. Also, it was very nice that he checked on me and the groom individually several times throughout the evening to make sure we were having fun. I can't recommend DJ Freddy Fresh enough!!

The custom mixes he did throughout the night kept the dance floor flowing all night long. Amazing service! As a small company that provides a personalized service, our dj was very involved in the process. We communicated back and forth through 8 months. When our big day came, everything turned out as expected. Our guest had a wonderful time dancing and the dj made our special day a very fun one! We will definitively recommend Better Djs again.

Fred was our DJ for our wedding on 7/30, and we truly could not have asked for anyone better. He was very communicative in the time leading up to it, and we got to fill out a custom form with music we wanted to hear. Day of, he was very kind, fun, and professional! The dance floor was busy all night, and he even found some Tunisian music on the spot (not easy) for my husband's father. Fred is absolutely the very best at what he does, and we can't recommend him enough!

Freddy was the life of the party! Five stars!! My family was here from New York, and we danced non-stop all night. We booked Freddy a year ahead and communicated back and forth when we had questions. If you truly want to have fun at your wedding reception, book Freddy ASAP. He was totally worth it!

Thanks, better DJs, especially Damian, a very professional DJ who kept our guests dancing all night long. My wife let me take care of the entertainment, and I'm glad I chose better DJs, it was affordable, and overall, everybody was happy. I definitely would recommend better DJs to play at any wedding.
