elatively) stress free and enjoy the day as much as I could. So I sought out a reasonably priced DAY OF wedding coordinator. I found Beyond Eventful and Debbie reached out to me immediately after sending an inquiry. What really drew her company to me was the price of her services; I had already planned out majority of the big things for the wedding (locked in all vendors by this point), it was the little details I had left. Her price was within my budget and really the most reasonable I found. But she was worth EVERY PENNY and more because of what she did for us. Because we were not local, we met virtually every month until the last month, in which we met a few times leading up to the wedding, no matter what though if I needed something she was very easily accessible on all forms of communication which gave me great peace of mind. She has been in the business for a long time, and it shows in her professionalism and her many resources both with vendors and with her own inventory of wedding items and tools which were all offered to me. If she had something, she would use it! (ex: battery operated tea lights/candles, photo booth set up, boxwood wall back drop, and various other little tablescape items). Our meetings were always very productive, collaborative, and informative; she really led me in the right direction with everything. She was always honest and so helpful. She helped me mitigate two big situations, adjusting our contract with our bartender, and finding a new florist two months before our wedding. And this is all being done BEFORE the wedding, the things she did the day before and during the wedding day were beyond everything I could've thought of. From figuring out little setbacks (missing ONE place card that I printed), to coordinating the whole ceremony, and being there on the rehearsal day; Debbie and her team were SO professional, very kind, and were there for everything that we needed. And then at the end she took care of handing out our vendor tip envelopes, wrapped up and packed away all of our wedding supplies, and left us with a beautiful and thoughtful gift waiting in our room after everything was done. Above all else, Debbie and her husband Ford felt like family by the end of this whole experience. So if you're looking for a wedding coordinating team in the northern Michigan area (we were in Traverse City, about 1 hr from where she is based) then contact her immediately! Not to mention her amazing husband who put in hours of his time creating structures that brought to life my crazy ideas! She was always reachable at any hour to talk through anything I needed and always made me feel like I was her top priority. She went above and beyond to help me select the best vendors and set aside entire weekends (injured with a boot on her leg!!) to meet with multiple vendors since we live downstate.
She also helped with our welcome party putting together a whole beautiful charcuterie board for my guests that I didn’t have to worry about at all, took pictures of all my guests and stayed the entire time the night before the wedding to help with everything. Everyone the day of loved her, Debbie and her husband worked SO hard stayed late and kept track of everything so my family didn’t have to worry. ’t expect that we would have a wedding planner but I cannot express how happy I am that we reached out to Debbie in the process. Once we connected with Debbie feeling overwhelmed with about 6 months left until the wedding day (but still many vendors to book and decisions to make), she knew exactly what vendors we should reach out to and was willing to help with every little detail. She had so many great ideas as we were figuring out exactly what we wanted and we are so happy we followed her lead. Debbie is truly happy to do as much as you need (and even made us custom napkins when the ones we planned to use were out of stock). She put together our vison perfectly – the décor we used for the wedding was better than we imagined and saved us so much stress!
On the wedding day, Debbie exceeded our expectations in every way. The decorations were stunning — every detail was thoughtfully arranged and the venue looked amazing. She coordinated the timeline and all the vendors seamlessly, kept everything running smoothly, and ensured we could enjoy our celebration without any stress. When disaster struck and our original venue didn’t work out… she was extremely flexible and helpful in finding a new venue. Communication was always spot on and she was always willing to chat even with our busy schedules.
During the weekend of the wedding, I received so many complements from everyone on how efficient and organized she is. It was such a relief having her and her hubby set everything up and not having to worry about anything so we could truly enjoy every moment. s in advance and get practical tips on what we should be focusing on with the planning. In this process as well, we were pleasantly surprised with how much she could offer other than her actual labor, and things we hadn't necessarily thought of (water glasses, chargers, things from her own garden to cover decoration needs, etc.); none of which came with additional charges which was a welcome change from many vendors who have extra charges for everything.
The true value though was the experience of our actual wedding day. As with anything requiring extensive planning and coordination, there were some mistakes and mishaps we realized retrospectively; but very few things were allowed to rise to a level that needed our attention and nothing drew focus away from our overarching goals for the day (which we established in our many virtual meetings beforehand). I will mention too; that despite our experience, is likely there was a lot of effort never brought to our awareness to keep everything on track. For this, the best metric I can offer is that many friends/family reliable for their honesty commented on the great details and experience they appreciated.
TL:DR - well worth the cost for ease of mind, an experienced set of eyes to point out what you haven't thought of yet, keeping vendors/guests in line, and applying some mild redirection to the couple to ensure they remember that they are celebrating something special.

ntly planning, reminding, and following up to make sure everything was taken care of. She took care of several things on her own that really wasn't part of her duties to help me because I was going through a rough time. Also since Covid was still around a few companies we hired canceled on us at the last minute but Debbie was on it immediately and either found another company or did the job herself. The catering company canceled the day before my daughter's shower so Debbie cooked several dishes herself that day and then went shopping the morning of the shower, brought all the food to our home and put it all together for us! The shower was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Debbie had foot surgery two weeks before our wedding but that didn't hold her down a bit. She was there early with a boot on her foot and was on her feet the whole time taking care of everything to make sure the wedding went off smoothly. She was amazing! I definitely recommend Beyond Eventful for your daughter's wedding. Debbie will make sure it is the best day of your daughter's life! We are so very grateful and blessed that we chose Beyond Eventful and Debbie for our daughter's wedding planner!

commend Debbie to anyone getting married. We LOVED her! We first met Debbie when she did a Bachelorette party in 2017 for a friend. The Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt Wine tour was so fun and creative for our group as we were a bunch of elementary teachers. So when I got engaged I thought you would be perfect for my wedding in 2018. We were really getting stressed out and you were so fun and creative we couldn’t have picked anyone better for us. In just a couple of weekly meetings you developed an idea of what we wanted and presented us with a fantastic plan. You took all our ideas and then brought them to life and added even more. Even when we had a last minute “welcome dinner” you calmly took charge and got it done last minute for us. You managed every step of the way from the drivers that transported the guests to the returning of the groom’s tux you and the girls were amazing! Everyone still talks about that weekend as the best.
