Beyond Eventful

bie's insights and relationships with vendors brought together the perfect team to make our wedding perfect. She was attentive, funny and very organized. I soon realized we had hired the right person to help us with our dream Wedding. I must say she was worth every dollar and we highly recommend her to anyone wanting the perfect wedding. We still get compliments about how lovely everything was and how it was their favorite wedding. We agree.

elatively) stress free and enjoy the day as much as I could. So I sought out a reasonably priced DAY OF wedding coordinator. I found Beyond Eventful and Debbie reached out to me immediately after sending an inquiry. What really drew her company to me was the price of her services; I had already planned out majority of the big things for the wedding (locked in all vendors by this point), it was the little details I had left. Her price was within my budget and really the most reasonable I found. But she was worth EVERY PENNY and more because of what she did for us. Because we were not local, we met virtually every month until the last month, in which we met a few times leading up to the wedding, no matter what though if I needed something she was very easily accessible on all forms of communication which gave me great peace of mind. She has been in the business for a long time, and it shows in her professionalism and her many resources both with vendors and with her own inventory of wedding items and tools which were all offered to me. If she had something, she would use it! (ex: battery operated tea lights/candles, photo booth set up, boxwood wall back drop, and various other little tablescape items). Our meetings were always very productive, collaborative, and informative; she really led me in the right direction with everything. She was always honest and so helpful. She helped me mitigate two big situations, adjusting our contract with our bartender, and finding a new florist two months before our wedding. And this is all being done BEFORE the wedding, the things she did the day before and during the wedding day were beyond everything I could've thought of. From figuring out little setbacks (missing ONE place card that I printed), to coordinating the whole ceremony, and being there on the rehearsal day; Debbie and her team were SO professional, very kind, and were there for everything that we needed. And then at the end she took care of handing out our vendor tip envelopes, wrapped up and packed away all of our wedding supplies, and left us with a beautiful and thoughtful gift waiting in our room after everything was done. Above all else, Debbie and her husband Ford felt like family by the end of this whole experience. So if you're looking for a wedding coordinating team in the northern Michigan area (we were in Traverse City, about 1 hr from where she is based) then contact her immediately! She and her Husband are absolutely amazing people.

e to life! We could not have done it without beyond eventful! They are professional, organized and definitely go above and beyond. We were so pleased we plan to hire them again for my second daughter’s upcoming wedding!

ade my vision come to life. She thought of every single detail and made me feel so at ease. Not to mention her amazing husband who put in hours of his time creating structures that brought to life my crazy ideas! She was always reachable at any hour to talk through anything I needed and always made me feel like I was her top priority. She went above and beyond to help me select the best vendors and set aside entire weekends (injured with a boot on her leg!!) to meet with multiple vendors since we live downstate. She also helped with our welcome party putting together a whole beautiful charcuterie board for my guests that I didn’t have to worry about at all, took pictures of all my guests and stayed the entire time the night before the wedding to help with everything. Everyone the day of loved her, Debbie and her husband worked SO hard stayed late and kept track of everything so my family didn’t have to worry. Everyone appreciated her and she took all the stress off me so I could truly enjoy my special day. I’m going to miss her so much and would recommend her to any couple!

going on time and budget. The day was perfect and she was so easy to work with. She understood our wish list and prioritized it. We couldn't be happier with our choice or the results.

e was able to problem solve and fix anything that started to go bad from the start. We relocated our 1st look and it was beautiful and dry. All the guests couldn't believe how fun our wedding and guest experience was. Everyone on the team really wanted our day to be perfect. We can't recommend them enough. You will love Debbie and Ford and Jessica was sweet too!

us feel completely at ease going into our big day! We cannot recommend her enough.

’t expect that we would have a wedding planner but I cannot express how happy I am that we reached out to Debbie in the process. Once we connected with Debbie feeling overwhelmed with about 6 months left until the wedding day (but still many vendors to book and decisions to make), she knew exactly what vendors we should reach out to and was willing to help with every little detail. She had so many great ideas as we were figuring out exactly what we wanted and we are so happy we followed her lead. Debbie is truly happy to do as much as you need (and even made us custom napkins when the ones we planned to use were out of stock). She put together our vison perfectly – the décor we used for the wedding was better than we imagined and saved us so much stress! On the wedding day, Debbie exceeded our expectations in every way. The decorations were stunning — every detail was thoughtfully arranged and the venue looked amazing. She coordinated the timeline and all the vendors seamlessly, kept everything running smoothly, and ensured we could enjoy our celebration without any stress. She even organized a shared album and took lots of pictures throughout the day so we could look back at all the memories the day after the wedding. We also need to give a shoutout to her husband Ford, who helped her coordinate everything on the wedding day! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the wedding was, how much fun everyone had, and what a perfect day it was. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your wedding unforgettable and make the process enjoyable, we cannot recommend Debbie enough! She is a joy to work with and our special day truly would have not been the same without her.

liver. Our wedding was perfect from her details with the design to the timeline that allowed us to spend time with our guests and still do all the important things. It was a dream come true. You can't go wrong with Beyond Eventful and their team members. Everyone cared about what we really wanted and our guests experience. It was a magical day and we couldn't have chosen better.

we were able to relax and enjoy the wedding. While we met with her in advance to make decisions on linens and place settings, to see the entire room decorated exceeded expectations. The venue, food, beverage and music made the event exceptional and Debbie and her husband Ford kept everything running smoothly. We couldn't have done it without her.

tation. Her meticulous attention, expertise, and creativity transformed every detail into perfection. She was always available to answer questions, offer advice, and calm our nerves. Debbie handled every aspect of the planning process seamlessly. We ended up down sizing our wedding and Debbie was very accommodating and helpful with finding the next steps moving forward. On our wedding day, everything ran like clockwork. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that Debbie had everything under control. Debbie was extremely personable, caring, and happy to step in for whatever was needed. She is very respectful of budgets and always would offer up suggestions to make changes when necessary. We cannot recommend Debbie enough. She turned what could have been a stressful experience into an enjoyable and unforgettable journey. If you want your wedding day vision to come alive, hire her immediately—you won’t regret it!

. The quality of their work was truly gorgeous, understated, and unique. They were everywhere at once in the background, making sure everything ran smoothly and perfectly. Beyond Eventful stayed within our budget and were super kind throughout the planning process. We interviewed several other planners, but they were the only ones who really wanted to know our story and showcase it in a personal way on our wedding day.

. I never worried about anything the day of the wedding which gave me the opportunity to be present on my special day. If you debating on weather or not to get a planner my answer to you would be DO IT and pick DEBBIE!!!!

r. From the table settings to the flowers they made it seamless. We can't say enough about how wonderful our day went and the planning process was fun and stress free. You won't find a better planner and trust us they are worth it.

king back, we are so grateful we chose Debbie as our planner. Words can’t fully express how thankful we are for Debbie's guidance throughout the entire planning process. From design to coordination, her expertise and support made everything stress-free and enjoyable. Debbie is incredibly caring, professional, and brimming with creative ideas. She listened to our vision and made sure every detail, from wedding rituals to decor, was exactly as we imagined. Even though our guests met Debbie for the first time on our wedding day, they were all immediately impressed by her warm, approachable nature. As for the design and decor, we were absolutely blown away. When I entered the reception hall, I was in awe of how perfectly she brought our vision to life. It was stunning and beyond anything we had hoped for. Thank you, Debbie, for your dedication, your care, and for giving us an unforgettable wedding experience. We couldn't have asked for a better planner.

or and continued to be helpful even outside the scope of her responsibilities

best options for our special day. She handled every unforeseen circumstance with grace and flexibility, always keeping things running smoothly and making the process fun along the way. It's clear Debbie genuinely loves what she does, and her passion for weddings made our experience stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hardworking and dedicated planner to make the wedding of their dreams come true!

our first video call, I could tell she truly loves what she does and would be an absolute joy to work with. When disaster struck and our original venue didn’t work out… she was extremely flexible and helpful in finding a new venue. Communication was always spot on and she was always willing to chat even with our busy schedules. During the weekend of the wedding, I received so many complements from everyone on how efficient and organized she is. It was such a relief having her and her hubby set everything up and not having to worry about anything so we could truly enjoy every moment. Every situation a bride doesn’t want to deal with was taken care of before I even knew about it. Overall, DO NOT miss out on the opportunity to work with this lovely woman. I am absolutely so thankful for everything they did. If there is any moment in the future I would need a planner, Debbie is my girl! 💕

m the very beginning, Debbie was organized, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Debbie, a Northern Michigan local, has extensive knowledge and experience working with all the vendors and venues in the area. This expertise was invaluable in ensuring everything came together seamlessly. She took our vision and made it a reality, handling every detail with care and professionalism. Whether it was finding the perfect vendors, managing our timeline, or ensuring everything ran smoothly on the big day, Debbie was always on top of things. One of the things we appreciated most was how Debbie truly voiced our wishes and made sure that all our requests were honored. On our wedding day, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the moment, knowing that Debbie was taking care of everything behind the scenes. She seamlessly coordinated with vendors, managed any last-minute changes, and ensured that everything went off without a hitch. Her husband was also there to help, and together, they made us feel like family. If you’re looking for someone who is not only experienced and capable but also kind and genuinely passionate about creating the perfect wedding, look no further than Debbie and Beyond Eventful. We are so grateful for her hard work and would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!

s plan and carry out each event. She has great relationships with so many vendors and venues Up North and was absolutely ready to go to bat for us when any gave us trouble or inconsistent information. Likewise, on the day of the wedding Debbie and her team were superb and vital to us being able to have a beautiful day. We had inclement weather and Debbie made sure every alternative arrangement was in place on a compressed timeline. Debbie always seemed to strike the right balance of offering her own suggestions based on her expertise and deferring to our ideas throughout the whole process, and we could not recommend her more highly!

ires. She brought it all together and it was stress free and amazing. We can't thank the team enough for taking such good care of us and our guests. I highly recommend them. Josephine

big day. Debbie was always ready to help, offering assistance without hesitation and consistently following through with care. Whether it was providing feedback to the caterers or ensuring my makeup was perfect with the artist, Debbie had our backs. Her service was both personalized and extensive, including on-site visits, handling invites, designing signage, and solving any issues that cropped up. A big thank you to Beyond Eventful and the amazing team. Thanks to them, the journey felt like a smooth and joyful start to forever.

r my wedding. Debbie offered advice, resources, knowledge, and decorations throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding everything was taken care of. Debbie and Ford set up everything, took care of any mishaps throughout the day and tore down everything. It was a huge stress reliever and well worth it. When I look back on my wedding day years from now, the wonderful memories will greatly be thanks to Debbie. If you need wedding help, please consider Beyond Eventful.

y recommend her if you are planning an event.

was attentive, listened to my vision, and made it a reality. There were things that happened beyond anyone's control regarding flower delivery, desserts, etc., but she went above and beyond, to remedy the problems like making my bouquet last minute and even baking cookies. I see her as family now, along with her awesome husband, who helped out on our special day. Debbie, thank you and we love you!

s in advance and get practical tips on what we should be focusing on with the planning. In this process as well, we were pleasantly surprised with how much she could offer other than her actual labor, and things we hadn't necessarily thought of (water glasses, chargers, things from her own garden to cover decoration needs, etc.); none of which came with additional charges which was a welcome change from many vendors who have extra charges for everything. The true value though was the experience of our actual wedding day. As with anything requiring extensive planning and coordination, there were some mistakes and mishaps we realized retrospectively; but very few things were allowed to rise to a level that needed our attention and nothing drew focus away from our overarching goals for the day (which we established in our many virtual meetings beforehand). I will mention too; that despite our experience, is likely there was a lot of effort never brought to our awareness to keep everything on track. For this, the best metric I can offer is that many friends/family reliable for their honesty commented on the great details and experience they appreciated. TL:DR - well worth the cost for ease of mind, an experienced set of eyes to point out what you haven't thought of yet, keeping vendors/guests in line, and applying some mild redirection to the couple to ensure they remember that they are celebrating something special.

They listened to both of us and made all our dreams come true. Debbie was passionate about our wedding and not just all weddings. Her attention to detail allowed us to be confident that our wedding would be great. Her team was great, quiet and always in motion. They were always smiling and happy to help. We strongly recommend hiring Beyond Eventful to designs and plan your wedding. Their connections in the community run deep and the other vendors couldn't speak more highly of them.

e knows everyone and can really get things done right without a lot of fuss. The design she came up with was great and the then on our Wedding Day the whole team was there and it was PEREFECT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

y of our dreams. Everything turned out better than I imagined. Debbie made the planning process and coordination with all of our vendors much less stressful. Debbie and her team take care of everything on your wedding day so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend Behind Eventful to help any bride and/or groom make their wedding vision come to life.

ntly planning, reminding, and following up to make sure everything was taken care of. She took care of several things on her own that really wasn't part of her duties to help me because I was going through a rough time. Also since Covid was still around a few companies we hired canceled on us at the last minute but Debbie was on it immediately and either found another company or did the job herself. The catering company canceled the day before my daughter's shower so Debbie cooked several dishes herself that day and then went shopping the morning of the shower, brought all the food to our home and put it all together for us! The shower was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Debbie had foot surgery two weeks before our wedding but that didn't hold her down a bit. She was there early with a boot on her foot and was on her feet the whole time taking care of everything to make sure the wedding went off smoothly. She was amazing! I definitely recommend Beyond Eventful for your daughter's wedding. Debbie will make sure it is the best day of your daughter's life! We are so very grateful and blessed that we chose Beyond Eventful and Debbie for our daughter's wedding planner!

e and beyond to fit everything we wanted into our budget. Our wedding was a dream because she worked so hard to make everything perfect. I highly recommend hiring her and her team for your event!

, vintage shopping, sightseeing, and even a day of boating was extremely splendid! We will definitely use her for other events as they come along. Debbie is very organized and listens to your vision to make it magical. Call Debbie Luhrs...she is excellent!

commend Debbie to anyone getting married. We LOVED her! We first met Debbie when she did a Bachelorette party in 2017 for a friend. The Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt Wine tour was so fun and creative for our group as we were a bunch of elementary teachers. So when I got engaged I thought you would be perfect for my wedding in 2018. We were really getting stressed out and you were so fun and creative we couldn’t have picked anyone better for us. In just a couple of weekly meetings you developed an idea of what we wanted and presented us with a fantastic plan. You took all our ideas and then brought them to life and added even more. Even when we had a last minute “welcome dinner” you calmly took charge and got it done last minute for us. You managed every step of the way from the drivers that transported the guests to the returning of the groom’s tux you and the girls were amazing! Everyone still talks about that weekend as the best. We happily recommend you for anyone doing a small wedding or an intimate wedding that grows into 172 just can’t go wrong with you and the team of professionals you work with.

the other vendors informed of changes and scheduled them to keep everything flowing and beautiful. We found her to be well organized and she had an easy charming way of handling people and getting things done calmly. Everything was stress free and beautiful even when it literally rained for 3 days and could have ruined everything. She was able to secure we suddenly needed because of the rain. She was under-budget and the best choice we made and even had 3 people from her team come to help with the rain preparations. They were funny and quick. I would recommend her to my friends and family. Actually I already have. When you need peace of mind you can have it with her.
