𝙃𝙀𝙔 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀𝘽𝙄𝙍𝘿𝙎! I'm Betty, the lead photographer + owner of Betty Lea Photography! I am a Kentucky native, but I absolutely love to travel! I began photographing weddings in early 2017, after completing my Fine Art degree, and what a journey, and honor, it has been! My 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 is very eclectic, vibrant, timeless, and creative - with a dash of moody romance. I love to capture my couples in their true light, and I pride myself in being able to create a fun + safe environment with my couples when I am with them, allowing them to be comfortable in front of my camera! I am not strictly documentary or posed. I make sure to catch the natural moments, but I do also pose my couples in their best light and use prompts to create natural looking images. My 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 is true-to-color, and slightly moody. I do, however, edit each and every wedding custom to the day itself. Meaning that your wedding gallery will look like just that, YOURS; and not like any other wedding I have done. 𝘼 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚: - you will have FUN! (and I love a fun wedding!) - when looking back on your wedding day, you won't just remember taking a bunch of photos. - You never need to worry about any type of lighting condition, I am prepared + experienced! - You don't need to worry about posing! I have you all covered! - I will always strive to capture your day as is, and only stepping in when needed to find the perfect locations, giving my artistic input (if wanted!), and directing everyone in a timely fashion during family formals so that we can get you all to dinner and dancing! tly recommend her to other clients due to breach in contract, unprofessional behavior and poor communication. She was an hour and a half late for the one and only in person planning meeting we had and was full of excuses. I understand life happens and there are challenging circumstances, but as a professional you need to have access to other options and be better about communicating to your client. I would go days without hearing from her in response to emails and texts, and when I did get a reply it was always more excuses. During the wedding I had several vendors approach me at the end and say she was very pushy and rude to them about the things she needed and were not happy having to work together with her. Her contract states she will have your gallery to you in 8 weeks. I never heard from her. I had to reach out multiple times and she had more excuses. She stated she hoped to have them before Christmas. No photos. I followed up and she stated I’d have them by Christmas (told my mother this too). No photos. I asked again and she stated I’d have them 1/8/23. No photos. She had more excuses then I care to know. She FINALLY got them to me on 1/10/23 after needing “more time to upload them due to illness.” Overall very very disappointing experience and unprofessional. She never once offered to compensate us for breaching her own contract. It’s also very wrong to download all your life problems on your client to receive sympathy. I’m a very understanding person and if she had communicated at all and tried to abide by any of her promises I would have been more compassionate. Not worth the money and hassle to use her again sadly.

ew date became available, my husband and I were scurrying to secure vendors. We had very modest needs for our micro-wedding, but Betty Lea surpassed all of our expectations. She was a great communicator in the weeks leading up to our date, and gave us lots of useful direction and feedback. And the quality of our photos was excellent! She managed to make each moment shine. We are so happy with the results. If we had to do it all again, we would definitely choose Betty Lea in a heartbeat! ctures. We were able to have fun and be ourselves and that resulted in some incredible pictures. Our wedding day was a dream. Betty helped us with the timeline of events for the day, she made sure to get all of our photo requests, and she worked so hard to capture every moment of our big day. She was so kind and fun to work with, it honestly felt like she was another guest at our wedding! I couldn’t imagine finding more in a wedding photographer, it makes it so much more personal to have that connection! In addition to making our day the absolute best that it could be, Betty was great to work with through the process. She was very responsive to messages, flexible to my several changes of plans, and very professional and punctual. We had our engagement pictures back to us within the time frame she had given and she sent us our wedding sneak peaks just a couple days after the wedding! Aside from all of this, her work is phenomenal. I couldn’t be happier with our pictures, they are even better than I imagined. We are forever grateful we found Betty Lea Photography! I would recommend her without hesitation!

My husband didn’t like the thought of pictures, but at our engagement session Betty made him feel so comfortable and even more so on our wedding day. She was so thoughtful in what she included and captured so many moments that I didn't get to experience myself, that I will get to relive forever! They were so professional, prepared and just a blast to have there with us! On top of absolutely loving our video, Betty went above and beyond by delivering a gallery of images to me once she heard that I wasn't happy with our gallery from our photographer that was provided by the venue. She went through all of her video clips and captured still images from them, so we could also have photos that we love, too. I am so thankful we hired Betty and her team. We will always recommend her!!

photos. Then on the day she more than delivered! I have no idea how they managed to capture the candid photos that they did, as they were not in the way at all! Then for the staged photos, we were given great guidance on where to stand and how to face to get the best light. All in all, I am glad that we went with Betty as we have photos that we are proud to show off to friends. She was very punctual and made our day even more special! Also, bubbles make an excellent replacement for confetti we love our photos of us leaving the church!
